why you switch and try to fill L with fish so as we get into our discussion about the

four

horsemen

of the apocalypse, I'd like you to keep in mind our video about the quest for Thanos and the reason why is because if you remember our discussion On Thanos Quest, we had talked about how Thanos had undertaken the task of obtaining the Infinity Stones, but he had done so by coercing or tricking people with Apocalypse, he is very similar to Apocalypse in terms of him. winning his Horsemen he does so in a way where he more or less tricks people or prays for people who are otherwise in a weakened state now, of course, given that the apocalypse first appeared in the first few issues from xfactor, he always operated with a team which is to say that there were people who carried out his goals now apocalypse uh I guess their reasoning here was that it was a way to demonstrate their strength to show that they were stronger than the people they were going after against and if they couldn't maintain In this role, I would replace them to always maintain this element that the strong should survive the weak, so with issue 10 of X Factor we picked it up in the middle of the mutant massacre and, if you remember In our discussion about the She was about to be killed by Harpoon, she of course had already managed to subdue uh to subdue Sabertooth but during this process apocalypse had appeared to her in the tunnels of more blocks and apocalypse told her that he would take her to make her the pestilence of uh The Horseman was willing to come with this and of course he, uh, I guess, had lured her in by telling her that she had incredible power and that her power could be used for a better purpose than the one it was currently being used for. and with the plague as part of the morlocks.
marvel comics the four horsemen explained comics explained
This was something that really resonated with her and the reason is because the Morlocks were what they were because they felt marginalized, they felt like they had no place and that's why, in the apocalypse, he approached her and told her that he would turn the pestilence of her in something. gave him a role gave him something gave him some kind of purpose from here we change to a person named Abraham and Abraham had previously fought in the Vietnam War but the conflict had left him paralyzed from the neck down and so the apocalypse appeared to him to the hospital and told him that it would give him back his ability to walk he would give him back his ability to use the remaining part of his body of course he again appeals to the powers that war has saying that his ability to applaud and create a destructive force somewhere is something that really resonates with the desires that the apocalypse had and that's why again praying about the uh, I guess the vulnerable nature of Abraham in the moment that the apocalypse takes Abraham and turns him into the war of the Horsemen. here we transition to a girl named autumn autumn rolson and autumn rolson is a girl who has the ability to more or less take on the role of famine, her power allows her to eliminate food or turn food into dust or turn anything into dust.

And of course her parents don't necessarily reject her for being a younger person, but her parents are extremely protective of her and of course her parents, uh, after seeing her use her abilities, lash out and ask her if she really wants to. let xfactor come and take her away again, going back to our discussion about xfactor when xfactor was operating as if it were a mutant gathering force, they were operating to capture mutants, of course, pastol liner. I guess um uh Autumn gets very angry with her parents for this fact. that she really isn't allowed any measure of freedom and so when she lashes out at her parents she of course leaves and goes to her room and when she does she is greeted by the apocalypse and once again taking advantage of the apocalypse of vulnerable nature.
marvel comics the four horsemen explained comics explained
She says that he can give her a place that she can, he can give her the power that she needs to get revenge on her parents if that's what she wants to do and so again taking her as her third horseman, he transforms her. hungry now with Angel. It's a little more complicated here. Angel has a deeper story in terms of how he became the Death Horseman and it actually spans across several

comics

. Angel, of course, had been seen fighting the Marauders during the Mutant Massacre event, but his conflict with Harpoon had damaged his wings. This, of course, was the first time we saw Thor appear when Thor found him pinned against a wall with his wings damaged, but during the course of the Mutant Massacre and after.
marvel comics the four horsemen explained comics explained
The Mutant Massacre event ended, it reached a point where the angel's wings had to be removed, of course, his wings were effectively dying, but because they were dying, they were also shrinking and turned green and, of course, Jean Gray had informed Warren Worthington that he would lose the use of his wings and eventually Warren Worthington wakes up to find that his wings have completely disappeared. Now there are a couple more things going on here. Of course, we had seen that Cameron Hodge had tried to kill Warren Worthington on several occasions, but finally Warren Worthington. wakes up on Apocalypse's skyship an apocalypse says he can give him back his ability to use his wings he can give him back what he wants most but only if he takes on the mantle of being uh being The Death Horseman of Of course, what Apocalypse also does here it is pitting the

