shows

can't achieve, so today we're going to dive deep into the depths of the children's programs and watch the first three. Unsettling Moments We might find some rules, however, one show per entry, though each entry might have different

from its show, the show must be something known, so it's not foreign, sorry Mr. a nosy bunk and, finally no anime with that being said lets start with the ultimate enemy Danny Phantom despite being a show about ghosts any ghost is rarely scary as its

Vlad treated Danny with great sympathy, unfortunately it didn't help much. Good for Danny, he asked Vlad to remove the human half of him so he wouldn't have to suffer human emotions anymore. He reluctantly does so, but now, without human awareness of him, Danny's ghost form does the unthinkable: he tears Vlad's form from him and merges with it. the malice and evil within vlad's ghost form is too much to handle and turns danny into an irredeemable monster what happened to my human some things i think are better than that nonsense i mean you can see how messy this episode is going to be right from the title card showing a bean and a bruised Danny barely holding his own against this shadowy future self and everything about the future Danny is just haunting from his transformation scene to his complete lack of it of empathy, the fact that the main characters we've come to know are just killers is another shocking detail that you don't usually watch Nickelodeon

Rocko's Modern Life is one of Nickelodeon's most surreal and insane shows of '90s jokes and the visual humor was of little to no consequence, leading to some absolutely fantastic antics, but we're not here to talk about funny stuff at all. times in surreal 'no Statten favor of the The show's humor can also go a bit too far in the tenth episode of the series Cabin Fever, the bigheads go on vacation to a mountain cabin, however, when they get there, they discover that Rocco and Heifer rented the exact same house. abin leading them to have to spend the weekend together as always mrs. bighead is fine with this, but mr. big head is 100% no eventually an avalanche occurs trapping them inside the cabin mr. bighead tries to dig through the snow later that night, but ends up nearly freezing to death half awake mr.

nature. they are introduced to an original villain named Earthmover, a man made entirely of dirt throughout the episode. Terry's friend, Jackie Wallace, feels that she is constantly being watched. Well, it turns out that she is being watched by the titular Earthmover or at least his dirty henchmen, Jackie assured. that the villain is one of the enemies of his adoptive father after the attack of the dirty men.
Jackie's adoptive father's bill reveals that her real father, Tony, is the villain and that it is his fault that he became like this 10 years earlier. Bill and Tony started a company. and had to dispose of toxic waste; however, they couldn't afford to do it properly, so Bill threw them into a sealed mine shaft. Tony was reluctant. of this worried that there would be dire repercussions but bill offered him a partnership to gain his trust a cave-in occurs trapping Tony underground with the toxic waste thinking he is dead bill adopts Jackie to make up for his mistake however the toxic waste caused Tony to merge with the earth itself creating an earth mover and the current Bill and Jackie get trapped underground where they find out what Tony really looks like it can't be but it's you it's not you it's him you're my father yes Jackie and this is what you He Made the Accident: He tries to kill Bill and get Jackie back, but Batman shows up and saves the day when another cave-in happens, killing the earth mover for good.
This episode isn't just disturbing because of the look of the land. the engine itself, but also the scenario of meeting a long lost family member who is completely unhinged, the preconception that whoever you created in your head will be completely torn apart must be a truly terrifying situation to be in. in kudos to the writing team they could have easily made the foster father the true villain and made him a complete but instead they showed that both sides are equally in the wrong and the right beam madsen all grown up all grown up it was a weird show, taking the rugrats each for 10 years and then putting them in awkward situations, like watching tommy try to make it out with a girl, it has nothing to do with the original rugrats when it comes to weird and disturbing moments, but we're here to talk about the one time all adults managed to reach that level this moment comes to us from the interview of the two part episode is with a campfire in the form of a character named Madsen Bean as a character that appears only in the special and introduces the children to Camp Everwood by telling the stories of all the scary things that supposedly happened at camp.
Tommy finds the perfect opportunity to create his own horror movie, but things get too real when the kids start disappearing towards the climax. Bean is revealed to be no ordinary boy and is in fact the ghost of a boy who died in 1871 along with other settlers due to an extremely cold winter. Bean was probably looking for the souls of other dead colonists and thanks to Dill and the others. he was finally able to be put to rest, but not before giving them quite a scare at the end of the episode, the gang reviewing the footage they took for the horror movie when a scene none of them ever filmed pops up. go oh brain the scene shows levitating lightning bolt with red eyes saying never have anything to bring or anything.
I have no idea what that means, but it sure scared the hell out of the Rugrats. Supernatural beings are never actually mentioned in the Rugrats. the other is a little cue from the adult valentines day episode it's weird and disturbing moments where he was clearly happy with their help so i guess he decided to scare them for shits and giggles vintage invader zim when C The disturbing moments of Invader Zim features them in abundance orange of this series is disturbing for two reasons, one that takes place in the context of the show and another in real life in the episode Dark Harvest Zim discovers that none of his organs resemble those of a human . not at all, which causes problems when he has a case of head visions and has to go to the nurse and realizes that the nurse will discover his alien organs.
Zim decides to steal the organs from the humans at school by putting inanimate objects in their place after stealing the organs. Of almost all the students in the school, Zim is now a fat, fluid-losing mess with intestines nearly bursting at the seams. It's a sickening and disturbing sight and raises the question of how Nickelodeon even approved this episode. The theme is so far from any nick. ever dealt with is utterly bizarre, while the episode is dark and haunting in its own right, things get even darker when we catch a glimpse of Leske's Scott in October 15, 2005, Leske's Murdered Neighbor Pamela Vitaly.
