Mixing All My Polygel Together

Mar 13, 2024
Hello guys, today I am going to do something that is going to be very fun. I am very excited. I haven't been this excited to make a video on a grip, so today we're going to mix up all my

polygel

and the six or so pounds. From that, I collected all the polygons that I have and put them in this box and today we are going to mix them all

together

and see what color we get in this box. I have a globe with a glitter dark

polygel

PolyJet gelatin thermal polygel poly gel every color of the rainbow poly gel tons of different pieces tons of clear tons of different types of poly gel and today we're going to mix them all

together

to see what color we get and then make a set of nails with it.
mixing all my polygel together
I don't know exactly how many there are, we'll still find out throughout this whole process, but other than that, let's get right to it, so I'll be sure to keep a count of exactly how many are here . I'm going to go through and do how many pins, how many nudes, how many blues, etc., just because this is a lot and I'm not going to mix, you know, all your reds together individually, your greens individually, I'm just going to do some all together, like this that we are going to do it. Now, then the tools I will use only this mold.

mixing all my polygel together...

I don't know of anything better to mix into poly gelatin that will stick to everything, so it doesn't really matter what we use to mix it. I'm going to use this little spatula to scrape it off and I think it's going to be easier since I can scrape the sides and then if we need to, this little spatula to mix it in or help get the polygel. out of each one, so I'm not going to talk about every poly job because obviously that would be ridiculous, but maybe give a little information if I like poly gel or if I don't like poly. gel or if I like the color, I like the kit that was in it, I'll also leave a bunch of different kits that I recommend below that you'll probably see throughout this video, so let's jump right into that.
mixing all my polygel together
I'll stop talking okay, so this is first a Djeli poly gel from the pink kit from a cart. I'm going to do a lot with each one and really try to scrape it off the bottom. I'm not going to be too picky about each one now, some of these I have a few duplicates so keep that in mind. I took out all the light tones I had. I didn't want to just do a light tone, I wanted to do it literally. every single polygel that I have, that includes all the clear ones in every kit from the company, whatever there's like one or two, you know, double Pink or something, just because I have duplicate kits, so yeah , oh, and Yan, funny, don't get me.

