2024

video you will have a lot of similar features from previous years models, I think the last one. one I looked at was a 2020, so a lot of it stayed the same, but if you're shopping for a 2020 to 2024 Subaru Outback and want to know everything there is to know about

your

vehicle, you definitely want to watch this video and learn. all these hidden features and before leaving negative feedback let me know that you already know all these features.

Keep in mind that not everyone knows about them and some people are choosing a 2024 app package as their first Outback and need to know about these features. Also, give

your

self a thumbs up and a big gold star, whatever you want to do, but before you leave that negative comment, keep in mind that people are just trying to learn what your vehicle has to offer. Let's start with fool number one. If we go to the settings and you scroll to the bottom, almost to the bottom, you have two different list options, folks, if you're really bad at remembering the old anniversary and you need to put it somewhere else, just an extra spot to remind you that you can put it here on your 2024 Subaru Outback, there's a list of anniversaries, so if we go in here, add an anniversary here, you can type in the names that you need to remember multiple anniversaries, you have more trouble, but let's go ahead and put in uh Jane and then you can enter the date, let's make it May 10.

your outback has a secret 2024...

You now have a complete list of your anniversaries saved. You can also log in and add birthdays. If you need to remember everyone's birthdays, you can add everything. there in a nice text based list, so it's just a little

secret

thing that you may or may not have known about, but if you're really bad at remembering anniversaries, birthdays, you can keep them in your car now, for number two, we have to go down. to the wireless charging pad area and the

secret

feature is that if you have a card, let's say a Home Depot gift card, which you really shouldn't lose, but you should keep it somewhere and you drop it on the pad area wireless charging.

It will be stored there permanently next to your car because you will never be able to get it out of there again. Joke, guy number two is up here and he's the driver focused distraction mitigation system, so this will watch your creepy face, let you know if you're not paying attention to the road for too long, that's good in itself same, but my favorite feature is that it can scan your face and then it will recognize drivers when they come in, so if you have a family situation where you have kids and a wife or a husband and you want to put everyone's faces here so that each time a different driver comes in automatically adjust the things you can do so all you have to do is come in here and register a new user so I'm going to give one here I'm going to adjust my seat I'm going to put it all the way up so achieve a dramatic effect here all the way up so that my knees are crispy and then I'm going to move this mirror all the way up.

I'm going to press set and then I'm going to look forward until I hear a beep, which I just did. I just entered my name and then I'll choose an icon. Let's do the same. footprint and then if I move my seat all the way back and move the mirror down a little bit, turn off the car, get out, then I'll come back to get in the car and drive. I will sit. Says hello Lou. I don't even start the car, it's sliding my seat all the way up, it's already adjusting my mirrors as you can see here and it's going to make my knees creak again, yeah, it's super comfortable.
I love this driving position, but I'm ready to go and then I can start the vehicle, but I actually can't because I can't hit the brake because my knee is stuck, so you know, you get the point, now number three is here in the back seats. A couple of things you may not have noticed: you can lower the rear seats completely by pressing this button at the top, it's nice and camouflaged, you may not have even seen it, but boom, just press it to make the seats drop . Additionally, you have a small lever on the right. here it's a little bit hidden behind the seat belt, but you can pull this and you can tilt the second row seats back in different positions, it's really nice, so if you don't want to sit completely upright, you'll want to lean back a little bit.
Kinda boom, you can do it right there, so a really awesome feature that some new owners may not know about is that you can program a secret code into your liftgate so you can access it without needing the key fob. Now this requires a bit of setup. and I'm going to show you how to do it right now, it's a little complicated but once you do it you should be ready to do a couple of things, one of them would be to disable the proximity sensor by pressing the button inside the cockpit. just temporarily while we do this setup and you're going to need the keychain for the initial setup so make sure you have it so what you're going to want to do is a little black plastic button right here under you.
You'll want to hold down the lock button on the remote, press and hold the button below it and then you'll have to wait until it starts ringing, which is hard to hear, but it's okay, I can hear it ringing back here, so After doing that, you have 30 seconds to press the unlock button on the key fob, so we'll go ahead and do that to unlock it now. Now we're going to enter a five-digit PIN by pressing buttons to correlate with the numbers, so I'll just do one, two, three, two, one, so one, wait for the beep, two, wait for the beep, three, two, one, then it starts beeping again, so let's enter it again, one, two, one there and it went ahead and unlocked, that's how you know the pin was entered successfully, so now let's try this, so what we can to do is go ahead and lock the vehicle and obviously if I unlock it here it will use the remote key to unlock so it won't work properly. but what we have to do is disable the remote control temporarily, so this is kind of an additional hidden feature.
This is putting the remote control into sleep mode. So the way to do it is to press and hold the lock button and then tap unlock. button twice a little light flashes at the top and now the key fob is disabled as you can see it's here and it's not unlocking it so we know the key fob is now in sleep mode so let's go ahead and enter our password. we're just going to walk up and just press one, two, one, two, three, two, one arm and interestingly enough, it doesn't actually unlock the liftgate, as you can see here, it's not unlocked, but what it does unlock is the door. major. you can get in and then you can unlock and then you can open the back door.
It's a bit strange. I know I've gotten a lot of feedback about how much people love this feature. It's a nice precautionary feature. It's a nice convenience feature. When purchasing a new Outback, definitely set your secret code and then for our final hidden feature, this one has pissed off a lot of people in the past and I get it. Safety is the number one priority when operating a vehicle of any type, but as you may have heard in the background since I've been talking this whole time, the vehicle is not moving, the vehicle is not even on and that buzzer is going off. going crazy.
Subarus had the most annoying seat belt charms and it's not even close and you can actually disable them in a complicated way, but it works, so here's what you're going to do: You're going to press the start button twice to put it in mode. full fixture where the gauges actually swing, so one, two, it all gets going. You're going to take your seat belt, you're going to press the red button here on your locking mechanism and you're going to insert the seat belt 20 times in and out. here we go one two three eighteen nineteen twenty it's okay you won't know it's disabled until you start driving and maybe your seat belt hasn't been put on in the first I don't know six and a half milliseconds of driving and luckily you won't hear any chime, Sometimes it takes up to three tries, sometimes more, so be patient.
I know it's annoying, but you can turn it off. Disclaimer here, please always wear your seat belt, wear your seat belt, it's better, but in a situation like mine. I'm right here where you're sitting and the doorbell rings over and over again. At least you can have the option to disable it, and once you disable it, it will remain disabled until the battery is removed from the vehicle. and put it back so if you ever want to reset it this is how you can do it or if you ever replace the battery and it resets that's why thank you so much for watching guys leave a like on the video if you like I loved it, tell me.
