The threat of a shutdown grows as lawmakers struggle to reach final agreements, so it's time again that lawmakers and Congress are waiting for is just one day before the Friday

for the government shutdown, if they don't introduce this bill, then there will be a government shutdown and you would think they would know why.

Don't they just take care of this? You know, weeks before, instead of waiting the night before a big assignment is due or studying before a test, you know, do it, stop stressing people out, but one person could be responsible for this. shutdown happening what's at stake in this weak congressional vote to keep the government open, including Mansions' push to make it easier to build fossil fuel projects, so Joe Manchin was given a big promise that would be included on this big bill to keep the government open by basically guaranteeing Joe Manchin's fossil fuel bill will pass, but it doesn't look like it's happening.

Democrats are turning against Mansion. Republicans are turning against Mansion. It seems like Joe Manchin is on his own now, so I mentioned it. I didn't expect Republicans to rally behind Bernie. Sanders opposes the energy permits bill, so yeah, it seems like the Democrats aren't happy with Joe Manchin, they just wanted his vote, they're not really interested in what he's pushing and the Republicans are feeling a little Hurt that Joe Manchin had turned against them, Republicans were welcoming. entered the republican party as a democrat and they loved him excuse me and then all of a sudden Joe

manchin

just turned his back on the Republicans so watch this video clip right here of what Joe manchin has to say about it and If the government is going to shut down because of you, so Senator, to get your vote on the inflation reduction law, some promises were made to you about reforming the permitting process for energy projects, that has caused quite a stir in Washington right now in the Democratic Party.

What's going on? How is it going to end? Well, leave me alone Joe, let me go back and tell you how this all started. After BBB, after that it was resolved and nothing happened and we weren't going to do it. I couldn't get there. I tried every way I could to see it, but I couldn't get there, so we moved on and in April we had a horrible war. Putin has used energy as a weapon. We are not energy independent in our nation, we should be if you are. To be the superpower of the world, you would have to be energy independent and we can also be a leader in the world, as is investing in cleaner technologies and basically, like we said, walking and chewing gum at the same time.

In April I told Majority Leader Schumer. I told him that we have to do something about the energy, Chuck, because we have serious problems here and it is getting worse and worse and our friends in Europe are going to pay the consequences and before it will be on a global level. We're done and Putin definitely should not be able to dictate energy policy in the United States of America, so I said at that point Chuck said, well, Joe, your energy president, why don't you see what you can do? and I said Well, Chuck, I'm not sure my group or anyone else likes this because I think it has to be a balanced approach.

Those who basically want to decarbonize, we should all be working to decarbonize, but there are different variations of the definition. My definition of decarbonization is. more using more fossil fuels from the United States of America cleaner than anywhere in the world and replacing the dirtiest fuels and when our country reached out and started saying well, let's go and talk to Venezuela, let's talk to Iran. Venezuela produces absolutely the dirtiest fuel with no environmental oversight and then we have Iran, the most prolific terrorist supporter in the world, and we are going to give them money and buy from them now, something we wouldn't do for ourselves and people were going crazy and I said, that's enough.

We started drafting a bill in April very quietly because I didn't want people to get upset about it and then maybe something wouldn't happen, so it was kept quiet and then when it finally got to June and July. and this started getting worse in Europe, so Chuck and I talked and he said, I think we have to do something. I said, "Well, we have a nice balanced piece of legislation that allows it to have always been in this, so you both understand how to allow it." was always on this, why should the United States of America basically take five to ten years or more to build anything, whether it's pipelines, whether it's transmission lines, whether it's fossil fuels or clean fuels and wind and solar energy should have the infrastructure and it takes us too much time.

