you about the Galaxy Note 10. What's going on with the technical team? Andru Edwards, Editor-in-Chief of Gearlive. .com and as I mentioned last week was the big Samsung Unpacked event in New York City that took place at the Barclays Center where the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus smartphones were revealed to the world.

Samsung told us all about its new smartphones, but left out a few details that I thought would be important to pass on to you guys as you're thinking about whether or not you should upgrade to the new hottie. Now I mentioned that there are 10 things that Samsung didn't tell you and that doesn't mean that there are 10 negative things that Samsung will tell you; There are also some very interesting things that Samsung didn't actually have time to share on stage. I actually worked on this video with my friend Kevin, the tech ninja, so I'll be there. Going over the first half of that list and I'm going to hand it over to Kevin and his channel so you can pick up the second half, but without further delay, let's get started. 10 things Samsung didn't tell you about the

10 plus, let's start with the first on my list: wireless charging speeds when the

galaxy

note 9 was announced a year ago, fast charging supported speeds of up to 15 watts when plugged into a wall and seven-point speeds When using wireless charging with the galaxy note 10 and note 10 plus, we have some major charging improvements: the note 10 charges at 25 watts when wired and 12 watts when wireless, so that's four watts and half faster than last year's note 9 and on the front note 10 plus the note 10 plus also supports super fast wired charging up to 45 watts, so in just 30 minutes, if I forget to charge my phone during the night, I don't sweat at all in just 30 minutes, the time it takes me to complete my morning yoga routine.

was more interesting to me It was the wireless charging speeds, as I already mentioned, last year's galaxy note 9 could charge wirelessly at 7.5 watts and when plugged into a wall it could charge at 15 watts, this year on the Note 10 plus , you'll actually get wireless charging speeds of 15 watts, which means the wireless charging speeds of the new Note 10 plus are equal to the wired charging speeds of the Note 9, which is amazing.

You'll get a longer battery life and it's much faster for you to charge that battery. Next on my list, five things Samsung didn't tell you about the Galaxy Note 10, it doesn't work with the Gear VR virtual reality headset last year. When the Note 9 launched, Samsung also released a Type-C adapter for the Gear VR headset that allowed it to be used with the Note 9. Unfortunately, this year Samsung isn't giving the Galaxy Note 10 the same treatment. In fact, here's a Samsung quote, I'll read it to you. Gear VR is not compatible with Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10. Additionally, we remain committed to innovating in VR and AR to bring amazing new experiences to our consumers, which is a pretty vague statement that was not mentioned.

Gear VR during the Galaxy Unpacked event, so Samsung's support for virtual reality headsets is up in the air at the moment. By the way, speaking of virtual reality headsets, let me take a second to digress if you haven't seen it. I just made a video about the Oculus Quest which, in my opinion, is the true arrival of high-quality virtual reality that you can take with you on the go. I'll leave a card here somewhere, as well as a link in the description if you've done it. I haven't seen it yet, that's probably the direction I'd go if I wanted to use VR these days instead of a Gear VR headset, but the Gear VR has a much lower entry price so it's a little disappointing to see the next one Number Three. on my list I think Samsung didn't tell you about the note 10 and not 10 more without a headphone jack now I know they did tell you actually I don't think they didn't mention that they didn't mention that there is no headphone jack but we all know by now that the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have removed the headphone jack after three years of Samsung mocking Apple by launching commercials mocking Apple for removing the headphone jack, they have gone and done the same thing.

They've removed all those commercials from YouTube and are even using the same reasoning that Apple used to remove the headphone jack. Now in the box you'll find a pair of USB headphones with your Galaxy Note 10 device, so you'll still be able to listen to music by simply plugging it into the USBC port instead of the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. However,

Samsung doesn't include in the box is the USB C to 3.5 millimeter adapter that would allow you to connect any wired headphones. your choice of Samsung actually makes you buy the adapter if you need it, compare it to Apple with the iPhone 7, when they removed the headphone jack they actually included Lightning headphones and the adapter for free in the box and then the next year with the iPhone 8 8 plus. and 10 again during that full year, Apple also included the headphone jack adapter in the box, so for two generations of phones, Apple included the headphone adapter in the box, so it doesn't look as good when Samsung removes headphone jack after mocking Apple. for doing the same thing but not including the adapter in the box instead of making you spend extra money if you need it, well moving on to number four, the galaxy note 10 was advertised as having a stainless steel frame but it turns out it actually doesn't It was true and this is a bit strange.

Samsung announced that the frame around the Galaxy Note 10 was stainless steel and when I went in to test it, that didn't seem to be the case, but sure enough, that information was quietly removed from the Galaxy Note 10 website instead of updating the metal frame. to stainless steel, still using aluminum, in my opinion, is no big deal, aluminum is totally fine, but when you say it's stainless steel, it turns out to be aluminum and someone has to call. You discover it and then remove it from the website, which seems a little strange, so if you are watching other YouTube videos that mention stainless steel specifications, know that they are based on old information.

Okay, let's move on to number five: things Samsung didn't tell you about the Galaxy Note 10. Let's talk about PC platforms and links to Windows, and they kind of talked about this, but again that announcement flew under the radar a little bit. So I thought I'd dig a little deeper into this. Dex on PC allows you to access the dex features on the Note 10 directly from your PC or even your Mac. Connect your Note 10 with the USB or USB cable and you will get a dedicated dex window that you can work in to access all your data and files on your phone, all kept safe with Samsung Knox, so if you're familiar with previous years of Dex, it'll take your Samsung smartphone and connect it to a dedicated monitor, so a monitor that wasn't connected to anything more basically your phone acted as the computer.

I always thought that was a bit inconvenient so it's great to see that you can now connect your Note 10 to a computer and have a dex window appear on your computer and again it's great, it's compatible with PC and Mac so no you need to have an extra monitor lying around, you just need to have a PC, whether it's a desktop or a laptop, and you can access them. dex features on the fly now separate feature even more interesting this is a separate feature many people thought it was the same but it is separate it is a link to windows.

The good thing about this is that there is no software installation needed, everything is built into Windows 10 and the

galaxy note 10 and it allows you to sync content from your phone to the PC, for example, messages, recent photos, have you taken notifications and You can even mirror the screen from your phone. Now, this is Samsung and Microsoft's response to what we see. with the iphone and the mac, icloud powers all these different things, that's why people love imessage so much, you can receive a message on your phone, you can reply to it from your mac, everything syncs and we've never had the same experience on Android now.

To be clear, this isn't an Android feature, it's a Samsung feature, but it's still nice to be able to receive text messages on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10 right on your Windows 10 PC and respond right there without having to pick up the phone. phone. notifications and the same to access and send recent photos you have taken. This isn't all Apple customers get with iCloud, but it's a step in the right direction by getting these two different ecosystems to at least talk to each other.
