"OUR INSTANT REACTION TO CHELSEA'S 1-0 WIN VS BARNSLEY

Hello, welcome back to the Chelsea debate. We just watched Chelsea beat Bonzi one-nil in the fifth round of the Fa Cup. I'm Don Toner, as always, Josh Langford with me, Josh, that wasn't the best of games, um, but it was a win. It was watching your final anyway because I didn't enjoy it but I'm happy with the win. Yeah, no, I think I'm pleased with the win, but it was painful to be fair. You know, particularly in the first half, it was you. I know it was just poor, wasn't it? We didn't really show up, um, but yeah, sometimes I think we just have to take the positive, which is the job done and that we're in the quarterfinals, so I'm trying to do that.

Trying to think positive, do you know what he did? He made 10 changes and he is right to do so. We have to look at some of the other players, but people didn't take any chances, but let's start with the positive, zero and it's tammy. Abraham, now that's someone who divides opinions, but he got the goal in the end and also cleared the goal line, so what did you think of Tammy tonight? I think he made a change to be fair, as you know, as you say, obviously. I got the biggest goal, uh, and then with the goal line, Clinton followed through quite a bit throughout the game, yeah, so he made a nice change, but it just wasn't a classic performance, right?

You know, I don't think Tommy is ever going to be one of those classy looking players. He worked hard tonight and that might go unnoticed, but he's a little clumsy in what he does, but he got the goals. and easy goals, good play, right? And it was Rhys James who scored the goal. It was a good goal, wasn't it? Yeah, no, I mean, I love goals like that, I really do, he's like a proper striker, you know, old school. goal with an effective goal just to touch on, rhys james did it with a 30 yard run uh and then yes no it was a beautiful and well taken goal yes it was it's hard to take isn't it ex ?, in which we all enter.

That game I was expecting three or four goals so Tammy Tammy did well, took her goal well and uh shout out to Rhys James for the assist, yeah there was talk about him being on the offside side, seen a lot of angles I think which was on the side. although I thought it was a secondary thing and I also want to say that it was good to just trust the referee and the linesman again without all the var drama. I really enjoyed it, it was probably the most fun thing in the game. Well you say that but Tammy should have gotten a penalty first, that was another thing he was involved in because from what I saw it was a foul.

They fouled him in the area. He didn't take any of the ball, he took the man var. I would have overruled that, but at the end of the day, a decent night for Tammy, I don't think he's going to start the next major league game, but it's definitely, you know, they told him to call, look, I'm here and you know. that I'm willing to fight for a spot, we mentioned James briefly, he came on in the second half, we actually changed the formation and then, uh, Christianson came off the knee and Rudiger came on and then Alonso came off Reese James on that right back .

The position played well didn't it, he was only in the middle, but he looked decent, yeah, no, he came in, he did what he had to do, I think we looked better, you know, coming back to four, so now I thought it was brilliant. to be fair so he was one of the best players, obviously you have to mention Hudson or Dory too, yeah I thought he had a great second half, every time he looked dangerous going forward he was usually involved which was Well. To see him, and you know, I hope we see him back in the starting XI for the game against Newcastle.

I think we will. He definitely seems like one of those who has really thrived thanks to a new coach, so he was getting minutes. under frank, but he's definitely coming into his own and yeah, it seemed like you were saying if anything was going to happen it was through him most of the time. um a little shower too, billy gilmore, he didn't actually play amazing, he actually played the pass. in the build up to the first goal he came in he didn't do much wrong it wasn't exactly the same didn't he have cop stitch and georginio actually said he had gilmore and canton i don't know if you know a month?

A while ago he would have been saying look, I'd start with Georgina and cover the search in the next game, but it wasn't exactly the same, but Gilmore, I'm glad he had nine minutes, he played a trip, right? Yes, no, he was. It's good to see him get 90 minutes. I think he's potentially a bit of a victim. You know, it's the first time he's really played under suture, so I think he needs another run. You know, we were talking about some. Weeks ago, weren't we about Hudson and The Door needing everyone and now he's giving it back looking dangerous and in good shape?

I think we need to see the same from Gilmore. The problem is that we are obviously winning with Georginio and Kovacic in the middle, yes. So it's difficult, right? You know it's hard to say, oh yeah, change your winning team, so, but no, it was good to see the 90 minutes and I hope to start to improve, you know, during the last 20 minutes of games and start to build. a bit of shape and has more complaints, yes, we are fine, we have to talk about the negative, although obviously on this channel we want to talk about the positive and I think we have done it there, but there were some. the negatives weren't there and the two main suspects I don't know if they saw it the same as me, but hakim zh and christian public yes, poor thing, I was also devastated because well, on our social networks and obviously in these videos we.

I think we've all been patient, but now we're getting to the point in particular with the fact that he's obviously played. In England for longer they need to start stepping up and delivering, yes that's a good point in terms of punishment but we saw what he could do after the block before his injury, we saw what he can do it didn't happen to him tonight and me. I think it's fair to call him that, but Hakeem is still for me, man, he was so bad just a couple of corners, absolutely terrible when you pay for that and the technique he has, you shouldn't hit the first man. like that and he looked dejected, he was subbed in late, his shoulders were slumped, I think he knows he blew a great opportunity tonight, yes it was against the championship team, but he didn't really take advantage of the big salute to be fair.

Barnsley, so I didn't do that, I apologize for that because they played well, they pressed so high, they were organized and they were a decent team, right? And maybe they are unlucky, they will see it from their point of view. It was because they played well, yes, no, I think in the first moments of the game they were the better team, right? They had opportunities, huh, and they seemed like a good team, right? You know they've been kind of yo-yo over the last few years, but they seem to be developing the championship's mid-table, so I mean, for them, it's a positive, isn't it?

You know they have kept Chelsea well under control in the game. Certainly as Chelsea fans we expected not to have a walk, but to be very comfortable, certainly, so let's not shout at them, yeah. He will be fresh because he has played a lot of football this season so I think the rest will be considered good and hopefully next time he will tear Newcastle to shreds, I hope so because Werner did it too so he is one of those, yeah . We had lost that tonight, you'd have seven, yeah, but it worked, yeah, it was a quick check.