He was a minor and 16 years old at the time, so he did not qualify for the death penalty and was instead sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole during his trial. Clearly de Leske was fascinated with organs and often talked about breaking children's necks and wondered how the human body would function without certain organs. Two teens who testified stated that he was only joking about those comments, though those same teens also claimed that he is non-violent and that is clearly untrue, so this Invader Zim episode could have inspired a real life murder. It's hard to say without any conclusion. evidence, but it may very well not help if those ideas were already present in de les Kee's bat-like mental transformation that Bane gets too much poison and the Joker poison batman the animated series batman the animated series is well known for being incredibly mature and treat her audience with respect and integrity some heavy topics are addressed on the show and her willingness to never speak ill of children is one of the reasons why she has become in the eyes of many the Definitive animated version of the caped crusader, of course, and without shying away from darker, more mature themes, some haunting moments come naturally with the territory, hit it home and are throughout the series. focus on three of them instead of just one, the first of these moments comes to us from the episode on leather wings, in this episode we are introduced to the man-bat, a creature that is confused with Batman, the man-bat is in actually a researcher named Kirk Langstrom, who was transformed into the creature after an experiment investigating bats, as the next evolutionary step went awry when Kirk reveals who he is to Batman.
The chicken transforms right before his eyes complete with close-ups of her teeth with a demonic laugh and his body shifts as his clothes rip to reveal his terrifying new form. The next moment is about being in the episode. the man who promises to break the bat if you know Bane then you know he uses chemically engineered poison to become super strong well at the climax of the episode Batman breaks Bane's poison tube causing an obscene amount to enter his bloodstream this is too much for him to handle and his muscles grow to a grotesque size as his veins and eyes bulge out as he screams in pain luckily batman disconnects the tubes but for a moment it looked like we were about to witness an overdose on screen our last moment comes from the episode The Laughing Fish, in which the Joker releases a toxin in the Gotham Harbor that causes all fish to mutate into a Joker fish with a big toothy grin as it turns out the chemical is lethal to humans and the Joker you simply want to register the fish and earn a percentage on everything that is sold at work in the port. the Joker responds where the threat is later the Joker follows through on that threat and since a toxic gas enters the worker's house by breathing, the worker starts laughing which slowly grows into a crazy laugh reminiscent of the Joker despite the upset. smile on his face, you can see by the look in his eyes how much pain he is in.
Batman shoots him with an antidote but the image will be forever etched in our skulls, exactly how much pain the Joker is in we will never know and maybe that's for the best mr had her. Meaty Once Nickelodeon did a show made up entirely of ugly puppets selling meat to equally ugly puppets that was titled Mr. meaty and featured two teenagers, Josh and Parker, who work at the incumbent fast food restaurant, getting into all sorts of mischief. The show was not well received, especially by vegetarians and parents who did not appreciate the abundance of meat and gross humor.
The network received many requests to end a show that may have played a role in its short existence ultimately, even though it managed to introduce a host of disturbing moments during its two seasons, most infamously the tapeworm in the mooch episode. The Master P episode begins with Parker taking advantage of Josh's lunch, much to his chagrin, he continues to take everyone to the food court until he earned the title of mall bum, eventually stooping to the low level of eating the raw burgers they plan to Serve customers, no matter the weird stuff. it begins to occur after eating the raw burger Parker discovers that the food is disappearing before his eyes before he can eat it, he is unable to deliver the food orders as they disappear into thin air.
Josh records Parker trying to eat and then plays it back in slow motion, revealing that there is now a huge tapeworm living inside his stomach thanks to the wrong burger he ate to get the tapeworm out by ripping it out of Parker's stomach and stuffing it into his arm, where she wanders around afterwards, an australian man approaches and asks to buy her for a zoo, the children agree to shake hands, she passes it to him and then the man swallows her whole which is the mystery of scooby-doo from the factory Dolls Incorporated Despite Being Called The Wrath Of The Krampus This Is Not A Christmas Mystery Episode Scooby-Doo Incorporated Talks About A Missed Opportunity What It Is However Is An Eerie Ride Through An Abandoned Doll Factory That According To cartoon law, it must be unnecessarily scary Shaggy calls it super creepy, which is an understatement given that the factory is full of ultra-realistic dolls that clash with the art style. e simple and cartoonish from the show with their hollow eyes and dried blobs of red paint resembling blood, the dolls leave a frightening but short impression until their heads start to turn and they start talking because then they leave a frightening and short impression lasting, it's unclear why or how these dolls spoke, but given the existence of the supernatural in this series as opposed to the original, the dolls could be possessed if there's one thing people don't want to get into in a scooby-doo episode is rotten baby dolls with no eyes the alien invasion eddie eddie eddie in one of ed edd n eddy's few half hour long specials titled eds is coming jimmy has a nightmare in which aliens attack the cul-de-sac and actually take an entire area.
Hearing the premise and knowing the nature of the show, one might assume that the nightmare is very comical with the stereotypical little green alien men. ígenas invading ray guns. However, we are treated to a huge circular saw that falls out of nowhere. open the sky sending out many more of these buzzers with the menacing barbed mechanical tentacles swooping in and capturing a terrified Sara Jimmy now bruised and beaten desperately tries to reach Sara but falls into one of the newly formed cracks clinging to life , the two try to get closer to each other by calling out each other's name, but of course it's no use.
