My Overland Interior Setup & Why - Navigation, Magnetic Mounts, Comms, Lighting, & More

It's very important, but this is already kind of a blind spot anyway, so it's not the worst, um, it's okay, it's Onyx off-road, I love it, it's the best. Honestly, I mean that's to some extent finding off-road trails, but this right here is, it controls my lights like I said and my

navigation

in the city, so this is the Garmin tread um it has a

magnetic

back here this is all waterproof I'm pretty sure you can submerge it it's really for the sides um that's the design um I'll talk about the stand just for a second this is the stand it comes with and it comes with a ball adapter and I I had a short arm for a RAM mount and all I did was drill a little hole in the face of this and, uh, this is super super solid and I mean, it looks very clean.

I have the cable running through here, under the dash, to the battery and stuff, so it's cool, I love the mount. and it latches in here with a nice satisfying click like that and obviously you can also say the cool thing is you can pick this thing up and I can be in my tent controlling my lights and stuff so I'll show you that in a second but I have a front camera which is also Garmin, it's Bluetooth wireless, so there it is, it's wireless, really easy to use. I have some problems with her, maybe I'll talk about it later.

I don't know, right? Here I put this button right there, this controls all of my lights, so let's walk around and I'll show you. I actually have this. I showed this to you guys in an update video where I made a bunch of new modifications to the truck, but here it is again for those who haven't seen it, so the rock lights can be seen, they just came on underneath, underneath from the back, everything from here Prowlers, those are these lights over there, super cool ditch lights, um, light bar, um, let's see, me too. Is that the good thing about this?

You can dim it if you want so it's completely dim and completely bright and then I have Chase taillights. I know this is an inside video, so I'll be quick, but Chase butt and then the other one. The cool thing you can do is program strobes, like I said you can do dimming too, but here are the Prowler strobes, this is very difficult if on the one hand it's some kind of big ditch, the ditch strobes are super cool, so anyway that's the Garmin tread and then you also have the Garmin uses a little terminal system inside the engine bay and I love it guys so that's basically it with the dash

Alright, another thing you probably can't. Look, I have a video about Communications. I highly recommend you watch it if you want to know what my philosophy is on portable devices and wired radio. I use both, both are very important anyway. I have a standard little mic stand that comes with a lot of these gmrs radios, the hard mount ones for the mic to sit on, obviously, I took that one off and super glued the magnet on the back, so I took this part off. and I stuck it on the back of this so I can put it in my pants if I want on my belt and I can go down the trail and see someone you know and they can hear it through their radio, so this is just lives. up there for when I need, yeah, to be mobile, right, that's what it's for, so the other interesting thing is um, oh, actually I lied to you.

I still have this little microphone stand there, duh, that's the point, that's the point. I'm going to show you this microphone that I can put there if I want, so if I do, I don't know if I just want it in a new location, so okay, that's basically the dashboard and everything up here. I want to show you a couple of little things, um, let me get a better light, sorry, I'm fighting a light, just come out, um, I have this little TRD floor cover that I can't get, this little one is

. little coin holder I got it from Tacoma Beast um, the other thing I have is a little big, I don't even know about the cup holder.

I forget the brand yeah I don't remember but it basically allows you to hold big mugs and it's not even tight now because I'm dumb um a couple

things on the outside I have this little one I think it's a little Molly 511 charger holder um on the that I put some pins and multi tools and stuff this is my carry gun uh I have my carry license it's a Sig p365x with a flashlight a lot of good stuff in there um yeah and then uh obviously the car seat screams obviously the car seat so I'm sure I probably opened a big can of worms of questions, but that's the point of making all these videos uh, if I left something out, let me know.

Actually, this is here. I think these are Husky mats, um, yeah, husky. I love these mats. I took them out at the car wash, rinsed them and that was it. Wow super easy, I guess the last thing, um, this is the high boost, so that antenna is there, so I made a video about that too, it's a cell booster that I have, it's a terrible one I have here with my Midland. Radio, so that's the high boost there in Midland, all the wiring out of sight looks very clean, but not very clean when you throw your license and registration material in here, but yeah, that's it guys, I love it keep the

I don't really care that much about the exterior, I mean, I definitely clean the exterior on every trip, after every trip, pretty immediately, but the

I like to keep really clean because this is my daily life.
