Sennheiser Momentum 4 Vs AirPods Max Vs Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2

Mar 18, 2024
So for the past few years the Sennheiser Momentum 3 have been my favorite sounding ANC headphones and now we have another predecessor, the Momentum Four, which now have some major improvements, although I'm not the biggest fan of the Airpod Max I own. I admit that they sound very good and then there are the biological px7s2 and these also sound very good, so if you are looking for a pair of ANC headphones and if sound is very important to you, let's see which of these headphones is the right one. for you regarding the price of the airpod max or the most expensive headphones here they sell for 550 and if you want a proper carrying case or if you want to use them with a wired connection it will cost you more and keep in mind that these are the headphones older ones here came out in the fall of 2020.

Then there are the Bowers and Wilkins px7s2 that recently came out and sell for $400 and finally there are the recently released Momentum 4S which retail for $350 now overall, the px7s2 are my However, I prefer headphones here, if you want to purchase any of these headphones, they will be linked below or you can hit the YouTube buy button and if you want to continue supporting the channel, check out the product shelf I created at continuation. some shirts and hoodies that look and feel great and if you've been watching me for a while you know I can be very particular so I'll only put my name on something I'm really proud of.

More Interesting Facts About,

sennheiser momentum 4 vs airpods max vs bowers wilkins px7 s2...

Now let's talk about this first. cases because there is a lot more going on here than you would expect, now both the Forza boost and the px7s2s come bundled with a hard case which is nice, whereas with the airpod max not so much, with the airpod max you're going to be You're constantly worried about crushing your headphones if they're in your backpack, whereas with these other two cases they'll be perfectly safe. Now both the Momentum 4S and the px7s2 come bundled with fairly large cases. Traveling with them is doable, but it's not as convenient as traveling with, say, the Bose qc45 or Sony 1000xm4, which have noticeably smaller cases;

However, with both the Boost Scores and AirPods Max, they will automatically turn on if you take them out of their case and automatically turn off when you put them in. Put them back in their case, but unlike the Airpod Max, the Momentum Four don't rely on their case to power them down. You can still turn these earbuds off by simply pressing and holding their multi-use button, but something I noticed with the Boost Force is that if you have their case upright or if their case is upside down, these earbuds can turn on and connect to your phone. , so until Sennheiser lets you disable this feature or fixes this issue, you're going to have to take into account how you store these headphones while they're in their case, but now let's talk about the headphones themselves in regards to the quality of the headphones. construction.
sennheiser momentum 4 vs airpods max vs bowers wilkins px7 s2
Unfortunately, the Momentum Four is not in the same league as these other two headphones, the Momentum Four. They have a mostly plastic body, use a very synthetic feel of the red on other ear pads, and have fairly stiff silicone padding under the headband, however, they do have a touch of fabric on the top of the headband, like the px7s2, whereas with these other two headphones, they both have a generous amount of exposed metal and the px7s2s use real leather on both the pads and headband, but also from a design standpoint, the pads on both the px7s2s and the airpod Max are easily removable and you can put them back on easily, while with Moment Force you can also remove the pads from them, but they are stuck on so don't remove them unless you have a couple of new pads ready to go, but overall the Impulse Four have solid build quality, but you won't get any of the more premium materials you'll find in the PX7S2S or Airpun Max.
Now, as far as fit goes, I'll have to say that the Forge o boost is the least. Here are comfortable headphones for several reasons. Now I will say that all of these headphones are approved for large heads because I can wear all of these headphones for long periods of time; However, all of these headphones have a firmer fit now with the Impulse 4S having the firmest. They fit here, while the airpod max are a bit looser and the px7s2 have the loosest fit here, however all of these headphones fit tighter than more conventional options, like say Sony 1000xm 5S or Bose nc700, but then There is the padding under your headband like me.
As I mentioned above, the Momentum 4S have padded silicone under the headband, but it's not the softest and I found that after wearing these headphones for say 40 minutes, they develop a pressure point. Now it's not a full hotspot but it can be uncomfortable whereas with the px7s2s this headband has more padding and has more surface area so pressure points are not a problem for this headband and finally there is the rpun max which has its canopy and this canopy does an amazing job of conforming to the shape of your head and pressure points are not a problem either, but then there is its weight.