Jimmy's grip weakens and he falls to his death while he is another. case of oh it's just a dream this nightmare actually traumatized us Jimmy so that we have PTSD flashbacks throughout the episode this is amplified by Jonny's claims that there are actually aliens in the dead end and that they are trolls Things get even stranger. when they find a glowing green meteor in the playground and a hand comes out of it, the hand turns out to be EDS, who claims that the aliens experimented on him and tried to sacrifice Nazz to the aliens which in the end turned out to be Ralph's alone. strange family, so no harm, no fault or is it that at the end the aliens from Jimmy's dream are seen taking the dead end, who or what are the roles of the family actually teeth for cat dog in the episode teeth for fr om cat dog, we are treated to a quick and nasty scene featuring everyone's favorite disgusting gag and bloody skinned cat animation in this episode to go to the dentist to find out that if you don't take care of your teeth, they are the others are affected the dog eats disgusting amounts of junk food and never brushes yet it's the cat that has all the cavities the cat tries to get the dog to take care of his teeth so he doesn't suffer anymore but it's no use the dog won't listen and they struggle chewing things like aluminum foil to hurt their teeth which hurts just thinking about it later that night the cat tries to brush the dog's teeth while he sleeps instead of just moving ering towards the dog and opening its mouth the cat decides to go through its skin and comes out of the dog's mouth upon awakening and the dog shares the same reaction that all of us would have and is terrified the fear turned to anger and swallows the cat again new in his own skin and the two got into yet another food fight sabotaging each other's teeth cat dog is an odd concept for a show that barely scratches the surface of all the weird and disturbing things the two of them are capable of this is one of those things we wish would stay below the surface horror toad mighty morphin power rangers rarely make the monster out of costumes and power rangers ever give off a creepy or disturbing vibe they are usually unintentionally funny and if anything the terror toad is funny and disturbingly creepy in episode 12 of the original series titled Power Ranger Punk's the evil babu slips a drink potion kimberly and billy essentially drug them into being pompous idiots while these two are off duty Rita Repulsa creates a new monster to wipe out the remaining Rangers the terror toad the unnerving thing about the terror toad is not just its haunting design but also the fact that he eats the power rangers and pokes his face out of a stomach the way he devours the rangers is so disturbing and grotesque the disgusting use of his teeth and the gagging noises he makes doesn't do him any favors either the scene after eating both the yellow and black Rangers the Red Ranger is forced to face the terre tote alone, luckily Alpha and Zordon are able to heal Kimberly and Billie allowing them to transform back into the Pink Rangers and blue to help Red in his fight.
Zordon informs them that to defeat the terror they must cut off its horns and then attack the weak point in its neck. The Pink Ranger shoots arrows into its throat freeing its other Rangers and a final attack kills it by shooting an arrow into its mouth the episode ends with them playing an innocent game of volleyball at the rec center they talk about a change of tone Terra Toth thankfully never appears again with the exception that he is in flashbacks he was also the third monster readers never enlarged on. I mean, he had a giant alien chicken dragon for crying out loud, but the show's tone for its final season turned weird even by his own standards.
One moment in particular that highlights this change in tone is in episode One of Us. Carl about a new show he's been watching called the happy show and everyone should watch it because it will make them happy. Jimmy ignores him and goes to do some weird things on his computer like Photoshop him and his crushes head to wedding photos, however Sheen is relentless and won't stop pestering Jimmy to watch a show soon enough. Jimmy begins to notice that everyone acts differently, being uncomfortably friendly with each other. Oh, Libby, did you just turn the music off? I'm happy to see you. he watches the happy show shows last night his crush Betty convinces him to try it out so that night he turns it on and is greeted by a nice old lady named grandma taters watches 10 seconds before tur takes it out of his head because it's that bad and promptly takes it off of the head.
The next day at school, all the kids are desperately trying to get Jimmy to give him another chance. At her house that night, he sees her looking through the window and realizes that the show is hypnotizing people. Soon, the whole town is after Jimmy trying to force him to watch a show. Luckily, Cindy, who just got back from a karate competition, hasn't been affected yet. so to track down granny taters to put an end to this after defeating her it is revealed that she is an alien and there are actually multiple granny taters well baby the happy show is actually a parody of a taiwanese kids show from real life named fruitcake which is a bit awkward to watch in itself, but is ultimately harmless; however, it is disconcerting to think of such an innocent program brainwashing people like this, Jessie's nightmare and Michelle's nightmare. home, if there's a show that definitely doesn't belong anywhere on a list of haunting moments, it's full, the show is a living, breathing Hallmark card that doesn't seem to have a hint of malice or darkness anywhere, despite all of that is here for a reason and those reasons are in the episodes my left and right foot and the seven month itch part one both moments can be quickly explained as they are dreams and therefore don't really happen but that doesn't it's like that take away how strange they are first we have jessie's nightmare on the seven month itch part 1 Jessie is upset that everyone is in his personal bubble and asking too much later that night it's a nightmare where two Michels walk into the room and begins demanding that he feed them and change their diapers.
