Today I was reading this article from a doctor in Psychology. He was talking about personality versus character. He says that personality traits are often hereditary if. If you gathered the whole family in one room, there would be some similarities because they were raised in the same culture, in the same home and as a result of that, we have similar personalities, but if the people in that family could talk, they would tell you that we have personalities. similar but we have differences in our character. Yes, we just survived Thanksgiving, where we had a similar personality, as long as we could talk about one thing.

They were fine, but when we start talking about mental health or politics and what is important to us now we are getting into some fundamentals of character and as a result of that there can be some division not based on personality but on the personality of the character, they say that the changes are very easily you could be in a room with someone and think that they don't talk much and then you have them alone and they awaken their personality, they release their personality because in this room I couldn't be myself, but now I'm here and I can release my personality, but the character is not like that.

The character does not change depending on the room you are in. The character is the same regardless of where you put him, because the character is not rooted in likability. I have to see your character. I went for the personality before it led me to a dead end.

I had to choose differently and when I decided to choose differently I began to build friendships based on character. I started hiring. based on the character I need to know who you are and I am patient enough to wait and see your character. I'm not desperate enough to fall in love with your personality and miss the reality of who you are. I will hold my heart back I will hold my money because I want to understand if you are responsible if you have work ethic if you are faithful your character matters and in a world where you are celebrated for being a church with character I want to encourage you to still dig deeper into having character because you can have a amazing personality, you can have hundreds of followers, you could be the most popular in the world, but if you have no character, God can't trust you just because someone has a crowd, it doesn't mean they have any power because power is based on trust and confidence can only come from character and character is when you have integrity you say what you do you do what you say you're going to do if I say it I'm going to show up and I'm I'm going to stand in the moment I'm going to see it through the character It's a little old school.

I admit it because we have a transactional generation, but at the end of the day character is the only thing that will stand the test of time my parents have been together for 40 years I used to think it was because they were so in love I used to think it was because they just They saw the sun and the stars shining in each other's eyes now I realized they had the kind of character That said, I got engaged 40 years ago and because I got engaged 40 years ago I'm not going to change my mind just because things they get difficult.
