, I spoke with Mayor Jerry Demmings of Orange County, now just two weeks away from the deadline requiring employees to be vaccinated, and from an announcement this morning from Governor Ron Desantis, we learned that this is a mandate that could end up costing the county

if a government agency in the state of Florida imposes a vaccine as a condition of employment that violates Florida law and you will face a fine of five thousand dollars for each violation and so if you look at uh places here um in Alachua County like the city of Gainesville, I

Orange County, many, many more than that. Governor Ron Desantis announces fines for cities and counties that require employees to get vaccinated. The governor's office says the fines would be.
