s this summer. I've seen my channel, you know I have a very good kitchen setup. In fact, everything in total probably costs around $150, but I'm going to Walmart here and I'll show you how you can spend about half of that on a good setup for fishing and cooking. You know, it may not be as nice and fancy as the setup I have and will put in the description, but it will definitely help you and you don't have to spend a small fortune to do this. here we are, come here to the camping section, let's get some fuel for 574, I have a chance to feel that this will last you, my goodness, a couple of hours, you have a couple of hours with the stove on, of this on the stove, okay? from the peak a stove, so what I'm going to do is go to another Walmart, we have another one down the street, the peak that snows will be very popular and we'll just go to that one and pick up one of those, we'll get everything we need here, including look at this for 1488, you can get a 10 piece camp kitchen dining set, they have some sports, they have a frying pan, a pond, a bowl, a bowl for everything, everything comes. this nice little package in a nylon carrying bag for everything so for the 1488 bag it's a good deal and you're all set as far as that goes and then here we have filleting knives in the fishing section come on here and for relatively inexpensive and in fact very expensive for 884 you can get it.

It has a fillet knife with a sheath. This is a fillet bonded with titanium. Nice, looks like it could be a little better for 1284. What I would definitely recommend is that I don't go without a knife because having that long fillet knife makes it so much easier in the whole process. I cook a lot of small

now, so I can get away with a really small knife, but I'd actually buy the longer one. one so you can take care of the smaller fish easily but you can also take care of the bigger fish that you will eventually catch if you keep fishing and what I'm really going to do this one comes with a sharpener this is probably not for 880 for this coffee It's not like the highest precision fillet knife, but I have a really good sharpener at home and this one comes with a sharpener and a sheath, so I think I'll buy this one.

I'm keeping my voice down right now because I still hate logging in in public so anyway we head to the supermarket aisle and then here we have four salted butters 298 and I always go for salted butter so you have a total I have four bars there and with a pound of butter for three dollars you'll have enough butter for many cooks with that, unless you're a fisherman's life, then that's about fishing and cooking right there, so we come here to the spices. aisle I love the spice aisle for some reason you know what it just occurred to me something look at this look at this a small bottle of shrimp and crab Saturn boils this only for a dollar ninety eight and it's expensive for a small bottle, but we might be catching some crabs later today, so I'm actually going to buy a little bottle of that because we're definitely going to need this for the crab candy, which is really good, in fact, I had forgotten about that because I forgot to that, um, I was going to look for some crabs.

They have a 24 piece dinnerware set and they know that three cups is three of everything so if you have a family this is a good option and it's only 24 dollars so you know there are a lot of different cache cooking options here like Okay, so make sure you look at everything very carefully when you come to Walmart to do this, so that the grand total comes to this inside to separate it. Walmart has two separate receipts with taxes and everything, fifty-seven dollars and ninety-four cents, so the kids are looking at between fifty and sixty dollars depending on everything they have to buy.
I have to imagine many of you already have a knife, but seen, you are ready, I catch you, you all prepare to fish and cook for about 50 dollars, I was actually going to try to keep this under $50, but of anyway that didn't work, it didn't work this time, but we have our beautiful fillet knife on the stove with lots of fuel, this will last you quite a few and just I love this, I love pretty little things like this, I have our dining set from 10 piece camp stove, lemon salt and pepper, this, hopefully, the crabs are out, I hope so, and of course, lots of butter, now let's go down to the river, so here we are. here on the local Fish River it's like 10 minutes from my house it's the Boise River so you don't have to go far many times to find good fishing spots oh man this looks fantastic what I'm using first today a little.
The spinner here is a Meps and I like that little colored blade. I haven't used this one much, but it looks great. I just had a good feeling about it, so I'm going to throw this little spinner out there. I fish by feel a lot, if I look in my tackle box and see a lure it's like you know what looks good. I obeyed my instinct and it turned out much better. I got rid of it in two ways when I did it. oh look, I already have one that's really fun, a

