The Presidents Make a Kirby Game Tier List
Jul 02, 2023Alright guys, are we ready to get this show on the road? This could get heated and the comments could fall on us for this, but we have to do it for the people I like about my opinions, if you can't take the heat, get out. cooking, yeah, as long as Squeak Squad is at a good level, I don't really care, but let's do this, okay, cool, by the way, this will only be the main series, so don't put your diaper on when you don't see your beloved spin. Outside of this
list
, we'll also go in chronological order, so yeah, anyway, let's start this overseas. We have the original Kirby's Dreamland and I'm going to keep it stacked. This shit is like God. I played this recently when it released on Nintendo Switch online and it felt very clunky, I still beat the
game
because I'm a fucking G, but man was it a chore. I can't argue that thegame
is just a boring platformer and there are no skills in the game either. was okay for its time but definitely the worst main series game we had here today isn't Squeak Squad so automatic L from me, next up is Kirby's Adventure and damn what an improvement it was, not only did it have levels bigger because of that.Being on a home console but the game was better in every aspect, it looked better, sounded better and controlled better, not to mention the elephant in the room which is the introduction of copy skills, this is where Kirby It really started, you're right, Donnie, though. Despite all those things you just said, the game doesn't really hold up today, it looked better for its time, but coming back to it, it looks nice now and the controls aren't as tight as you might think. mention this was on NES so it sometimes had that weird effect on the edge of the screen which just
make
s it look more dated so that shit keeps up here yeah even though it was a revolutionary game for its time, not so cool today, but that's how the cookie crumbles.I guess anything seems too low to me, but I'm not going to get mad about it. Well, next we have Kirby's Dreamland 2 and honestly, this was never one of my favorites. I admit that it introduced something interesting like Dark Materials and some Banger songs, it was never essential to play the Kirby game for me, quite the opposite, I actually feel that this is one of the most forgettable titles in the main series. Sheesh, surely no one in the comments is going to do it. You're coming at us for this, but I have to say I agree with you here Joe, it was never a title that caught my attention that much.
I feel like if you played a Kirby game on the Game Boy, you might as well play the first one. just to feel the novelty of playing the game that started it all, yeah, I didn't really like the game either, so that shit goes with Adventure straight to level B, in fact, that shit goes all the way to the end of level B just to pee. the Kirby's Dreamland 2 Fanboys went even more off anyway, next up is Kirby Superstar and personally this is an interesting take that I've always had, you see me personally. I would put this game directly in the
tier
because it is nothing special and people always come across it.This game, for no reason, has pretty good graphics for the Super Nintendo. I admit the music is really good and has a lot of variety, but the game is just a bunch of submodes and I was never a fan of that, personally, I get it. Where are you coming from Donnie, people love to fight when I tell them that Superstar Ultra is the best game, but that's just nostalgia blinding their creaky old asses. The game overall is really good, no matter which one we're talking about, so there it goes. be at least a level for me, yes, I think it's fair to say that this game belongs on a level, a game that hasn't aged any better either, but is definitely much better than its predecessors.
I think a level is the perfect place for this game. yeah, plus it's not Squeak Squad, so I don't really care. Then we have Kirby's Dreamland 3 and this is my favorite Super Nintendo Kirby game, the art style is very animated, the music is top notch and the overall gameplay is very enjoyable. I dare anyone to play this and not smile even once. I swear on my mom, that is literally impossible. Yes, I admit that this game looks great and has good level design. Having multiplayer is always nice. Overall solid game, I think a level is perfect for a game like this.
However, I think it's below Superstar because even though it was only in that game, it had a lot of content, so I think Superstar wins by a slight margin. Think Joe, yeah, really, anyway, when's Squeak Squad, man? Shut up about Squeak Squad, we'll get there eventually, you're getting sleepy Joe, you're afraid you're not awake to meet up, put on that mediocre game you love so much, shut up Donald I. just like the game, I swear to the Lord and Salvador, no one can like anything these days without a little rain on their parade, okay, both of you calm down.
