Feb 27, 2020
Hey guys welcome to my channel so if you're new here my name is Mary and I love sharing with you all the May project I have going on here so it's been a while since I made a video like this with you. you know Christmas is right behind us of course I was doing a lot of you know Christmas stuff and I'm so excited today to make a

trash

video to

treasure

always one of my favorites so first of all I have this old truck that I debated just throwing in because the top is really a little bent and it looks like someone sat on it once and it looks pretty rough, but I started looking at it and thought surely there's something I can do with it to fix it up a little, so I have some

idea

s and I'll see what I can figure out with them next year.

I have these cans. My cats are pretty pampered once a day. I'll give them canned cat food. They usually only get the crunchy kind, but at night you should give it to them. to each a small spoonful of the canned kind just to give it a different flavor. I guess it always bothers me to release these cans because I feel like there are so many things that can still be done with them and then the last item is what I was sitting on here. It's an old worn out

office

chair

, my son had it in his room and we got him a new one for Christmas so I was going to feature this one until I started looking at it too and thought of something I could do.

More Interesting Facts About,

With this I'm not sure whether or not it will come out right on the edge of maybe not looking good, but I'm going to give it a try. I'm sure one of these times I'll probably screw something up here. in a cool

treasure

video but I guess I'll take you with me while I do it so join me as I work on all this stuff and enjoy so my plan with this

chair

is to remove the seat part and then spray paint the part. bottom the wheels and maybe add a wooden seat again. I'm not really sure how this will look because the bottom is quite wide and I don't want my seat to be just huge and I found a piece of wood at the Buy that I thought would work so we'll see how it looks so what I plan to do with the seat here is to add some words to it just to give it a sort of seal look.

I guess you could call it our little antique. Well, maybe I even just printed this document here, I just made up a company name, some information, there's nothing real here guys, but what I plan to do is print this design here on parchment paper and as you can see , it's backwards that way. once I apply it to the seat here, you'll be able to read it and I think what I'll do here is just put it over the edge, some of the words might go over the edge, I think I want. look for this, I don't know, we'll see what it looks like once I get it here and I always print my stuff on plain paper first just to make sure I know exactly where I want to place it since I don't have much time before the ink dries on the parchment paper, so here is the design on the parchment paper.

It got a little stained. I think the paper curl got caught and inside the printer I sometimes tape it up. I transferred it to plain paper just to make it a little stiffer so it wouldn't get stuck, but luckily that didn't happen and I thought these lines would just add some character, so for this old chair or stool I marked on the bottom of the wood where I would need to drill holes to fit and screws and I had to level it a bit with pieces of wood since the plate I seat r2 on was not level.
I guess

chairs probably wouldn't be quite right. level, so my plan for these tins is to actually make some candles. I've never done this before of course, I have a lot of candles in my Etsy shop, but I have a local lady pour them for me and I'm done. I'm starting to get some wax from her, so I'm going to try making some candles for the first time, and as for the tins, I'm planning on wrapping paper or stickers or something, but to give them to her. a cute little design of some kind and I'm planning on painting them too.
I want the base to be white even though there is some snow melting here and there, it's pretty mild here for January here in Ohio of course that could all change in the next half day but now I can paint here and I don't really I'm afraid it won't dry. I created some designs that I want to wrap around the sides of these cans. I know it's a little early for I Think of Spring, but I really wanted to do something a little spring-like in this video and I thought I'd probably wait to burn these candles until spring anyway so it would be more appropriate.
I went ahead and printed these designs on a sticker. paper but you can also use regular copy paper or cardstock and then stick it on the sides so I want to heat this wax to 180 and then cool it to about 130 and add my essential oils and I looked it up online and it looks like I need about a hundred drops of essential oils per pound of wax, which is what I'm melting here as one, so it was very difficult to get a nice, even layer here for the first layer. Things I had to know. I paint around all these little metal parts, but I think after another coat it should look better.
I had really debated if I just wanted to keep this piece black, it would have been a lot easier to paint it, but I think I'll like it better. white and what I have in mind for it and I also debated whether to paint all the metal parts white, but I think it will look better once it's finished if you leave them as is, so they somehow stand out more. It gives more character to the piece, so I pulled these wheels from another old piece of furniture and thought they would look great on the bottom of the

trunk

, but they are very dirty.
Go ahead and try cutting a little bit, so I was initially planning on. Adding a wooden top to this piece, I think I had mentioned it before and since then I have decided to see if I can straighten the top as it is here or the top without adding wood, if that doesn't work I always can. you know, add the wood or something else or a top. I think what I can do here is put a couple pieces of wood here and a lid and see if I can push it up. He wanted to make some stencils on the top of his church.
I initially used my Silhouette Cameo for the bathroom floor. I ended up using our bathroom floor for the last three. My shortcut to the page I use is just when I often use their top brand paint. It has a satin color. It's bright white, I think. Thank you all very much for watching this video. I hope you enjoyed it and maybe feel inspired to not throw something away. Try to reuse or recycle it somehow. It is fun. I hope everyone is having a great week and I'll see you around. in the next video goodbye
