review

after having this car for a little over a month in my

2021

camaro

1le 2ss, probably ruining all that and my impressions of this car in about a month, let me tell you a little bit of the backstory, so I haven't owned a Camaro before this.

I haven't owned a Muscle Car before this one. The last car I owned was the last Muscle Car I owned, a 1965 Ford Mustang when I was 19 years old. So it's been a while my last Vehicle was a 2004 Toyota 4runner 4 wheel drive v8 2. Great car, 233,000 miles. Had it for 16 years, one owner and I just loved it, but I've wanted to buy a Camaro since the 5th generation to hear that talk. about that in a moment. I've wanted to have a

camaro

since the 5th gen and I'm just waiting for the planets to align and that happened right at the end of 2020 so it was a nice ending to the end of a pretty crazy season. year, so to get to something like this was not only my dream, but it's completely different from what I drove before.

Anyway, I'd like to give you my impression of this vehicle and how much I love the various things about it and some of the things that aren't so good, yeah, they're like yeah, you know, I think maybe they could have done something a little different, so I'm not going to make a top five with five worst, you know, my impressions of the car, I'm just It will be a kind of list, but it won't necessarily have an even number. Yeah I like this here so I can drive around the corners a little bit and I hope you guys can enjoy it anyway so my first pro I'll call it pros and cons my first pro for the US or just the ss1le , it will be the looks, the look of this car is incredible, it was what really made me want to buy it again when I had it.

I saw it at the end of the fifth generation and the thing about this look is from the wrapped hood to the wheels and the front splitter, the lip at the rear, the way the aggressiveness of the wheels looks, the stance that seems. he's serious and he's not here to play, he's not going to mess around, so it was really the same as a standard ss, the look I wanted, I like the black accents, I like how they really designed the 1le that way and really any color you get with the 1le, even the impact and some of the brighter colors now have the wild cherry tint coat, I think this year

2021

, so they all look good with the black accents.

I liked the color I got. We'll talk about this in a minute, which brings us to our or my second pro: color and colors in general, like I said, you know, Chevy gets bold with some of their colors, like color shock, those of you who have the shock. I know or have had the bright green. I don't know if it's rally green or what it was in recent years. More power to you. The courage they have to drive those vehicles. That color is incredible. I wanted something. a little more stealthy since I went with the satin steel, but I went with the satin steel mainly because this color, in certain lights, almost looks like it has a pearl in it, so it's a really elegant color depending on the time of day. day, night and how. it just looks under certain lights and then again accented with black, it looks amazing.
The third pro I like about the SS models, as well as the 1le, is the sound. A dual mode exhaust is awesome, especially when you start it cold. He is simply a red-blooded American. I don't know what you would call it. It's one of those things that makes you feel good. I can't help but put a smile on your face when you hear that. The other thing I like. about the dual mode exhaust is the clicks and pops, you know, the rice crunches of the exhaust that, uh, they designed more in the last six generations than the previous ones and I know they probably designed it to be a little more artificial than what you believe I would like something like this if you had a camper or something but I think it's awesome I love the sound of it and maybe something I'll upgrade in the future is the exhaust but for now just stock I think it works great so the next positive. or pro that I have for this car, so the ss models, the LED models, it's the engine power, the v8, the lt1, more specifically, this thing just gets up and moves, so it's not like I said, no play and that's one of those. things I love especially coming from the vehicle I had before so when I want to step on it it takes me where I want to go very fast and that can cause problems for you.
I've already passed a couple of highway patrols and that's it. It's something I have to be careful with because I've had a few speeding tickets in the past but I love power so this brings me to the next pro and that is the handling of the 1le with the track package and suspension of the 1st. It's amazing to be able to corner like this on real rails, as well as having different modes, different driving modes between the Touring mode, which is a little bit smoother. Softer steering into sport mode changes the exhaust note and also changes the The way the vehicle just drives as well as you know, turns and then the follow mode also the follow mode gets really aggressive with that and there's a lot of performance things that you can change within the track mode as well, but the handling is really nice and the way this car just hugs you, which I'll talk about in the next point, you just feel one with the road and one with the vehicle, and that's something I really like.
The next pro I mentioned before is more. In relation to the interior of the vehicle, it's fit and feel, is what I say, so fit and feel, what do I mean by that? So the fit, I feel like this driver position that I'm driving from right now is made for me, uh. the recaro seats the bolsters the way the seat hugs you know your hips your sides everything and then you can position the steering wheel you know the right position for you I feel that way I feel much more part of the vehicle it makes the driving experience much more nicer when you feel like you're part of the vehicle and not like you're trying to manipulate the vehicle into doing something it doesn't want to do, so it fits and feels like it does fit a wide variety of body types, which I think is cool for a sports car, a sports car.
My wife is 5'4 and can drive this vehicle. She drove it a couple of weeks ago. She had the seat quite far forward and she had it at the height she wanted, so she was able to drive it with ease. I'm six feet tall and I weigh about 165 170 pounds on any given day and I have the seat almost all the way back, in fact it's all the way back and almost on the floor, uh, but I'm comfortable with that driving position, if you're taller than me, it might start to get a little tight, uh, with the legs, so that would be something you might have to adjust in time for the next pro I have.
I might also get some criticism for this because some people, when they talk on forums about what they would like in a 7th generation Camaro, if that was going to be a possibility for Chevy, it sounds iffy, it was less. technology, in fact I like technology again. I came from a 2004 toyota 4runner that really had top tech in a cd player and cassette deck so now im still learning some of the systems on this car but especially with the 2ss model you will have more tech than with the 1ss . I'll probably have a video that could compare what the 1ss and 2ss offer or what this car would have, but I'll do something.
The highlight is that some of the technology that I love in this car is the ones in the 2ss which has blind spot monitoring so I can see at a glance the little um icon that comes on in my mirror and if I'm going to change of lane. and he has something in my blind spot that will flash and beep telling me no, don't do it. I like the heads up display. I like to have that in my field of vision. Now I will say a negative thing to the heads. On screen I always wear polarized sunglasses and maybe regular sunglasses do too, but the sunlight is very dim with sunglasses.
The other part of the technology, of course, is this whole center console that allows you to play games in the car. I have an iPhone, so it's nice to be able to use things that are right on my phone, uh, use Siri and you know, voice activation to text people, call people like that, I love it. because I don't have to pick up my phone at all when I'm driving. this car anywhere so it helps me be safer the other part there's a lot inside the console in the piece of technology that you can go through different settings to see what you want to see and really tailor it to your specifications the bose The sound system Bose sounds amazing.
I haven't had a sound system like that in any car so hearing that really rich sound in the coupe, I think it's nine speakers and I mean 7 in the convertible throughout the cabin so it's definitely nice. Awesome, the Bose system comes with the 2ss, the other one, some of the things that are, you know, nice little things are the seal plates that light up the camaro when you open the door, the lighting spectrum is pretty good, I will say that It's good, they don't. If that doesn't show up again, it's not necessary to have it, but it's nice to have it, so I like that you know that you can change the lighting or it will change in drive mode depending on what you're on.
So I think it's a technology thing, but this is what some people criticize for having the amount of technology that this car has and wanting less. My opinion is that if you want a car with less technology, I mean, this is 20. 21 now, and you want a muscle car, you know, or a sports car, however you categorize this and like, you're going to have to go back, you're going to have to go back to more, you know, earlier years like If you go with the '60s or '70s, you're paying about the same price, so go for something that's more like a real sports car that doesn't know all the electrical stuff and doesn't have the smog. what do you know, problems, um that. newer vehicles and not problems but technology, if you hear those clicking noises that would be my thing but any new car will come with more and more technology so it will be what it is so let's talk about the disadvantages or maybe the aspects negatives. to the car and really in my opinion they are minor, not enough to deter you from buying this car so the first one I wasn't used to is the skipped shift when I first drove this The car I hadn't driven a manual for For a while, it definitely created some confusion when it came out, you know, shifting from one to four, that was something I didn't know much about, so I had to look into it, but when I started driving the car more it wasn't something that was a factor anymore. for me because normally when I shift from first to second I get up to 18-20 miles per hour before shifting into second so around 30-3500rpm there are some skips. shift eliminators that you can plug into your transmission line so it doesn't tell you that you will still get the light, but it doesn't give you the little locking tab to prevent it from doing that and the main reason the shift skip was done .
It's been on the manual transmission trend cam. Been on manual transmissions for a while. Now it's to save fuel. It's also a way for Chevrolet to sell this through this vehicle specifically without having to use gasoline. Gas consumption attacks