hmm, it's a little small on the first cast, look at that first cast of the day though, we have this nice boom that's beautiful, a little trout in there, it gets a little too small to keep it.
At this particular location there is no size limit, but there is nothing else on the spinner, so I am going to try this, the old standby for me, a Classroom Jerk bait wrap. I don't seem to get any bigger trout with this well, I got a nice one oh. look at that on the trip, oh boy, that was a good fisherman on that bait, i have one, i have one, it's good, i think it just has some weight to it, it doesn't jump like a trout, though oh yeah, it's a trout, yeah , hmm, cute rainbow look. on that beautiful beautiful rainbow trout there, great salads and we have our first catch and we cook fish for our new catch and cook setup.
Alright, now that we have our trout, I'm actually going to go get some lobsters. I look, I look. some rocks here, but there's actually nothing under these rocks, so what I'm going to do is be where in the past I've caught them in this particular river, it's very, very cold and it takes a while for the lobsters to like they come out of their burrows and stuff, and even though it's a warm day outside, it's like you have to wait for it to come a little later in the year, usually for them to come out, but it's June 21st, it's actually the first day. of summer and then they should be available.
I haven't seen any yet, but they should be somewhere else and let's see if I can. You can add some lobsters to our trout. Okay, so we have this nice place here. There are usually some lobsters. over here, so start turning over rocks, there's one, look no it's not big, but the first crowd of the year, look at that, hopefully, they're not trying to find anyone. Sometimes people start floating the river prematurely and the rivers can be very high and they like their branches and stuff, but people try to float this river too early and then they end up getting in trouble, so here we go, we have one, here we go, nothing, not big, but another crab just great, we don't.
I need a lot of them today, enough to complement the trout, let's try to flip this big rock here, there's got to be some crayfish down here, right, I see some fish, not some, oh, I almost grab, oh wait, no, there's a big crayfish, almost caught a fish. Even though you have it there, go like this, see if there's anything under this rock, make sure you turn this one over first, oh, there's one, oh, it's small, it's a little tiny though, we'll just let it go, let's hope, but the big one. It's under this erotic, yeah, there's a big one right there, like this, we've got five crabs, great, that's how it's done guys, we've got a crab, we've got our trout, now let's cook our catch, let's just find a nice little spot on somewhere in a wooded area and yes, sweet, by the way, I have everything, a backpack, if you go out there and plan to do it yourself instead of carrying it like a tackle box and everything that I normally carry like a backpack and put everything my cash and cook. things in it and then I put the clear plastic tackle boxes.
I'll put the tackle I need in and it's easier when you're safely fishing to have everything in your backpack than the traditional tackle box, so we're back at it. Come back here and set up all these things, first we'll open up our little stove here. Voila, I should probably read the instructions, but anyway, that's how you open it and then it looks like I know if I know my stuff here. It's just going to screw right into the arm, so we have a little stove in there, let's open up our dining set, very compact, this is great, oh, there's the lid, that's crazy, both balls come right out.
We have a nice pot this is perfect for making a mini crab boil look how perfectly it fits in there that's sweet okay the first thing I'm going to do is actually I'm going to boil some crabs so let's just turn it on the stove and prepare our pot. of water. I turn this thing up to the highest it can go. I even see that there is a pretty good flame right there. This thing is actually advertised as being able to boil a liter of water in three point three minutes and now I didn't set the timer when I started it but there are already bubbles forming at the bottom of the pot so I want to say it's really good for a cheap little stove from Walmart, so the water is almost boiled, we're going to pour a little salt in a little salt.
We're going to add ours, a Doran's Shrimp and Crab Boil, this is amazing for lobsters and I also get advertised for crab and shrimp, but great for lobsters and I tend to go overboard with these things so don't overdo it because this is a very high concentrate that should be enough now we will add the crab boom. These credits are so clean that they are in our river that it is not necessary to purge them in many of the places where they are purged because they live in the mud. but here they live in this crystal clear river, they just live under rocks and stuff, so there's really no reason to purge them, they're like the cleanest lobsters you can get and this is the way I call those lobsters.
They are done cooking, at least the ones we have around here, there are many different types of crayfish, but if the tail separates from the shell, you will see a little bit of white, then you can tell they are ready. and what's super cool about this little setup is that you can stock in the leather, there are these holes, so it's a perfect strainer for training crabs, this is great, this is a cool little setup, we have fresh crabs here , we are out of our harvest. You have to let them cool a little bit because I always try, yeah, I mean, I'm actually really hungry right now and I reached in just a minute ago, it was too early, the shells stay hot for a long time, that's what.
Well, that's fine on its own, but it needs a little butter. Let me show you real quick how to eat a crayfish. For those of you who don't know, just twist the tail like this and then you'll see that poop vein. We will drink there. Take care of that in a second and then you twist this little back end and then we'll twist it slightly so it separates like this and there we have the red meat and then we take it out and there's the last bit of the shell and then as far as the vein, there's guts in the poop vein and we just didn't take it out that time, you know, I just eat it some people like it, some people like to take that out.
Don't think too much of it, maybe I'm a little used to it, but I don't know anyway, and there you have it, you have a little piece of tail meat there,so a good size claw, but we have a good small medallion and this is one of the best pieces of all look at that look at the size that is not bad and in fact it is more tender than the tail meat to fit the trout in the pot we're going to have to cut I'm going to cut them into a couple of pieces, I'm just going to cut off the tail.
You know, there's some meat down there. I have to be able to put it in the pan. This little knife is not so bad. There we go, we have a couple of pieces of trout, butter in the bottom of the pan, very good, salt a little salt to the trout, maybe too much comfort, leave them there, a little salt on top, look it's ready, it's falling. off the bone boom look at that, that's fantastic and I'm starving. I always go out and when I really start cooking and eating you know you catch fish and that's like oh one more cast one more cast one more cast and you say oh but I'm really hungry, one more cast, well then I have to prepare everything, clean the fish , so when I'm actually eating I'm so hungry, oh, you know, I forgot that the lemon made a little hole in there, I'm just.
I'm going to squeeze a little bit on top, yeah, and then my pepper shaker. I can not open it. Here we go. I broke it. All you need is lemon butter, salt, pepper and any fish cooked this way is amazing. Guys, this is so much fun. You have to do this yourselves if everything from fishing, gathering Crabs Co, warming it up, being outside all day, finding your little one, finding a little spot in the trees to hook it all is so much fun, you have to try it and not. You should know that it doesn't have to be that expensive, so anyway I hope you enjoyed this video.
