Mar 11, 2024
moving on to the analysis please welcome everyone today we are talking about Westworld but with a little twist this will be the last video before the end of

season

4 so I wanted to open up the dialogue and present more comments and questions that you guys the community wanted it addressed, this will certainly contain my final

thoughts

and

theories

before we have to wait another x years before this amazing show returns, but yes the focus will definitely be on all of you before we start thinking too much before end. an HBO show about robots. I wanted to quickly ask you to hit the subscribe button.

We're trying to hit a big milestone here with 50,000 subscribers before the end of the Westworld

season

and we're so close we have days to do it. I think we can do it, we are so close that we can do this, please, much love to everyone who brought me here, and to return the favor, this video is definitely for you. I think he's been here since season one or season two. They think the last shot of Westworld will be when Dolores will wake up and realize it was all a dream and then she will paint. Unfortunately I had to ban them for this comment so let's move on to the next one okay be objective this would be quite a twist and while I don't think they'd be so bold as to take us back to the beginning which means that as if You didn't know anything, nothing happened, um, I definitely think there is an observable cycle of suffering that could be used in a similar way now that humans are in the same position as the hosts if the next iteration comes and the humans are ever free of a violent way instead of a way that makes everyone realize, hey, maybe we should be nice to each other we could see Delores once again painting that picture in the park enslaved by humanity.

More Interesting Facts About,

westworld season 4 pre finale thoughts theories...

I think Frankie represents the next generation that will have to break this cycle and we already know that she is not a big fan of the hosts of hers. Her dialogue with Bernard shows that she considers her emotions somehow lesser than her own, and her being convinced all her life that a host who stole her father from her certainly caused some damage. However, I think there is a bigger picture at play here. I think they've been building this maybe not-so-subtle love story between Caleb and Maeve right under our noses. I rewatched the season last night considering Maeve and Kayla were a couple during the seven year gap and it's pretty obvious that's what the safe runners are building.
westworld season 4 pre finale thoughts theories
Towards every line of dialogue it feels like two exes beating around the bush about their unresolved trauma and feelings for each other, Caleb in a terrible state, even flat out demanding to know why she left him because that's what's on his mind, no. you know him bleeding. There are moments of inside jokes and drink orders and even jealousy when another host offers to dress Caleb and I mean this look, I mean, come on, it seems to me like they're trying to show us the first genuine human relationship with a host, right? You know? There is a real, true love between these two and I believe this will develop into something more.
westworld season 4 pre finale thoughts theories
Frankie doesn't have a mother. Maeve's daughter is locked in an ivory tower. I think the importance of all that is that she will be exposed to the same thing. real love that can exist in hosts that we know maeve is capable of thanks to her daughter and maybe this love will be the point where this cycle ends and maybe the lorises will never have to wake up in a park again because Instead of showing humans more hate, they showed them love and I think that is the most beautiful message they could share and it also addresses the generational trauma that I think they are highlighting in a very, very poetic way.
The next question comes from Eric Reese. You mentioned simulation within a simulation video earlier and I'd love for you to go into more depth on that, so this is kind of an open theory that can basically be described because we know Rehoboam, the forge, the cradle, and potentially whatever. The technology Hale used to create the hosts exists. Any number of things we're seeing could also be simulated because of how the hosts perceive the world. This could all be Bernard remembering how this was happening a million years in the future telling the human host about it. kids about the glory days um so that's a pretty broad overview of what could happen in season three.
This was discussed with Rehoboam with the idea that perhaps Delores had already used the system to understand what she had to do to win while we thought we were seeing the stimulated future that Sorak and Rehoboam had planned. In reality, it was another sim working in favor of our protagonists. Now I think that somehow this could still happen. um, of course, yes. This program has created such a vast world. There's a chance that if Ford comes back during the