four

horsemen

against each other in conflict and again for Apocalypse this takes up the idea that the strong are the ones who must survive and the weak are the ones who must survive. perish and then what it says here is that the person who is able to defeat all the other horsemen will in turn be their leader and with uh Angel having received prodigious training at the hands of the other X-Men, as well as alongside them .
X Factor and in addition to Charles Xavier he is the one who emerges victorious, so Arcángel is the uh deao leader of the group Four Horsemen. Now from here we move on to the xfactor numbers from 23 to 28 and what we see along the way is the apocalypse. actually making his move, this is when we see him taking the four horsemen and pinning down the four horsemen and trying to storm the city of Manhattan and over the course of this series we see a litany of things that happen, of course, we see how Caliban approaches. apocalypse and tells apocalypse that he wants more power due to the fact that the Marauders had eliminated the morlocks or a large part of the morlocks.
He wanted to not only get revenge on the Marauders but he also wanted to be in a position where if something happened again, he could stop it, he could be more than just a person who can just track down mutants. Now, what Apocalypse does here is that he doesn't actually turn Calaban into a horseman, which he does. is simply calling Calaban Hellhound, meaning that he uses Caliban's ability to track mutants for his own use. Now, what we see over the course of issues 23 to 28 are several things. The first thing we'll see is, of course, that uh, the.
The riders are fighting X Factor in the skies over Manhattan, but we also see the apocalypse basically wipe out a large portion of Manhattan when a ship crashes into the city, causing nearly countless deaths, millions of people are injured, and also multiple deaths. and so in the course of this conflict, the plague is found or I guess the pestilence is found by a power pack who of course was fighting alongside xfactor in an attempt to keep the damage to a minimum, but during the conflict With a power pack, Pestilence is knocked off her horse and when she is killed, what this does is allow the apocalypse to, in turn, make Caliban the Horseman Pestilence.
Now this doesn't happen until the end of this issue, until the end of issue #28, but what I also see is that in issue #25, Archangel believes that he has killed Iceman and the way that this happens is that, of course, the X-Men fighting Archangel are also trying to get him to recover and understand who he is again. is as a person and to escape the brainwashing of Archangel Apocalypse being so entrenched in this brainwashing he doesn't understand what they are saying but when Bobby Drake makes an ice statue of himself of course Warren Worthington attacks it and breaks it in half and this sends him into a deranged state of mind where he feels like he has killed one of his closest friends and a member of the X-Men team and then what Archangel does is he immediately turns against the apocalypse and realizes that the apocalypse has turned it into a perversion.
From his former self now, of course, Archangel doesn't have the ability to overcome the apocalypse, his power just isn't that vast, but what it does do is it allows Warren Worthington to leave the confines of apocalypse and in turn, create your own. make his own path and come to his own understanding I guess he will regain his orientation on who he is as a person now, this is a very important moment in the history of the horsemen and the reason is because with Archangel being the Horseman, death when Well, there won't be another death of Horseman for quite some time, from here we transition to The Incredible Hulk at issues 455 to 457 and with these stories what we get is that we pick up with the Incredible Hulk with Bruce Banner after the events of the saga Onslaught and of course we have the Heroes Reborn universe and different things like that, but for the most part a lot of different things happened, a lot of different things are happening, so we're not necessarily going to go too far into that, but what we have here's a situation where the Incredible Hulk is haunted by both the ghost of his dead father and the ability to draw power from the hero's reborn Universe, which is Marvel's way of explaining how the Incredible Hulk has more improved abilities than before, but what the apocalypse does here and what I consider one of the best crafted stories is that it gives us a two-pronged event, the first thing it does is lay the seeds for what will later become the foundation from the story called the 12, a situation in which apocalypse is going to gather a multitude of mutants for the purpose of giving himself the ability to be on par with the celestials, which apocalypse tells us here. in these issues of the Incredible Hulk is that the Celestials are returning and because the Celestials are returning they are going to EXP, I guess they are Apocalypse payments, but since Apocalypse doesn't, he won't be able to provide them with what is. who wants what to do or what they want to do, what he wants to do is turn the Incredible Hulk into his Horseman war and if the Incredible Hulk is as powerful or more powerful than uh then Apocalypse and he will be able to help Apocalypse to prevent the celestials' attempts to probably invoke his wrath against the apocalypse and then what he does, what the apocalypse does is he goes to the Incredible Hulk, he kidnaps him in the middle of a conflict when he's destroying Xavier.
Institute and what he reveals, I guess the Incredible Hulk is what Apocalypse considers his weakness. Apocalypse tells the Incredible Hulk that the problem is that he's too easily manipulated, that he's just not very smart, and since he's not very smart, his mind is uh. I guess she's open to psychic probes, but more than that, uh, better, I guess Betty Ross is really the Achilles heel of her existence, while Betty Ross has the ability, if injured, to send the Incredible Hulk to a state of anger that would. That would make him a formidable threat to anyone or, I suppose, everyone except the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe.
Betty Ross is also the only person the Incredible Hulk cares about most and therefore she is his weakness and therefore what he tells the Incredible Hulk is that he can eliminate that weakness, he can put the Incredible Hulk in a place where no one can take advantage of him and then the Incredible Hulk decides to go ahead with this, but with the Incredible Hulk it seems to us as the reader that he might have some underlying motivation here, the motivation is to escape the haunting element of his father within him. his mind and then what the apocalypse does is pit the Incredible Hulk against a group called The New World Order, now the New World Order is Exactly What It Looks Like is an organization very similar to Advanced Idea Mechanics, a group that wants more or less take over the world and what the New World Order does is in response to this they send two people the first person they send is the absorbing man and the second person is Juggernaut now with the absorbing man of course we see which almost immediately after he arrives he is defeated by uh by The Incredible Hulk when The Incredible Hulk gets his attention by picking up a pyramid and throwing it at him, but What we see when Juggernaut gets here is that Juggernaut is initially able to go toe to toe with the Incredible Hulk , who can physically match the Incredible Hulk and actually overpower the Incredible Hulk, but then after a short time, the Incredible Hulk.
Hulk is able to stop the Juggernaut in his tracks and this is a very important moment in Marvel Comics andThe reason is because until then it was always believed that Juggernaut was unstoppable and that once Juggernaut started moving no one could stop him. And this showed us how far the power of the Incredible Hulk went when the augmentations were done at the hands of Apocalypse and, over the course of these