I personally don't agree with what Donnie said, but I won't fight him about it, so I guess Dreamland 3 goes to the end of a level, we finally get to the good stuff. Then we have Kirby 64. And if any of you say he's below S Plus, I will literally go to his house and steal your entire fucking Donnie
list
ening spot. I can see that you really like this game, but you have to realize that just because it may be your favorite game doesn'tmake
it an automatic S Plus. The game itself is really good. The introduction of skill combo is something that has never really been recreated as of now, all those good points aside I don't think it's S Plus, the game can feel a bit clunky at times and skill combo is a weapon double-edged when playing. a level and then you would need a very specific skill combination to get a crystal shard and then you would have to replay the level again after I don't know I'm willing to put it in a level but that's as high as I'll go yeah , the game is fun, but it can be annoying to get all the crystals, although I also like the mini-games, so that gives me extra points.I agree with Obama, this is the highest level. I see Kirby 64 in What is the Kirby 64 game that deserves the s plus level? You guys are just angry because you are outnumbered. Donnie asked: Here's to Kirby 64. Obama, okay, looks like Kirby and the Amazing Mirror are next. I personally thought the game was okay, but not one of the best, a solid game that was unique with the multiplayer and large open maps, kind of like a metroidvania type game, but it could never hold my interest for long due to how complicated it was, especially for Kirby, yes.
I agree that Kirby has always been one of Nintendo's most experimental series, if not the most experimental. If they're not sure how a new idea they have will work, they'll just slap Kirby and usually be pretty successful. However, I agree that this game was probably too ambitious for Kirby, a large open area that is connected by mirror portals is not something Kirby had done up to that point and god forbid if you wanted to play multiplayer. , you'd need to have a whole butt set up just for Just That, luckily coming to Nintendo Switch Online that setup will no longer be necessary so maybe it'll go up the
tier
list for now, although it'll be in tier B for me , yes, I hope it has a much more convenient way to play, people will play it and come to their own conclusion.I'll put the game at the top of Tier B and then next we have Kirby Squeak Squad. Holy Kirby Squeak Squad. Okay, I'll accept it. From here guys, Kirby Squeak Squad is a masterpiece that the Nintendo gods brought to us. It's a portable adventure with tons and tons of unlockable customization options and freedom for the player. They brought back the mix of skills and introduced some new ones that are like It's amazing since this game is easily S Plus. I knew Obama was referring to Squeak Squad when he rejected putting Donny's Kirby 64 in the S Plus tier, yeah no Joe you gotta be smoking that Zaza extra strong if you think Squeak Squad is even close.
For S Plus, the game was a basic platformer that lacked personality due to it reusing so many assets from previous games, not to mention how bad the final boss was after a sick fight with a cockroach. Also, you say they brought back the skill mix. stretch that not even Elastigirl can reach that all they did was give elemental buffs to existing skills and if you say it's the same as 64's skill combo you should honestly write yourself off right now and if Squeak Squad's skills were so Well, why haven't they been? In any other Kirby game, hey, where's the animal?
What's up with Bubble Kirby Squeak Squad? It was and still is a disappointing game that belongs in the B tier at the highest level, damn Donnie. I mean, I didn't agree with Joe, but you didn't have to try so hard. pause but I agree that Squeak Squad was very disappointing and the skills it had were pretty bad too sorry Joe but that shit goes to B level damn I didn't know it was like that but okay , next we have Kirby's Return to Dreamland now I have to say this is one of my favorite Kirby games of all time.
It came out at a time when many Kirby fans were wondering if the series was dead when the last mainline game on a console was 11 years ago. by the time Kirby's Return to Dreamland arrived and rebooted the series massively, a fresh new way to play Kirby that was unlike anything people had seen before at the time, four-player co-op in one screen, new skills that became basic elements. from the series like whip, spear and water and the new super abilities, to say that people were excited about this game would be an understatement, the game is almost perfect and I think it easily earns its place in the S tier as much as I like it.
Kirby and definitely deserves a spot in the S tier, although I think this game started out similarly to New Super Mario Bros where the next few games would be pretty similar to the last in the series, that's not the fault of the game itself so I'll still give it the S, yes this game sounds like Squeak Squad but better, so I'll give it an S too. Joe, shut your mouth about Squeak Squad. It already looks like Kirby Triple Deluxe is next and this is exactly what I meant about Obama. this game feels a lot like Return to Dreamland but that's not all bad, it has the same level of polish and good quality throughout but the game feels a bit basic apart from the new gimmick which was the hypernova ability , it was nothing.