The Airpod Max are the heaviest earbuds here, weighing in at 384 grams, which is well above average and you will never forget that you are wearing these earbuds, the px7. It has chosen to weigh 307 grams which is better but still above average and you will always notice these headphones on your head but then there are the Momentum Four which weigh 295 grams and with these you won't notice them. too much while sitting at your desk, but you will notice that they move when you walk with them on, but for comparison, the Bose NCS in hundreds weighs 264 grams, the xm4 weighs 254 grams, the xm5 weighs 250 grams and the Bose qc45s They weigh 234 grams, so yes, both the impulse 4S and the px7s2s or noticeably heavier than their more conventional options, but the airpod max or just in a different league, but there are finally the ear pads on these headphones now .
The ear pads on both the Momentum 4S and Airpod Max will have no problem fitting most average-sized ears; However, the ear pads on the px1s2 are noticeably roomier, so if you have larger or protruding ears, you may want to go with these, but there is also heat retention on these pads, the ear pads the four pulses heat up faster here because they have the most surface area that comes into contact with the skin, while if the pads on the px7s2 stay a little cooler for a little longer because they have less surface area that comes into contact with the skin, but finally there are the airpod max, now these pads are super breathable because they are fabric, however, this fabric is a resource and I have always found that they get really itchy after a while, so generally when try placing the px7s2, they are my favorite headphones here.
Yes, they have an older fit, but they are looser than these other two. The headband does not create a hotspot or pressure point. They are not very heavy and the ear pads are spacious, they stay cool and the real leather feels much better than the synthetic leather on the heavy boost 4S and the fabric on the airpun max, but now let's talk about the specs Techniques regarding battery life, this is something where the Impulse Force just crushes these other two headphones, now all Impulse Four have been announced with a 60 hour battery life and that's with active noise cancellation activated, while with the px7s2 they have an advertised lifespan of 30 hours with active noise cancellation activated.
However, with a vpx7s2s you can always use them with active noise cancellation disabled and extend battery life that way. Now you're not going to get close to 60 hours of playtime, but it's something because with the Force boost you can. I don't use these headphones with the ANC or MB mode completely off, but then there are the airpod mats that have an advertised battery life of 20 hours with their active noise isolation on. A 20-hour battery life is now feasible, but it's below average. but my biggest problem with the airpod max is the battery drain, even if you were to keep these earbuds in their case the battery life will drain pretty quickly while battery drain is not an issue with any of these other earbuds , but now Talk about Bluetooth connectivity with both the Momentum 4S and the px7s2s.
These two earbuds can connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time, regardless of ecosystem, which is nice if you're a power user, while with the Airpod Max you can easily swap between them. any of your Apple devices associated with your iCloud account, but they are primarily aimed at an Apple power user; However, with the Boost 4S, I have noticed that on a semi-regular basis these headphones do not automatically connect to my phone, so I have to go to my Bluetooth menu and manually establish a connection with these headphones. This doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough to the point where I have to point it out and this is a problem I've been able to replicate. my iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 14 pro Max and pixel 6A, while Bluetooth connectivity is simply not a problem with any of these other two headphones and I clearly said that this Bluetooth connectivity issue should not be a problem for the impulse 4S either, but when it comes to overall performance, all of these headphones have zero latency across the board when you're watching movies or videos on your phone, whether you're using an iPhone or an edge device, but when it comes to audio codecs, The Airpod Max now only supports SPC and AAC.
AAC will work perfectly fine whether you are an iPhone or Android user; However, these other two headphones support higher quality audio codecs. Now, the Momentum 4S supports SBC and AAC, but also supports app platforms and aptx. adaptive and then there are the px7s2 which also support aptx HD; However, if you want to take advantage of app platforms, keep in mind that you have to be an Android user because iPhones max out for AAC, but if you want, you can always use a wired connection with any of these headphones. Now with the px1s2 you can use your USBC port as a wired connection.