This was at a point in the series where Michelle was not speaking, so Dave Collier dubbed her into a shrill, awkward voice. My God, there are two Michels, they are multiple. The rest of the family then show up making annoying and ridiculous requests with a fisheye lens camera focusing on their faces, distorting them and making them look very disturbing. Our second nightmare comes in my left and right foot where Michelle starts to feel self-conscious about how her feet are getting bigger then they are treated with a nightmare where her feet grow to a ridiculous size on screen accompanied by a loud banging noise. stretching the feet continue to grow until they are the size of the entire room the family is terrified and the only reasonable thing they can think of to do is tickle them Michelle wakes up screaming grateful that it was only a dream she pulls off the covers to see her feet feet are still huge to his horror luckily that was also a dream The walrus Pingu the walrus is a mysterious character who only appears once in the entire series in the episode Pingu airs throughout his dream, the walrus follows pingu in what he believes to be in a playful manner, is a pingu, however this is very frightening and disturbing given the size and behavior of the walrus when do pingu meets the walrus at the beginning, he appears from the stage abruptly snorting with a deep voice, he traps pingu under an igloo and then stretches and squeezes him for his amusement then takes pingu's mattress and starts eating him why does he eat the mattress is beyond us after slowly walking away Pingu who books and runs until he slips and falls down an icy slope he falls and falls until he reaches the floor of his room it turns out that the slope was just his sheets, pingu's mother lo she calls as he sobs and tells her all about his scary dream and the walrus that stalked him, the walrus is an unsettling character thanks to his mostly silent demeanor, staring uncomfortably with his dead black eyes or childishly snorting when he takes his playful banter too far, it also has weirdly realistic human teeth instead of tusks which doesn't help the situation, the walrus was so uncomfortable for the kids that the epi sodium was placed on an unofficial broadcast distribution ban, was removed from British television in 2003 and was withdrawn from broadcast in the United States, was also not released on VHS in the UK despite the censorship it managed to get out to air once on PBS KIDS sprouted in 2006, there was actually an earlier version of this episode that featured the walrus roaring and making disturbing squeals, this was changed to laughs due to how scary the noises were for kids to end this entry , it's awkward the scene with the walrus speaking german in the fall of the creator is the real gutman show don't sum it up for that cause i know you hear zombie grandpa hey arnold in the part time friends episode of hey arnold , both Arnold and Gerald decide they need part-time jobs. and they decided to start working together at Miss Vitello's flower shop at first the boys are delighted to work together thinking of all the fun they will have however soon my ss Vitello gets injured and leaves Gerald in charge of the shop Arnold finds out that Gerald is much better friend than boss and they start to fight Arnold quits and the two swear never to speak to each other again later that night Grandpa Phil tells Arnold about how he and his friend Jimmy Kafka argued as kids and never spoke againwords haunt Arnold throughout the night and eventually lead to a nightmare and nightmare Arnold and Jarrell meet on the bus seventy years later the two still aren't talking to each other but have forgotten why they even started fighting suddenly, voice distorted from Grandpa Phil taunts Arnold from the back of the bus and says what did I tell you little boy?
We see the disgusting rotting corpse of Grandpa Phil. laughing at Arnold until his jaw drops, what the hell, why did he have to be there? He certainly does his job by scaring Arnold into forgiving Gerald and helping him with the store, but why me? Humby's grandpa is an idiot and why is he on the bus? Where he goes? I guess we'll never know, frankly we shouldn't know about the haunted house. The first four seasons aired on Cartoon Network, and while it was violent, it was never too much to cross into adult territory. Of course, season five changed all that with blood oaths and other adult themes airing exclusively on Adult Swim, given the series' more subdued tone.
However, the first four seasons and the fact that many kids watched it at this point in season 3 episode Jack in the Haunted House deserves to be on the list while alone at night Jack meets a sobbing girl, she she runs away when he approaches her and he follows her. he takes her to an old house while she is in the house, Jack experiences various visions of the people who once lived there and the monster that attacked them. Jack soon finds the girl and suggests they leave, but later discovers that they all do. doors and windows have disappeared with nowhere to go the two decide to rest and he wakes up to find the missing girl and hears music and talk in the distance he walks into a well lit room and finds the girls sitting around the table with the others family members at first, Jack is wary, but as soon as T and Smalltalk calm him down, the facade doesn't last long, though as the brothers' eyes slowly roll into a skull, the music distorts and flashes of the real ruin state of the ruins begin to appear. seeps into the brother hunches back and begins to drool excessively the mother and father then do the same a dark substance oozes from their mouths destroying their bodies and turning into a demon at the end jack defeats the demon and frees the members of the family but that happy ending doesn't erase the awful tone and setting of most of the episode.
Everything about this episode feels off from the lack of background music to the way the demon is animated. The fact that we never found out who or what the demon is or where it came from. from is equally unsettling unlike a punch and the other villains the demon has given absolutely no comedic moments count to ten with no one sesame street most of the shows on this list have been geared towards kids around the age 10 Wow, kids are still able to handle scary moments from time to time, but what about a show aimed at preschoolers like Sesame Street, the character limbo also often referred to as Nobody Was A Muppet Who Disappeared Almost As Abruptly As Presented Is Composed Of Two Floating Eyes And A Mouth On A Black Background That Speaks In A Deep, Calm Voice That Is Ten One More Time Let's Count To Ten On Sesame Street seems to teach the children to count for which was not initially created on that show, Jim Henson originally created limbo for his surreal short film titled limbo the organized mind let me show you how it is does in case you want to try it just first go to the brain you have to go through its cool stuff like breathing in heartbeat the glands or controls where the character talks about the human subconscious over pictures of fog and cockroaches by what made the move to sesame street is beyond us maybe henson doesn't want his pu pppets to waste it's great though i don't think this is something two year olds want to stare into their souls the masks the skin of goosebumps I guess with a series like Aurel Stein's goosebumps some scary and unsettling moments come with a territory however the events that occur in the episode The Haunted Mask are notable for being that episode every series has an episode in which that you get up, even if you are already expecting something scary based on the eleventh book in the series.
