lamp

s, especially

lamps

hades, although sometimes they are not immediately noticeable because they hang from the ceiling, they have a great impact on the interior and can make any room more welcoming and elegant, so I think it is always worth giving them a look. little more attention. this piece of home decor, okay let's talk, let's go to the first project, my first second hand

lamps

hade, I decided to cover it with some small gems, I glue a row of them at the beginning keeping the same distance between each one, the second row of gems I glue them down and in between the ones in the first row, I make sure they are glued correctly to the surface, if the glue is not strong enough you can always use an extra drop of how to glue once the whole screen is completely covered with gems with the desired design, I take it. outside and give it a few coats of spray paint.

I'm going to use bright white paint which gives this display a more modern look. I take a layer of cotton macrame and measure the circuit at the bottom of the lamp. The lamp is pretty as it is, but I decided to add some more details. I cut a piece of coat 20 inches long and attached them to my longest piece creating larkshead knots. I place the knots next to each other with a space of about two centimeters between each one. First I take the loose ones. cover and create a square knot. I don't lift it all the way up, I do it a few inches lower once the first row is finished.

I create another row of square knots, this time I'm using two loose scores of adjacent knots all together. I have created three rows and will now attach them to the bottom of my screen with hot glue to finish this design. I need to create another square knot that will connect two ends of my web. I cut the excess rope to the same length and My new lampshade is ready. It was a quick way to refresh the old look and not the prettiest color on the screen. This is a super quick Ikea hack to create my new kitchen lampshades.

I'll be using two of these Ikea candle lanterns they are in. Great size, color and material they are made of. I removed all the tags and the handle so I could hang it upside down. I have to change the order of placing these two parts together to create a screen from this flashlight. Of course I'll do it. First I need a hole in the top where I can place my lighting fixture. First I need to find the exact midpoint of this part, as this will have a big impact on how straight this screen will hang to drill the hole in this type of material that I will need.

Special holes very suitable for metal To measure the size of the hole you need to create, take the unscrewed part of your lighting fixture and compare it to the end of the drill. I attached the end to my drill and started drilling the hole if it has good quality holes. It should take you just a few seconds to create a nice hole. Be careful with this material and all the cut edges are very sharp. I put in the other part of the lantern package and my new kitchen lamp shade is ready. I like twists like this when you completely change.
The purpose of the article and to make it so unique for my next project. I will change the look of the shade that goes with the basic black table lamp from Ikea. I start by removing the old fabric and cleaning it. This screen consists of two parts for the first. part, I cut some macrame wrap pieces, each one is 70 centimeters long, I fold it in half and attach it to the top ring creating a large knot. This design is very easy and you don't even need to mark according to my skills. I take one. loose coat at that moment and wrap it around the bottom ring.
I always wrap it the same way so the design is nice and neat. The first section is ready. Now I'm going to repeat this process for the largest section I've decided on. To tie one end of the wire to the metal part and keep it on the spool, I wrap it around this section. I stop at each metal part and wrap the wrap around it when the hole becomes too small for the spool. I have cut some. meters of the cable and continue wrapping it this way once I reach the end. I tied the end of the cape to the metal wire.
I take loose layers from the top section and run them through the middle section, then rub each individual layer around the wire. To fill the drinks, I cut short pieces of coat and do not touch them at the bottom with large knots, I untwist all the wires and trim them to the same length. A great idea to change the look of the basic lamp is to add some texture. and to do it I will use air dry clay. I take a large piece of this clay and begin to roll it out to a thickness of approximately 75 millimeters.
I move the flat piece over the lamp. I want to cover the entire surface of the lamp leaving only the screw part intact, I cut off the excess clay and press the rest so that it adheres well to the surface of the lamp without air bubbles. For the missing part, I take another piece of clay and simply add it to the lamp. The clay is very soft, so it blends. two pieces together is quite easy. I make a small rubber band for the wire and straighten the bottom. The surface doesn't have to be perfect and smooth, since I'm going to create the dust on it anyway to crinkle a sort of honeycomb pattern.
I will be using a plastic icon, it can be anything with a small surrounding that will help you do the dance. This is the inspiration for my new lamp. It's actually a big part of anthropology that goes diagonally downward. I create dance with my income. I line up to the end. down and the next one I start doing a new dance between two previous ones I repeat the process covering the entire surface of the lamp once it is completely covered I leave it aside until it dries completely since it was a fairly thick layer of clay, it took about After two days to dry the air dry white clay dries to an off-white color tomorrow, so I'm going to spray paint it.
I think spray paint will be a much better choice for this project since using the brush can take longer one time. the white paint is dry, I take a foam roller and gold paint, when I don't press the roller too hard it just covers the outside edges and that is the effect I am going to do in this project and the next screen I will create from scratch. two dairy rings of the same size and blue, mine are 25 centimeters in diameter. I also have a plastic part from an old lampshade that will allow me to hang this shade from the ceiling later.
I start by attaching this little circle to my embrioderi hook to do this. When using barbecue skewers, I cut off the ends and then glue the rest together with the superglue. I will glue 3 sticks keeping the same distance between each one. I take the ring and place it on top of the sticks. I make sure the small circle is exactly in the middle and then mark the outside edge of the hoop with pliers. I cut this part out once everything fits perfectly. I can paste everything. It is important to glue it correctly and the construction is strong as it will hold the full weight of the screen for the outside of the screen.
I will use all second hand table mats. You can often find this type of mind in

