Feb 23, 2020
What's up guys? I'm Jessica Zam and welcome back to another Escape from Tarkov video. In this video, we'll delve into some

tips

for playing as a duo or

squad

and escaping Tarkov by playing with a group until the end. Playing with a team of five can be a lot of fun and can create some crazy moments in this game, but it definitely presents its own set of challenges and you definitely need to alter your strategy at least a little to make playing with a

squad

as effective as possible, as well. So let's delve into some of my

tips

for that extreme

escape

from Tarkov a few days a week.

All my links will be below if you want to come and stop by and say hello, but with that out of the way, let's go ahead and dive in, so the first tip is going to be to just learn the calls so there aren't default calls for everything on every map. many times a year. a lot of the maps that, if you want a reference or a

guide

, a lot of the maps, at least the website that I use has some of the legends on the actual maps that you can look up online, but it doesn't really matter what you call the locations, it is very important that you and your teammates have the same language for positions on the map.

More Interesting Facts About,

There is nothing worse than when an enemy confronts you and now everyone is trying to figure out where that enemy and someone are. shout something like column ambush or scab or something and if people don't know where it is that's when things start to fall apart, communication goes crazy, people start to hesitate because they don't want a team to kill and you can die , so having something consistent verb that you know your whole squad knows you can say something even hey I think I see something there or I heard something here, the whole unit can now, even if it's just a duo, shift their attention in the direction correct or you can use those calls when you are flanking or anything, so, to be on the same page about learning some calls, you can start with just big points on the high level map and then if you really want to, start enjoying playing certain maps together, really narrowing them down and having something for as many places as possible just means that communication will be even clearer and you'll be able to make the moves you want to make with your squad.

The second tip I have is to know what each one looks like. This can be very useful whenever I run as a duo. One of the first things I do is turn around and look at what gear my teammate is using now. Sure there's a chance you know if I look right you have this helmet and I could also see an enemy with that helmet, but if you look like right m4 you have an Alton helmet and you're a bear and you have your flannel on , even if I don't remember every detail of that, the backpack is also something else, do you have a triple zipper, what size is it and things like that, because again, one of the worst things that can happen as a repetitive squatter, the worst What can happen is for a team to kill correctly and I've found that when I play in duos, especially or even in squads, they hesitate because I wonder if that's my teammate, it's absolutely horrible.

So because you can get killed if it's not your teammate or if you don't know what the person looks like and you're not sure where they are and you see someone up there and you just shoot, so every time I run. On a raid it's going to be harder with a bigger squad, but it's totally possible, but every time I'm on a raid I look and say, okay, what are you wearing and then we can do our thing that way if we split up in a shootout or If something happens, I hope I can have less hesitation in the moment where I need to shoot someone and potentially take down an enemy, so that's tip number two, tip number three is to try whatever your strategy is, as if they like to split the stick. together, try not to be too close together, so I've definitely been in situations before where we were moving down a hallway, maybe on the shoreline of the Resort, and we were doing our thing, and if you line up, you can really easily knock each other down. the entire duo, the squad or even a collateral death.
I even had a moment where I went to where my friend in front of me was crouching and as soon as he crouched, an enemy who was attacking him shot him and missed him. directly behind him and he died and that was a situation we both would have made it out of if we weren't aligned and that works, that rule applies not just lining up obviously for similar collateral hits, but even being very close together. you run the risk of having grenades thrown at you and killing a group of you or even just being seen as a group, especially if you have like three or four keeping a little distance that way if someone sees you they might say hey Oh, it's a 2 man. you can attack them and they don't know there's one more or two more or something so you keep a little element of surprise when you're out in the open and you avoid multiple kills when you're close together now the next step I have is suppression so This has value once again, whether you play solo as a duo or all the way up to a huge team, if I hook up with someone and can tell exactly where. this enemy is and my teammate is trying to figure out where they are or get close to me or something, I just send shots down and suppress my enemy behind hard cover, it gives my teammate the time to flank and get a better angle.
There are countless. situations where forcing someone to stay behind hard cover, forcing someone to stay in a position if you know they are trying to run away, can often give you or your teammate the time to get to a better position and just completely destroy them without that happening. It's a fight where there is return fire, so using suppression in many ways can be really useful. It may help, like stopping and engaging, long enough for even you to reposition yourself, move closer, move away, or even not end the engagement, but it gives. It gives you an extra second to communicate where the person is to your teammate.
It can be a really useful tool. The next tip I have is to try using add-on kits. This gives you an advantage that solo

players

don't have. I can lead someone with a team that is really close combat, maybe four hallways or cleaning rooms, so I act like the coasts are an example of exit, you can have so much open space and then in the resort there are spaces very small, so someone can use a kit with very close combat, someone could not use a kit with long range. You can have someone use a thermal, so when you're using a thermal scope you know that it's very difficult that thermals also have their disadvantages. you might be able to scan and see someone, but if you lose them or try to contact a squad, if everyone has thermals, it's a little difficult to determine whose heat signatures are, who had someone like a valet or a scope 4x. and someone with a thermal, those kids complement each other very, very well because the person with the thermal can detect and say, "Hey, I can't see this guy, but I saw him right there and the person without the thermal can see the cover." . the buildings, what's going on, where the person is, was it just a car or was it a real PMC, so all kinds of things like that, using add-on kits down to your armor, your bags, your equipment, everything can really help the raid advances. the way you want it to move and the last tip, and this is probably the most important thing when it comes to duo-trio team play, is to keep your communications clean, so it can be very, very difficult, especially in groups bigger if all of you are trying to feel or talk or if several people are talking or if people are talking to each other to get the information that is needed, especially when a shootout occurs, in a game like Escape from Tarkov where you can feel very quickly in an instant.
I saw someone move from left to right here next to that rock or you can move and instantly touch one, you have no idea where, there are so many different situations where if communications are already happening, if people are already talking, if They are telling stories. about what's going on that day or at work, it can be very difficult for you to jump in and say hey, I saw someone right there or if someone dies and then there's a rash of comes where people say where where where where where where where where where where where where where where where where where where the person who has the information is having a hard time spreading that information so you know of course it all depends on how serious you want to take the game if you guys are just there to have fun and do memes of course, but if you are really looking to survive more encounters since a unit has a squad.
I can't emphasize enough how important it is to keep communications really clean, really simple, really short and effective, and that's another point, even if you have the information and you're the one giving that information, learn to communicate quickly and not just to be okay, there to my right is a rock and beyond that rock is this tree and then this and that, being able to do something like this just comes with time and playing the game, but being able to communicate quickly because that's something which I struggled with a lot. I'm in the heat of the moment when I see someone and I really love this Kayla.
I really want to participate in this PvP action. I have a hard time translating my thoughts into words, so my teammate says hey, I want to help, I don't know what's going on and hello, there's a disconnect between my head and my mouth, so that's another part of keeping it coming. really clean. Learning to communicate, I do it very concisely and effectively, even if we go back and then I'll tell you what's going on if you know there's too much going on to communicate it, so things like that can really help keep the raid moving on. the direction you want to move and keeps them alive, so that's it for this one.
The tips we have, learn the calls. Know what others look like. Stay together, but not too close together. Suppression is key. Really keep communications going. really clean and try to compliment each other with your children. I hope this helps. I hope that if some of these things were obvious to you or whatever, some of the other information maybe something you hadn't thought about. I hope this can help you as a unit feel more confident participating in your raids and that will
