Well, like potential customers, okay, I'll watch you jump, so most of the food I'm going to eat today is going to be in this area. Same markings on lower east side area. Actually, there are many new Japanese and Chinese places that

star

ted. Coming up in the last few years and there's a Japanese hotpot place I'm dying to try there. In fact, I'm a little early. I can never trust Yelp to have the right opening hours, so I have about 30 minutes. To kill, I saw a craft street for dumpling buyers, but not the dumplings I normally eat.
Hi, you guys have pierogies here, well which one is the best? Can I get some good ones in the classic? Uh-huh, sure, yeah, I meant to go. to the Brighton Beach section, which is an area in Brooklyn full of Eastern European Russian food. I've heard good things about this place, so get some pierogies and then we'll go get some hot pot. Thank you, this is cozy, I really like it, I wish it to everyone. businesses had something like this. I know indoor dining is opening up now, but for me I'm still very nervous about going anywhere.
This makes me feel much better. This place is known for its ship and I'm definitely here for the matsunabe. the intestines the hot pot of beef intestines. I know some of you don't need dinners. They don't eat intestines, but I encourage you to try this. This is one of the best things I tried in Japan. I hope it's just as good here. They also have a dam, right? There are certain things that my body just craves, like meatballs, hot

noodles

, Korean barbecue, and gildo. I can't pass that up, I have my matsunav pot, so what's inside this delicious broth with a layer of chives, chili, garlic, sesame? top tofu and how white the beef intestines are and this is what I see in my dreams.
I ate this when I was first in Fukuoka and it is the specialty of Fukuoka Japan. I didn't know it was a specialty and I thought, well, these. the intestines are good, could it be so good? And of course, this is going to cook because all the scallions are here. I can't forget about the ship either, that's why it's called a matsunave, so you have a ton of that in the background. Also, I'm going to put the pork belly in here too to boil. It's always nice to have a little of that fat from the pork belly in the broth.
Also, these are pierogies, so the pearly ones aren't cheap, not like Chinese dumplings. these things are like two dollars a piece anyway, this is the rib pierogi and it's tender with the caramelized onions and they also give you sour cream and applesauce to dip it in just during the dumpling break because this soup ends to finish and I need to take a sip right away. Oh, that's so good. You can take a bite of food and it makes you smile like you just sold the love of your life. You know it's something good, light but magnificent.
The meat flavor and chives are so good. Great because it gives you that great garlic flavor, these are the intestines and beef intestines are very fatty, but they can also be chewed well, so one very fatty side melts in your mouth and the other side chews well, like a tripe-flavored texture. the taste, if you cook it right, it's not spicy at all, it doesn't smell bad, you know, sometimes the intestines can get a little smelly, it doesn't smell bad, it's just good and I really love it for its greasy texture, so this Whether it's in the hot pot or grilled, it's simply the best ingredient at places like this, they're sure to fill your soup, so make sure you drink a lot of this because it's such a good thing that it also comes with some dipping sauce.
So these are some chiles with cilantro, then you have garlic and this should be some kind of yuzu paste. Yes, that's great. I'm going to order more of these so that the yuzu peppers are so good when you combine them with this hot pot. I can eat it with meat or whatever I like to do. I like to put a little in my broth. You can also dip these chiles. Oh my gosh, it's here, yes, there's a poached egg and I have to poke it right now. Wow, thin slices of fatty meat and this one I can already tell oh, look at this, I've never seen gildo like this before, look what soup it usually is.
It's usually not thick at all, it's just the sauce that will cover the rice. This is almost like rice soup. I had never seen myself like this before. I'm getting a little distracted from my meatballs, my hot pot and, uh, the browning, so take them. Another pierogi, I'm going to make this one with some apple sauce and sour cream, it definitely tastes better than normal Chinese dumplings because of that rib, they actually put a lot of ribs in here, these are the thrills if you're used to dumplings Chinese where you can get like three four dollars or four four dollars, although it is a little more expensive than that, delicious, so I bought the potato one, this is a traditional pierogi with a very classic flavor, it tastes like mashed potatoes. some kind of herb here, like I think it's dill, who knew meatballs would be so good with applesauce?
Let's try this super golden. This place is something special. As for the price, the gildon costs the same as the hot pot. I would definitely recommend going for the hot pot if you come here, but it's delicious, it's like beef soup and it's also pretty good with the hot pot seasoning, the flavor of the broth of course is infused with all the vegetables, all the meat and , because it is relatively greasy, the user simply does it. There's a lot to keep all of this refreshingly interesting, besides the meat flavor, the broth you can definitely tell is pork broth, so creamy and smooth, there's a lot of flavor here because you get meat, you get great flavor from the pork bun, garlic Yuzu.
There's a lot going on here. The flavor is very deep, but it is not too rich or thick. You can also turn this into ramen and put a dumpling here. Why not? It's a hot cake. You need a ball of dough. Each gray pot hot with good broth. Dessert. Some

