This is where I drive. I have five exterior cameras, so it's very easy to move around and drive back if I parallel park it. It is generally a dead zone. a bus and I hate that, so this whole cabinet is where I can put my million pairs of shoes, don't judge how messy it is and it just closes, you don't know it's there and then upstairs I have a record player. which yes, I actually use.

It's usually full of food, but I'm at school Palooza right now, so I've been feeding people. This is just a really big pantry space and it also continues down here, so usually people only have one refrigerator unit. short

bus, so it's actually five feet deep. I have the shower head that rotates, it is extremely comfortable. I have the Nature's Head composting toilet that I hook up directly to my gray tanks. This has been great and the fact that I tour, people always ask me good questions.
Your toilet gets wet, does this whole area get wet and isn't it? So the rain shower works wonderfully and then people are always surprised by this, they think it's just a statement piece. This is actually my closet. I have an extreme amount of closet space. it goes all the way here it goes all the way to this accent piece and I really didn't have to compromise much in my wardrobe so I love that feature this stained glass window was a vintage find that I thought was incredibly

beautiful

so it was important to me to incorporate it into the construction and I thought it would be the perfect place to connect the bathroom to this side of the bus just to share a light, so I control all my solar with this, this is my water heater. changing the temperature of how hot I want my shower every time I get in it, this is controlling my diesel heater and then this is amazing.
I can see how much fresh water I have, how much gray water I have, so that there is no one to take a shower anymore uh I live very well here guys, okay, so it's great, so there's no guessing. I have complete control of my consumption which is a really empowering thing, very conscious of it, this is one of my favorite features on the bus, the mini split that I can. Use it to heat the place and I can use it for air conditioning. I usually use it for air conditioning since I have my diesel heater, which is more efficient in the winter because my panels are usually covered in snow, but it works great.
I can use it. It's completely off the grid, people even just a couple of years ago thought running an air conditioner on solar power was impossible. I do this all the time, so now we can talk about some of my favorite aspects of the bus, including this long open shelf there. There are many reasons why I did this, the first is that it actually creates a very strong line along the length of the bus, which gives it a larger visual feeling, which is important because it is a very small space and then also I can keep the things that contribute this. space that comes to life like real plants books that mean a lot to me different souvenirs from the road artwork dried flowers from some of my favorite places brings a lot of life and character to the space, which is extremely important because it's a small space and I spend a lot of time Here, one of my favorite design options is this cedar roof.
I finished it with all natural wax just to make it feel very organic and bring nature inside and I think the roof really ties the whole space to the road. It's been my home for over three years my only constants are the rubber on the pavement and a fire that won't go out inside my chest some people think that by leaving my old life behind to take the open road I'm avoiding responsibility or hard work and That couldn't be further from the truth. The funny thing about running away and leaving it all behind is the sure way to deal with it.
All the skeletons in your closet. The fears in your mind. The light in your eyes. The purpose in your heart. When all the material things are gone. They fade away and it's just you and the open road, you see life differently, it becomes crystal clear. The important thing is that the best analogy I can give is that of a flower, sunflowers thrive in certain soils and others, as their seeds fly with the wind. give yourself a Hail Mary to life and have some opportunity to make the life and experiences I come from flourish. He had no chance on that ground.
I was never going to blossom, I was never going to be able to present myself to the world the way I wanted to, so I took a drink of Hail Mary and threw myself into the really strange wind.
