Mar 22, 2024

You see on the screen that I just circled it in green, this is what the youversion app looks like. Okay, now I don't know how to remove this and then here is the verse of the day found in Romans 1 verse 16. So I'm going to go ahead and read it and when I'm done I'll click outside of the image where it is so you guys can see it. , maybe I should leave it like this so you guys can see it. where are we if you tuned into the middle of the video or something, then it says: I am not

ashamed

of the

gospel

because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew and then to the Gentile, so this is Paul writing to the Romans, that's why I mean with a book called Romans, so once you see there, come on, there's the picture, oh, and you can actually see it at the top, which is amazing.

More Interesting Facts About,

romans 1 16 we are not ashamed of the gospel...

It's like amazing histograms, I really like to intensify it, so I might leave it there so you guys can see and maybe squint a little bit so you can see where we are in the middle eight, so yeah, Paul was. As he writes this to the Romans, it's the first chapter and he begins the whole chapter, but more or less like he did in the book of Philippians, which is like his usual format, like greetings. I want you to know that apparently it is Pablo who is writing to you. the church is each other, he loves each other very much, he's listening to a port that they're doing, but the things of the Lord the way they're supposed to, they're really living their faith and he's like, yeah, you know, I want to go see you soon. and hopefully, you know he's like, hopefully, that happens and then the verse and 16 this verse that we talked about on the first day 16 and he just squeezed it in there in the greetings of him.

I think it's amazing because again we even see in the greetings that Paul makes or he knows about these to the Romans just just amazing truths the truth has so much depth, you know, and yeah, that's where the verse for day is, so let's go ahead and read it and take it apart a little bit and I'm going to pull out my little phone because I'm like I'm using the Bible Gateway website and it's got a lot of content here as far as what they're called comments and all that, so I think it's awesome. have it and this one I'm using is from the Ligonier Ministries Reformation Study Bible, so yeah, let's talk about it.
romans 1 16 we are not ashamed of the gospel
The first part of the verses says: I am not