Now you can use a USBC to USBC cable or you can also use the included USB C2 audio jack cable, but then there is. They are the Impulse Force, you can also use their USB C port as a wired connection, but they also have a 2.5 millimeter audio jack, but the most important thing here is that both the px7s2s and the Impulse 4S come included with the cables of proper audio but then there is the airpod max now the airpod max only has a lightning port now you can always use a wired connection with the airpod max but you will have to get a lightning port to an audio jack cable which is sold separately but Now let's talk about that actually.
Listening to music with these headphones now without a doubt all these headphones sound better than more conventional options. They all have better SMS operation and sound more open; However, these headphones differ quite significantly when it comes to their bass response now with the px7s2s. I feel like these headphones will be better suited for someone who likes a more neutral or vocal-focused EQ. The px1s2 have very well defined mids and give the instruments very good detail, but they have the weakest overall base here now. Get me wrong, the bass on these headphones resonates quite a bit and if you were to go into the EQ settings you can raise their base and they will have more physicality, but the base of these headphones are not going to kick as hard as these other two headphones, if you like a More neutral or vocal Focus EQ, these have enough bass to satisfy you but if you like lots of bass they will leave you wanting more but then there are the airpod max, now the instruments work with these.
The earcups are in line with those of the px7s2, but the main difference here is that their base is noticeably higher, as these headphones offer a more fun and dynamic listening experience than the px7s2. My problem with the airpod max is that I have always felt that they put too much emphasis on the issue so I feel that these don't sound as balanced as these other two headphones because they have a slightly better sound signature, however I still really enjoy how they sound these headphones, but ultimately there they are the driving force and I think they will have an easier time pleasing the largest number of people here.
They have good functioning of the instruments. They sound more balanced than the Airpod Max because they don't put as much emphasis on the treble. The bass resonates more here and if you were to go into the equalizer settings and raise its base, its base will also be activated more here. However, I can't feel that these headphones don't have as much instrument separation as these other two headphones, their instruments. They're just not as defined. I also noticed that these headphones don't sound as loud asthese other two headphones. Now the boost four are more than loud enough, but I noticed that I would have to use them at a higher volume than with these others. two headphones, but overall, I personally think the px7s2 are my preferred sounding headphones here because I like their instrument operation over the instrument operation on the driving force and I prefer their more balanced sound over the airpod max; however, with the px7s2 their base is mostly on the audible side, so if you're someone who wants that instrument separation but also wants to feel your bass, then you'll want to use Drive Force now, when it comes to the meter controls On these headphones, the boost fours are the Here are only headphones that use a touch panel now, although this touch panel gets the job done, it's not my favorite because it's too sensitive for my taste, so I've noticed that accidental inputs can be a problem with this touchpad head, while with these other two headphones they have physical buttons, the px7s2 have a more traditional three button design, while the airpod Max has its crown, however, something that all of these headphones have They are wear sensors so whenever you take off any of these earbuds they will automatically pause your music and when you put them back on they will start playing music again now if the wear sensors on the Europod Max will work perfectly while if you use sensors on the Momentum 4S they work great but they only work half the time, the other half of the time it's like they forget I have them on and then there are the conscious ones. sensors on a vpx7s2s there were sensors sometimes they play and pause my music randomly now personally i don't really care about the use of the sensors are my headphones so i usually turn them off on all my headphones but i just wanted to let you know. in case sensors are very important to you but now let's talk about the active noise cancellation on these headphones yes the px7s2 block out a decent amount of noise for a pair of Premium ANC headphones however both the airpod Max and the The Impulse 4 blocks noticeably more noise than the px7s2, but so you can see for yourself, let's jump into an ANC test.
Thanks, so as you can get the scene, the px7s2 block out the least amount of noise here, but still block out an adequate level. amount of noise, however, both the Momentum Fours and Airpod Max brutally chase down those constant low-frequency sounds and, as a result, block out more road noise than the px1s2. Now I feel like the Europon Max blocks out more road noise than the Momentum Force, but I feel like the Momentum 4S does a better job of blocking out higher frequency sounds like chatter and overall I prefer the ANC on the Momentum Forge over the Airpod Max because they have noticeably less cabin pressure, but then there's Ambi mode on these headphones and now ambient mode. on the Momentum 4S is the only ambient mode hero that allows you to adjust the amount of noise they let in, while the ambient mode on these other two headphones is one size fits all, however the ambient mode on the Momentum 4S prioritizes noise. noise pollution on people's voices.
