More Interesting Facts About,

the most customized 2022 newell coach i have seen...

It's definitely ticked all the checkmarks and what we like, so it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we're definitely enjoying it right now. I have seen many things. of the new coach cabin areas, but this coach has some things he's never seen before. The first thing that really catches my eye is the triple screens up here, plus these huge greens, and what's the story with what we have? I'm looking here at why their trainer is different than any other Newell 22 I've seen. Out of the box you normally have a 10 inch screen up there and you can have whatever, from down here on the valid screen you can send whatever image you want. to that center screen, so if I press a little button here, it will send this image there normally.
the most customized 2022 newell coach i have seen
I would like to have the rear camera up there, that's the standard view and it's labeled as your rear camera, so on our previous trainer, which was On the King Air we had the lower mirrors, so when you have the lower mirrors you look towards the left, you have the camera here and you look to the right, so on this coach with the upper mirrors I wanted to keep my eyes focused on a higher plane oh yeah, that's why we have the left camera always showing there, the right camera always showing and then this is selectable so I can keep my view when I'm changing lanes at the top, the other thing it helps with is when you automatically turn on the turn signal, usually by default the left camera comes up, but then you lose the jeep in the background so you don't know when you are in front of the car you are trying to pass so this way I can always follow a static image of the jeep there and know when they pass me so I can get into their lane .

Alright, I came up with this. This is what I wanted. I built it and then sent it to Newell and they integrated it so that there are three 8-inch screens compared to a single 10-inch screen. I also notice the red carbon fiber diamond stitching, the suede steering wheel, what's up with some of the other things? I know Newell used this black fire card. I love the cabin of the Newel. Compared to the prevost, the Pravos look like they're from the '80s to me and I spent a lot of time behind the wheel, so I wanted something that was more modern.
The King Air was fine with the two big 10 inch screens, but I really love this new cabin and they use this. black carbon fiber so I went on the website and they had a red carbon so I said we could change the black carbon to red carbon and then that went in a completely different direction where the accent color turned out to be red carbon uh the problem. With this, with the black carbon fiber, it's just a normal fabric. The way they get the red carbon is by putting red kevlar into the fabric, which is incredibly difficult to work with and cut, so it definitely presented more challenges than I expected. guys, but basically you're done, we even have a red carbon fiber post here on the entry step, we have red carbon fiber dash panels and then if you look up to the roof, Andrew, we have a red carbon fiber inlay on the roof, which really adds a whole other dimension to this coach, um, and that was the type of design we went with, the red carbon and all the red accents, so what else is going on in this coach?
Well, basically, we have this crazy AV system that I appreciate and I don't know if it's everyone's cup of tea, but it's a very, very intensive AV system for a trainer, we specifically do it, so in my company, which I own it, we focus a lot on high-end commercial and residential audio. videos so we definitely know what I like and we are not a DIY solution so we have top of the line products here from companies like crestron qsc uh meyer sound that I can guarantee has never been put in this type of application before, but we'll give you a tour and see what you think, yes, so I want to talk more about the electronics, but let's talk about the design on this coach, I mean everything from the carpet to the pillows, all this diamond stitching, what are some of the things we're seeing in the design here?
Well basically this is what you get when you buy a Newell, you have access to Amber, she's one of the designers there and she just takes you step by step through all the different elements and there's literally four different fabrics for the roof, like this which is this silver one which is like a brushed silver leather, there's also this white leather and then we have this which is like a faux snakeskin. We have snakeskin leather, then we have this silver leather and there are so many elements and you can go through this whole selection process with them and choose all the different styles and everything, and then they let you do it.
Many of the standard noodles come with curtains here to cover the windows and we didn't like the curtains, we just felt like the only window we can't block is the front door so we wanted to eliminate the curtains. Make this a little cleaner than normal so we went without the curtains and then they custom made this seat belt cover for us because the seat belt cover would normally be covered by the curtain so they went ahead and They had to solve that problem. When creating this for us, the other thing we did here, they usually have this acrylic panel to cover some of the gauges.
I didn't like the look of that kidney-shaped acrylic panel. They said no problem and created some pop. up for us, so it's got everything that the standard newel has, just in a different finish, so they're definitely open to whatever you want, whatever you want, they'll help you with that, we even have the red carbon here. this gps system uh so they use it all the time we completely redesigned the audio system for the dash so they normally have two options they have their standard or they have their premium audio package and I basically said I want to design my own .
