This Laptop Is A Creators Dream!

Feb 29, 2020
Well,

this

is one of the coolest

laptop

s I've seen

this

year. It's a relatively large 17-inch device, but it's a very powerful all-round creative battle station that lets you do pretty much anything you could want for a creative workflow. Has it all. The good thing, like a very powerful RT X 2080 CPU, but what makes it special, what makes it a unique product, is this hinge that allows you to rotate the screen practically any way you want. You can have it facing rear. from a

or a client, you can have it in front of you like normal or you can have it in this top down artist mode and along with this screen it also has this really amazing stylus, now the traditional stylus that comes with a lot of the Laptops out there feel like an afterthought, they don't feel like the product was built around the use of a stylus, it's just something that can be added to a product as added value, but this laptop makes very good use of it. of this pen and the screen.

It has this kind of matte texture, so when you draw on it it has this paper-like field, not that it feels exactly like paper, but it feels much better to draw on this screen than the standard type of screen with a glossy finish and also It's a Wacom EMR based pen, so the pen itself doesn't have a power source, the digitizer under the screen powers the entire connection and is just a very good surface to draw on. I'm not an artist, but I can tell right away that they put in the time. and effort to make this pen and digitizer interface feel right, so if you do digital arts and are working with any kind of pen-based workflow, you'll probably appreciate it.

More Interesting Facts About,

this laptop is a creators dream...

I recently found out about this game called bear and it's this rhythm. game that a lot of the veteran gamers use tablets to play and I thought because this screen and the digitizer was so good, it would be amazing and I just want to say it was like, I want to say clearly, this doesn't mean you already know the best bear machine in the world, but play it, your arm gets very tired when moving, but it's fun and I also tried Starcraft 2, a real-time strategy game. The biggest problems are right clicking on that game and right clicking with this thing.

I had to hold the button and tap it and it's very ineffective. I felt like it had an APM of 5. It wasn't good, but the pen itself and the interface with this device are perfect. It's really designed for creative work. So it's pretty good. I noticed that when I was drawing this Pokémon here the palm detection click would occasionally fail, but the accuracy and pressure sensitivity I feel right now, the performance of this machine is really good, it's running on our TX 2080. Running an Intel octa-core i9, it is super powerful. I played with this a bit.

Excellent frame rates. It's obviously not a gaming-oriented device. It has a 60 Hertz screen, but if you want to play games, you can edit videos on this machine. They are great, they have very good performance, especially for being so quiet, you can't boost the turbo much. I feel that if they allowed users to control the fans a little more this could be increased significantly, but it performs well for the level of sound it drives. Now the keyboard is something you have to get used to, it has two types of problems: one, the keyboards in this low position, so there is no wrist rest, and the trackpads on the right, so everything feels a little more tight, everything feels a bit like that.
I'm not familiar with when you first use it, but I think most people, if they spend some time with this, will get used to the device. Now the keys themselves are a mechanical switch. I don't think they market or advertise this as having mechanical switches, but you can clearly hear as if there is an actuation point when you press the key and the layout of the keyboard itself. I think it's pretty standard, except for the right shift key. I think it's something you know, not everyone uses that right shift key. but for people who do it it's very small and in this weird position the trackpad has this thing that you can double tap and you can activate a numpad for people who want to use numpads but the inputs on this thing feel a little weird and The other thing I don't like about this thing is that this machine is expensive, it is clearly aimed at premium professional users, but they don't include a wrist rest with this device and I like the amount of money it demands. it should include one in the box rather than the user going out and looking for a custom wrist rest that fits this particular device it should be in the box the outside of the device is relatively plain there is no super obvious branding on the back it just says like there's nothing, it has a slightly visible D concept that's a little bit corrupted in the metal there, it's not a super nasty mark, okay, let's talk about this rotating screen because this is the cool part of the device now yes I'll notice along from this whole video that when I opened and closed this hinge it had this creek and it's not the rotating hinge it's the actual hinge on the base of the laptop and I think it might be unique to my device but it's something I feel like I should mention in this video that it does not come from the right hinge only from the left hinge.
I feel like they overtightened this unit that I bought and the fit is good, like the rigidity on a device like this, it's great, like if you're drawing and you want that kind of sturdy surface to work on, it's perfect, but I hope this Creek isn't a side effect of that robustness now that the screen itself has a relatively large bezel. I'll be honest when I first saw this. I thought: do you know why it has to be so big? Maybe they couldn't get a panel that had this kind of color accuracy that they wanted because the screen is great, the panel is bright and has great color accuracy, probably one of the greatest.
The most color-accurate screens I've ever seen are geared toward creatives, but it's a really nice screen with a thick bezel given to people who actually use this for work. You probably won't notice it, but as a laptop reviewer, I feel like I'm just going to nitpick about it and there's also a webcam in the 1080p image above and it's a relatively clean looking image. There is a place on the top right of this device where you can place your stylus as if it were holding it magnetically and it's kind of nice to have when you have any type of stylus based product or stylus compatible product.
Having something like this just doesn't get lost that easily, so the arms on this device, this kind of arm here that holds the rotating hinge of the screen, is very well made, it looks like you can turn this thing hundreds of thousands of times. times. I feel like Acer did a good job on this thing. There is also a magnet that when you push it back it snaps into place and also dresses. there, when you flip it, like when you flip it all the way, the image automatically rotates for the eye, depending on what mode you have the screen in, okay, it's going to close this here, the internal parts are easy to access, you can replace your Wi - The Fi card handles your RAM and the battery down here isn't particularly big, 71 watt hours and you get an hour and a half of battery life, it's actually shorter than I thought but considering the size of the screen and the resolution and all the type.
Of powerful internals here, I guess that's to be expected, but you won't get great battery life with the ports on this machine, there's a good selection of ports, there are no SD card slots, although there are three USBs for use PC and an Ethernet connector and There are four speakers that actually sound pretty good, they are loud and clear. The general conclusion of this product is a super expensive device, it costs 5000 dollars, obviously it is not something that everyone is going to buy, but if you are interested. this device let's say you're a creative professional considering this, make sure you use the stylus like this, it's really a great strength.
I tried to show it in this video, but since I'm not an artist, I can't. It doesn't really flex what this looks like it's actually capable of, but if you're someone who can use a stylus and the kind of processing and graphics power it's capable of, I think it can be really useful for certain people, but there you go. the Acer concept d9 I hope you enjoyed this video. Thumbs up if you liked subs. We loved it. See you next time.
