Pushing the Traxxas Slash VXL 2wd w/ OBA!

What's up guys, it's the weekend again and as usual we're taking a break from our normal hobby of flying and doing some surface hobbies, so Austin, what are you working on here? I am building a professional vacuum trainer from the Pro line. from pro life I just received a bunch of electronic components, you are in the thick of this, think about it, I have an ESC and a castle motor. I've got my battery, I've got a battery ready to go, so that's another video for another day. Those of you who are familiar with the Proline MT, let us know if you have any idea when that truck will be ready to go because it will be nice today, we have a different type of truck and you may recognize this from a previous flight test. today's video we have the Traxxas v XL two wheel drive TSM oba RTR no that's real dude.

I'm serious, it's the Traxxas v XL two wheel drive OB atsm RTR. There's a link below, you can see it, but it's cool. Because Traxxas Slash is near and dear to my heart, this was a game changer when it came out now, this came out over 10 years ago, but at the time it was truly a game changer. It didn't really look anything like short course trucks before and now, from what I understand, it's like a Hobby staple. Now this is a little bit of a different animal because this is the V XL and I don't know what the V XL is. means, but all I know is that it's very, very fast.

Anything v XL says regarding runways means it's incredibly fast, and as you guys saw in the flight test video, we haven't been easy on this one. We've been putting this through its paces, we've had it for several months, probably four or five months, and it's held up pretty well for the most part. TSM stands for Traxxas Stability Management. I think something like this is basically a solution. -on-board computer that helps you keep the steering straight because not only is it very, very, very fast, but it also has two-wheel drive and with all that power going to the rear wheels, there is a good chance that you will just turn and so on the TSM the Trax is stability control, it really helps you keep a straight line, especially when you're on loose surfaces like dirt like that.

OPA stands for onboard audio and what you have here is you have two speakers that are actually connected directly. to the plastic body and it somehow resonates the audio sounds in that body, so before I talk more about that, let me show you how it sounds here, this will be something raw, unedited, as you can see, it's quite loud. It's even a little scary, like you're not expecting it, the cool thing is that you have this switch here, so when you give it a little bit of throttle, what you can do is you press this switch here and now it's like the car is on. neutral so you can wrap the engine, that's pretty cool, so without further ado, I like it.

I said we've been using each other for a few months. I've selfishly had it in my house and been driving it. pretty much Austin hasn't had the pleasure of experiencing this in both 2 and 3 as much as I have, so we'll take it outside and get it going to see how Austin can do it. The damn monster is excellent, this is it. It's a great vehicle here, it will have more than enough speed, especially if you are in a neighborhood. I live in a residential area, as you can see, it's very noisy, but I've run it a lot in my house, so I have a lot of neighbors and stuff. like that and I'll pull the plug on it because of that because a couple of times I tried it in my neighborhood, literally, like people look out their windows and it sounds like a real truck, like running down the road, it's got a ramp. set up here, wow, my goodness, I said keep it in one piece, okay, do it again, it's still good. I know a lot of guys race and they are great for racing but if you are looking for a good all-around truck that is they are good for running, jumping, hitting the

I say this because it legitimately is a challenge like this.