So we have, these are focal speakers. They had never actually done this before. I mounted the tweeters on the eight pillars just as I would in a high-end audio system, so we have six and a half component speakers here. we have a six and a half uh coaxial speaker for the center and then we have the other speaker there and then we have this is actually a 10 inch uh jl audio slim sub which is the new standard location new box standard uh half cubic foot Volume interior, so we found a speaker that matched there and we put it in and then we have, for when we drive, we have a control knob there that lights up red, of course, because it has to be red, so that's my audio and sub . control for the audio and I have different presets, so I can preset it to be focused on the driver or both, so it's all part of the audio system that we installed and we take it off the main Newell dash here, which has everything that we need as a source.
Well, now we talk about red. We've already mentioned red a couple of times in this trainer. Your previous trainer, the premium trainer group where we are, helped you sell and we made another video where Adam speaks. about the whole experience of him going from the King Air to this newel, but your King Air was blue, everything in this car is red, I don't see anything blue, what's the story? We just wanted to do something different so we had the blue on the King Air and we wanted to just change things up and give us a different look and I think there wasn't a lot of blue at the time we did the King.
Here we are seeing a lot more blue occasionally red. uh we're just starting to see a little bit more of it so again it's a brighter color that we wanted to get away from the traditional bronzes and dark greens and browns. We definitely like the different style that maybe not a lot of people like. but this is what we like and this is definitely our exclusive edit notice on his paint job and we're going to take a look at the paint job on this wagon and Adam will explain some of the details of the work that we've seen in the paint job of paint, but I'm noticing that some of the same patterns in the paint job look familiar inside this coach, these pillows here are the same type of pattern that I was seeing in the paint job there, it's a little similar with that geometric shape, we have a hexagonal shape in the back shower that we take outside and then we have other tricks, paint schemes that we work with, so I don't really like trainers that look like them.
We are designed by two different people, one on the outside has a dark, very old look, and the interior is all white and shiny and has a different look, so I really like how we incorporated the exterior and vice versa, so that the carbon We will see so much inside as outside um and the red shapes, red colors and then the geometric shapes from the back, so we have the two recliners here, so in the previous layers we had a fireplace, we have a great day now. I used to have two Great Danes, but in the previous car we made a chimney instead of the second sofa to give the turning radius room for the dog, so this car gets a little tight now, but the recliners help and we We have a good place to sit, so we have a 49-inch TV up here that we can watch TV on.
We just want to see something basic. We have a 65 inch TV in a pop up. This is a Sony Oled. TV again, I think Newell normally uses LG so I'm a Sony fan so we went with a 65 inch pop up, we have a 32 inch. Turns out it's a Samsung, here it's the only 4k 32-inch TV on the market so it's hard to find, but we want 4k everywhere. So we have a projector on the back and we have a 55-inch OLED on the outside, so that's the type of images we have. Come on, what else do we custom make here?
We saw this on another coach, uh, that Newell, I think it was 1685, so it's got a nice white countertop, but we backlit it to give us a little bit of color and obviously we can change the color of that, which they've never done before. and that we didn't ask them but they just went and did it because they know us and they know we would appreciate it since their pop up here gives a little more counter space and They also lit it up for the first time yeah I've never seen that with the bottom lit up with that red glow under the white countertop, just amazing and one thing I must point out that keeps catching my attention while we're at it.
I'm looking at this, this is this rug here, the way this rug meets the floor and then this kind of credenza p or no uh, kind of a coffee table there, I don't even know what you would call it, um, so es they called the David ottoman so they asked someone to come up with a new design and there's a cabinet guy named David and he designed this ottoman so this is the David ottoman, David huge, scream, one of the coolest pieces of furniture that I've seen. in every other RV and then of course all these cool little details, last night when it was dark Adam was showing us the lighting, I don't know if we'll see it as much now, but at night when that lights it up. it just gives it a fantastic look and I have to show you a close up of all the different little details like the black diamond leather uh just on the little remote holder and right above Adams they definitely do a great job. work and like I say we specified a lot of the things on this trainer but then they went overboard and came up with things we hadn't even thought of so really pleased with this they recommended this Wilson art laminate. uh, of course, the books combine the best they can,but this is a matte finish which we really like, we didn't want more shine, one of the things we did was put in pop-ups, so these are induction chargers for your phones, but if you need more plugs, you have USB and you have more charging plugs again.
You'll never have enough outlets when you're on a couch for all of our electronics these days, but we wanted to keep it clean without a bunch. of outlets in the walls and that kind of thing, we have some hidden outlets up here, we have a nice window in the kitchen that we've never had before, so we're happy with that, which adds another element when you're here in the kitchen they have um uh forget what this type of material is called, but it's a composite sink versus stainless steel, it's a little bit smaller than the previous model, um, but we seem to be happy with it so far.
