Jun 06, 2021
Greetings Pokefans! Miguel here. Earlier this week I texted my girlfriend Jubilee telling her that she was studying for a final exam she had this week. And when she was writing the text, I misspelled the word studying and it was automatically corrected as "still dying." So if you, like me, are going through finals right now, I hope this video makes you feel better and lifts your spirits, and I want you to know that I know you can do this and that you're going to do amazing. Pokémon Sun and Moon have given us a ton of new information about Pokémon, whether it's information about new Pokémon or new information about old Pokémon.

More Interesting Facts About,

Sliggoo is a pretty gross Pokémon, but it seems nice. However, some new information we got in Gen 7 is that he sometimes accidentally eats his friends. His Sun dex entry says: “He has trouble drawing a line between friends and food. He will calmly try to melt and eat even those he gets along with.” That's pretty complicated, but I can see why you sometimes make this mistake since the thing is blind. Although I don't plan on making friends with any Sliggoos just yet...just to be safe. Dex's entries for both Cubone and Mandibuzz have given us new insight into a previously unknown relationship between these two bone-centric Pokémon.

Apparently, Cubone's cries for his mother attract Mandibuzz, who proceeds to eat him. Those Mandibuzz then decorate themselves with the bones of Cubone and his mother to supposedly try to impress the males that don't exist. The Cubone that survive long enough to evolve seek revenge on Mandibuzz for eating their friends. I was surprised to discover this wild relationship between these Pokémon, but considering Cubone has bones that Mandibuzz wants, it's actually a pretty interesting new predator-prey relationship. Since Generation 3, Groudon has dominated the Pokémon weight rankings, and in Generation 6 it increased its lead with its Primal form weighing over 100 pounds.

But Groudon is no longer the heaviest Pokémon of all time. Cosmoem and Celesteela have officially outweighed Primal Groudon, two Pokémon that weigh 0.4 pounds more than Primal Groudon. This really surprised me, especially considering the fact that one of these Pokémon floats and the other can fly like a rocket. The thrify mega mart is easily the creepiest place in Sun and Moon, as it's totally abandoned, overrun by ghost types, and has a room in the back that isn't there when you return. During my playthrough I wondered why this supermarket was abandoned and destroyed, and it turns out that Tapu Bulu actually destroyed it because it was built on sacred land.
I get that Tapu Bulu was angry, but why wait until it was fully built to destroy it? Tapus don't really have likable personalities at all. I have no idea why the people of Alola love them. Sun and Moon have allowed us to read the dex entries for mega evolutions for the first time, and some of them are quite shocking. One in particular that stands out to me is Mega Aerodactyl's Moon entry. “When it mega evolves, it becomes crueler than ever. "Some say it's because his excess power causes him pain." Apparently, Mega Evolving Aerodactyl causes him constant pain, which is quite shocking and disturbing.
I can assure you that I won't be mega evolving my Aerodactyl anytime soon. For years we have known that Primeape is a Pokémon that is continually angry. I mean, just look at his face. But some new information from this generation is that supposedly your anger can become so severe that it kills you. “He has been known to get so angry that he dies as a result. Yet his face seems peaceful in death.” Well, that's extremely depressing. Primeape spends his entire life angry and upset, and the only way to achieve peace is to die. Thanks Gamefreak.
Since Mimikyu was revealed, we know that he hides his normal appearance with a cloth decorated like Pikachu to make himself more likeable. But what we didn't know is how scary it looks underneath that thing. “His real appearance is unknown. “A scholar who saw what was under the cloth was overcome with terror and died of shock.” Mimikyu looks so horrible that he would kill someone just by looking at him. My God. It's no wonder he likes to cover himself up. Another Mega evolution we got more information about thanks to new Pokedex data is Mega Salamence, and it has revealed that this thing is ruthlessly cruel and vicious, AND that its wings are incredibly sharp.
Let me read these entries to you dex. The Sun One says: "Anyone who gets in its way will be cut in two, while this Pokémon continues its flight without interruption." What the hell? Killing people by accident and not caring at all? That is wrong! But do you know what's even more complicated? Your entrance to the Moon. “Mega Evolution fuels her brutality and can even turn against the trainer who raised her. She has been nicknamed "the blood-soaked crescent." In short, Mega Salamence is a violent monster that you should never create if you care about the safety of yourself and those around you.
Okay, my next two sentences will have some minor story spoilers, so if you want to skip them, go to this moment in the video. But if not, let's talk about Lusamine. When you enter her hidden lab area or whatever, you discover that she has a bunch of frozen Pokémon: her private collection. That really disturbed me, but it turns out there's actually a worse version: Froslass. Froslass does the same thing as Lusamine, but also with people. His entry on the Moon reads: "When he finds humans or Pokémon he likes, he freezes them and takes them to his cold lair, where they become ornaments." Pretty shocking right?
And really creepy. Like Lusamine. One Pokedex entry I've seen floating around the internet over the past few weeks is Gengar's Sun entry: “If you feel attacked by a sudden chill, it's evidence that Gengar is approaching. There is no escape. Abandon." Now, while it's shocking for the Pokedex to essentially tell you that you're screwed in a pretty creepy way, it's actually not a new fact about Gengar. Gengar has been around for a long time, which is why we know it's a super creepy Pokémon. that cools the air when it attacks people. But what really surprised me about Gengar is the Pokedex entry that people don't talk about as much.
Its Moon entry says: "Apparently it wants a traveling companion. Like it once did was human, try to create one by taking the lives of other humans." Did you catch that?! Gengar used to be human!! There are other Pokémon that were human before, but we never knew that Gengar was until now. That such a Pokémon Iconic to have such an intense new backstory is something I wasn't expecting at all and it's definitely the most shocking new information we've received from Sun and Moon. So there we have it! These are the 10 most shocking facts about Pokémon from Pokémon Sun and