noodles

. to just soak it all in, oh, so you could dip Freddy Krueger in his name, no, come on, that white as snow, everything that comes in here automatically gets better, it's like 40 degrees outside, a light jacket, I'm sweating, okay , I'll see you later. breakfast oh I guess the predator planet has also coveted this place I'm at it's called suki apparently the katsu here is supposed to be amazing and I've been looking for a really good katsu place for a long time so I think a katsu from pig. curry sounds tremendous for katsu in a matcha tea yes, five is the spiciest, give me five.
Also, the decoration of this place is really nice, simple but also traditional and all the seats are separated by these partitions. I like sitting here and I appreciate that you hold the door. open so there's good airflow too so I feel pretty good about it my food is here along with a warning that level 5 is really spicy let's see spicy yes satisfied beautiful golden crispy fried shell , nice and juicy meat and shiny inside, first of all. I love everything on my level five plate. I think for me it's pretty perfect. I think the best thing about this is how well the exterior of the katsu is handled.
Listen to this. I don't have a microphone on right now, so maybe you can. I don't hear that subtle crunch when I walk past this chop, but it's subtle and wonderful, it's the lighter crispy shell on the outside covering not a deliciously juicy, bouncy cut of pork, but even the burn burns in such a nice way and The sauce is a nice tomato-based curry sauce that highlights but doesn't overpower the nice flavor of the pork, and honestly, cabbage is something you really need when eating katsu because it completely refreshes your taste buds. There is also sesame dressing in this. it's the best piece listen to this don't be afraid level five i mean it's pretty spicy as most people probably won't be able to handle this but if you really like spicy you'll love it just like me .
Finishing up the other amazing katsu, I was just doing what I normally do during the meal, you know, looking for what I want to eat next, I found this other katsu place that's a pop-up and they're making a katsu sandwich. I would like a katsu. sandwich oh here's the name that caught my attention because the entrance is on the side here you are the evil I'm part of this well you know the evil uh in some ways I hope you see a lot of sandwiches katsu in my day, of course, but look at this giant, I'm a little confused, like he's big, it's just that you know, he's monstrous and one aspect of his beauty is what I love, but there's also a delicate care where the bark is cut, it seems aggressive. and very Shinto at the same time, it is a strong sandwich, different colors, you have beautiful orange, golden carrots, fried to perfection, katsu and purple cabbage at the bottom, let's try it.
I love everything there is to love about this. I have been observing. a lot of food fights, so I half expected my jacket to fly off somewhere and

