Oh, I feel like anyone's views can change. stuff, so I'm a little surprised that no one felt like it could change at all.

I don't think I could completely change to like the other side, but I would definitely be open to seeing it from a different perspective. I think My stance is very accommodating to both sides and said I feel very strong about what I've learned and what I think is possible, so I feel very strong about that, although I'm open to adapting to the needs of the parties. people. wishes with their rights my name is erin clayton after the shooting in orlando i realized that my community was largely a target i had to get involved to do something sometimes i think that the people on the other side of the issue don't care about me or for my lives of your loved ones?

I mean, in the area I grew up in and why I come from, many of you may not be able to understand that sometimes a gun is the only way to protect yourself. We all believe that there should be certain rules to enter them, but from my side. In all the land there are no gun laws. My name is Hasani. No matter what you say, there will always be guns, there will always be violence in the world, and I have a family to protect. I don't think all of you don't care about me or my family, you know, I think we all care, you know each other and each other, you know your loved ones.

I don't care about you, I'm trying to protect myself and mine. That's my reason for saying no one else cares because I'm pretty sure you all have the same idea, like your anti-gun, you don't want anyone to have guns, but that will put my Family in danger. I do not want that. I don't want anyone to have guns. That's not at all what we're saying. I think there are ways to do it. This is how I feel. Pro-gun people often say, "Well, this will never be solved," like, "gun violence will never end," and things like that.

It will not. It won't and you're absolutely right, but there are many ways to decrease it. I have been in a situation where my life was in danger. I grew up in St. Louis, so we went downtown, where there's a lot of violence. We're at Home Depot and this guy is starting to gather around my dad's truck and I'm alone in this. I am 14 years old. And I had to take my dad's gun out while he was shaking and literally just put it in my lap and demonstrate it. It ended up being potentially violent, potentially a robbery, you know.
I don't think people are automatically born saying, "I'm pro-gun." I think what you experience in your life makes you that way. My name is Sarah, it wasn't until recently that my opinion changed on how I felt about guns and then I became pro-gun to protect myself and my future family. I had never been pro-gun before and then a guy broke into my place and raped me and I couldn't run away, I couldn't do anything like I literally had to stand there and take it, but I knew that if I had had a gun at that moment on my night table, I would have defended myself.
I think America has a problem with mass shootings. Yes, I think we should all step forward for that. Come on. It would be ignorant to say that it is not a problem like I don't want anyone to die like I don't want to. To see these school shootings, I don't want people to get hurt. We are all in favor of protecting ourselves, but me. Think that when weapons are not in the right hands, then it becomes a problem. And I don't think any of us support that at the end of the day. So is everyone in favor of stricter gun laws or not?
There comes a point where you go too far. I don't think i need to answer a five thousand question questionnaire for a psychological test, you know? but isn't it worth it? and I'm not saying that's necessarily what we would definitely do or whatever, but like a five thousand questionnaire or like people's lives. Do you prefer? Would you be willing to go through the same process to get automotive training, licensing, (yay!), classes, a renewable license. Yes, yes, but not a psychological test. I think what you're saying doesn't have to be that long, but it's sad how someone can come to a gun show and have a ton of money, buy whatever they want, show a little, maybe a little card or something. , and get like maybe 20 guns and no one asks you just because you have money, a simple back

check can do a lot for people.
But I also think a lot of people like it because they don't want to have a conversation about gun violence. They turn around and say, oh, it's a mental illness and that needs to be talked about too, but gun violence is a separate topic that needs to be talked about as well. If my life was in danger, I would kill. Hell yeah. Can I walk faster? No, I really don't think I would have liked to have it in me. I don't know if I would have it in me. Anyone who wants it. Nobody has it in them until the time comes.
As if fear literally no longer existed. Like it disappears and it's like fight or flight, yeah, and you either freeze and die or you make it. And at the end of the day, I will achieve it. Some people don't have it, you can always, you know, shoot them in a place where they won't be able to move, yeah, yeah! That's what some people think, but when I went to-. I did my (?) class. They said if you try to shoot him in the leg, you have enough time to escape. Or realize that you're not in danger OR that your life isn't in danger, you know?
So they said if you pull out that gun, you're shooting someone, you're shooting to kill. I guess I just don't understand. I understand. Fighting for your life, that's why I came to this, to the safe center. But like all this talk about how to protect ourselves, how to be in these situations, but it's like again we're just increasing the weapons and I'm left with just one. I want us to look again at how we can combat this from the other end. I don't want to carry weapons, I don't want to have weapons in my club, I don't want to, I want to be there to dance, I don't want to, have a firearm on my leg and like, but?
Yes, but at that moment you are taking the right. No, but we'll wait if I can show you that there are ways to enact gun reform that will reduce the number of guns that exist. Increase education and not impair the ability of law-abiding citizens to have access to firearms. Would you be willing? to discuss ways to do that yes, like I said, I'm all for education, but I don't believe that at the end of the day, if someone tries to kill me, I'm going to kill them. I'm fine, so that's just it. but right now you can have that weapon and that is why we keep saying that it is already underway, that it is now possible to have all these weapons.
How can we start to look at this and, you know, change minds and our congress, our government, you know, the leaders' minds? You keep talking about education but that is not a reality. In that sense, we are not allowed to instill reforms that give us gun education. So it's as if the layman's ideas are fighting around ideas about how to kill, how to kill. At the end of the day, I am generally against violence. I wouldn't need or want to have a gun if there was no violence in the world. Sometimes it is a right because sometimes it is a necessity.
So how do we change? How do we do that? Where do we start to change the conversation? Where people don't immediately connect pro-gun with... You know pro-gun can equal pro-gun reform. Well, I mean that's why we're here, that's why we're all here. We are all risking something by saying something. I always taught that you never like to give your opinion on hot topics because you are just asking for it at that moment, but I feel like you have to speak up because to be silenced is to be just as guilty. I think society needs to learn.
To speak like educated people it is necessary to sit down, meet and talk about things. You have something to say and we said it and we accept all the points of view of the others. I told you we wouldn't stop hating each other. Alright, everyone, that's all! Hi guys, I'm Amari. I'm Taylor. Nice to meet you. Sometimes we disagree and that's okay because this is a