The Hands Growing custom faucet was one of the ones she picked out for us, so again, she really amber, really got to know us very well over those three days and really came up with a lot of things that we like, can you show us that faucet? Sorry, you showed it. I've never seen one of these. This is kind of like a standard faucet like you normally have, you can wash all the dishes in there, but if you're washing dishes. It has a waterfall feature that you can actually wash the dishes in here, so cool, sorry, go ahead, yeah, get a little trick that she found for us, which is definitely something we weren't expecting, yeah, and while you were pointing that out, I've I just have to see a close up of this backsplash here to show that texture, I mean the materials that Newell uses and then the scon slide is this.
They chose that it's absolutely part of Amber's design package, so with the plant here, that and all? everything attached so you can get on track with this also attached the cherries that we really like and then this uh this x uh accessory that you brought us here so she really all the pillows everything is personalized and chosen by her so I really appreciate the work you have done, even the dishes. I have to show you the dishes here Andrew. Oh yeah, they have a cute red swirl and they come with all these drawer organizers that we really like, they help keep things organized and safe. move so they've really done a great job with this even our cutlery has leather lined drawers for the cutlery uh with these dividers so it's really just the finishing touches that you don't normally find that people want to put in that extra extra effort to get you all these things and they really did a great job, yeah, and I realized when we got in the coach, it's different now, but your TVs had a video of your coach playing and then here too.
I have to show everyone that this is actually a coach's book with all kinds of different pictures. That came with a trainer, just another cool little gift. And then, didn't they do something else? Oh yeah, so they have that. I think the front image or one of the interior shots they took actually made a custom puzzle for us, with all the newer main image, so cool, it's just those little details that you don't ask for and can't. Put a value on it, but it just shows the level of commitment they have to bring you into that Newell family when you spend this amount of money and put so much time and effort into their product.
They really show you that they care so much. While you're at it, the floor I also have to point out that the floor is a completely new style with these huge tiles, like you can't even see the seams, what's the story of the floors here? So we're back to the dogs. We didn't want anything super shiny or shiny and this is actually a concrete slab made of concrete. It comes in six foot or eight foot by four foot sheets that they cut and what they do here, so this is a drop. here on the floor, this is the center of the carriage, this is another drop, so you try to line up all the grout joints so you can't really see where the retractable floors are, it's just a nice finish, it's very difficult to stain. a good quality product, it's a little bit different and we didn't want more design on the floor because there's a lot going on up here.
We wanted the floor to be pretty simple in the previous coach, we had this euro type dining room that looked really cool. It had a motorized table but it seemed very inconvenient to get in and out of, so we chose a more traditional style dining room, which is nice, it spreads out and you can put a leaf on the table however you can. for more people here if you really want it and we don't have to deal with the chairs we had the outside chairs on the last one so this is a cool table yeah let me tell you about this so it came from a company in Colorado. and this is a steel cap that they put on it, they grind it, they give it texture and then they paint it to match, so this is a raw steel coating and this is a color that they make and this is actually the same design than the roof. where this is the red carbon fiber on the roof, so we combined that to attach the roof to the table again.
I like when things go together and look like they're supposed to be there, so again, a little different. Also red speakers here, so just another fun little treat, the red brings all the accents, this is the newel, uh, it makes this glass curio cabinet here, which is nice, we added the side panel and the glass so you can see it from both angles they are solid on this side I like to see it with the whole mirror and then we made a display shelf on top so you can have a couple of things and maybe a little piece of art or whatever be, up there, the incorporated coffee.
The coffee maker is amazing with the keurig attachment you must have you must have your coffee in the morning and we have a nice wine fridge here oh yeah so I have all the good wines even Andrew you will notice the wine bottles yes sir, the real story is not our wine, but match the coach and the cherry, that fits exactly with the cherry at the top, so one of the other things we did here was we tried to simplify some of the button panels and get We removed a lot of the extra buttons that you might normally find, so there's usually two groups of 10 and then another group of 10, I think up or five, just a bunch of extra buttons.
We try to simplify this as much as possible. We created more global buttons. So we have all the shades or day shades up and down, instead of having each individual shade, and we even went so far as to hide some extra buttons, yeah, to hide this panel just to try to clean up the look and, um, just do it . a nicer finish and focusing more on the lights versus all the extra panels no, I like it, I definitely like it and you know, as we're chatting here, I have to point out this paint, did you have any say in the design?
What a beautiful painting, so again, this is amber and then I think this person here that sign is that she is a Newell customer or she is a newer customer. I'm not 100 sure and they just make the paintings for them so. They've had newels before, I don't know if they still have one, but they have a relationship with the factory and they came up with this, so you'll notice there's a pattern of x's on the white again, not the nachos and then we. I also have a biker team and for you to put a tire track, oh that's great, just little things, we didn't ask for any of that, but, um, she just took it with what we had mentioned to her during the three days of What we like. and what we don't like and uh we came back with some great looking artwork, the artwork on the back is amazing and also nice, can we continue browsing the coach?
