. What we have here, the Mandel, you know they take the

coin

that they got. one hole onwards and put that in the Mandel after you've analyzed it and what do you do, take your nylon hammer and start hitting this thing, you could put that thing where you need it, uh, this is no longer necessary, it's not necessary either. this nylon hammer, another method I had seen is the anal, the coin, put it in the chuck, take your block of hard wood here and go ahead, turn the piece upside down and start hitting it, so that's another method, This method no longer exists. it is also necessary.

I have seen people. I was one of them too several months ago using a piece of PVC pipe on the chuck and go ahead and take that thing down. It works, but any time you have metal on metal you are going to mess up the delicate

detail

s on the inside of the coin every time you use any of these processes. Finally, a method I discovered recently. Adam M. Skinny had this in the video series of him taking a dapping block and taking a block. he coin finds the correct hole by using a Dap and placing it in his Arbor vise and pushing it down.

The method works, however, again, as long as you have metal on metal, you may have a chance of messing up the delicate

s of the coin, so what's the solution? but you want one of these or actually a set of these. These are balls containing delin resin in the form of a plastic polymer. The beautiful thing about this is that when you go ahead and start

ing the coin, you're not going to mess up any of the delicate details of the coin it's going to keep all the details because it's not metal on metal so what I'm going to do here is my press Slightly modified one-ton Harbor Freight Arbor.

I have a Doan block. I'm going to go ahead and take my uh half dollar here is a JFK half dooll and I'm going to go ahead and use the uh I'm going to go with the 5/8 in delin resin bea

ball I'm going to go ahead and make sure that the coin is centered on the domed block and I'm going to put the ball right on top of it, so if you can see that just resting it right on top I'm going to go ahead and make sure that it's level and that the coin is in exactly the right hole.

I'm going to go ahead and put it in the spindle press and in a nice, even motion I'm going to go ahead and just press this down and that's it, just like you guys. I can see, I don't know if you can grasp that, but no detail on the inside of this coin has been scratched, marred or damaged at all. It's practically perfect after you've made your first initial pass, then you can move on to a larger size. ball bearing and you can find an appropriately sized hole and when that doesn't work one of the things I use is reducing dyes or reducing dyes but again guys this is the easiest way the most effective way to go Go ahead and start.

the coin and as you can see it took me about 15 seconds to get the coin that far without having to do it.
