Trump pleads not guilty to federal charges that he tried to overturn the 2020 election

and now, on an unprecedented day in American history, former President Donald Trump has been indicted on

federal

criminal

charges

for

overturn

ing the

2020

election

that culminated in the January 6 insurrection. The former president appeared in Federal Court in Washington D.C to answer his four-count indictment. The indictment also accuses Trump of knowingly promoting false allegations of

election

fraud and pressuring former Vice President Mike Pence to reject electoral votes. Trump's defense attorney denies that accusation. Trump's final request to Vice President Pence was to pause the vote count to allow states to weigh. The president specifically asked me and his group of nutty lawyers to literally reject the votes.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing and has pleaded not

guilty

. Trump's defense team is criticizing the special counsel's indictment as an attack on his free speech. This is simply one of the many battles facing the former president. In March he was criminally charged in New York with 34 counts of falsifying records and bribing Stormy Daniels with hush money. He pleaded not