finale

and reveals that he was actually pulling the strings somehow, he could come back and gather all the evidence that could show exactly how that was possible.
It is one of the best. and the worst thing about theorycrafting for this show, I think after the last episode we saw a sublime working with a door that supposedly worked inside the sublime and the implications of that are huge and you could say, well, yeah, but what? what's up with the black bars and that's it? Completely fair point though, with Maeve it was only revealed to the audience that she was in a simulation after Maeve realized, so maybe the black bars are when the hosts specifically realize they're inside. of a simulation and this could be used.
Again, establishing this pattern directly and not betraying the kind of soft rules they have for how this works is another matter entirely as to whether the audience would enjoy it, but I think it's possible. I also think the black bars happen during this transition. It was a bright red flag for me that showed, however subtly, that this story that we now perceive as reality could in fact be a simulation done by Bernard because he is again in the transition period, after all, how does it come to pass? The realization that he is in a simulation when he dies and starts over is that he is simply living out the Groundhog Day plot, how the mind actually works within the sublime, is still largely unexplored at this point, it is closer to a slideshow where you can see what's going on instead of a world where you feel your existence is genuine for Bernard's purpose.
This wouldn't matter, but for the other hosts, would they really want this omniscient existence instead of one where they felt like you knew more about themselves even after waking up? Wouldn't you want your world to do it? Feel genuine rather than a manifestation you created. I would love it if this whole season was a Bernard simulation and ended with this one path that works and at the last minute he wakes up and Stubbs says he brought you a souvenir snow globe. sublime, this would allow them to do this massive reveal without it feeling bad to the audience because then we know everything that happens and we understand what Bernard's time in the sublime actually felt like instead of just what happened and this would have enormous weight and the fifth season I just need to start after this great journey that we saw unfold, the coincidence of it being simulated or in reality wouldn't really matter because, boom, we learned that it was simulated at the same time we learned that it is happening in reality and this history. continues in reality and from the perspective of the person who just went through this entire mind-blowing, I mean absolutely mind-blowing season at first, I was a little hesitant about this theory, but I think there's definitely a way they could accomplish all of that.
We've been watching a simulation without me feeling bad, so yeah, those are my

thoughts

on the simulation within a simulation. I think it's possible, but wow, would I be bold while we're on the topic of this 23 year gap where stubbs does nothing but watch a man sleep some things feel weird about this um first at the end of the season three we are given the implication that stubbs was depending on bernard like he couldn't fix himself and was probably going to um you Meanwhile I know he rots, after reviewing the exact scene they use the word literally to literally mean that will be left to rot without Bernard's intervention, but this clearly doesn't happen and, implication aside, we also get this line of fragments. one who told me not to disturb anything, this never actually happened and if I could I would replay the whole scene for you, but I just watched it again to confirm that they arrived at the hotel, they freeze this soon to be dead man, they talk about what pains he is dead.
The end of the world, the sublime, the vague description of this plan and, finally, Bernard escapes to earth before time and Stubbs is curious about what he is seeing. I think I pointed this out in my breakdown of episode 1 of the season, but I just want to highlight this. not only did it not happen, this could never have happened, the entire hotel interaction happens on screen, so my point is that there is room for a big reveal related to this timeline, uh, maybe Hale found them by scanning the key without Bernard being affected or replaced the heels with a host.
You know they themselves explain exactly how they could have been chunks, who was the traitor in the only timeline Bernard observed. It would be a pretty interesting twist, but let's move on. The next question comes from Henry Lim, who has been subscribed for about three weeks. welcome to the community, Henry asks why some have earrings in their left ear and others don't, so this was a question I've seen a few times on Twitter, all my comments, and on Reddit it never caught my attention. It's strange, but I wanted to check it out just to confirm. I think they were the ones showing off a super cool future bluetooth accessory, you know what it could look like.
I compared him to everyone else and the only other person I actually saw who had one was his boss at first I thought maybe it could be them showing us that they are all connected to Christina um and my thought is still currently after episode seven that she has some kind of system to control humanity and maybe each of the characters represents part of her consciousness keeps her under control, um or something that she has to fight against, if that were the case, have everyone use this bluetooth , uh, that would be a very interesting little clue, but Teddy doesn't wear one and Maya responds. the cell phone putting it to his ear so I think it could be a really cool costume design or what bluetooth would look like in the future and I would definitely use this bluetooth next.
We have Master Circu, who has been a subscriber since the second season, thank you for being here friend, would you like to know what theory you like the most in the comments section and my thoughts. I really don't know if I'm doing this right. I did my best. I tried checking the comments to see which one. The