Most developed nations, especially our neighbors in Canada and even Australia, who we rely on quite a bit for many of these minerals, are one to three years. Why is it like this? The developed nation understands how they can process faster, get it to market faster, deal with the challenges, that's all we've tried to do and that's what I've said, so that's what we're working on now and we have a huge opportunity and this it's something I've been working on for 12 years with my Republican colleagues 12 years it's number one Hi Joe, we have to be able to allow reforms to build things and get things done, it's absolutely horrible that in America we're throwing things away for 5 10 and even longer, sometimes 12 and 15 years before we get a permit to do something, by then you've missed the market, your price is two or three times higher, so everyone agreed and my Republican colleagues and my friend Shelly Capital, my Shelley Moore. capital of West Virginia, she is from my Republican colleague and we are very good friends and they introduced a bill, a messaging bill that 46 other Republican senators support, they co-sponsored it, so if there are 47 Republican senators who said we need We have allowed reform and we have a majority of Democrats right now, don't you think it would be pretty easy for us to move forward?

That's what we hope will happen this week. What Barack Obama used to say about energy, a guy who's not seen as a right-wing conservative, he always talked about using all the above approach that, as we transition to an economy based on clean energy and green energy. that you have to look at everything, including fossil fuels, including nuclear energy, the whole previous approach, but at the beginning of this Second War, I spoke to people all over Europe, I spoke, I spoke to people all over the world and I kept saying what we should do for a long time. term, what do we have to do and everyone would come back to the same thing and I know this will surprise people?

This may sound a little boring and mundane to some people at home talking about permitting processes, but it's not, it's a matter of national security. No matter, I had the top Democrats in the Diplomatic Corps saying that we need to start speeding up the permitting processes so that we don't have to depend on what the Saudis decide. We're going to do based on how we treat them diplomatically, we don't have to depend on how the Russians are going to react to something we do in trying to defend freedom around the world, it's the same blunt conversation I've had.

We've had people on nuclear power for 25 years for 25 years they've been saying we have to build more nuclear facilities, we can't build nuclear facilities because the permitting process is so bad that it's cost prohibitive and that's the greenest technology that exists. out there right now there is no carbon footprint or anything and you are right we go to the dirtiest oil in the world the dirtiest oil producers in the world we go to the biggest dictators in the world and instead of doing it here and I just don't understand why that is it's smart for National Security and why it's a good long-term move for our environment and Joe, we have a 10-year pass if you want to reduce inflation if you basically want to get lower gas prices at the pump energy prices more lows in your home you better produce more product you better put more product on the line that's what we have to do, but we do it cleaner than anywhere else in the world and we can even do it better and cleaner than what we're doing today, we know we can and this is what we're pushing for, but the bottom line is you can't replace something just because you say I don't like coal.

I don't like gas I don't like oil okay the bottom line is we do it better the rest of the world is using it more than ever and we need to help our allies don't you think doing better at Cleaning It Up also helps the environment environment and if you put more products on the market, don't you think the prices will go down? If you are independent and we are basically secured as a nation, you cannot continue to be the superpower of the world otherwise. You don't have energy independence, it doesn't work if you depend on the rest of the world to produce energy for you that you won't make for yourself and your allies are looking to send how are you going to help me, you won.

Don't even help yourself, this is a time, Joe, this is a time in history, this is a time where we have never been able to get the Democrats who actually voted to allow reform to be willing to do it now because there is something for all. They are willing to do it and our Republicans have always wanted it for the last 12 years. I have worked with them and it is a bill that basically parallels what we are doing. Don't you think we can get 60 senators to vote? for this tomorrow or Wednesday and let's move on and they talked about the Mountain Valley pipeline because it's coming up that most of the fuel from the richest gas field right now is in West Virginia Western Pennsylvania Ohio, but the bottom line is there's no other project in the United States of America that can put as much energy on the market within six months as 303 miles of that pipeline.

The payment is part of an energy assistance fund called the Home Energy Assistance Summer Crisis Program, so what if you live in Ohio you could get 500 to help with electric bills and some qualifications here and yeah you have until you have to apply through the website and you have until September 30th. to apply for that, so there are only a few days left if you live in Ohio and want help with your electric bills of up to five hundred dollars.
