2 Valentine's Day

Hello everyone, welcome back to my craft room. If you are new to my craft room, welcome today. I'm working on a couple of Valentine's Day decorations. I picked up a lot of things at Dollar Tree when they came out and I wasn't sure what. I was going to do it with something so I'm trying to use the things I have just to make a couple of cute decorations for Valentine's Day. I picked up one of the es, just a plane, you know, like the MDF material. sign of love and I have some jute rope and they have these little hooks on the back so I went ahead and painted that red right on the back and then I did all the sides red so you need some kind of little brush. and then I used a little bit of this like your old smart craft paint and it only took one coat.

This thing takes paint really well, so I painted it and then I wasn't sure, even when I bought this, I didn't know what it was. I'm going to do with this, so I was thinking about it and then I saw this nice paper that I had, you know, a twelve by twelve pad of paper that I bought at Michaels, so I used a little bit of that and everything you're going to do is just put this. face down on your paper, turn your love sign upside down and then just go around all the edges with a pen or pencil or something and then carefully cut it out, so we went ahead and did that to try to save a little time here. because he knows how to let the paint dry and stuff, but I think everyone has the idea of ​​how to put paint on it, so let them cut it out and then you end up with your cute little love sign and that will fit in there. well, then I'm going to use.

You could use Mod Podge if you wanted. I don't know how well it would stick. I have never used it as a glue, but it says you can use it as a glue or finish, but. I picked up some tacky glue and put saline solution on it and I'm going to use it here with a sponge brush and I actually wet the brush a little bit and then squeeze it out with a paper towel, it helps us too. spread a little better, so all I'm going to do is go around this thing and put a bunch of glue on it and hopefully I can spread it fast enough here so it doesn't dry out, that's my theory. take this and spread it all over and we have a hair there, let's go and then you can just clean up the edges.

You don't even have to be careful with this. I just want to do it very quickly so I can put the newspaper in there and I don't want it to be too thick your neighbor kids are playing outside. I think they're homeschooled, so it must be playtime. Well, let's put this here. I just want to make sure we have him in the ED. along the edge really well so it doesn't come off, okay, let me send this a little bit more, okay, that should be good, don't we pour water here and then you're just going to take a piece of paper? and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, I'm going to line this up right, no, that's pretty easy and that's it, that's all you have to do for this part and I'm going to look around with a paper towel here, just clean these edges where the glue shows. here and if you have a little bit left there, it doesn't really matter because it dries out, don't leave it too much on the outside of my paper here, which I just did, but it's okay, I think I have most of it.

Outside of that, it wasn't so bad now, if you wanted to change this, you could always use a nice red ribbon, you know, or something you have, of course. I love using these little gem strips that have the self-adhesive gem. strips from the Dollar Tree and I'm just going to place them around the deposit where the heart is cut because I don't want to make it too shiny. I mean, you can add it to others if you want. I like these things. because they are all connected and it bends very easily, so you can make a pretty shape with it even if your kids have fun.

I don't know if you can hear them screaming, it's like ten degrees outside, but you know, the kids can't. I don't care about the big snow storm we were supposed to have, it only turned into two inches and a bunch of sleet and rain, which is fine by me because I didn't have to shovel anything the next day, it practically melted, but the kids are having a good time and more here, of course, I don't want to say exactly how I want, let me just say yeah, that looks good, okay, we'll add that last little one there or a little Jam together on top, but It's there, it was this little project and I'm going to hang it in my living room and I want to do something with this little vase that I had, but I also didn't know what I wanted to do because I'll show you my dilemma here, they have these really pretty hearts, so I was going I just put maybe some red gems in there, but then the red hearts disappear and then I thought maybe I'd be putting like a piece of white paper. at that point you can't see the little white hearts disappear, so what I'm going to do is take a piece of cardstock, just your 8 by 11 cardstock, and cut it out so you know the right size here and I.

I'm going to use this as a little insert here, put it in there and get it the size I want and there's a little piece of tape on the top. You won't see this once you place your flowers there. I just couldn't find a way to make this look really pretty and if you just put the flowers and that you only see the stems and you don't even see the hearts anymore so I thought a little pink would work. shows the white still and the little red one and then of course we need a little bit of glitter on this and make sure my papers stick well here on my little love sign here we go so I bought some of the diamond wrappers from the Dollar Tree.

It only has three rows of diamonds, it's in this little spider web and there's nine feet in these scrolls and they're usually in the floral department, if you're lucky enough to find them, sometimes they have a ton of them. Sometimes you can't find them for months, but I cut two rows or two of these, you know the length, so they go around my face and I'm going to hot glue one row on top, and the other thing. What you also have to do with these things is that they have these little things that stick on the edges and it looks a lot neater if you take the time to cut them out.

I thought I got most of them out, but I missed a few. so anyway I'm going to put one down here at the bottom I'm going to use my table here as my guide like I said these are just a couple of quick and easy Valentine's Day decorations to make and always have like these pretty vases and stuff at the Dollar Tree, even if you can't find the one with the hearts, you can always put some paper like I used on the love sign and roll it up on a regular base and put it inside and you'll have a Valentine's base . okay, come on, get in the way, there we go, just stick my end down here, I want to get there pretty good, you can't really see where it's okay, I had it, even you couldn't see where it means, here we go everyone.

Okay, and then I'm going to put another row right around the top here and there's like a little lip there, you'll see. I don't know if you can see it on the camera and you can use it as a guide. around the top, nice and direct, I hope that's my hope. I hope they get some of the pretty color of this wrapped diamond for Easter and stuff because I don't really have any of those colors anymore. I used them all and I don't have them. I've actually seen them because I have glue on all my fingers.

I haven't seen them since last year, but they had red and green and I forgot what other colors they had. I think it's purple. I don't really wear purple much. Should If I haven't glued it down it's going to come off yeah flip my papers that slide back so that's what I'm doing with my little vase here and then I just have some flowers that I had left over actually some of they do not. I even have them all here, but I put three bunches together, there are some rosebuds and some open roses and then they had these cute little hearts.

I think I've had a couple more of these here, but I once used them for something else. I wanted to use them and I just glued them all together once I got them to the height I wanted with some floral tape and then folded the bottom. Even these aren't really a hassle to try to cut. Out because they're really thick and I just don't have the information, so I just fold them and it also holds them together a little better, so that's what a paperback is there, let's go okay, so I'm.