theories

really stood out to me, this one came to mind about whether two presenters could have a baby. This maybe hasn't been discussed directly, but maybe implicitly since the first season, I mean, I've seen conversations since the first season about exactly this, um, I think the ways they could create offspring goes far beyond the ways that we could understand digitally or at one point I even imagined that they could show a scene where Hale was in the simulation.
You know, they alluded to having hundreds of interviews. with um similar to how Dolores and Bernard were in the crib um to really show how much she cared about her children, quote, but I guess that's not really necessary, although I think it would add more depth to hail as a character and really what she has gone through creating these beings if you are curious to know if a host could produce sperm and eggs. I don't see why not see how they are creating flies that turn people into hosts. It's entirely possible, for sure, the only real problem I have.
What I can think of is how the DNA sequence would be created, um, but I mean, yeah, why not? It's entirely possible, uh, it wouldn't have a control unit, but hey, I mean, maybe that's how humans were created in the first place, evolution be damned. maybe we're just these the full cycle of the old gods, I mean there's room there um also in this top comment line of thought. I want to highlight every comment that pointed out that Christina was derived from the name Christ aka Jesus aka. jesus christ savior of man in some published novels this was always very funny to me because my name is chris and i have been aware of the origin of my name for many years.
I think his name was chosen for a reason, but I guess. if I were to acknowledge that I would have to acknowledge my own omen in life and the idea of that fourth wall breaking self-reflection is not something I'm ready for.baptism is definitely on par with the name and what they We are trying to do and, as derived from the praise of Jesus, will be next. We have Madnar er mod, someone who has been incredibly active in the comments section this season, also subscribed on Patreon and subscribed a few years ago after finding my video to turn up the volume. thank you for being here thank you for your support ask if you feel that these safe runners took the criticism of the third season too seriously because they went back to the time jumps and confusing things that we liked from previous seasons, to that I say no Ni I don't even know if the showrunners know I exist or if any comments have reached their periphery about our opinion of this show.
I would love nothing more than to be a janitor at the HBO black site they are on. working on the show and just walking around his office, I pick up the trash and throw some away, and then I go about my day of cleaning, um, jokes aside, I really don't know, I guess I don't think they should care, I wouldn't love anything more for them to do what they feel they have to do to tell the story they want to tell and I guess what I want is complete control for the artists to tell their story and tell the story that makes them happiest at the end of the day and I hope that Run that last season and we have the complete story that they wanted to tell from the beginning and this was a decade of their life that they dedicated to.
We and will always love you for that right. I think that's art, that's beauty. Next we have Fromagio, who is also a new subscriber and asks why the hell Bernard opened the door, so I'm not sure, but it certainly relates. to your plan to save a small part of the world that you intend to save and that certainly exists in the form of a pearl, someone will be uploaded or downloaded from this thing using the pearl reader already built into this control site which is also this platform. Shaped like a hexagon, which shape is very important this season.
I still don't know exactly why last season it was triangles. This season it's hexagons. What is the objectively best way? The best way. Next is me, Mickey, asking about the music at the beginning of each breakdown. That's from the royalty-free music library here on YouTube and I'll attach a link to the description so everyone can hear that. I heard it when I was preparing how I wanted the format of my content to exist this year. And I knew right away that I could mix it with a little Bernard speaking part to make it my own and it has the vibe I want, so I'm really glad you like it.
The following comes from me, a subscriber for over a decade, a terrible friend, um, just wanted to point out this interaction one more time after my last heels replay and wondering if the key to saving the world was in this parking lot , he answers. no she is at the time, I just wanted to say hey this is where the plan gets really good let's do it but now with everything that's happened and my thoughts from earlier about the next generation being really what What this fight is about, I think Frankie is the key. to preserve that little thing that he and maeve hope to preserve, to make this interaction mean so much more than it did and I think when we look back we're going to say oh wow, you know that was right in front of us this whole time, come on.
Privo asks on Twitter about a theory they found on Reddit. Now I am completely. Don't know. I'll be honest. This stunned me at first and after a while I started to have doubts. It may be nothing or I may be able to prove it. that this is the best show ever, but it uses short, really spoilery footage taken from the film set, sorry, no, it's not really spoiler, it's like I don't want to say anything, uh, if you don't. I want this uh if you don't want to know anything that happens outside the scope of the program jump to the time it appears on the screen I hope I edit it correctly the theory points out this video of Dolores walking in his classic blue dress with the wet end, a big brain .
Bernard discovered that in the second season, when Dolores was recreating Bernard, the story of his dress was wet. I don't really remember if we discussed that here, but I do remember seeing this and not really. knowing how it was connected to something in footage that hasn't been released yet, last chance for spoilers here, um, the train of her dress is wet in a very similar way, hinting that some absolutely wild things could still be happening in the second season, it could be evidence of simulation theory, it could be, you know, evidence that this was all you know, someone really planned this and it's still in the park.
It would be absolutely crazy to see the meaning of this, but if I'm honest, I'm not exactly sure if this means anything, but yeah, I like a good theory, um, the street is wet, it's very possible that this is a common thing among who wear dresses, so I think that's where I'm going to end this. uh I want to thank you for pointing out this crazy thought and all props to indy 1984 for noticing this connection, even if it doesn't mean anything, this is great attention to detail and I love staying on the Reddit platform for the last time.
I kinda want to thank you for deleting my account 04 for your post promoting me on the

