Mar 26, 2024
Hello everyone, today is the

first

time I'm

listen

ing to the Night Wishes Ghost Love sheet music and as requested I chose the 2013 performance on Vacant and well so far I've just been choosing pieces from the list my friend gave me , But so. A lot of requests have been coming in, I thought I should take a popular request and see what it is because I want to hear what you all like and admire, and you know, expand my experience even further, so this one seemed to be popular so I chose and I said, I told my friend and he said, "Okay, so this is going to be interesting.

I'm curious and let's see how it sounds. Everyone's going to hate me for stopping so soon, but these lights are on." This show is okay, I know rock concerts are a little different than

classical

music concerts, but these lights flashing in my face are so distracting that I'm used to being able to go to a concert and

listen

to music like I've been to one. Once in a

classical

symphony hall or something, everyone sits in such silence. You know, woe betide the person whose phone rings, or you know, if you have someone behind you who's coughing or sneezing, nobody wants that, so I know he's at Rock concerts are different, the crowd wants to get involved. and participate in a very extroverted dynamic way and they want to feel the mood.

More Interesting Facts About,

I know this from what I've heard and I've never been to one. I'm not sure I want to go to one right now, but as soon as this started, this is a live concert, like you suggested, I watch it live and I see these lights flashing in my eyes and I'm thinking, how can you even enjoy it? music anyway, let's move on, I just wanted you to know how that makes me feel, so in this opening section I'm gradually learning the terms used in rock music, I've learned about riffs and I've learned about guitar solos. I'm not sure if there is a special term for the opening section.

I guess I would call it the introduction from my experience. He's establishing a kind of very energized rhythmic foundation. It reminds me of the kind of movie backing music you might hear. to a movie that shows an ancient army preparing for battle or something has that kind of vibe to me. I'm curious to know what's going to happen next. You have to understand that this is the

first

time I have observed a live rock concert and it is so fun for me to see the way the crowd interacts with the music. It's a very different way of relating to music than I'm used to and, for me, it's unique.

Probably for many of you it is normal, but kind. of different, so now you are adapting to a very good place, here comes the place, so another thing I want to say is that a lot of the comments that came in and told me to listen to this song, a lot of you said that The composer is considered the Mozart of metal and the singer is um, you know, she has a background in opera, so I guess I'm a little surprised while watching this, I just haven't read it completely yet. I don't know how it will play out, but first of all to my ears there is nothing opera-like in the singer's voice.
To me it's a very commercial modern sound that depends on the sound system and the microphone, and you can hear that if she were singing without the microphone, it wouldn't sound the same, she is her training, yes, she seems to have a good flow and line, already You know, precision and so far it's nice, but it's not at all what I expected when I read that, she's an operatic voice to my ears, this isn't anything operatic yet, let's see what happens next oh, brings me first, okay, so she has a very, very almost um no, I can't call it a childish voice, no, it doesn't have a childish sound.
To me, as I said before, so far it sounds purely commercial, I don't mean that in an insulting way, but that's what it sounds like musically in music. I'm actually a little confused because I don't hear any kind of um. real sense of direction in the melodic lines, there are long lines of music of course, I haven't completely finished the piece yet and they are nice sounds I guess you could say, but I don't feel any sort of, um, I should say, an emotional attraction to him, it doesn't do that, it's a kind of distant, almost fairytale-like sound, that maybe it's meant to do that, I guess the title is

ghost

love

sheet music, so

ghost

love

could be something gentle. of distant and imaginary or something inaccessible maybe anyway let's continue with the siren about this this is reminding me reminds me of some kind of strange things the way the music is now well I used the word commercial before now I'm going to put the place in a different more specific context right now at this moment in music it sounds like what we sometimes call ccm is an abbreviation for commercial Christian music and the kind of stuff that you can find singing on the platform in a a very contemporary Christian church, uh , that's exactly what it sounds like everything I did without her and now it brings to mind another association, like going back to what I said at the beginning, now it feels like I'm watching a Disney movie, um, I won't say nothing more now because I want to finish listening, but I just want you to know that that's where it's putting me now, so I've actually listened to some rock pieces now, I guess I was starting to wait. a guitar solo and I was ready for it, he stopped before it started, he started playing the same melody she was saying and I was thinking he would do something with it, he stopped anyway, I keep going, I can.
I don't know if this is supposed to be an underwater scene maybe or it sounds a bit like I'm looking into space maybe a kind of space music to me interesting to me now this makes me think of a kind of sea shanty style. I guess this is really good, let's move on, but it's really interesting the way there's a piece of something and then a kind of blank space and then a piece of something else, so here we are in this same sea shack, yeah, you already know. You could, you could, I could imagine that again in some kind of movie, like a moment where they're all working together on a boat or pulling a rope together or something like, anyway, kill me, peace, I can't.
I figured out where to put this music, it's not at all what I expected, it's throwing me from one Disney style movie to another Disney style movie you know, and I guess now I'm trying to figure out where Mozart is in this is the Mozartian element of Mozart because I haven't heard anything particularly that grabs me yet. I'm not done with the piece and I'm not judging it. I'm just telling you what's going through my mind right now, but despite the fact that I'm a little disoriented and confused due to the expectations I came into this piece with, there are a few things I'm noticing that are intriguing to me, maybe you could say yes, her voice is quite versatile, she is capable, she is obviously trained of course, and she can use it in very varied ways and to give different moods and emotional content, which is nice, I Like, it's also interesting to me the way the stage setup is.
Well, to me it seems a bit medieval the way they are presented. She's wearing some kind of leather outfit that maybe you could say it reminds you of something like some medieval heroic character and, um, there's a few things. in music that rhythm again, like I said, is what you hear when you listen to some movie that sets up a warrior theme or something, so I'm noticing some little things along the way, but at the same time I'm a little uh, disoriented in right now, but let's go ahead and finish the piece. I see she's engaging the crowd now.
I wonder if she'll sing about it. That would be interesting. Okay, now we're moving too. It sounds a bit like a vocal exercise. Okay, now. we're changing again you're kind of circling back to this the long sustained lines that she started with here free oh so the last part I wanted to stop several times and then I wanted to wait because it felt like I was trying to build up to a big epic part of the story or something and I wanted to see where it was going to go again. I was expecting something that didn't happen, so, because I felt that towards the end she had a powerful voice, but it was like it wasn't quite, um giving it the epic, it wasn't quite, she was being dominated, she was like drowned under the instruments and maybe they intended it to be that way, because obviously she has a powerful voice, but um.
Yeah, we get to the end of the song here and you can see I'm digging around trying to figure out that I came in with certain expectations because of the comments that came in and everything, and maybe I. I should have tried not to set expectations because now I'm a little unbalanced and I'm trying to figure out, what is it for me? It fits into the category of what I would call film style music, you know where there are parts that could come across as a solo, but then there are parts where you really feel like there's no visual action and which was interesting to me because it I saw at the beginning, I remember saying that the flashing lights were very distracting, very distracting, but then In the piece there were places where the music basically stood still and did nothing and I guess I would have enjoyed something happening at that moment because there was nothing to keep my attention in that moment to myself again.
I'm coming to this completely new. I've never seen a live rock concert before and I've never heard this band before and I've never heard this symphonic metal before, so maybe my opinions will change over time, but that's how I feel right now. right now, after seeing this today, I'll come back in a few days to tell you what I learned more about it. I'm going to read about it. I'll try to find the sheet music and study it a little. I'm going to listen to it some more and I'll tell you in the second half what I find out and you can find the link to that second half right at the bottom of the screen here.
See you soon.