The haunted mask is a two. -part of the episode that follows Carly Beth, a girl who is sick and tired of being seen as shy and scared as Halloween approaches. She refuses to wear the cute duck costume her mom made for her, and instead she searches for something really scary so she can come back. to her friends and anyone else who has taunted her in a mysterious costume shop, she finds an absolutely grotesque mask that she is sure will scare her friends and that the creepy shop owner will not sell. but to be fair, he offers her a gorilla mask, but she ends up stealing it and running out of the store after putting it on to scare her brother.
She discovers that it takes her a while to remove the mask from her face. she also discovers that the mask has made her voice creepier and more threatening the more she puts on the mask, the more it begins to take over her body, she becomes a completely different person while wearing the mask and even attacks others. his own friends. he gets to the point where he can't take off his mask because it has been fused with his face, he goes back to the costume shop but the shopkeeper says that taking it off is no use, only an act of true love can take the masks off and he is losing ending up. she of time she still she awake what are they doing?
A bunch of other disgusting skins in the shop started floating in the air and then chased her to a nearby graveyard. She later realizes that the act of true love that she can remove the mask is equally ugly and disturbing. mold of her head of her that her possibly psychotic mother of hers made her, you know, because love of hers, I guess earlier that night, buries her in the same graveyard where her masks have haunted her. the masks chasing her get scared of their own mask and then they take it off and carly throws the abomination near the door instead of burning it her brother puts his hands on it and puts it on and the horror starts again having something stuck to your face is not a pleasant thought, especially if it is something that slowly takes over your body masks and in general are made of latex smell foul and irritate the skin imagine one attached to you sucking the life out of you that is probably the furthest thing from a thought pleasurable that you may have Boris and the drug addiction of Captain Planet linkers, despite being mentioned in previous videos on this channel, it would be criminal not to mention the Captain Planet mind contamination episode on this list, this episode will be feels so real compared to many of the other entries on this list because of how it reflects the fears many of us have about our friends, family, or our loved ones. anyone you know who suffered from an addiction to a villain called verminous.
Scum is selling a highly addictive drug called bliss and Linkous's cousin Boris becomes addicted to it, while bliss is a made-up drug, it's a simple pill that one takes, making its connection to the drugs of the real life. pill in Linkous's food, making her addicted and eventually the planeteers have to fight a happiness-addicted mob desperate to do anything the scum says to get more happiness during the chaos. The scum gives Bourse a whole bottle of happiness in exchange for killing the planeteers. he quickly drinks half the bottle and overdoses die almost immediately, while most commentary on drug addiction can be a bit blunt, as is the case with many episodes of cartoon PSAs Older parallels with drug addiction in real life It's quite unsettling to see a main character like Linka turn pale with sunken cheeks and puffy eyes is unsettling and annoying. giving the user the effect of not feeling pain at least for a while.
Bliss users can smash windows with their bare fists and not feel anything similar to the rush of meth. I'm sure this episode worked and it prevented a lot of kids from taking drugs after watching the boring ones die fra bo Steven transforms into cats and the Steven universe group Steven universe is a show known for pushing the boundaries of what is common in the animation with which we see the darker side, the more disturbing and terrifying aspects and In the episode Holding It Together, we are introduced to the gem mutants, pieces of rift gems cruelly assembled and forced to fuse together when they take physical form that have. appearing as a misshapen and disgusting creature seeking more gems to complete upon first seeing them.
Garna has an emotional breakdown saying that both of them were together. They were posed and abused. This is bad. Sorry, so yeah, essentially violating this. it is multiplied by ten later, when we meet the group. The final product of the mutant gems is made up of thousands and thousands of gems broken in the center of the earth. They are constantly in pain, screaming and arguing forever, so walking away from the moments shows the darkest. sides of the social elements there are some moments that are downright scary in their own right in the episode Fry Bo we are treated to the character Fry Bo the fast food mascot was creepy enough but then he becomes sentient he grows veins and tentacles. and he starts force-feeding people fries when he attacks or is in pain, the noises he makes are downright demonic, thank goodness we haven't seen him since last season but sure.
No less important are the calf fingers in this episode. Stephan tries to hone his shapeshifting skills by turning into a cat as he is still pretty new to this he can only spin his fingers and a cat's stuff at first gets out of control and cats start growing out of every part of his body eventually turns into nothing more than a blob of cat dough I mean yeah it's kinda silly but the idea of why soon anything even cats is just disturbing even steven sounds mortified ever since steven already hasn't messed with shapeshifting and that's probably for the best speed demon Powerpuff Girls since we covered way earlier on the list with Danny Phantom seeing an alternate scary future from a show you're familiar with isn't a feeling good at all, that's the case in the Powerpuff Girls episode Speed Demon, the episode starts innocently enough with Buttercup waiting for the school day to end lar to finally be able to go on vacation with the other girl. s and the teacher to the Bahamas, the school day ends with the three girls running as fast as they can, Buttercup challenges the other girls to wipe out the home, which becomes incredibly intense, they finally reach the lab and go inside, but inside they find an old and miserable professor utonium is desperately trying to create a new group of Powerpuff Girls but to no avail seeing him drives them away calling them nothing more than hallucinations after running out of the lab the girls discover that all of Townsville has become a desolate wasteland to which they go to town hall to find an old crazy miss bellum in mourning for the now dead mayor as they approach her she yells at them to get out saying the mayor is hers next at their stop is the kindergarten where they find an old and senile Miss Keene, who incessantly greets by repeating the same sentence over and over again, the girls discover that they have been transported all 50 years in the future, a menacing laugh hangs over them, the one and only laughs at him, he explains that they went forward in time and everyone went to hell the girls took out their anger by hitting his other love, but it doesn't even faze him, he just stands up like nothing happened. he then grows to a monstrous size displaying his dominance over post-apocalyptic Townsville soon all of Townsville's zombified and senile citizens come out chanting you did this surrounding the girls hem claims he just took over but it was the girls who abandoned them the chants and music get louder and louder until the girls just can't take it anymore and run away as fast as they can, luckily they find themselves back in their own time with everyone back to normal the girls rushed to tell the professor everything that happened and then comes the realization that Townsville can't survive without the girls for even a week in the Bahamas and therefore the day was saved vacations canceled this episode is very upsetting given that The Mood Whip explodes from the rest of the series and seeing all these characters we know and love turn into old shadows s of themselves.