comics

, we also see Rick Jones, one of The Incredible Hulk's closest friends standing alongside the absorbing man. , Janice and a couple of other people while this conflict is going on, but when the Incredible Hulk and Juggernaut arrive in Cairo and start fighting each other inside the city of Cairo, Rick Jones tries to stop them and in The Trial The Incredible Hulk attacks Rick Jones now, was it this moment?
The Incredible Hulk realizes what's going on here, of course, the haunting figure of his father returns even though the shrapnel inside his head had been removed, which had turned away many. these things, but what we also see is the Incredible Hulk getting his San back, removing the armor from his body that the apocalypse had given him, the augmentations the apocalypse had given him, and then minding his own business to try to figure out what is what he what needs to be done now from here we transition Wolverine to the events that are before and during 12 now again 12 was a circumstance whereby the apocalypse had brought together several mutants 12 mutants, all of whom They represented different aspects of reality for the most part, think of it as a mutant version of uh, the infinite G and what you want to do is channel your powers directly into the living monolith and the living monolith will in turn channel those energies directly into the apocalypse that will imbue him with the ability to recreate any facet of anything to, in effect, eliminate the Celestials entirely and recreate the world or reality as he sees fit, and thus, over the course of these comics, Of course, we see that the apocalypse is defeated, but during this time.
We continue with Wolverine now, this is after the events of fatal attractions and at this point we have already met phal Wolverin and so on, but Wolverin does not have adamantium in his body and what happens is that Wolverin is kidnapped and he is taken to a temple and is forced to come into conflict with Sabretooth. Now, over the course of the comic, it is revealed to us that the apocalypse had started this whole circumstance where Wolverine is fighting sabertooth and what apocalypse wants to do is take one of them will be the death of the Horsemen, but again following Revelation's most notable tendency that the strong must overcome the weak pits the two against each other and whoever wins will in turn become the death of the horsemen, rain of wolves of course.
The one who emerges victorious is the one selected by the apocalypse to become his Horsemen, but over the course of the next issues, issue #146, issue #147, we see that with Wolverine, his brainwashing is overcome through a combination of the mental powers of psylock and Cerebro, as well as Jubilee and the other seen with the Horsemen of the Apocalypse It's usually war or the death of the horsemen, but with the uh, the Horseman of the Apocalypse, either the Apocalypse goes to them in a very vulnerable state or the Apocalypse goes to them and just forces them to become Horsemen, but it usually always turns out that the Horsemen betray Apocalypse Now, for Apocalypse, this is not a big problem because at any moment, Apocalypse could most likely eradicate any of the Horsemen, he could eliminate them completely, but again, I suppose the Apocalypse uses this as a justification to say that the strong should overtake. the weak and for him the horsemen he has chosen are those he perceives as the strongest members, the strongest people who are capable of defending themselves in any given situation, but with the pivotal event that is currently occurring, we now see that apocalypse. has returned that I suppose the boy Apocalypse or Evan as we had previously called him has now returned to his old self, to the person Deathlock had perceived he would most likely become and with Apocalypse's return the question becomes in: Will the Four Horsemen return, will we see the four horsemen return or will this Axis version of Apocalypse be a different type of Apocalypse?
Is he really still interested in the mechanics and motivations for Only the Strong surviving or is it just something he's saying? I don't really know what's going on with his character again, we're only a couple of issues away from his return and so we don't really know what direction things will take, that being said, let's go ahead and bring this video to the end I hope you enjoyed it, if you did let me know and I'll see you later, peace.
