Suddenly, a noise makes him turn around and she sees the demonic Madeleine approaching with the body of her mother, but she becomes human again when she realizes that Toby is a friend of hers. She demands to know what happened to her mother, and to keep her calm, Toby says she did it so they could be together. This makes Madeleine happy and she kisses Toby, pushing him to the ground to get frisky. Toby loses the bag with the special plant when he falls, so he pretends to be inside it to get it back.

When Madeleine notices her, she growls and begins to change, but Toby manages to find her spear and uses it to knock her out. Then he puts the plants in her mouth to keep her subdued and uses some vines to tie her up. Toby then runs to the house to get gas and prepare a torch to light his way back to the lighthouse. He leaves the torch at the door to keep the animals away, then goes upstairs to finally turn on the light as he remembers the time his father taught him how to start a car. As Madeleine begins to move, Toby waits for a boat, but seeing that there is no one near her, he decides to leave.

As he goes down, the stairs break, causing Toby to fall and spill gasoline all over the floor. He also makes her discover that a special plant also grows here. At that moment, the door closes on its own, and as soon as the rotating light points in the opposite direction, the demonic Madeleine sneaks into the shadows to attack. Toby manages to grab some of the plant before they take him away, but Madeleine is too strong and when he tries to use the plant on her, she twists his hands to make the juice fall into her eyes. Madeleine then jumps away as the light comes back in, so Toby takes the opportunity to walk over to the sink and wash his face.

Floating in the water he finds a shard of glass and when Madeleine has enough darkness to attack again, Toby uses her shard to keep her away. Toby begins to consider using the torch as well, but when he approaches the door, he finds little Madeleine crying. He worries about the boy, but it is actually a trap, and the boy reveals his demonic visage before returning to his adult form and jumping at Toby. A ship can be heard approaching the

island

, so Toby needs to think fast because Madeleine is also in the process of possessing it. Toby manages to grab the shard again, and when Madeleine grabs his wrist to stop him, Toby improvises by spinning the glass enough for the light to reflect off of it and burn Madeleine's face, causing her to recoil.

Toby then runs out and grabs the torch to throw it into the gasoline, causing a fire. Madeleine turns back into a human to try and feel sorry, but Toby simply closes the door before running away. As soon as he reaches the beach, Toby notices that the boat is following the direction of the lighthouse, so he jumps into the water to go after it. Unfortunately, he is not heard when he calls for help, and the noise allows the demonic Madeleine to sneak up behind him and ultimately kill him. A few moments later, the rescuer leaves the

with Madeleine on board, believing her to be the person who lit the lighthouse.

As soon as the man is distracted, Madeleine reveals that she is still possessed and that she will soon cause more trouble in the city.
