Border Patrol wanted to adopt 17 and 19 watches, but they wanted to be compatible with each other so they could swap their slides and barrels whenever they wanted between the frames, making it modular to a certain extent and that happened a few years ago, but eventually Glock decided to release this.

Amazing new design for the civilian market and completely changes the game in terms of handheld. I'm kidding in case you don't know, that means I'm kidding. Here is the Glock 19x. This pistol has a size 19 slide barrel recoil assembly and a size 17 grip, this pistol, a version of it was developed for a military contract to replace the M9 pistol, the m17 contract lost a Sig and now It's being sold on the civilian market, but it's missing a key feature the military wanted, which was a manual safety, so it's kind of a copy of the military contract test gun, not exactly what people have been claiming.

Okay, same 124 grain ball from Norma. time out of a Glock 19x that has a size 19 slide and a barrel that is a little shorter than the 17.

So what does that do to the Velocity 1062? Now they both have the shooter barrel, this doesn't have the 10.55 polygonal rifling, now I know. What you're going to say, oh Mac, you're manipulating the numbers, so let's reach into the box and throw out some of the Norma ammo and grab two random rounds and make a mess. Ok, two random rounds of Norma 1032 1040. ...two more random rounds with Norma out of the same 47 box. 1032 1047. So is there a big difference in speed? No, it just depends on what round you get and how warm it will be, but they are all in. the margin of error in terms of feet per second, so there's really nothing to be gained by having that slightly longer barrel than the 17.

A lot of people ask me how I can get involved in the firearms business in that particular community and what is one of the best ways to do that is to become a gunsmith, all the gunsmiths I know are overworked, it's a very good life, so if you want to become a gunsmith you should go to gunsmithing school or become a apprentice to an existing gunsmith but with modern weapons. The school is an accredited university that also works with veterans on the GI Bill, where you can go and get a degree from an accredited university in gunsmithing and then go out and start your own gunsmithing business, which I think is a great option again throughout my life as gunsmiths.

I think probably the best Glock on the market would be something like a g45 or a g19 or a Glock 19x because it has that full size grip frame, you have the extra ammunition capacity, it feels great in the shooter's hand, but you have that. Slightly shorter barrel and slide, making it a little more comfortable to carry concealed, especially if you do it inside the waistband, so I'm not impressed. What I would rather see is the Glock 46 and what the 46 is. It looks like the 47 externally. I can't really tell much difference, but it has a rotating barrel system and why did Glock develop that?

It was pretty much the same reason they developed the Glock 47. It was for a bid for a law enforcement contract in Germany they had. I originally wrote the tender to exclude Glocks for some reason, so Glock went and completely redesigned the gun, gave it a rotating barrel, and presented that for those tests, that's the gun I'd really like to see in the United States because ultimately change the basic operating mechanism of the gun and try to innovate, try to be a little different because this gun is really no different than the Glock they introduced over 30 years ago, it just has a shortened recoil spring, stop me now, that?

It's just a good gun for the amount of money it costs. you're going to pay for it so while Glock is sitting on their laurels doing a lot of nothing and you just know take out a gun that has one trigger pin and then they replaced the pistols with the two trigger pins, but the early Glocks just they had a trigger pin, but then some Glocks had finger grooves, which was an improvement over the Perfection, but then later Glocks got rid of the finger grooves.

The ship is sinking as they lose market share to other companies and their lack of innovation means we will ultimately catch up with them now. I know I'm going to get trashed by the people at Glock in the comments section, who I love to criticize. No Glock, I love Glock, it is one of the best defensive pistols on the market, has fewer moving parts than most other pistols out there, extremely reliable, I have never had a Glock that gave me problems and they are excellent pistols, but Glock needs to wake up. stand up and become competitive because they will ultimately lose market share to competitors while they sit back and make the same gun over and over again for decades.

If Glock wanted to be competitive with companies like Shadow Systems, who are outside of Glock these days, they would do it. something like the dr920p you see here, this gun has a long, short dust cover and a slide 19 recoil system and a very effective offset which is on the end of the gun. A very interesting design. This gun shoots extremely flat and has several different components. which are compatible with Glock pistols, so you can put aftermarket triggers like that on this pistol that is designed for Glocks, but this is just an amazing competition style pistol, it just shoots incredibly well, shoots extremely flat now Glock has made sliding cuts and ports. in the barrel and such in the past I haven't found them to be as effective as this particular gun in terms of taming recoil and shooting flat, so it would be interesting to see Glock at least try to compete with its competitors at this point.

It's a Zev thing that came into the shop and this one has a 34 length barrel and slide so it's longer than the 17 but it has a 17 blowback system so it's the same principle using the recoil system of a shorter slide and frame. Glock pistol series design, so how does this thing shoot foreigners? Well, besides this slap on the trigger, shoot. I don't have a 34 here to compare it to, but the recoil is relatively muted. Now this thing has a lot of rays. Cuts in the slide so the reciprocating mass is seriously reduced, but, yeah, not sure why I included this in the video.

It's great. The Glock 47 is a quality pistol. Without a doubt, it is a good defensive hand weapon. It will probably work. For just a good carry gun, we haven't extensively tested the shorter recoil system, but that recoil system has been used on the Glock 19 for how many years, so it probably works fine. I have no problem. again with Glock as a company in terms of quality in terms of the functionality of their guns, that's all Top Notch and they set the bar very high decades ago and 30 years later, companies are still trying to surpass Glock and some of them do.

They are and that is. The reality is that Glock again stagnates and doesn't really do anything, they just keep dragging those chairs around.Titanic cover as I mentioned before, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the Glock is an exceptional pistol. The Glock 47 is a quality pistol right out of the box, no lubrication, no nothing, the gun just works and that's what I expected from Glock. I don't believe in break-in periods for defensive pistols. I think that's shoddy manufacturing in my opinion and Glock never suffered from that again. Shoot them right out of the box and they work great. You can abuse them. Treat them like garbage and they seem to work. They are kind of the AK of the firearms world, so for everyone who says I just hate Glock, no. No, I'm trying to force them to do something innovative because they have the capability they certainly have, they certainly have the R&D budget, so use it, get out of your comfort zone and try something a little different, and I'm not.

Speaking of making a Glock AR-15, stop copying other people's work and start becoming those innovators you once were, that's my advice for Glock anyway. It's worth exactly what they paid for it.