only

my shirt to break the cold vegetables. Good bread is good. Juicy pork with a perfect crispy outer layer. The use of vegetables is also fantastic to provide that. kind of refreshing taste, well, the mass of the pickled vegetables is really nice. All of this, as I just said, is aggressive and soft at the same time, there are so many textures, so many flavors with a light and crispy outer layer in concert with the delicious juicy meat.
There is a lot in the middle, I say this in the best possible way. I love it when I can get so much. Also, the good thing about this is that I'm eating a big piece of fried pork, it's not too greasy, it's not. excessively anything immensely satisfying, I mean it just took like a traditional katsu sandwich and diced it up, if that's a word come try this, no exaggeration it was an excellent sandwich so good job guys you'll be here bytwo more weeks, uh and then they'll be able to see where you guys are on Instagram or something, yeah, sure, okay, follow them, get a sandwich, I'm actually a little worried right now, I didn't expect that sandwich to be so big and I can not believe it.
I ate all of that, I mean, I believe it, but for some reason I don't really feel it in my stomach, like it's okay anyway. I'm going to take a break and then meet my friends for dinner. I haven't seen it on uh I think a year ago, I think the last time I saw it on the cover it hadn't happened yet. One last place to eat today and that brings me back to the West Village here in New York City, one of my favorite places to visit. eating and walking I mean there are so many little boutiques and also tons of great places to eat when I lived in a city I used to come here once or twice a week there is amazing pizza there is great Indian food there are some good Vietnamese places this cookie place found this little enclosure to eat my cookies look at this big old thick cookie warm and toasty so soft inside is the cheesecake oh in the blueberry do yourselves a favor and get one of these blueberries with just a bunch of filling sweet cheesecake.
I like them, better if they are made with beans and me. I love it, so the next place I'm going to, the reason I haven't gotten there yet is because it opens like five o'clock, so in about 45 minutes, so I'm just walking around eating random things until that It happens and it is a noodle shop and it is the first and only Michelin star noodle shop in the country. Of course, I hope that after our noodle shop opens we will be the second to get a Michelin star, but I have never been there before. I really want to try it, it's called Jeju Noodle Bar, so it's a Korean ramen shop.
She's got some really really good stuff and you know how I showed you guys, you guys liked our ramen tasting menu. There was a smoked wagyu chashu ramen. Well, they have a wagyu ramen. We'll also see how it compares to ours. Oh, that cookie is so good. I'm going to go get one for Bim. I'm going to be a little mean because I know Ben's weakness is cookies, so I'm going to see if. He can resist this one, what's up, buddy? I know, so this is a pretty fancy ramen place, obviously because it has a Michelin star, so I'll definitely get the wagyu ramen, so it's a rich beef bone broth, raw miyazaki wagyu brisket, okay, I brought you a cookie.
I need to try this cookie right now oh really yes I know you have a weakness for cookies oh man no I love to cook you know I have a ton of cookies I know you make Costco snacks try trying this cookie It has cheesecake inside. oh my gosh, we're going to make cookies, so we have three noodles to share, between me and Ben, and this one that just arrived is the family ramen, this is the one I bought next to the jalapeno raigu, some peanuts look like chilis, shrimp, calamari and cha. shoo at the bottom of that and they said let's mix the chiles well and this is sitting in a oh look at this wonderfully creamy pork broth whoa whoa this is now cha-chu this is porchetta look at this and the noodles oh curly medium sized yellow noodles oh this is good wow that is creamy I love it yes this is my favorite this is your favorite or have one for dinner I recommend it this is the broth it is very creamy and smells good silk man it is like trying Broadway, smooth as silk, it's a three. - one day fight a lot of cartilage three days oh, that's so soft it tastes like the brat beats women breath pure and soft, I don't know, oh, the noodles are perfect, shoe perfect, this chili is magical because it's super rich, so they need a little bit of that acid to take away that richness and 100 did it, I mean it's definitely not the cheapest bowl of ramen you'll find, but it's delicious, let's see what Ben thinks, I think dude, nice shot, yes, delicious, very soft and rich. smooth, sure, yeah, it's one of the best bowls of ramen you've ever had, oh, there's no doubt about it, it's Ben's comments, let's call it that, I call this segment, definitely try the quality uh