thrift

stores. I always grab them because they are great for so many different projects and ideas. The idea is to wrap. The mat around the hoops I start with the top one and using hot glue I glue a small part of the mat at a time, cut off the excess mud and place the other hoop inside to add more boho wipe. I made the bangs. at the bottom of the screen using notes from Clark Heads I attached small pieces of coat to a long one once the entire length is covered I plan the wires, trim them to the same length and glue them to the bottom of my screen with my next screen diverted.
I gave it a good vacuum and cleaned it before moving on to the renovation, since the condition of the fabric is not the best. I decided to paint it. I'm using acrylic paint and I apply it with the sponge, which doesn't leave as many lines. Like the brush does, I only paint the outside of the lampshade once the paint is dry. I can start the next step, which is adding raffia instead of wrapping the raffia. I want to create some kind of wavy effect. I start by wrapping. A single piece of raffia horizontally around the lampshade.
I only put a small amount of glue in three different places, but each row will have the glues placed in the same straight line. I create one row at a time covering the lamp shade all the way. The horizontal lines are made. Now it's time to make the vertical ones, this time the process is more difficult since I have to shake each piece of raffia. I start from the top and go up and down and up and under the next row and then using a small dot of glue I glue. A raffia on the inside of the screen to make this process easier and a little faster.
I put raffia through this plastic needle with a big eye. I continue the process until the entire surface of the screen is covered. The next part of this lamp is the lamp base. I'm going to cover everything with the putty and to make it adhere better to the shiny surface I'll stick it with adhesive tape. I don't have to cover the entire surface but I try to stick it in as many places as I can. Can I mix my filler with a small amount of water so it is easy to apply with a puffy knife? I start applying the filler to the base of the lamp.
All I want to do is give this lamp a more organic look and not a perfect texture to make it look more like old verse or something. I do a pretty thin layer just to cover the tape. I also use my fingers and a sponge to add different textures. Once it's dry, I put my new screen on it and that's it. Brand new boho inspired lamp. This one is quite unique. shape of the lampshade, if you find exactly the same one, that's a plus, but you can always create this project by connecting two separate lampshades of the same size.
I start by removing the old fabric and giving it a good cleaning. I take a layer of 2 millimeter bar macrame and start my design by tying one of its ends to the metal part because the reel with the cable is too big to pass through the gaps in my screen I have to cut a few meters and work like this I start my design with the top of the lampshade overall, the design is very easy and repetitive, all I do is wrap my wrap around the top and middle wire. I pull on the cable each time, making sure it is tight.
Once it is about a centimeter away from the metal part, I cut the macrame wrap. I put on a duty and tie it to the macrame wrap, then continue the design in the same way. I always count how many times I have already wrapped the duty so that each part looks exactly the same. I cut this thread over and over again. add the macrame layer, this project is inspired by the bonbon lampshade, which is very expensive, you can choose as many colors as you want and even try different patterns, the top section is ready and now I am going to repeat the process with the bottom section . every time I wrap it around the middle part of the screen I have to put a new layer between two previous ones, the middle section should form an alternating sequence of strings from the top and bottom section once I got to the end I tied the end of the thread on the metal part I cut off any excess layer and spread all the wires evenly.
Let me know in the comments section which lamp or shade was your favorite. I really like working on secondhand items, even if sometimes I just use the frame and remember too.
