, the width . Drifting is the real challenge together, magical, so this is something I've been thinking about for a while that would be really fun to do, but I didn't know exactly how it would happen and then I ended up watching a video from Ashley or Best. She dressed up here on YouTube and she and a friend went to the thrift store and found some really

ugly

stuff.
ugly thrift store challenge
The

ugly

things are debatable, but you know, we would all agree that it is a very complete store and they tried to make sets with it, so I thought. We could take that to the next level, go to the blanket store, pick out really horrible things for each other and then have to make something that actually works with an outfit, so I'll buy two ugly pieces for Becky and she'll pick two for me. and then we will have to DIY those items into a piece that can be incorporated into a woman's outfit. I'm nervous but I'm actually excited because every time I go to the thrift store I love to film the really horrible things and now I can buy them mm-hmm and sabotage each other whoa, okay, we should go, come on, okay, discreet, there are too many good things here.

More Interesting Facts About,

ugly thrift store challenge...

I was, anything could work, but my plan is to watch it. like a top maybe and then something like she actually murdered Claire, like my supervision, my teacher, will she kill me or will she kill me? I mean your legal work with can I get her some really ugly home decor and her? she has to make it work in her house, go ahead wait this isn't cute it's definitely not Keith Dial just hide from it though to be honest any print isn't that cute it's like all the plaid colors of the world would matter to me.

I recruited Claire to help me choose which one is really the ugliest. I don't know all of them. This gives me like Lizzie McGuire, but I thought a turning point is like a Dalmatian print that might be fun to see what she does with me because the print might work, might, that's good, although oh she'll kill me if I get this , kill me. Wow, I'm just looking for the ugly prints. I'm so sorry, Becky, pretty bad, pretty bad, fifteen tails here, can you make sure you get me material? that's easy, although that is a request I have, okay, bye, okay, this is what I bought, the dress is pretty horrible, but the print is due and there is a lot of fabric, although I like the print, but that's what that I'm thinking I want. to give it something to say that maybe, if you just look at the print alone, it could be cool.