Too out of the ordinary for Kirby, just a simple and fun platformer, for that reason I think one level is good for this game. A very solid game that is definitely worth your attention if you like Kirby, but it is not a game I would consider a must-have. I agree. I played this game and fell asleep from time to time because of how sure they played it with this Century. It just wasn't anything too exciting, the story was good and everything except the gameplay itself was just what you'd expect from Kirby and I just liked it.
Return to Dreamland's super abilities, the hypernova ability seems to have been thrown in for the sake of having a gimmick, you know, uh, I don't want to say Squeak Squad L. I completely agree with you, definitely a solid game going at A level, okay, guys. I think we finally get to our S Plus game. Kirby planet robobot is without a doubt the best Kirby game we've had so far and the fact that they haven't remade it for the Switch should be considered a crime, it has everything you would want. Kirby, good level design, amazing copying capabilities, a killer soundtrack, tons of fan service for us Kirby lovers, and some nice extra modes outside of the main story, it's just a perfect game in all respects. aspects, if I'm honest, there's not much more you could ask for. because when it comes to this game and I think you would agree with me here, Obama, there is no way you are going to give a 3DS game an S Plus spot.
For God's sake, I thought they would give it to the forgotten land and so did I. I would have blamed you for that, but jeez, it's a handheld game and no, it doesn't have everything you'd want from a Kirby game. You know why, because he doesn't have the ability to mix Kirby 64, he should have gotten S Plus, no. Sounds like you're grasping at straws, Donnie, I mean, Kirby 64 is great and all, but if your only answer is that it doesn't have any mixing capabilities, then that shows how complete the game is, it has tons of content and The Robobot armor isn't just a trick they threw in at the last second, Robobot armor feels natural to use and has its own dedicated areas and levels.
The game is very well made and I agree with Obama. Here I give my vote to Planet Robobot. for S Plus level too, what Joe, I know you're just saying that because you want to get back at me for Squeak Squad, sorry,Donald, but you'll have to hold that L Planet robobot alone easy from S Plus. Honey, I hate them all. It seems like this could become controversial now. I will say that this game is not S. I want to make it clear, but I think Kirby Star Allies was and still is a little hated. The game just went wrong.
It's time to be honest, look back at 2018 and Nintendo's great IPS. Mario got the Odyssey link, got a breath of the wild, and even series like Yoshi got a somewhat new spin on their series. Kirby, however, got this game and even when the first trailer was revealed. It just seemed like more of the same, true, we saw the help mechanic, but other than that it was nothing new, it also doesn't help that this was a switching game that was the same length as a 3DS game. I asked for. I took out the game and beat it the same day.
The game just wasn't impressive compared to the other Nintendo series. They added free DLC over time and the game eventually got a new mode, but the damage was already done at that point, not bad really. game, although I think a level is right where it belongs. I didn't really care for this game, there were so many good games at the time and like sleepy Joe said, Star Allies seemed like more of the same, which made me not play it. Watching reviews didn't help either, as there was quite a bit of variety, but most agreed that the game was pretty middle-of-the-road.
I agree that over time the game got a lot better, so I don't mind putting it up a notch. I guess it's fair, over time the game got a lot more content. to justify the price of 60, so putting it at a tier seems fine to me, last but not least we now have Kirby in the Forgotten Land, although I wouldn't consider it an S Plus tier game, I definitely think it's quite close to being a completely New Beginning game for Kirby with him finally exploring the third dimension. This isn't a Kirby 3D Rumble type where you're in really small spaces where you can move around in 3D.
You can actually explore the levels as much as you want and use copy skills. while you're at it everything else is what you'd expect from Kirby Amazing Music, really good level design and a good catalog of abilities to choose from, definitely an S tier game, yeah man I love the main theme of this game even though I'm just summoning demons. With my Japanese butt I'm still playing after the game, it's also very good for this game and the skill upgrades are a good way to make the skills feel different without having to add some that might not work as well in 3D, yes, combat.
It's also a lot of fun in this game that you have an open arena to fight your opponents, which makes the fights much more engaging. The Forgotten Land is certainly going on a level and I'm glad we can all agree on that, yes. easy, alright folks, looks like we're done here. It was a pleasure making this list with you. Yes, although we had our disagreements. I still think we managed to make a really good list. We agree even though Donald didn't have to face it. Squeak Squad is like that, but I digress. I'll leave the call now, have a good rest of your day, YouTube CEO Obama.