ashamed

of the

gospel

because it is the power. of God who brings salvation to everyone who believes, so I love it, he says I'm not ashamed of the gospel and this is something that Paul expresses to you and it's something that we see in his life, he's not ashamed at all because, um, Just your audacity, okay. the fact that he left like he left his hometown and was pretty much a first missionary that actually went out and preached the gospel to the nations and to other, you know, other towns and other cities around him, very boldly here saying: "I am not ashamed and seeing the comment that I have in front of me says about that phrase I am not ashamed of the gospel he says although the gospel is madness or like nonsense for the culture Paul sees his message as divine wisdom and this is so It is true because yes, even today, when we try to preach the gospel and not just the gospel itself, but the gospel should really transcend everything we see, what we do, the way we think, the things we do, with the things that we don't do things that we avoid things that you know even in the culture that we're in now the gospel should really take over our minds and you should really see it in the way that we live our lives that we're Christians so it could be. that maybe they don't look down on you but they look down on you because of the gospel because you're a Christian, but in your life and the things that you do every day people see it and people look down on it, people don't understand it. that people question it and, in essence, if you are a Christian, you are really living your faith, they are rejecting the gospel and rejecting Christ, you know, and this if Paul said here, you know this message of the gospel is not a message of How do I say this?
It's a message of hope, but for you to understand the message of hope, you understand, you need to understand to receive the bad news, as if the good news is the gospel, and we say, oh, it's the good news, but you don't. You won't understand the good news until you understand the bad news and the bad news is that you know that we are sinners, that we have a one-way ticket, you know, to go straight to hell, which is where the wrath of God is, and if we don't Understand that we are sinners and if we do not understand that we need God then we will not show you the real truth and obviously the world that you know denies Jesus, the world does not accept Christ, it did not accept Christ, so they were not going to accept us and the truths and the message we portray.
Sorry, I just got kicked off the video like it was my life. I don't know why, but anyway our message is nonsense to the world. It's a silly thing to say. you are a sinner you need a Savior you will go to hell if you don't have Jesus it is nonsense people don't understand it and it doesn't fit with our culture so here it says that although the gospel is nonsense, you would have taken care of the culture Paul sees his message as divine wisdom and is not and is not ashamed of God's Way of salvation.
Okay, this is something that is for everyone, this truth is that everyone knows it and the reason why we should not be a simple thing is that we all need it, we all have this cancer called sin and we all need salvation, it is well, and we should not be ashamed as Paul was. He didn't know he held the key to letting people really know why they were there. Here, how can they obtain salvation, you know how to diagnose them as sinners and this is true and divine and that is why it says I am not ashamed of that although it goes against what the culture of the States is and what the culture says that I am not ashamed. of it and that is something that even now in 2018 we have to agree that the gospel must transcend our thinking and it must change the way we act, the way we speak, the things we do, the things we do . don't do it and that's why you know we have to stand firm, you know people aren't going to agree with it and that's okay because we're not going to do it, you know I'm saying pander to them or do this because it's the right thing to do. that God has called us to do, we are his plan and his church and if we don't proclaim his truth, if I will, the rocks will, so this is something that has to go forward and deliver to us even now in 2018 to not be. ashamed of the gospel let's see why she continued saying hey I'm not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes worth that power is something that only God can make worth the regenerative life -The changing impact of the word of the gospel through the Holy Spirit is essential because of humanity's bondage to sin and Satan and weakness and spiritually allowing an account of sin, which means we are dead in our sins, it is okay and e.g.
Let's take someone who was dead. For example, I am a nurse and I worked in the hospital for a while and there were times when my patients died right there in the bed. I was an ink nurse so I work with babies and unfortunately some did given their status in the Medical State, good guy, and what would we do as professionals who go in there and do things like compressions and we would give them support, like respiratory , but all we would get is, you know, how did you see movies like that? paddles that you like and you like to restart them, yes, we would have those machines to restart his heart and this had to be powerful, because essentially this patient was dead on the table and we needed something that is very, very powerful, like zap. to bring them back to life to really like, you know, restart their heart and that's the power of the gospel, you know, the gospel is you know those two lollipops that you go and give to someone that you don't seem to bring. back and the Holy Spirit is the one who does the work to bring them back because they are spiritually dead to regenerate them and bring them to life, that is why it is so important for us not Rashmi because that is the power that is like for example, I being I'm ashamed of those paddles, if my patient is dying, you know, I shouldn't care what they care about, what about the paddles, you know the machine.
I should say, hey, listen, this is going to revive you, so you know. I don't care about your opinion, I'm going to revive you right now and that should be it for us, shouldn't you be ashamed of this power because it is ultimately used to regenerate you spiritually and bring you to Christ again? not be ashamed of the gospel because it is the power, it is good of God, it says that the power of God brings salvation to everyone who believes it is good and simply focusing on that word believes it is good, accessible salvation is undeserved but not required universally enjoy faith.
That's why not everyone is going to believe, not everyone is going to believe in the gospel and that's why this power is so amazing because it is given to those who believe. You know I'm saying you need faith because to me in the city he would be sitting here. and tell you that you know that you are a sinner and that you need Jesus, that's how I say this like we can't physically see God, we can't see him, it's all by faith and that's how you know us, really understanding that God speaks. to our spirit and I don't know, just leaning in and we really like to hear that and make it loud because we don't physically see it and we can touch it, sometimes we can, a lot of times, we can't hear it audibly.
You know, sometimes people hear God audibly. I've never heard God audibly, but that's why it takes faith because this is something that goes against everything we're taught, everything we're taught in society, what we see, that's why I need a lot of faith. faith and this salvation generating power is only offered to everyone, but it is only for those who believe and I mean, that area is going to believe, so again we should not be ashamed because it is salvation for humans. to ask sinners and the last thing it says here and 18 again because I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is a power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes and then Paul says first to the Jew then to the Gentile and I really is not very different from what that means is that he is not focusing only on the Jews and not on the Gentiles.
The reason is because in his ministry he went to the synagogues, he went to the meetings of the religious. leaders and they were all Jewish people, you know, in essence Jesus came, he was the Promised One for the Jewish people first because they were God's people, they were God's chosen people, so that way to them first because they were those who you know that the Lord Jesus came from the sense of his lineage, you know, so, the son of Adam is a kind of David, that's where they were waiting for the promised Messiah through that lineage through that line and that's why it's like for the Jews first because this is They were promised first now that they are better than us, no, they are not better than the Gentiles, but that's who it was directed at in that sense, like they knew, they knew about the Messiah, They knew he would come as prophets.
He told the Jewish nation, hey, he is coming, your Messiah is coming, a king is coming who will redeem all the people you know, he will redeem God's people for himself, that's why he tells the Jews first because he was going to say. first because you know the message was to and for the Gentiles, okay because we know when Jesus came, because the Jews you know didn't accept Christ and didn't look like a messiah, but I'm saying other people who aren't Jewish did. accept Jesus, so yes, the Jews, but also the Gentiles, the love of God and the gods, you know, salvation is offered to all people, not only the Jews eat, I say, but also the Greeks and the Romans and all those people who make up the Gentiles. that was just one verse in Romans, the book of Romans is a book that has a love-hate relationship with that book because I love it because it has so much meat, it has so much truth, but it's not that I hate it, but it's just that it's full of meaning as if it could.
I remember reading this book. It took me about six months to read just the book of Romans. There's so much there and it's not that it's exhausting now that it's a pain, but it's a little frustrating because. You're like I'm still on Chapter One, it's been like a month what's going on and that's why you feel like you're not going anywhere, but you really are because there's so much truth in every chapter and every verse, so for that. which is why you know the book of Romans, it's actually one of my favorites. I love it, but because it contains many things and they can literally beon a verse for a whole week but yeah guys that was today's verse that I loved using live now they have this feature at the bottom where I can show you videos and I show you photos and I was able to show you the image of the app youversion that I use to give me all these daily Bible verses that come up and I was able to show you.