Wrong, this is going to take a long time, but I'm so excited that I actually thought of this idea when I was lying in bed. I don't know what made it pop into my head, but I was kind of laying there half awake and I was trying. I thought about a video and I thought and it just occurred to me, but I'm really curious to see it, because there will be a lot of light, there will be some gelatinous colors, there will be some glitters, there will be some glow-in-the-dark colors, some thermal colors. I'm curious to see if it will glow in the dark in the end.
How much glitter is in it? Yes it will react with heat. I'm very curious because there are so many colors. There are a lot of different formulas in this, it's going to be crazy, some of them are a little harder than others, here we go, we have to be nerdy, you guys drink for the occasion, some of these, you guys haven't seen me, I know , sometimes I'm like, oh, I didn't do it. I like the video I shot so what will end up happening is I'll make a video and then use the kit and then if the video doesn't come out right most of the time I won't remake a video with that kit so you guys don't You've seen me use some of these, there are at least two full kits that I used here that I never showed in the videos, see this is a very exciting luminescence one and don't worry, I know it from the polygel.
It's so sticky that it's going to be hard to mix, but I'll mix it for hours if I have to take them on a little bit more so we can really show everything that's going on. I'm in a very good mood today, this is I'm very excited now, if in the end I don't have as much poly gel as I'm thinking, then I'll do a shorter series, not a series like this long one or anything I hope to be able to do is a such a long series, but I'll really do it. just do what the polygel says.
I think I have a lot more pinks than anything else, so I think I'm going to head towards the warmer side. Well, first the blue. Is this jingling getting annoying? I feel like let me try to do this with it instead of a spatula so it's not annoying, sorry you didn't like the jingle so far, another blue. I love this blue. Can we do it like this? Yeah, we'll do that with this one because I don't want the jingle to be annoying. I love it. this blue I also feel like it's a good time to be able to go back and see all the different colors and products and everything that I have that way, maybe I can start using some of these things more.
I know I have a lot, but I really like to review the kits for you because I feel like even though I have a lot, I really hope that these videos help you make a decision and whether or not you want a kit or if you feel like you need one because I don't. I want no one to feel like they have to buy every new kit that comes out. I want you to only get the ones you really enjoy, that's why I make these videos and I want you to be able to watch them. You know the different things you can do with each kit and you just don't feel like you have to buy everything and you really see what kids are for you, so I think this will be a hair, there will be hairs, I have three dogs, that's going to happen.
I think this is the only blackish gray poly gel that I actually have this cruel gel. By the way, I'm taking them out of the box at random, here's our first little glitter ooh, this one is hard to squeeze, it's actually coming off the mold a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I'm probably talking too much for this video. Very sorry. I think it was one of the first polygel kits I tried. this Trinity USA I remember this was 2 or 3 years ago at this time this was one of the first kids I tried that or the jealous I'm not sure but I know I used this a lot because it's almost empty and It was one of the first Poli July that you ever used.
Some of these are definitely stiffer than others. I am very happy with my health. So far, though this isn't as horrible as I thought because I love seeing all the colors. I'm like ooh. nice, this one has sticky, okay. I feel that with each one of them I like to surprise myself again. I think ooh, this one is cool, even if it's like a simple nude one that's white first. Smells a lot focused on this one. I don't tend to use a lot of white just because white is the hardest to cure in my opinion. I always end up with that weird little spot in the middle where it doesn't heal, it's like a little bubble or something, um, other. cold color, another shine, are you still looking?
Did everyone jump to the end? I feel like everyone probably skipped to the end. Nobody is watching this part. I don't know about you, but I feel like this is looking pretty good so far. I can't tell you how excited I am, you know I'm usually not that over the top about things, but I am very excited. OOP, here's one that glows in the dark. I really hope this glows in the dark, how cool. It would be like a thermal poly gel with glow-in-the-dark gelatin glitter. I know this one for sure. I didn't like the video I made and didn't post using it.
This kit, let me read, I'll show you that. real quick, I remember Eddy, I really love this color, look at this brown color, I don't know, I'm like a big fan, okay, okay, let me go through maybe 10 or 15 of these real quick, so you're not here forever. I don't want this to be an hour long video and this is just the first half of the video. You do all this and you mix it and then I have to do a series with said polygel so this is It's going to be a long video so let me do this and we'll speed it up real quick and then when I don't have that many left and I have more Things to do, I will come back here.
Yeah, look at this color, oh. Oh my god, I didn't realize how brilliant it was. I need to use this wow I love that color okay this one is almost sold out. I'm doing my best to squeeze it out the best I can, but when things like this are like this. a polygel model and I don't think I've ever made a video about this. I think I tried to film a video like twice and that's why this polygel doesn't exist anymore or I have to use it on a very long set. or something like that but at this point I think I only have about 10-15 left so we're in the home stretch how cool is this little mix that comes in so many different colors and types and it's so cool this one is like They spit on me.
