I'm a pretty fast Riser. I don't stay in bed that long. I like to do it and, um, then I throw in a pair of running shoes, you know, running shorts, any kind of dare, maybe they usually like the loop. around the big house in the morning or around campus um just shake your legs you know you're a little dazed and things aren't moving very well joints are stiff even though I'm young I'm a morning fish with a tin man. It kind of wakes up your nervous system, increases your heart rate a little bit, you know, relaxes your muscles and you feel like you start the day less groggy.

I mean, you feel like you've already accomplished something, you're awake and refreshed, and um. sometimes I pass by the Yos grabbing gr I grab a good sack of breakfast um I take that back to my house and um and there's a pretty quick rush to get to class on time the day starts, you take out your backpack and kind of sit down, you know that you have to concentrate for a couple of hours, you know, first class on North Campus, usually the aerospace combustion class at 8:30, so you know the topics get intense. I would just go sit outside if it's a beautiful day, just sit. on a bench, whatever you know, North Camps is where you can find some nice quiet places to just enjoy the sun or nature.

You know, luckily, if I finish at 11:30, just two classes in one day, you know, I'll go home. and uh, go straight to making lunch, you know, grab a sandwich, so I'll eat at noon. um, just get ready for then, at that point, the focus shifts to practice at 3:30 and, um, you know, I'll work on some school work. at that time, taking a nap, practicing is always in the back of your mind. You know the fact that I'm having lunch at a certain time is because I know I practiced at 3:30. Changing the subject, you know, part one. of the day I maybe focused on school and going to class and the second part of the day I really do a good job of shifting gears and getting into kind of a practice mode and making sure Mind and Body is ready for whatever it is. that we have to do.

Practice today, it varies day to day depending on what the goal is, but you know, I think it keeps common themes, like you know we're here to do the work, like you're basically trying to prepare for it. Your body should be as fit as possible. It's not skills day or movie day. You know it's every day. You just go out and run. You are doing what you can do to improve. Know? Fitness. It makes you appreciate it. Know? time management and what you can do in a day, you know some of that, discipline is the most impressive thing about being a student-athlete here at Michigan.