westworld

subreddit, as well as everyone who commented on that post, no one sent me this. I was scrolling through reddit and I saw my name and I cried reading all the love that was coming my way, it was incredibly validating and it makes me feel like I'm really doing something special here and I guess I just want you to know how much that meant to me, um , No. A lot of people take time out of their day to promote other people on the Internet and you did it, and I think you deserve all the praise for that kindness you asked me about Rehoboam and my editing process.
As far as editing goes, I feel like I could probably pull it off. a full video on that process and maybe i should make it for patreon. Would this be fun or informative for all of you? I assure you, the stakes are high and I think that translates into the finished product, but hey, I mean, when it comes time to watch a new video, that process can seem like a mountain and I constantly have to remind myself to just I'm taking the next step in front of me and not feeling overwhelmed by the entire journey. Let me know if that's something you'd like to see about Rehoboam, I think it's pretty likely there's still more to the strategy engine story, but we learned after the events of season three that Maeve and Caleb had to track down the sites.
Rehoboam's remote, which was a little overlooked, but what's interesting is that the big reveal at the end was that Rehoboam was connected to Sorak actively giving him orders so that he had a very real influence in the world and could have done what Sorak himself Rehoboam could have done. countless things to maintain power, but let's assume he doesn't because maybe he doesn't for the sake of this story, but that last minute reveal in the

finale

showed that Rehoboam was capable of thinking about simulating the variables of his environment, what would have been a world of data and computing that built on Sarah's original goals and then literally started telling Sorak what to do and the move you know, essentially making Rehoboam, you know, Sorak exist outside of your own physicality. physical restrictions um, it's probably not as genuine as the hosts' digital minds, but I wonder if Christina in her current system form isn't somehow related to Rehoboam, maybe even inspired by whatever it is, she's inspired by the strategy engine. and hail needed a host mind to control it so he used his own which we know he does and that's why the stance was written to write bad stories for humanity because that's basically what Rehoboam was used for.
I'm not sure of my exact thoughts. But we do know what pain interface with Rehoboam had for the elimination process. There is some connection here. I think also the fact that we never saw Sorak die and the fact that the opening intro is very much Rehoboam's balloon or I mean, maybe it's not. It could be the eye of a fly, true, but it could be. I think it's entirely possible that somehow this strategy engine exists or that a variation of a strategy engine exists and perhaps we're seeing the inner workings in the form of Christina's perspective.
Here are some quick final thoughts that the system represented when Charlie grabbed the maze and ran with it metaphorically. This could be pointing to the system of the sublime itself having some capacity for consciousness, since it conceptually took the labyrinth and ran with the idea like that. had when all the other hosts had woken up and then when Christina is talking to the built-in jerk he asks her about the game she's working on and she says the game isn't out yet, it might not mean anything but It could also be a way of The showrunners are trying to show that their plot relates to the planning phase of something larger and not something being used.
Might be a good pun after the fact. If that's true, then we get this line from Hale about cutting off humanity's claws. because they were bad little billies and then the plot of him evolves into his next form for his species, he literally has no legs or arms. Also, people pointed out that this robot could simply be the transportation system for the host minds and I agree with that. I don't think they would be walking and talking like that. I think this is probably a sublime-like mesh network virtual Eden, but honestly, if that were true, why not just put the pearls in an array of servers to protect them? the very real physics that still exists in this world I really think this is the form she wanted them to take based on her moment of reflection with this body it's like idolizing it um like I'm conscious this is what I exist As I thought, lastly , I want to thank everyone who has been theorycrafting and contributing to the discussion in the comments and on Twitter.
I have so many comments, more comments this season than ever and I wish I could highlight them all. I just know it. We're going to hit 50,000 subscribers before the end of the Westworld season and so I just want to have a few honorable mentions. Um Carliogene, your comments are always very thoughtful and you spend time on each one of them.
