India is a very important part of my life to really understand the love for good Italy. My grandfather was one of the favorite people in my life and I was the oldest male child and as I'm sure many of you know culturally, the oldest has a certain meaning and so I took full advantage of that status. I held my grandfather's hand over them and listened attentively to him and his friends. I clearly understood and remember stories about the Freedom Fighters and Founding Heroes of the nation and about India's independence. I believe it was these lessons that I learned at a very young age that first inspired my interest in public service.
It's a big part of who I am today. I learned these lessons from my grandfather P Vigil Palmer and the dedication, determination and courage of his daughter, my Shyamalek
mother, and that is why I stand before you today as Vice President of the United States. Now I look back and fully realize how much these conversations influenced me and my thinking, and how they have guided me since the services when my sister Maya and I were children, our

I was the only member of our family that my grandfather allowed to join him in his morning routine. I remember them talking about the importance of fighting corruption and fighting for equality regardless of one's beliefs or cast throughout these walks. I remember my grandfather teaching me less about not only what it means to have a democracy but also how to maintain it and I believe it was these lessons I learned at a very young age that first inspired my interests in public service and now I look forward to back. and I fully realize how much these conversations influenced me and my thinking and how they have guided me since in fact it is a big part of who I am today these lessons that I learned from my grandfather, the pollen of the vehicle and of dedication , determination and courage of your daughter my mother shyamala and that is the reason why I stand before you today as Vice President of the United States.