Honestly, I found so many good and different things, just like things are like you, even this one, my only fear is that this is really It's hard to sew and I don't want to like sabotage it like that, you know, because it's immaterial, but this It also gives you a lot to work with. Yes, it was like her. I love those that could be a good sabotage and this jacket has many of them. of color and skill I don't know, I think I'll go with a couple of these final options, they had some new ideas. I think this one is too big, so like her, the skirt is pretty, but it's really in tune. to see what I end up making up my mind right, so how do you think it's really right?
I'm excited to go see these pieces. I had too many options and I want to make it challenging for you, but not impossible. I found some cool ones that I had no idea what you'd do, so I figured if I couldn't think of something, I'd give you a hard, ugly but attainable, okay, you want to show me what you've got, yeah, first of all, I bought you these pants Okay, yes, they have style. I have sweet flared pants and they have a beautiful print. I like it, it's like a sofa, because it seems like they're going to be very elastic, very comfortable, so that's yours.
Okay, yeah, okay. I guess that's okay, um, so first. What I have for you is a cheetah print skirt and I know cheetah is in, but I'm not sure about this cut at all. In addition, this double opening is for easy walking, a lot of mobility, wait. I almost thought they were like shorts. we're all hot thanks oh maybe these sisters are just off to the side oh yeah that makes my second step figuring out how to wear the piece yeah I need a full ten minutes of rain so I know I'm going to need a session of reflection below mhm, this fabric is a little difficult to work with, but I think you could get something out of it.
It's um hahaha, it's like a great dress, okay, hopefully, I think this color is pretty. I know I want to see these details. Your final shot though, I know my first thought was that I have to go, there are some down here too, the latest works, okay, the last thing I bought from you the phases of the Moon. I know, so I loved the print and I thought the print is cool, but the dress. It has shoulder pads and like the Peter Pan cafe they have a lot of things to do, well I think you can tame it somehow, it can't be something like what are the rules, you just have to make this into something, yeah, and I think the Rule is that it has to be like more than 80% of your final piece as if it couldn't cut this color.
I stick it on a t-shirt as a pocket and it will be how I used it. Do you mean this has to be the majority of your final piece? somehow that's fair, any other rules you want to add while we're here, come on, no, okay, it's hard enough, we don't need any more research on this, okay, let's get to this, so I want you to start with my Beautiful nude cheetah print skirt, it's a little long and a little big on me. I was considering turning this into a light tube top or even a dress like a very short dress, but I think I'm going to keep it simple.
And turning this into a tight mini skirt, I already have an outfit idea in mind so I'm really excited to turn this into something that I would actually wear so I'm ready to try this piece on and I'm looking at the sides and then I'm also going to cut the length off about where this starts, so that's an easy way to solve it and then you could add a little bit of detail, but with us printing this tall, I think it's best to keep it simple. my plan, so once I sewed each of the sides, I simply cut off the excess fabric and then folded the bottom of the skirt basically up to where the slits started and then cut along this line leaving a little bit of allowance for the hem and I also left a little bit more in the back because if there's one thing I've learned about having things it's that your butt takes up a little more space than your front so you might want to leave a little extra fabric in there that I cut off . that and then I rolled it to make a hem and then I sewed this and this is what my final piece looks like inside out, it looks a little like this, it's very simple, I know I didn't go too crazy with it, my other idea was to add like the little front slits like the smaller ones, but because it's such a bold print, I'm going to let the skirt speak for itself in its simplicity, so let's see how I styled it.
I bought my new miniskirt with some sheer stockings. Second-hand coral sweater that is originally from Topshop, some black ankle boots and a black mini backpack. I finished everything with a nice top knot. I love how it turned out. I'm excited to wear this full Luke again, but next I'm excited to see what Becky does in that dress I bought her, so Kelsey gave me this great dress. She has many things to do. She has Greetings. It has embroidery. It has layers. It has sleeves. It has ties. I think I want to simplify it a little. I think my biggest dream for this, whether I can pull it off or not, is to turn it into some kind of simple slip dress or babydoll dress because I really like tiers, I think they're really cool, so I think if I could just lose the structure of the upper part and make it even more free.
I think that would be cool, so I think the first step will be to cut the top off and see what I have to work with for the bottom pieces. I pretty much tried and cut the top off of this dress because I didn't like the t-shirt effect and now I essentially have a long skirt that I'm going to turn into a dress, so I'm pinning it together. I make a giant M shape along the length so that it goes down to the armpits, then up and then down to create a V-neck effect. I'm making the same shape on both the front and the back to keep things simple, so I just cut it.
All my layers to cut out this M shape. Next you can separate the front and back reap inning and then I'll use a few more pins to complete everything. This is a kind of process, since it is multi-layered. dress and a very delicate fabric once I have my shape hemmed around the top of the dress I am using a sewing machine to sew it all together this is how my new hemmed dress top turned out. very cute, I was a little nervous because this fabric was very delicate while I was wearing it, it's very nice, but you know what turned out, okay, my next and last step is to add a strip that is worn so that it works as a dress , so luckily the back of the previous dress had some bows on it, so I'm going to cut the bows out of the extra fabric and then I'm going to use them to create two little bows up here so I can tie a little bow tie to the dress, so I cut my straps from the previous dress and then I split them in half, gave them a nice hem and lastly I placed them on the corners of the front and back of the dress and did it with a hand stitch because I didn't want to make a mess.
I made it on a sewing machine and I also think it has a little X shape. It looks so cute and matches the embroidery on the rest of the dress, so once it's complete, I have two little bows on each side, like this that when I put it on. I can actually make them like a cute bow and I think it will be so cute, so I can't wait to show you how I style it. I am selling this dress with some round sunglasses, this super cute headscarf and a gold choker necklace for the shoes, I added these beautiful pink velvet booties.
I actually like this one, this was the one I was most nervous about, so I'm excited to get to the pants next, but before Kelsey and I move on to the last one. Luke's, we have to go out and buy some things from various stores to complete that child, you know, I have your list, yes, shopping, you find what you need, but I'm pretty much yes, I found fabric. I'm debating whether I want to. If I like one part I feel like I might mess it up or it might look amazing on the TV DVD, so I ended up picking up this elastic that I'm going to need to recycle my dress, so this dress is interesting, I really like it. the pattern I don't think is going to keep the collar and cuffs even though they're white, which makes me want to keep them because I'm like it's white from the surface or we have to keep it, it's gold, but no.
