Traveling Apple AirPods Review

well i have good news and bad news the bad news is i have super glue and a layer of duct tape on my beats headphones but the good news is yesterday was my birthday so i was lucky to get a new pair of Earpods from Apple from my lovely wife Anya thank you I love you guys because I'm the world's worst product

er everyone else has already talked about these they've been sick for months but I want to talk about my thoughts on them and how they meet my needs I have a lot of notes of things to keep in mind with these that I want to compare to previous Beats and other wired headphones I've owned I'm going to see how easy they pair up how they sound they look great sound isolation duration out of battery and i'm going to lose them in the first place pairing yeah that was easy just as advertised you open it up and it connects so much easier than the beats i often struggle with for ca audio quality i am going to compare them to previous peple headphones the wattage is ats and these sony mdr 7 and 506 these are the ones i use for editing videos and podcasts the sony ones sounded better which makes sense but i expected to slightly prefer the beats because they have more bass, there's a lot more bass present, but it was a much more balanced sound coming out of the air pods, they had a much better midrange presence, the bass was less dominant and when you switched back and forth between the beats on the air pods the beats sound really muddy so they definitely had a more balanced sound than the previous earbuds there's also been a lot of talk about the fit of these it really depends on your ears my ears fit your ears perfectly air puff

earbuds so yeah these fit me pretty good already now im going to take them on the road for the rest of the test we are going to los angeles tomorrow to take some portrait s so let's see how they do it so this video will be a gear

slash travel vlog mashup not sure it makes any sense but let's experiment nt and hitting the road for a few weeks was the perfect opportunity to see what these headphones could do. environment on an airplane, soft in-ear inserts, beats make for much quieter listening, so in that case they may work better, but in everyday use it's entirely a matter of personal taste and often I need headphones that keep me connected to the real world.

I was worried that there might be too much latency to edit videos with them, but it turned out that it wasn't a problem. These are my first completely wireless earphones so the first drawbacks I noticed is that I always need to carry them on my ears I need to take the case out put them in the case and store the case with the only cable that connects the beats headphones I could quickly drop them and hang them up around my neck we've had the worst weather on this trip that's b e been raining every day to the point that so much water ruined my shoes yesterday at least there's a great cafe here Apple's implementation of true wireless earphones is really strong for us in town connect faster and stay connected better than traditional bluetooth thanks to that w1 shift really drives me crazy when DoubleTap doesn't work now it worked didn't work it worked I didn't anticipate how much pain it would be to use these things one handed but strong enough not to drop it when you have two hands available and there is weird play/pause behavior because some of the longstanding iOS issues need to be fixed in the future, but for now convenience usually makes me forget about it the way they switch between one and the other is really impressive, from a technical perspective and after having tried a few other headphones they work great and i love how well it works when listening at only a year old which is how i spend most of my day conveniently switch to mono and double the battery life speaking of batteries I haven't had one dead yet when I think about it I don't worry too much about them and until now I have always been there for me.

I don't think Apple's headphones look that great, they look a little awkward because you literally have two things in the air and there's nothing there, it's got to be like a different finish, in my opinion, I mean. they look like earrings of some sort that could be nice right it's like they have pierced ears but they didn't really want to have to deal with having their ears here they remind me of the industry like industry people of music that has like specific headphones and a bit of what you know yeah yeah yeah but it's designed to be flashy rather than when so you know if these are?

Yes they are, so I want to know if they look cool. No, I do not like them. OMG they kind of completely joke how much do you know how much I care about you. years boy, will people get used to it? It'll be me, that's why something I can definitely get used to, but it's silly, well that sounds like a unanimous thumbs down from most modern folks. I know I haven't seen Apple headphones. What do you think of these? Great, they're not. It seems they are missing something. Hey, what do you know? The wire. Yeah, I think everyone's looking for a way that Apple can add a little more control to these simple headphones, but that obviously adds complexity as well, so that's okay. with me if they take time to add more functionality because they work pretty well right now ok we're shooting outfits again and Ani has the best outfit in Vegas and we're in the best location as well check this out this was in which movie in your Christmas vacation in Las Vegas, okay?

Quick personal tangent about uploading at the time this video was made. Apple still uses Lightning cables on all of its iOS devices, but I think the iPhone 7 and Air Pots were the best time Apple could have hoped to make the inevitable transition to USB. Seeing put lightning in air pods makes it that much harder for me and I think Apple USB sees the future everywhere. I think it's going to be a challenging transition because okay we're back home and apparently the studio has been turned into a garden while we've been gone but I had a few weeks down the road to test the Apple headphones and I think they're pretty good they're not Perfect, there are a million little things wrong with them, as if I could list more problems than obvious reasons.

I think they're cool, but they fit so well into my life. pocket capacity. Ease of connectivity. Great sound quality. the issues of where it won't respond is based on iOS for more issues similar to what happens with plug-in headphones, but it's not as big of a problem as when you have these wireless headphones. I think you could design the case a bit. differently for the one-handed problem you were talking about, perhaps as if they just slide off from having a lid. I don't know, I mean there are other ways to do it. I think version 2, version 3 of these headphones are going to be really cool right now.

They are better than anything I've ever had and I'm honestly very happy with them. at least. So for now, Apple headphones are my new favorite headphones, very open to the next generation, they will probably become my favorite headphones. the rope thing fits in your pocket anyway that's it for this video do you think it looks good?