It's hard to understand when people are talking directly to you, while the ambient mode on the px7s2s sounds more natural and the ambient mode on the airpod max sounds more natural, it's almost like you're not even wearing headphones, plus if the microphone array o Pawn Max NVR does an amazing job of blocking out wind noise when walking outside, however, one thing that Momentum does have going for it is that they have an active ampi mode where they will automatically turn off ambient mode if there is a loud and sudden noise. like this important headphone warning if you are using them abroad and then when that loud noise stops they will go back to normal again.
Now the Airpod Max also tries to do this, but then they will gradually let that noise in this way. Max, they started to block out that noise, but then they gradually let it in. Now we know that Apple will focus on any of the active ambient modes because this is a feature that they will show on the Airpods Pro 2. and I'm pretty sure that Apple will save this feature for the airpod Max 2. and finally there are the VR px7s2, which They just leave everything so that your ears just explode and another thing that the impulse four have going for them.
What these other two headphones don't have is a talk mode where you can quickly lower the volume of your music and pump out all the ambient sound around you so you can quickly talk to someone without having to take off the headphones this way. thank you and then the headphones will be back to normal. Now this feature is extremely useful if you plan on traveling a lot with your headphones and again neither the px7s2s nor the airpod Max do this so overall I'll have to say the boost 4S. I have the more robust ambient mode here and it gets the job done, but it's not my favorite because it prioritizes noise pollution, which makes it a little difficult to understand people, but finally here's a thematic microphone test.
Now all of these earbuds have decent enough sounding microphones that I can take phone calls while I'm in a quiet room, but I feel like the boost four are doing a better job of amplifying my voice and I feel like the airpod max has the best clarity. here, however, i think the airpod max should do the best job here. of dealing with noise pollution because right now your Pawn Max is blocking out this road noise while keeping my voice front and center, whereas with the high boost four I feel like they are letting more road noise in and interfering a little with my voice and Then there are the px7s2 which let in even more road noise and interfere with my voice a little more.
Now when it comes to blocking conversations, they don't interfere with my voice as much, but they let in the most. of chatter, yes the boost four are doing a decent job of blocking this chatter without interfering with my voice too much, but I think the airpod max are doing the best job here. I'll take on this whole challenge, so overall I feel like everything Some of these headphones have decent enough sounding microphones to take phone calls while in a flying location, but I think the European Max does the best job here with the noise pollution, but having said all that on paper and at first glance, the Sennheiser Momentum Force should be the best headphones here.
They have a monstrous 60 hour battery life. They block out a ton of noise without much carbon pressure. Its ambient mode has the most features. You can use them with an audio jack or USBC wired connection and they sound great too, however the user experience here is not perfect as it should be, these headphones do not always automatically connect to your phone and this is an issue that arises. has replicated on multiple devices where the sensors did not work. I don't always react, the touch panels are too sensitive for my taste and can turn on and connect to your phone while in their case, but let's say Sennheiser manages to fix all these problems through a software update, I personally don't think these headphones are the most comfortable out there, they have a very firm fit, their pads can be a little tight and their headband can create a pressure point and they also no longer have their personally premium materials, the px1s2.
They are my favorite headphones here. I find these headphones to be more comfortable than the Momentum Force thanks to their looser fit, roomier ear pads, and well-padded headband. I also really appreciate the final materials here, but I also appreciate the better instruments. Separation On these headphones, what makes them sound more open than the Momentum Force, the only thing is that they don't have as much physicality at their base, but another reason why I lean towards the px7s2 is because their Bluetooth connectivity is not an issue, but finally its RV or Pound Max, although there are some reasons for me to like and appreciate the Airpod Max, I find it very difficult to justify the purchase of the r Pawn Max and I still consider the short battery life and its consumption to be an issue if you did.