It wasn't just a dream either. This was a very real experience. Tommy Rugrats, as we mentioned earlier in the video, Rugrats isFull of unsettling moments as the series is shown through the eyes of babies, it makes sense that the world we see can be scary and unusual as babies don't have the knowledge and sense of the world that we adults make up after being told that there are some things in this series that would make even adults stay up at night, that's why we're looking at some select scenes from the series, as there were too many to choose from first From the episode and Jellico's worst nightmare, we were treated with the worst.
Angelica's imagination can create a new baby brother, something straight from the start, but this baby is a huge, drooling, nasty tyrant that ends ea. ting the yikes of her next we have the mysterious mr. friend who had the owner mr. friend, an animatronic clown robot that has two designs as a toy for babies, unfortunately, like any normal child, they are terrified of mr. dude and also us in the audience not only is one of these dolls from hell bad enough soon enough tons were being developed in the basement a massive battle scene takes place where the babies fight like hell to decimate the robot clowns finally laying down to Mr.
Friend to rest, however one survives and finds its way to Angelica, who finds it amusing in a thrilling match made in hell. Lastly, it seems, perhaps the most infamous haunting moment of Rugrats comes to us from The Dreamtime episode. In this episode, Chucky has trouble telling the difference. the reality of his nightmares while in one of his nightmares a confused thick man asked Tommy what was going on right now it terrified a generation of kids and resulted in nightmares galore and if that wasn't enough they bring the scene back to the ending with a fake Stu Stu I didn't know you'd come in there talking about overkill Rugrats was always very good at nailing the feeling of a fever dream from the disturbing moments like in this episode to the more serene ones like in the episode sleepover clown nurses Lemongrab eats Lemongrab and the deer from Adventure Time Adventure Time is weird to say the least, it's definitely one of the most influential cartoons of the last decade for sure and that's partly due to its unique sense of humor, that sense of humor often it's very strange and dry and messy and sometimes you can go too far and end up in the most unsettling territory where you wonder if this was meant to be r funny or pure.
Nightmare Fuel we will see it in a few moments instead of just one because there are too many to choose from. The first moment comes from the episode. Another way Finn is treated by some clown nurses after a toe brace. Surprisingly, clown nurses are terrifying. and claiming kissing is the only way to cure it we have a nasty seizure inducing close up of the clown nurses laughing and claiming it's the only way yeah this episode really didn't do the clowns any favors our second moment It comes from another episode. five shorter graybles which is more or less a series of short stories strung together with one general theme one segment revolves around Lemongrab and his brother Lemongrab two arguing about what their lemon toy doll should do next Lemongrab two things he should leave to bed while Lemongrab one things I should dance to after a fight the doll breaks and Lemongrab one scares my side table that's literally how it ends we finally have the eerily titled episode no one can hear you the entire episode Kenny people disappear left On the right, a conflict arises between Finn and Jake that causes Finn to believe that Jake has been kidnapping the candy people to use as a birthday surprise for him after finding the candy people lost in the sewer, however, Peppermint Butler explains that Jake It's not who did this.
So sorry. that the real culprit was this darling, the look on this deer's face is the very essence of strange danger, it's terrifying to defeat ohm and Princess Bubblegum reve als that the deer just wanted his sugar but got nothing Tom and Jerry left Tom and Jerry committed suicide this is a moment we've talked about time and time again and for good reason despite its age it stands as one of the most disturbing moments in cartoon history in the episode blue cat blues from Tom and Jerry the episode starts right away with Tom sitting on the train tracks waiting to die Jerry watches from a bridge above knowing that when he gets home his friends will ask why didn't he try to stop him?
Jerry thinks it's better this way that we're treated to a flashback where we see Tom falling in love with a beautiful white cat, the two started dating and everything seems great until he meets Mr. Butch, a much richer cat, leaves Tom and immediately leaves with Butch, leaving Tom heartbroken and Jerry in an I told you so state, so Tom desperately tries to win her back by buying her gift after gift, but to no avail. The witch's gifts are much better. and the most elegant heartbroken and broken in general tom falls into a deep depression and begins to drown his sorrows and milk is treated like alcohol here jerry begs him to stop but tom lets himself go down the gutter literally jerry resuscitates him but as soon as he wakes up, he sees his ex-girlfriend and her hunk drive by in a car that says just married, so we're left where we started with Tom sitting on the train tracks.
Jerry thinks to himself about how his own girlfriend would never do such a thing. as he's always been faithful, well just then his girlfriend drives by with another mouse in a car that also says just married, Jerry goes down to the tracks and joins Tom waiting for death, the episode ends as we hear a train whistle . growing stronger what a dark and haunting theme for an episode suicide and depression is not something you would think to associate with tom and jerry but here is an entire episode dedicated to it outside me from spongebob square pants oh god does this one always scared me how can you terrorize a bunch of kids in just a few seconds?