I've done this pretty clean. I feel like I'm starting to get a little sticky now, but so far it's not too bad. I have a couple that I still need to open. It's interesting. It's like a silvery sheen with an opal appearance. one, I feel like the box never ends, like I keep putting my hand in and taking out more and more, don't worry if you see me with things on the edges like this, I'm cleaning it after each straight, okay, five, okay. four three two and one this is the last one, of course, it's pink for our last one, okay, it's not exactly the cleanest last one, but it works, so here we are, here's our nice little mix.
There's a lot going on here. I'm so excited to mix this look how exciting what color do you think it will be I think I know what color it will be but I hope it doesn't turn into that color we'll see how cool I'm so excited okay so believe it or not there was a tie and I didn't plan this. I swear, there are 100 polygels here, so a total of 100 polygels is so exciting. Now let's mix them and see what color they are. Okay, I'll try to keep Laurie here. so now it's time to mix them together oh, it's thick, okay, this is going to take quite a while, it looks pretty good right now, though doesn't it?
Oh, it's so much fun trying to pick it all up and smooth it out again. This is a large amount of polygel, it will take a while. I don't want streaks when I do my nails so I want it 100% blended so like I said I'll blend it for as long as I need. guys you can see this actually takes some strength let me do this and mix it and everything and I'll have you literally in a second okay and here's the color we ended up with it's like a muted lavender. Purple, I'm actually very happy with it.
I thought it would end up a gross greenish brown like a lot of them, but I'm really happy with this color and the little shimmer it has is really pretty. I am very excited. So what's going to happen is I'm going to take these nails off and then I'll come back and then we'll use this and make a set of nails with that, that's what I was able to scrape off and put in new. ramekin because the other one is a mess right now, if I need to get more out of this one I will, but you know, let's look at this one for help, so I'll see you guys second, ok, and I'm back nailless.
I recovered. I was trimming my cuticles, so let's take care of that. I'm going to use a couple more things besides our custom polygel, the rest of the things I'm basically going to use from this McCart pink polygel. kit so I like the top base coat, the slip solution and I'm going to use the clear one too because I have a little design in mind but I'm going to leave that aside so let's get started today. I'm going to use These long stiletto style nail tips I haven't used them in a long time so right before I do this I'm going to put them in a dehydrator real quick this is the nail nails one whatever when I grabbed them , ooh, that's how it was. more than I expected, okay, and then I'm going to measure them and stick them on my fingers.
These are not as long as these, but I don't think I have enough polygel to make these. long, I could be dead wrong, I could be dead wrong, but I really don't want to end up like you know, four-fifths of a set and run out of polygel and this is just the McCart glue, just pinch the sides of those. Sure okay, these are always just the boring parts, they do this in every video, so now I have my tips and I think I'm going to shape them into a coffin, so I'm just going to crop. On the extremes, I do this with just nail clippers most of the time, but you can do it with scissors or actually, you know, like a fake nail clipper.
I always need to get one of those and then I'll order it in a kit and then like that kit didn't come for something like that, then I'll just take this file and shape it a little bit and file just the top of these tips so that the polygel it will stick to it so here's what now I'm just trying to put a little bit of dehydrator on again just a personal preference I like to do as there can be some dust on the nail after filing it and stuff like that. Okay, now I'm going to take out the base coat and put it on the entire nail and on the tip.
I personally like to do a thick layer of the base coat because the base coat is soaked but Polly gel in general, some polygels are but most polygels file off which means they are much harder to remove , but what I like to do is file off as much of the polygel as possible and then soak my nails in acetone and usually with a sickly base coat it comes off a lot easier than if you did a really thin one, okay? So we might as well. I start with my thumb, so I have my little brushes, theBatchelor tool here and I'm going to take a little bit of this poly gel, so here's again what it looks like and I'm just going to take some like this and from there I'm going to put a nice little portion here and I should probably get my solution out, and then now I'm going to start spreading that around, it's working pretty well, it's not super sticky or anything, it actually works with the slider solution pretty easily, so what?
What I'm doing is I'm fading it, if you notice, I think I need a little more. I like how it has all the different sparkles, okay, so if you can see what it looks like, I've got it sorted. faded out towards the end because I want to put some of these pretty butterflies in there, they're a little hard to see just in the container, well, let's open them up and I'm going to put them in very specific places down here, try. Anyway, I don't want them to clump together too much, okay, we're just going to have to remove that one.
