To make two gnomes, I was going to make one first and then come back and make another one for all of you so I could make sure I got it right, but knowing what I look like, the first one I wouldn't record or probably the right one. It turned out the best, so I'm going to start making them and we'll see which one comes out in the edit, but anyway I want to let you know that I'm not going to go over every single piece I'm going to need for this project simply because I always end up forgetting something. , so I'll tell you what I'm using as I make it and then at the end of the video or in the description box below I'll list all the supplies and everything that you're going to need to make one of these little gnomes, this is not an item from Dollar Tree, although some of the things I'm using are from Dollar Tree, the first thing you're going to need is a sock and we have so many socks that don't have pairs that it wasn't hard for me to find.

I just went to Caitlyn's drawer and pulled one out and then of course I had another one for the second one I had. I'm going to do it, I want to go ahead and start with this one first and I'm going to take some rice and I'm going to fill it because this is going to make the body of the little gnome and so anyway what What I'm going to do is because no I want this to be a really big gnome. I'm going to cut this sock right here above the heel and if you want to put it over a jar, you know, and it'll make it easier for you to fill, you can, you can also use a funnel.

I'm going to use a jar because it looks like I'm already having a hard time, so just stretch your little sock over this jar here and you could put a rubber band around it if you want to keep it in place and then you can start pouring the rice into your sock. . Now you can fill this whole body with rice if you want or you can use a little bit of stuff in the rice will mainly be on the bottom just to give it a little weight so it's really up to you how you want to do it, it doesn't matter either way, I think I'm going to put some padding in mind, that's how big I want his body to be, so now I'm just going to take some rope and tie him up here.

You can't put a rubber band on it. If you want to be evil, whatever works for you, so now that you have the body that you want to be now let's do the beard and I got two different types. I got a pink fur and then I also got the white fur because I wanted to make one of each, this one I got at Hobby Lobby it was 349 and this one I ended up getting at Joanne's Crafts it was 249 so of course you know Hobby Lobby has a coupon 40% off and Anyway, I'm going to go ahead and open them.

I think I'm going to start with a white first, so what you're going to do is just open this up and you're going to want to cut a triangle shape or a V shape for where the beard is, so I'm probably going to go up to here when I cut it and you want to wrap it up a little bit, so I'm probably just going to not want to cut the beard. back of your fur, so you're going to want to see if I can find myself exactly where I'm supposed to hang here, so what I suggest doing is taking an exact knife and just cutting, trying to cut just this piece.

I have it like this and if I need it when I'm done, I always I can trim the bottom of this, so I'm going to go ahead and take my hot glue, I'm going to run it over this and then I'm going to wrap it there, I'm going to leave it there, so that's the beer and I'm going to put a little piece of nose on it and I ended up having to buy beads because all my craft stores were out of this, the round wooden balls you can't buy on Amazon but you have like a hundred and I just didn't need that many so I wouldn't have bought them anyway and that's okay because I really feel like the first.

I'm going to hide those little holes on each end of this, so what I want to do is hot glue the little nose down, so I'm going to separate this a little bit here and then I'm going to put the nose right here with a little bit. of hot glue and when you put the hair back around it you won't notice those two little holes on the side and you should do it about half an inch from the top where you have the beard glued, just hold it with the glue, it's pretty secure, so now I'm going to work on the hat and I think for this one I'm going to make a gray hat because I want to make some little red felt hearts and glue them on gray.

I think they would look really nice together, so that's also something you can do: this is one of those microfiber towels, I guess, from the Dollar Tree that you get in the audio section to dry your car and stuff like that, you can also use this if you want for the hat versus the felt, you can also use another sock if you want to do that, so there are different types of ways you can do it. this, but I'm going to use the felt and I'm going to cut a cone shape for the felt because when you roll it up you want it to come to a point, so all I'm going to do is I'm going to take my scissors again here and I'm going to start first.

I'm going to start a little bit wider because if I want to remove something I can and you're going to want enough to wrap this around. It's handy and we always get into trouble, but I'm going to grab some hot glue and I'm going to go ahead and close this up and then see if I can get this to work on this little guy's body. head, I'm going to take some floral wire that you know at Dollar Tree and I'm going to want to put a piece inside, this will give me the ability to bend it how I want. be and you don't have to do this if you don't want to you just want yours to be straight that will be fine for you so I just want to measure myself one piece it will be the length of the Hat and then cut it out and then I'm going to hot glue it to along the side here, so now that I have it in, I'm going to fold my little hat and I'm going to glue it into the scene, so I'm going to start right at the edge here, these things are going to stick very, very well and I'm going to cut a little bit of this and I'm going to put some padding in this little hat and then what?

I'm going to do a little bit of uh pstop like right here because I want to have it hollow so I can go down on this piece and I'm going to remove a little bit more of this little piece here as well. Now I can see that it fits much better, so all I'm going to do now is put a little bit of hot glue around the edge here and then I'm going to place it here and pull it down. As far as I can, just so everyone knows, felt and hot glue are messy, so I want my sewing on the back to be like this.

I'm going to hold it until it dries and what am I going to do. I think I'm going to take some leftover felt that I have and probably try to glue it here at the bottom so you don't see that purple. It's not a big deal, but for me I'm I'm going to set it up and I don't want that to show, so I'm just going to push his beard out of the way and hot glue to the gray around the base here so it doesn't show. This little one is just going to be a piece put something together but you know what's good because when I make my second one I will have learned from my mistakes on this first one if you have a thought that it's a strange color and you don't want me to show it to you.

I can't take the leftover felt and do the same thing and then I had a little strip here as well and what I'm going to do is hot glue it to secure it and close it later. You've got your little beard and everything that's supposed to be, you won't see any of that, so I've got a bunch of different little things that I can use as a decorative hat. I ended up taking another bit of the beard. and I put it on top of this and when you layer them like that you can't really tell because the whiskers come down, I just wanted to have a little bit more on top of the nose area and around the nose area to cover that.

Because now that my life is gone, I'm going to wear some kind of adornment. I don't know if I'm going to do it like that. It would be a nice option and I bought them at the dollar target last year. I also have these little felt hearts and I think I like them better, so I think that's what I'm going to use here. I'm just going to measure this and hot glue it on, that's what I have. here and I can, yeah, I'm going to go ahead and cut out some of these little hearts and then I'm going to hot glue them all over your hat.

Well, I felt like this little guy here was rebuilt, you know, because I was having to get things going, the main thing was that I didn't get the piece of felt wide enough to completely go around the top of his head, that It was a mistake, but you know I was able to fix it, though, next time I do it. I will be measuring again. I'll put the measurements in the description box so you don't know exactly how much to do and I'm going to record myself doing the second one and that way you can see that you know exactly how it's supposed to be. done and then again, you know, for the base of this I had to put the pieces together at the bottom just because I didn't want the purple of the sock to show through.

If you have a gray sock or something, you know you can. Leave it as is or you know how I would have wanted you, just my scrap pieces, so I just put them together, but you can make like a full circle and do it that way, but either way I still think you turned out cute.