I just threw in a little reality and you're golden and the season 2 episode was me, SpongeBob and Patrick taking care of Sandy's pets while she's away. out of town, the two meet the head of the war, me, who are finally the most precious damn thing on earth after having an amazing day with Wormy the Tule by day and by night Wormy goes through a metamorphosis which reveals that it's not a worm at all, it's a caterpillar. two came back the next day and found this disgusting horrible creature sitting on the worms corpse which is actually just a zombie cocoon the butterfly escapes from the jar and lands on SpongeBob's glass shards where we get a nice close up and then another and then again it turns out the close up footage of the butterfly was not a butterfly at all or rather a horsefly taken from an episode of Bill Nye the Science Guy where he discusses how insects make up their eyes they work just something about the bugs up close really freaked me out and the fact that it happens over and over again in this episode is just terrifying the shapeshifter slashes the ancient sins gravity falls gravity falls is a show that is riddled with themes and imagery dark and disturbing that goes directly against the purely family image that Disney projects, I mean, in the encryption of the final invoice it directly states that it is going to conv Dump the children into corpses when I put them in my hands, children.
I'll take your Molecule apart yikes, while there were many disturbing moments throughout the series, two in particular take the cake, the first one comes to us from the second episode of the second season titled in the bunker in this episode the pris m The Journal de Asterius leads the group to a hidden underground bunker where they encounter a hideous creature, the shapeshifter, as evidenced by its name. This is a creature that can take the shape of whatever it wants. This creature was foreshadowed in season 1 in the form of a warning. In dippers journal, well that warning is not to be taken lightly as this is an extremely dangerous and vicious foe, so is voiced by Mark Hamill, the king of villain animated voice acting, so you just know what you're getting fuck this forum might even be more disgusting than his true form he's a pale slimy insect with deformed limbs you'll never find the author you can keep digging you'll find our fate words you can imagine and this will be the last form you'll ever take huh good luck sleeping this Tonight comes our second moment of the Northwest Mansion Mystery episode in which a silicone or you recruiters help to get rid of a ghost who intends to ruin the party they're throwing sounds like a simple l little plot on paper until the ghost actually shows up, first blood starts oozing from all the severed animal heads on the wall, yes real blood at a show from Disney, the animal heads then begin to sing an ancient prayer over and over again as the ghost emerges from the fire and to make matters worse the only advice Dippers Journal has is to pray for mercy, knuckles, hallucination, the cat, flapjacks, the nightmare and the end of the world, the wonderful misadventures of flapjack, the wonderful misadventures of flapjack, is a show that takes pleasure in making its audience uncomfortable and disgusted.
Outside of its constant use of hyper-realistic close-ups and disturbing black humor, it feels like the show just made it for this list, first comes the episode K'nuckles and a Solarium where K'nuckles is revealed to be a candy addict. that he does act drunk at his lowest point. He goes through a hallucination that is more than just a little knuckles. He is tied to a raft in the ocean like Mint. Larry and Dr. the groomer ominously informs him that the only solution to his problem is candy surgery, he then sticks peppermint's arms down and vomits candy into his mouth from his knuckles, next we see the cat from the episode who let the cats out of the House of Old Bags Flat Jack meets a seemingly normal cat who he begins to play with, then we see what this cat looks like up close and personal.
I believe i know it. Yeah, that's not a pretty picture. He acknowledged that they are just there. Next up is the flapjacks nightmare from teehee tommy-toms episode in this scene. Flat Jack has a nightmare about meeting someone called the strange comb who gives combs in exchange for candy. The exchange between the two is quite nice at first with flapjack delighted to receive a free comb, the mood changes quickly once the stranger with the comb says he got the bugs out of his hair, luckily the real stranger with the comb in the episode it's nothing like that but you just d Don't forget something like that lastly we will see the end of the world from episode How the West Was fun in this episode flapjack and k'nuckles head west for the first time believing that the mythical candied island is found in it. direction after suffering many hardships, the two become so dehydrated that they must drink seawater creating a nightmare like hallucination world where they see a candied island but it melts into a fiery inferno, the whole world turns as red and black as a virtual boy as the two desperately try to get away from the now growing domain the candied island has melted into, they find themselves in the bathtub of a sea monster that tossed them into a whirlpool, well sure there are plenty of hallucinations and scary dreams in the show is there no return? the slab you're not perfect Fred Courage the Cowardly Dog let's jump right into this one everyone knew Courage the Cowardly Dog would show up in this book somehow. that you can probably think of at least 10 moments that left you sleepless at school the next day.