Okay, you know, this didn't work, so I'll take two. What I'm going to do is, I'm actually going to cure this before. Okay, let's cure this right, so now what I'm going to do is take my base layer again and I'm going to make a super thin layer here so the butterflies have something to stick to. Just put on butterflies, can't you see, yeah, you can see, okay? I think that's all I'm going to put in, that's all, so I'm going to cure it real quick again and let me take my clear poly gel, now this clear McCart. it's like the clearest poly gel i've ever found something i like to do sometimes i know a lot of people don't like it when i do it because they like to do it with a cuticle pusher sometimes it's a lot easier for me to smooth it out i just dip it in in the slip solution and I basically do the same thing as if it were a brush, but for me I just don't know, sometimes this goes a lot faster and here we have this little nail, so let's cure this and We'll move on to the others.
I know it doesn't look quite right right now, but it will show promise later, so I'm just going to put the base coat on these four nails so we can do it a little faster. You can do it one by one, you can do it all at once, just know that the base coat is sticky, so don't go, you know, pet your dog or do whatever with it now. I'll cure them if you're wondering. The reason I'm not curing on camera is because my lamp doesn't actually reach here. The cable is too short, so that's what I'm doing.
This is a fairly soft polygel. You could see me struggling to get some. The poly gels are there, they are little squeeze bottles, but it is actually very easy to work with. See what I mean about how sometimes the cuticle pusher is a lot easier? I don't know why, but just for me, you know if you're having trouble with polyester, you'll really try this way. Now I'm going to use the brush to blend it here at the bottom with a little bit of base coat again and pick up butterflies. I'm going to do each of the nails. the same thing, so I'm going to do each step on each nail at the same time, so I'm just going to put this purple on each nail, smooth it out and then cure it and then we'll do the butterflies on each nail, etc. so don't worry, in the end we'll see if they glow in the dark if they change color with temperature all that kind of stuff because you know how many formulas there are in this, okay, so it turns out that it would take a lot of poly gel to do that for so long time if you wanted to, but that's okay, this length is much more manageable for most people than just the base layer, just enough to stick on.
I'm not trying to do a thick layer or anything that I just want. so I can put the butterflies on and not have problems with it and enough so that they don't move every time I put deep clear or poly gel on the butterflies so they don't cure and we just cover with a little clear. I promise they will. They look better once they're filed, okay, I promise I'm just going to squeeze a little bit of clear right onto the nail, it's easier for me, boom, okay, so here are the clumpy nails, for now I'm just going to clean the top because it is sticky. and then we'll file them into nice, better shaped nails, so I actually didn't use as much as I thought, so I'm going to save this because we don't know if I'll ever need it. again, so yeah, now I'm going to start filing, okay, so here are the nails, all filed and shaped much better, what a great shape they have.
They turned out so well, so now I'm going to put on some rhinestones to have T and I. I could use these big ones but I'm not sure they'll go there and I'm going to use my McCart nail extension gel to do this, it's like a little squeegee. Actually, I'm almost out of these things, so what am I going to do? I'm going to take off the top layer too. I'm going to put a coat of this gel where I want the rhinestones and then I'm going to take my top coat and cover the entire nail, including the gel.
If the nail extension gel is sticky, so putting this top coat on top will ensure that it is not because it is not a white top coat. Well, actually what I'm going to do is use these tiny little rhinestones. It'll take me a while, but I think they'll look better and I think they'll be really pretty, so I'll try to make it easier on myself. I put these here and let's just add speed. Yes, it will take a while. In the meantime, but it will be worth it, here we go, now let me start this and it's time to do the rest.
It's been so long since I made rhinestones. Can you remember the last time I did that? I've missed them for a long time. I need to make them a lot more. I love the way cuticles look. These little ones are fine, so I just put a little bit of cuticle oil in here. They look best when they move so you can see them. butterflies. In fact, I love how they turned out. It turned out a much better color than I thought. I was expecting a sort of cloudy green-brown color, but I'm really happy that it ended up like this as a muted lilac purple.
Anyway, we have a couple of tests to run this first, let's see if it glows in the dark, okay, first see if they glow in the dark. I'll put them in the light because usually that will make them shine better if it has some light absorbed, oh my goodness. they shine, I didn't expect that and they really shine very well, I didn't think at all that I had enough of that in there for them to really shine like that oh wow, that's so cool, I'm so happy with it, okay, so now I made it on my kitchen, so let's see if they react to the temperature, they would be hot right now, so I'm going to stick my hand in the freezer.
I do not think they do. Thank you guys so much, watching this was a lot of fun. what to do I hope you liked the nails and the poly gel I mean I think it went pretty well I feel the butterflies added to the specks that you see in the poly gel if you want me to do this again but with my acrylic powder, make sure to give it I like this video and I hope to see you next time, bye.