michelin

in this bowl of ramen you like. that quality, what did you say?
Dimensions, that's good. Ben's dimensions. Yes, a lot of flavor. with a thin layer of miyazaki wagyu on top, okay, some cabbage and sesame, medium sized noodles on the bottom, like last time, what do you think, friend? Hmm, yeah, it's good, yeah, there are a lot of dimensions, last night was dimensional last time, multiple dimensions in this one, you know? The first thing that came to my mouth or mind when I tried this aged meat, yes it tastes like hp, I think so, maybe it's the broth. Wow, it's very meaty, extra meaty. I feel like this is tastier than our last ball.
I mean this. you can almost chew the broth it's so thick, I mean this is really so meat focused like it's so incredibly meaty, almost to the point where I feel like right now I need some pickled vegetables or something, you know what I mean, yeah. It needs some kind of acid it's definitely getting really rich like the wagyu itself it just melts when it hits your tongue and that of course is fantastic and the whole bowl gives off this kind of buttery presence which is interesting I think the vegetables are pickled, they taste so bad, yes, they are pickled vegetables, yes, yes, so that's what they are using to counteract it, yes, I wouldn't even call this broth.
I was, I would almost call this sauce, it's so thick every time I try it. a sip of broth like I've put on a new coat of lipstick, no I mean like it's thick, it's like you can taste the jelly and it also gives off a really nice chive flavor because I think that's what they are the oil drops. Overall, I feel like this is a really good bowl of ramen to eat every once in a while. I don't think I can eat it every week. Honestly, I think I prefer the last one more. What do you think I like?
It's good, but maybe not that good, you know, this is as good as butter, it's just me, I mean, no, I'm just saying that I think the last one exemplifies like the Michelin star quality war, this one is already you know the price it's justifying the price, I get it, there's a lot of wagyu here, yeah, yeah, but the last one was very, I feel like there was a lot of thought that went into it, I had to drink some tea because even after eating it. It was like five minutes, ten minutes later, I still feel how gelatinous it is, don't drink cold water, if you come here and get something like this, any time you're eating something very greasy, don't drink cold water, it's okay, it's not going to be like that.
It's bad for your stomach, drink hot tea, this is a jung rack of lamb, so jajang is a fermented bean sauce that is usually made into noodles and put on this lamb. I'm a little conflicted, the fat part is really good, you like it, man. So, how many dimensions do you give to this? Oh yes, there are a lot of dimensions. There are a lot of dimensions right there. Lots of dimensions. Actually, just a really good dimension. The giant sauce gives it a nice earthy flavor. I'm a little hesitant because Took a bite of this part, it wasn't as juicy as obviously the greasy part, oh the sesame sauce is excellent, a little load is poor juicy meat, no shrimp in this either, long story short I would definitely recommend the family noodles if you really want it. try the wagyu, go for it, but I think the family noodles might be the best, but overall, pretty solid congratulations on your star, hopefully when our ramen shops open and we have like two Michelin star noodle restaurants in town from New York, that's my dream anyway I'll go back to miraculoum thank you all so much for watching if anyone says goodbye to everyone later thanks for eating with us there you go, you heard it from the man thanks for eating with us just arrived at At home I get a lot of comments and messages asking me because I tend to eat a lot, what should I do to make up for the day of eating?
So I don't do this every day. I don't go out every day and eat five meals like I did today right away when I'm at home I have to work out and today is my cardio day so I'm about to do an hour of cardio so what I would normally do is to have a roller machine, which I will do. 30 minutes and I like to do this because then I can watch kdramas while I do it, then I do half an hour of running and then my favorite workout, I have the mission and there is a game called excitement of the fight yes You know, it's like it's a game of boxing.
If you play for about two or three minutes, you already start sweating, so I fight six and seven opponents and I'm covered in sweat, so after that I'll feel pretty good about everything I just did. say, well, I never feel good about it, but you know I can burn a little bit, so what I eat on the days when I'm not filming, I'll make a salad with carrots and I'll make my own tea eggs, so if you guys I want a great egg and tea recipe. I have one, they are fantastic tea eggs and for some of the meals I will use almond milk or almond coconut milk and I will have some cereal with a magic spoon and when I eat the salad I will combine it.
That's it, you know, a piece of steak, some protein, and to get some good fat, I use some almonds or cashews. I stop consuming carbohydrates. I also do intermittent fasting, so I usually eat twice a day and don't eat after six. Usually my first meal is around 11, my second meal is around five, so those are the things that have worked pretty well for me to keep me relatively sumo-free and then on my non-cardio days I do push-ups . I have a bench with some free weights so I really enjoy working out, as you can see I'm fine even though I binge like this maybe a couple of times a week, I can keep it up with what I do.
Of course what I do may not be what you need to do so everyone is different so don't just control whatever I do and I have shown you how I do the workouts before but I never told you much in detail. I guess my eating habits outside of when I'm filming and of course that's just when I'm in New York, so when I'm in Seattle it's different, when I'll be in Texas it'll be different. Sure, and when I travel to other countries it's completely different because then I mean I have access to gyms or weights or whatever, so the key for me is always not to push myself all the time.
I will have really amazing eating days. but I don't always eat like this, so I know you guys care a lot every time, make sure you take care of your health and I appreciate that and I'm doing everything I can to be as healthy as possible. I can, so I eat a lot of spinach and I feel like my arms are a bit popey, obviously I have to exercise and go to bed. Thank you all very much for watching us. See you later.