I'm not going to keep it. I think what I'm going to do with this dress is turn it into a little two-piece set, so it's going to be a skirt with a sort of crop top in every situation I'm going to start with. with a skirt and that's why I actually bought the elastic that will be my waist, so I cut the entire dress above the pockets and coincidentally below the zipper, this worked well for me so it has a bottom of my I measured around my waist and figured out how much elastic I'm going to use.
I added about an inch or so to overlap and sew the elastic, so I started pinning my skirt to the inside of the elastic. I started at the On the front there are already some kind of ruffles and then I started working. A good way to solve this is to fold the elastic over and then where there is 1/2 or 1/4, you can pin half or a quarter of your skirt fabric. to the elastic so you know where it needs to line up and then you may need to gather a little in the middle at the back. I ended up stretching the elastic and pinning it because when I put this on I want the elastic to be able to stretch and not just be in position because once I sew it it will stay stuck.
I sewed the ends of the elastic together and I'm just sewing the entire top of my skirt and my skirt is done. I like it. It's cute, it works and I still have my pockets, my pockets still work, which is fantastic. I can't leave this dress as pocket school okay, so my next step is to deal with the top, this is what I have now. I like it, it won't stay like this, my plan is to use some of this front material and create eight to make it the best things, then I'll use a little more of my elastic and make these bell sleeves to make. my tube top I am cutting a rectangle from the front piece of fabric and the back piece of fabric that comes out well from the water.
In fact, I'm going to use the zipper that's on the dress I already sewed. on both sides so that my two rectangles are now a tube top and then I went around the hem all the way to the top, at the bottom, then I took that black elastic, the same one I used on the skirt, and then I figured it out. how muchtime I would like them to have some straps on the shoulders and then I tied those straps to my tube top, which is no longer a top, it's a tank top, maybe with spaghetti straps on top and then I'll wear the sleeves . from the top of my dress, the small amount that is still left on this dress and I am cutting the sleeves and opening them at the bottom to give a kind of flowy cape effect and then pinned one of the sleeves in place just to get a general idea of what it's going to look like and I decided I wanted it to be a little bit shorter so I decided to cut this as a rounded shape so in the end it was almost like a giant circle and it's I'm going to make the perfect little sleeve , so I ended up pinning one sleeve and then putting it on top of the other sleeve to use as a pattern and also cutting that side and then pinning them back into place on the straps and then sewing across the strap, like this that this is my final little top and I love it as much as forgetting about the thrift store.
I would buy it anywhere. I think it's very cute and I love the pattern. I don't think I like this tan color, it's really my color, but I'm excited to rock it. and put it together into an outfit, this finished outfit can be dressed up or down and to dress it down I added a jean jacket and some socks and some platform converse so lastly I have this pair of who knows what printed flared pants I need . to transform my first thought was let's get rid of the flared pants and turn them into leggings with cool prints but then I was like no I want to turn these slip on pants like the boho Coachella Western flared pants people ask pants like I just want to.
To do it, go all out and see what happens, so when we left on our trips picking up supplies I found this brown faux suede which I think is really how we make flying even more over the top, so I think my first step is to cut the sides of these flared pants so I can open them up add a new panel and to even out the pull area so let's start with that so my first step was to open up the side of these pants so I can add a larger piece of fabric to make them. even more flared, so I'm using a seam ripper and going up the outside of the pants, but I went up a little bit before the knee area and it's on both sides, right on the outside seams of the pants, now it's time to determine what fabric we are going to use and how much I took that measurement of how high my opening was and then I measured it on the faux suede and then from that I drew a triangle, once I got that out I made sure to add a triangle even more big all the way around and this will be my seam allowance for when I go to sew it so I have some room so that after I finished my first triangle I could cut it out, place it on my fabric and then trace it out so I have a basically perfect pattern.
Once my two triangles are cut, they look like this, so the first step will be to hem the bottom of the triangle so that it doesn't fold once I have folded both triangles. the bottom now it's time to put them on the pants and make this flight happy, so working from the inside of the pant leg I pinned the good side of the suede down and then lifted the edge of the scene we were open and the edge of the triangle and pinned them on both sides, then I just use a sewing machine to sew both sides of the triangles on both sides of the pan, okay guys honestly I'm very impressed with how this worked , I want to just highlight every pair of pants I have now that I know it's super easy, but I think I want to do one more thing.
I'm nervous but this looks so good and I'll mess it up in the next step but I feel like this is a challenge. I want to go all out and make them even cooler, so my next thought is to add a lace-up design. I know a lot of boho western inspired pants have some sort of faux drawstring here, like around the pocket area, so while I was out I also bought some little brass eyelets used for drawstrings which she likes and a bit of drawstring, so I think I'm going to try using these eyelets to make six little drawstring holes in the front of the pants that we can tie up and really add. to these, oh holy western styles, so I started by placing my pants and calculating the space.
I know I want to make six buttonholes in total, so I just use a small marker and marked three points on each side to use buttonholes. first you have to start by making a hole so i just use a pair of scissors to punch my spot and then the buttonhole looks like this it comes in two parts a bottom and a top so just slide the larger piece through of the hole and place the smaller piece on top and then you'll need one of these fun buttonhole making tools where you place both halves on top of the buttonhole and hammer them together.
I realized I could have put my halves inside out but I don't really care how it turned out it will be fine so I continued this process on the rest of my hole and this is what it looks like, all the eyelets are covered and it actually looks pretty professional, so to finish it off, I took some of my heavy cut and tied it through the holes like a shoelace and tied it in a nice bow on top, here's how remained. I like it, it's a nice little touch and I think the brown on the drawstring really highlights the brown on the bottom of the pants super well stitched.
I'm impressed. I think I took these pants from a slightly hippie boho to a very hippie western boho. It is that the reach honors in a boho western hippie. Now I am. I love you so much, let's see how I do these jobs with an outfit so I can clean up this look with a mustard yellow off-the-shoulder top that is from a thrift store, brown cowboy-inspired ankle boots, I'm wearing a gold crescent moon necklace and I topped it all off with a wide-brimmed black hat. We did so well. I don't like to be impressed, you know?
