and symptoms they were talking about were things that normally appear when a boss is threatened by you or feels that He is more confident than them.

I think other people are probably also struggling with this thing of figuring out why their boss doesn't like them or why their boss treats them a little differently, so in today's video I want to talk about seven signs your boss is threatened by you. Now they might do this intentionally or not, but if you've noticed that you used to be kind of the star kid or the star employee on your team and now all of a sudden you're starting to work on these projects that don't really have much sense for no reason, sometimes supervisors will tell you that this is a really challenging project. We trust you to do it, that's a good sign, but sometimes they won't tell you anything and just tell you that this is how your jaw will change your role and you're left wondering why this is happening. this doesn't really make sense where I'm going that kind of thing is a very clear sign that your boss is probably threatened by you the second sign is that your name is not showing up now if you have worked on a project That has been very difficult or if you're part of a team that has executed something really, really, I guess impressive.

Typically what happens is a good supervisor, a good boss, will introduce your name to the rest of the organization and say, "I mean, shout out." I thank this team or these people for this hard work, so what could happen is that during this past pandemic, many of their teams have been recognized for their excellent support in helping teams suddenly become mobile and be able to work a lot of remotely now. of organizations would say "hey, thanks to the team" or thanks to these people for working overtime and putting in extra hours making sure that all of our infrastructure is secure, all that kind of stuff now, if you've noticed in those comments or those emails or in those presentations or in those conversations where your name is missing and you were a big contributor to that project, a very clear sign that your boss is trying to pressure you or your boss is trying not to give you as much attention as what you might deserve and at the end of the video I'll give you a quick little synopsis of how you can change this and help and make sure that your boss recognizes you and gives you the projects that you deserve.

The third sign that your boss is threatened by you. His opinion is now silenced if he discovered that at the meeting. He tries to talk or tries to say something and his boss talks over you. His boss dismisses his opinions. His boss says his idea might not work. Sometimes they are like that, some bosses are a little more on top of employees than others, but a normal manager would let you say your part and then consider it as part of an option when you talk about the overall project or the direction or strategy of what you are trying to achieve If you have seen that your boss constantly talks down to you, when you speak your mind or express your opinion, your boss dismisses it or talks over you, that is probably a sign that they are threatened by you and are trying to hijacking the authority in the room when in reality you might be the one who knows more about what you're talking about than them, um, and not all the managers.

Do this intentionally sometimes, if they just feel threatened, they feel like they have to assert their dominance in the room, which is very unhealthy behavior, but that's another sign that your boss is threatened by you. The fourth sign that your boss is threatened by you. labeled as difficult now for a while, this label used to be used only in a non-positive way, in a negative way, towards female employees when they were considered not part of the team, they were called difficult now in 2021 or even beyond much Many Really bad managers will use the word difficult to describe any employee they really don't want to work with or have a personal vendetta against by labeling them difficult.

Typically, that means that your supervisor sees the work you are doing as opposite or different from their vision and what they want to achieve now. What you are doing may make more sense. But your supervisor says. that this is how I want things to be done, therefore this is the only way things should be done, if you deviate from that and start doing something that is more profitable, more innovative, more strategic, your boss will try to win you back and you will be labeled as difficult. because you are not complying with their old way of doing things now, if that becomes a dynamic that is not healthy, your boss will feel threatened by you, you will start to notice that they associate you with being difficult, whether you are in meetings of equipment.

If you are receiving reports for executives, people will start to see you as a non-team player, don't take it personally, it's just a sign that your boss is threatened by you. The Fifth Sign Your Boss Is Threatened By If formal action has been taken against you, whether it's a performance improvement plan, a skipped promotion, or a skipped pay raise, that could be a sign your boss is threatened. for you if you have realized that you are back to being a rock star at a high level. An artist who gets raises every year or a cost of living increase every year, you realize you're actually performing better and then all of a sudden you end up getting nothing or you get some sort of performance improvement plan. performance or something like that. almost like the polar opposite of a high performer, probably a sign that your boss is intimidated by you, what that means is that your boss is trying to groom you into being stuck in this loophole of constant improvement, improvement constant, constant improvement and what What they will do is that every time you are in these improvement cycles, they will move the mark a little further so that you are always the person who strives to be average instead of playing to your strengths.

We're going to take advantage of what you're good at, and typically these performance improvement plans happen when an employer takes you away from projects that you're really good at and moves you to projects that don't really mean anything, projects that don't really mean anything. They mean nothing. Don't align yourself with your strengths on projects that are truly outside your area of ​​expertise and then get flagged again for not being good at your job. What do we do if our boss is threatened by us? The first thing you need to do is figure out why you don't need to go too deep into their psychology, the reasons why they might hate you, but it could be one or two incidences where you might have called them out in a meeting.
