legs. We're at the Turkey Leg Cabin on the southwest side of Third Ward. A few exits from the center you will find an excellent restaurant dedicated to tasty poultry that fills up quite quickly. All these people come here for the food and when you see what makes these

legs so talked about, it's no wonder they gobble them up. I love it, I mean, from the first time I came, the hockey paws are smoked to perfection, the most unique thing I've done in Houston when you come here, it's just an experience, that's what they come with.

I have Stuffed Legs with Hennessy Glazed Dirty Rice and Stuffed Cajun Crab Mac and Cheese. You don't need anything else to know what I mean. It's like you have a guilty pleasure that always makes you feel good, but it's worth how many turkey legs you eat. guys selling today this can take a little time to add up on our busiest days, we sell about 2,800 turkey legs a day, oh yeah, and on our non-busy days, like during the week, which maybe Tuesday or Wednesday, we still sell about 2,000, yes. a lot, no turkey is safe, no turkey, no matter the season, no matter, no.

Did I mention the constant line of people trying to get their hands on these lines of turkey legs here every day? It's that crazy if they're real when you're looking at the turkey leg and you're like, okay, how do you imagine stuffing it like you just put it under there? No, I can't tell you everything, okay, we did a turkey trot backwards to see how much of the turkey leg process we could take and it wasn't much you guys are pretty secretive about this process, we are, it's a process that has a patent pending and all of our employees signed confidentiality agreements, all yeah, but it's that serious, that's serious, yeah, wow. that's amazing, so we're picking up the process in the middle of yes, almost like for the toy, so okay, now the turkey legs have already been seasoned, they've already been seasoned, well, they did it, this is the last one process, this is the last step worth simmering, okay, yes, they cook for hours, hours, yes, it smells like the real thing here, from here they go to the kitchen, okay, now, this is where the magic to be able to try it, I promise not to give it. let's get any secrets out of the way so it's time to pull up a chair and get ready to eat so here we are with a stuffed turkey leg this one is shrimp alfredo and if you look at it it looks like a shrimp alfredo dish which happens to be in a turkey leg that's crazy oh my gosh it just comes off oh man look at that turkey leg literally well go ahead go ahead grab some alfredo sauce dirty rice a bowl of shrimp you see that drop, here's the kitchen H down, no It didn't take me long to realize that I could never give up this food cold turkey.
It's amazing when someone tries to cheat on you late for the first time. What do they tell you? Yes, it's not what they say, it's their facial expression. I'm really trying not to. make a silly face, what is making a silly face, oh my gosh, the Texas sized turkey leg itself is excellent, the smoked meat is moist and delicious, but then you put all those ingredients on top of it and it just takes it out of this world. the flavor the seasoning the way they mix it I mean, it's very rare that you can go somewhere and get food and you don't have to do anything, but here you just sit there, it's definitely delicious turkey, all different varieties of thighs of Turkey. lemon pepper, the alfredo, the shrimp, the dirty rice and then it doesn't get any better than that, what do you attribute your late night and early morning success to?