The first is the infamous quote that slapped back. of the curse of King Ramses in this episode of Courage finds an ancient Egyptian slab from his country house worth a million dollars Eustace refuses to return it to the Touma from which it came and the family must face the wrath of the curse that returning brings the slab or suffer You will be visited by three, each one worse than the last turn, unlike the rest of the show which is done in 2d animation, the ghost of Ramses is a rather forced full 3d model giving it a scary and scary look otherworldly since the episode aired in 2000 the TV CGI wasn't what we know it now so the models were a bit more clunky and weird, if anything adds to the unsettling nature there's just something about the old 3d models In the terrifying and speaking of old 3d models our next entry comes from the perfect series finale this episode has an evil schoolteacher name with the perfectionist to come and try to make courage perfect. ect, only courage can see her employing that she is part of his imagination, courage undergoes a fair amount of stress trying to be perfect and soon discovers that he can't sleep without nightmares of imperfection specifically this, understandably, this scares him and he decides that maybe sleeping is not the best idea right now, this thing just comes out of nowhere with this shocking animation style, designabstract, baggy eyes and soft whispery voice, there is a feeling of sadness in him, as if this creature knows something that courage does not know, maybe it is not perfect either, who knows, fortunately, we do not have to think about it because it still does we have. another huh moment to cater to the last minute comes from freaky fred episode in this episode we meet Eustace and me, Riyal's nephew Fred, a hairdresser with a big tooth. and smiles, Fred likes to talk in rhyme and shave people against his will, in fact, he's absolutely obsessed with it when he musters up the courage and shaves it. as a kid-friendly way to show two dangers of a murderer or rapist someone who can't control their compulsive behavior and give in even though they heard them surround them, seems unrepentant afterwards, which gives off an overall sociopathic vibe. everyone cursed the name of the cowards in the disturbing moments, it's only fair that we honor those who are with us the most, the vampire, the pool zombie and the ghastly smile, are you afraid of the dark as if it gives you the skin of chicken?
That should come as no surprise there are some things seriously screwed up and the show are you afraid of the dark it's not just dark it's advanced darkness the first theme is the vampire from the episode the night shift queue i In this episode various hospital staff members they are taken out one by one by a vampire who has taken up residence in the basement. The main protagonist, Amanda, discovers that in order for the staff to return to normal, she must destroy the vampire's coffin. It turns out that one of the new volunteers Margaret is the vampire she reveals her true form turning from a young redhead to a green skinned demonic man with sharp yellow teeth blood red eyes and wispy white hair not the old fashioned Beth luckily they defeated him by burning his coffin, causing spontaneous combustion and flailing desperately before throwing himself from the hospital roof to end his suffering.
Next up is the infamous pool zombie from the tale of the dead man's float. The episode begins with a boy being dragged underwater. and drowned by an invisible force in your school pool it turns out the pool is built on top of you you guessed it a cemetery they forgot one of the bodies when they were going through the graves and now it's looking for blood the appearance of the zombie in the pool is disgusting with his exposed red flesh and partially decomposed body sitting in the water the thought of being grabbed and pulled underwater by such a creature is a horrible thought struggling and kicking as you desperately hold your breath but no matter what you do you can't seem to break free and things start to darken the last thing you'd see is that skeletal face pulling you down the last noteworthy moment is the ghastly grin of the aptly named ghastly grimace tail er the greener was initially created as a comic book character , but was able to be brought to life through strange methods that involve heating the comic in the microwave.
It is not very clear how it works. Grinner is a psychotic killer clown who imprisoned his creator. who was in the process of writing an issue where he dies now in the real world his goal is to victimize and torture as many people as possible just for fun he feeds on th their emotion and causes them to go crazy leaving them in a laughing mess and brainless drooling. The character closely resembles Batman's Joker, but in a more supernatural way. Whereas the Joker manages to be both funny and scary. he's good at it, luckily, at the end of the episode, the clown is locked in the comic book world and had his face erased so he doesn't see any more of that nightmare.
A smile. Ren contemplates the murder.happy of ren and stimpy holy this is the top dog oh haunting the peak of dark moments the absolute king of shin a children's show ren of ren and stimpy only ren he is the moment ren is quite sadistic abusive vain and mentally unstable often only through violent outbursts involving trying to murder Stimpy and others in the episode Stimpy's Fan Club the two receive lots and lots of fan mail all because of Stimpy Ren becomes increasingly jealous eventually losing the head deems his hands dirty due to responding to hundreds and hundreds of Stimpy fan mail essentially lying to the kids in his opinion, he states how easy it would be to end this charade with his dirty hands while helping a sleeping Stimpy moving forward slowly towards him before his brain starts to itch and makes him scream as the fires of hell rise up and consume him, thankfully Stimpy never a found out about Ren's assassination attempt, well for that instance in the episode, Spean, Hoek Ren's cousin, Spean messes with everyone. of his stuff, causing him to lash out at Samia and Stimpy, threatening them with all the ways he's going to torture them, yeah that's what I'm gonna do and then I'm gonna see your eyes.
What really makes this scene terrifying is the reminiscent calm. he left everything talking slowly with a bit of a smile on his face, it really shows how sadistic he is, he's going to take Whiz before he performs and luckily the episode ends after he gets electrocuted by buzzing in his favorite board game of the. don't jump the electronic fence all's well that ends well I guess eventually even Stimpy realizes how unhappy and disturbed Brenna is and tries to help him in the episode Stimpy's Invention Stimpy creates the happy helmet he's meant to control Ren's emotions and keeping him happy all the time this brings up one of the most well-known scenes in the entire series happy happy joy joy as Stimpy plays his favorite song for Ren it's obvious he's still in pain and desperately wants to take off his helmet I love it cleaning out 50 boxes of cats he finds a hammer and starts banging his head and be with the music while grinning with his helmet on now our friend grabs stimpy by the collar angrier than ever luckily he realizes he loves to be angry and tells him thanks stimpy for helping him realize it's pretty amazing how much the show got away with to be honest it blows my mind it's hard I don't know where the line was drawn with the show, but there was certainly one as they felt the need to make an adult-oriented spin-off titled the Ren & Stimpy adult party cartoon regardless of Ren and Stimpy, in my opinion their only screwed up show. .