should

be added. to that, which can then increase the cost of the vehicle, but it's annoying, so that would be my first, the next con that I would say or negative, which I understand, it's a sports car, it's a powerful car and we have people getting on. bikes today uh it's storage space there's no storage space inside this car except for the back seats which aren't really storage space uh but it's not a seat either there will be two small side slots in each door the center console in the that fits my garage door opener, my wallet, maybe sunglasses or my phone, uh, and then the glove box, which is really funny because the glove box barely fits the driver's manual, no joke, so now the trunk storage is a good size, but it fits.
It has a very small opening because of the taillights and how they chose to have the trunk open the trunk lid, um, but if you really want to carry something in this car, it's going to be the back seat or the trunk which I have. It was difficult to even find a place to put my cell phone. I wish in the shift console area they had just another slot or something you could put your phone in. Looks like they could make that happen, but storage space, so yeah. The next disadvantage I would say would be the tires, so it's a catch-22.
I like the tires, especially when driving on a road like this, where they just stay in cornerslike this one that last forever, but are super soft and bounce back. almost everything and they don't last as long because they are soft, as I mentioned I live in the desert and it gets very hot here in the summer, mid summer it can get up to 120 degrees constantly. So these tires are simply not going to last and for the cost of these tires it is a pretty hefty investment for the average guy like me so I will be looking for alternatives when I have to replace these tires.
I've seen some guys, of course. They're probably burning out and stuff like that, their tires were last time 78000 miles and that's something that I definitely have to get more life out of than that um, but the tires in association with the tires you know are attached to these beautiful rims. I love the wheels on the 1, they haven't changed them in recent years. I think actually since the 6th generation they've been the same, but it's the brake dust, so that would be my next con: the brake dust, the Brembo brakes, which is amazing, they stop in an instant, especially In the first, they have six pistons. front, four piston rear, but even after a couple of hundred miles, no joke, they're just covered in brake dust and that means I'm going to be cleaning them regularly, which I don't like, but to have a car attractive with These beautiful rims mean that you are going to be doing a lot of cleaning so there will be a lot of brake dust which also covers the side of the car so I hope you enjoyed my

review
