in resin and see if we can achieve let it adhere to the resin and see if it continues. Will it still smell like ketchup? 3 Will it taste like ketchup? Not that we're going to try it, but I thought I'd say it and how it would turn out. That's what I thought I'd do for you today.

, see if we can make a kitchen bowl tomorrow and I don't know about you, but I love my ketchup, I'm not sure what's really in it, I just rock my Harry Potter glasses, basically, no artificial colors, No artificial flavors, no artificial cancer, just ketchup. Or again, this is going to be really fun, well, let's see what's there now. It's a little orange, isn't it creamy orange? I thought it was going to come out red, but it doesn't seem to have happened. so I'm not sure if we should add a little bit of dye to this, you know, because I was hoping it would be this really bright vibrant red, but once it's mixed with the resin, it turns into a little bit of a kana soup color. it's definitely not safe, but yeah, it

s and looks really weird, so I'm not even really sure if this is going to harden or not, but anyway, when drinking, find a little bit of red, put a little bit of red on it to see if it changes the color slightly.

I have some of this red alumalite dye, so I'll put a little of this in as well to see if I like it. It's definitely more red, but it's a little bit hot pink, so I think a little more tint, okay, there we go, there's our ketchup and resin, I'm not too sure, really, um oh, hopefully, but in I'm actually not really sure if this sticks, you know, because it's quite oily and I'm not convinced, but here we go. That's what the

experiment

is all about and if it sets up well, we'll make ourselves a nice bowl of ketchup.

She is now waiting in the pressure cooker. We leave it there overnight and see how it turns out in the meantime. I have to go drink. in the shower I smell a little like ketchup II okay guys we're ready to see how this turns out oh I have no idea oh that looks weird like it's bubbling but actually this says it's actually configured, but you have some products or not. That's good, it has oil because Shimada ketchup has oil. I have no idea if we can convert this. I think we could do it, but it seems like it's pretty gross, actually.

I really want to try that either, but this oil looks like it's oil that has reached the surface oh no, it's also in there, take this out, it's actually ready, but it just has I don't know, it has a lot of black bits and I'm not too sure what the black pieces actually are, it's very strange, but it's a little oily on the top, so let's make sure how it's going to spin, but let's find out, let's put it on the lathe and see if we can. making our ketchup bowl, it has all these really cool features and I think that's where the oil in the ketchup is trying to escape, it was pretty cool, in fact I quite like it, I wonder what's going to happen.

It looks like I'm hollowing it out, but go ahead and see how much fun we can make this. This is actually making a huge mess and I can actually smell the ketchup coming out of this bowl. You can see all this oil that just came out. out of the ketchup that's in there and it's like making a mess everywhere. I mean, this is it, not only is it covered in shavings of pink

ketchup, which is pretty good, it doesn't actually look very good, but also in here, this is. just let me see the light isn't reaganist a little bit better yeah the inside that you can see is actually quite unpleasant it's got a lot of mold on it and it doesn't really take very well but it's kind of a mixed bag of solids there's a lot of solid bits, but many. like greasy bits and it's really greasy and oily and it smells a little funny, it's ketchup II, but I don't know, it didn't like it at all, but it's actually creating kind of a cool pattern, so let's continue to see if we can call them yeah wait this if we can sand it down we will the outside is a lot better than the inside but we'll see how we go it's definitely weird but then. you, but I've covered it in

sauce, well it was strange to try it, it looks great and original looking, which is good because that's what we were going for and I was hoping it would turn out that way.

We could actually make something out of that, put my emblem in the background there and then all this kind of weirdness that just formed and I think it's just because there's a lot of oil in the ketchup and I think it's just mixed in there and it mixed in, it looks a little bit like that burner, you know, that Lichtenberg berkeley schanberg burner that I bought, you know, when you burn the wood, it looks a little bit like that, doesn't it? It's kind of like school, these marks on I mean, obviously it's not like a perfect polish, but I mean it was an experiment that I wanted to try and try and see if it held up or not in ketchup resin, it smells a little bit like ketchup , but if I'm honest.

It smells a little oily and that's what's covered everywhere. I'm completely covered in ketchup while it was before anyway, but I've washed it since then, now I need another wash, but a lot of oil came out when it was. Turning it over, there was a little bit like, I don't know, just oozing oil, it was all on my high load, my bench shop floor, all over my mask, everything that was covered, it's still seeping out a little now, though not so much. Much more, I sanded it back and it's okay, actually, you know, I'm a weird piece that's actually made of tomato sauce.

I'm resin and I thought the black emblem turned out pretty good too. Oh, speaking of emblems, look now, you really can't see much. Can you let me get one I just made? So I'm going to put some black paint on it. You can see it a little better, so these are. my new emblems are going to go to my work and as you can see that's the 41st emblem handmade by Nick Zoom Eddie, it has my logo on there and it's numbered and I thought they were really cool. I have numbers from one to one. hundred and so on every piece I make in the future every decent piece but every kind of half decent piece I make I'm going to put one of these on it so that when I sell it or someone acquires it somehow it will be a numbered piece and I thought it was really cool.

This guy is amazing, he's the guy who's also burned a lot of irons and stuff and he makes these coins, these brass coins for you, anything you want. I want there to be some logo and I came up with the idea and normally you would get all of these with just the logo and I said look can you make me a hundred one to a hundred? He says, yes, he will have some. You can do it though, but to be fair, he did it very quickly and very cheaply.

If I'm honest, I think it was very profitable to do all this, so I would go and check that everything went well. That's really cool, Martin.
