A gentleman who owns, he's a retired engineer, he has a 2014, I think it's a c7 stingray and he's started a website and a product line that he's designing some things for c7 and also I think it's the Sub Urbans and Tahoes also, but he sent me a couple of things and it's a company called San Diego, he designs something cool, what does he say, you see San Diego designs are cool, but again these two things I'm about to show you. I like to support local and also national businesses that know, Corvette based Corvette related stuff but these are great he sent me two articles. So you sent me three articles, we're going to look at two of them today and then we can look at the other one and in a week or so, but I think it's very practical stuff, I think when I show it to you. you're going to say uh-uh I met one of those. It's been a couple of days since I started. I just took the tinder off the drums and you guys want to hear it.

it here this is a soft soft side here it's very soft and you got some kind of cole slaw down on how well you're going to be able to see that again I apologize that piece that's going to be soft with one on the bottom all you do is pop it right on top now it's going to stay in now I'm at GM, you're building beautiful cars, don't get me wrong, but God goes. for final approval, the second thing he told me also makes a lot of sense and we all know that. s infotainment screen here so we all have this infotainment system we have this nice little button that you push you know I usually always have some clean axes in the back there or something like that we have a wallet because of course we would be in the Corvette you have to have a wallet in there but one thing he came up with is a really cool little shelf it has a soft top on top as far as you can tell if you want it comes with it off but you can take it off glue it and put it on there , even cut it to the same size so if you want the same felt feel just peel that sticker off and put it on the metal here what this does is this goes what you have to do is take this little shelf yeah alright , I have a little logo on there, the part number and everything you take you put it in and you push it all the way back and then you push it down so it's still leaving your USB. charging port so if you want to put your phone in there in my case if you have an iPh one 6 or so you have a 6 plus it's not going to fit in here anyway because of how big it is but if you have a smaller phone , that's why I put mine here but if you maybe have your wallet maybe put your wallet in there you have some Kleenexes or whatever you want you can put it in there but now you have a little cart here that you can put things in instead of everything being thrown into that illumination that is there. come on so i think this is pretty nifty so you have a top floor and a bottom floor there to put stuff on those are from a gentleman who is a vet part owner and i will have a link below where you can go his website is relatively new and what he's doing so I'm sure his product line is going to grow and the different things that he designs and introduces the third item the third item is pretty cool the third item is probably not for everyone but definitely I could see a lot of people using it over and over again I'll show you that in a future video but if you want to see this if you want to see that of course I'll have it linked below with all the other stuff so if you're new to this channel and you say Chuck, where did you get this or that or the other?

I'm here at Jim Glover Shepherd Lake and I want you to know that I dropped the car off and went to a different little game day. things like that and what I'm going to make them change you're headed to a line but a different place somewhere else but I don't think they have the tilt travel and you know I just don't think it's towed towed properly I wanted it towed a Little if not zero versus I think they towed it a bit. a little bit just the way it's a little bit tight on some of the tire wear stuff I want to talk to you a little bit about brakes and rotors you know most cars are going to have the metal breaks Brembo brake pads but there's one thing that I think GM has got right in that if you want, you know you want to order a Corvette or you want to get a Corvette to get the carbon ceramic brakes now, that's just one option you don't have to get the whole package 0-7 with both tires cut and the full 3 phase shaft or anything like that you can get the brake package alone so I would definitely say you want to get the ceramic brake pads for a few different reasons.

Well I'm going to start with the obvious and that is they look great. The second is that they don't create brake dust, so you don't have to clean these wheels every time you go. Go out and take a ride and you know a lot of you who are watching the videos and maybe recently bought a Corvette you already know how bad brake dust is on OEM brake pads. I've been preaching about that for the last year so why would I want them is they're a little bit lighter we're talking twelve pounds per rotor so I mean you're going to reduce reduce you know near you know over forty pounds in the whole car but you know how you do this we wanted to make sure he wasn't here peeking they're at your car dealership or something but not again guys you know the third reason why I would probably prefer carbon ceramics on instead of them just metal brakes the third one is brake fatigue you know you saw a video I did probably on that was about a month ago but I was out with the Vette Club and even though we were doing something Plus, we call it game day or you know, autocross type, you can definitely tell after about four or five races. at forty five fifty miles an hour and then doing hard cuts there was some brake fatigue that started

ing on my breaks I started to notice it compared to Joe who has the exact same car as me I wasn't experiencing nearly none of that brake fatigue because these these bite so hard and when you're entering a corner you can go in much deeper and not have to worry about brake fatigue or anything like that that

s with that so you know it would be The third thing is for performance, the people who have nothing good to say about ceramic brakes are usually people who have never had them because they want them, but since they don't, they hate them, but at the same time.

If you've ever owned ceramic brakes and had that experience with them, then you're not likely to be a guy that every time you own a sports car you'll make sure you have them. same same year as my car is a 2016 zero six about 20 1606 right here The big reason a lot of people are afraid of carbon ceramic is because of its price of course you know that again if you choose the option and want to do that check mark I think it's I think it's seventy five hundred dollars although you might be out doing track day or something you know a lot of people are concerned because you know these things don't last very long and you've spent another seven eight grand bucks for a few breaks after four or five years that's not going to be the case guys if you go to Brembo if you go to their website they actually have their hundred thousand mile rating so it's one of those things that probably never be number one, probably won't own the vet by a hundred thousand miles, so i probably wouldn't worry about it.

You'll probably even have it up to seventy thousand miles, but you know all of you out there that have carbon ceramic brakes, let us know in the comments what you want. guys think of you kn Well that's what this is for here guys. I know there's a lot of background noise and a few different things. We are here. We are here on the highway so it can be a bit noisy. in the comments section exactly what you think of them you know you would go with them again you enjoy them there is something you don't like about them you know maybe you are one of those guys and you don't have carbon ceramics and you want them let us all know down there, chuck, you know, gosh, i should have bought them in the zr1.

I'm not really worried about it, like me, some of them I have to order, I'll get them anyway, but definitely definitely get the carbon ceramics. We have it in the garage. It is now the black mamba. now there was some issues with the left grass which yeah th left driver side front left camber was off wheel trailer was off top this is what the car looked like before and then the numbers that you see below are the ones we marked so that it is configured. set to do mostly street driving and very little track driving a bit improve tire wear a bit that way the tires don't know they're not eating the inside of them which if you have a zero six grand sport probably see a lot of that I don't know if it's that bad on the actual stripes you guys who have stripes can let me know keep sending your pics and be sure to write in the description what it is if you have an instagram account put your instagram name and let me know.