Absolutely, we'll start with the vanity here. Yes sir, I have the. uh air doors wow here's a little bit of a different and fun mosaic. We wanted to express ourselves as much as possible, but also make it so that if someone really didn't like one of the key features, it wouldn't be that hard to do it again. tile this bathroom if you really want to, so we went with onyx quartz countertops, sorry, they are backlit here and a little hard to see with all the light on in the room, but they are backlit, we have the suede walls that They're really pretty, oh.
Look, that's real suede. I really like how they did it, that Corian frame just ties everything together so well that we have a bidet on the vanity, which is nice, one of the things I have to mention, so this faucet that we really liked. I bought it maybe six months or a couple of months before I ordered the sofa for our office because I just liked the look of it, we didn't end up using it, so I asked Newell and said, could we use it in the bathroom? Oh, absolutely, you know, it met the criteria, it was small, so they liked it and they actually gave us a refund on our bill for what they would normally charge for the vanity faucet compared to what we supplied them.
Wow, which I think is just amazing. We didn't have to do that, we didn't ask for money back, they had a bit of time to figure out how to install it which I think would have easily made up for the value but you know they were worth say 250. For a tap we supplied we got a refund for a good portion of that and I thought it was really very good the way they treat their customers and you get what you pay for a good way of doing business yeah very. Honestly, I really like that well-chosen faucet and Adam and I made a whole video of it.
I'll leave a link to that video in the description below where he talks more about the entire design process and I've shared a lot of great information. that video, so as soon as that video is live, I'll make sure the link is in the description below, we have our refrigerator here, this is the Fiskar Pi Cal refrigerator, uh, nice big refrigerator with double doors open, which is nice, lots of refrigerator space and then a big freezer here, oh yeah, so I have the uh, I think you have the royal crown, yeah, I'm not officially sponsored by crime, so if anyone's listening , I should also point out that the hardware is not a carbon fiber but really cool, yeah, it has the same diamond stitch, so if you use this on the refrigerator sink here and then on the refrigerator here, um also on that handle, even on the remote coffee table stand, as if everything is tied together. which is just amazing what they do.
You were telling me about the line here on the refrigerator, how you had something custom, uh, here with this coating, well, they're going to hate us because now everyone else who owns a Newell coach might recognize that there's a little difference here, like this that when they first built it they put a standard freezer door on it to match, but it was just cut out here to allow for ample cooling of the freezer and I just my crazy LCD and I wanted it to match and they lined up here and, um, James, my engineer that I worked with, he wasn't so sure that it was going to work, you know, giving the refrigerator enough cooling, but I explained to him how much opening we had should be fine, so he went ahead.
And they actually redid this piece for us after the trainer was finished to carry out that detail I had in my head, so they didn't have to do it at all, but really cool, this is another cool thing too. Some of my clients at my company saw a photo of the coach and found us this material and custom embroidered our little tea towels for us. Hey, it's amazing what people go to to find this kind of stuff and they put in all the effort they have. uh, to be able to create something like this, absolutely fine, coming back, do you want to see the door?
Yeah, right, yeah, let's look at the door, yeah, the door is cool, this is again all amber, not us. It's nice, you can use that, I think we told them. Their industrial style was one of the styles we liked, so we started with industrial, which is probably where the concrete floors and some of these more geometric shapes with the diamond pattern over the windows came into play. I think that's what it took. Let's get to some of that pretty stuff and then this is what, this is the heart of the beast, it's not the engine in the back, Andrew, yes sir, so this is the audiovisual system here that we put in, wow, so we have this.
Plaque here to commemorate the work that both my company Av Spaces and Newell did to put this coach together. It was definitely a labor of love, Andrew, yeah, no, that's right, you said you had about 500 hours into the design of this, probably close. to that and all the work and you know, getting people to work on it was definitely a lot of work, but we got exactly what we wanted, which is all you can ask for, so we have, here's our audio system. here we have amplification, we have dsp, we have surround decoding, we have all this is qsc, so qsc is great.
They use this technology where we can put audio on the network, so we have a full Cisco. network system we canbalance the audio anywhere over the network and everything goes into this, so the sky is the limit with what you want to do to move the audio, so that the dash audio comes back here, gets processed, goes back to the board through the amplifier. We have audio going out to the entertainment area all over the network, so the best thing about this that a lot of companies struggle with is interference. You have all these cables in tight spaces.
You have 12 volts. You have 24. volts, you have 120, all running next to each other because you don't have a lot of room to separate all this wiring. You end up when you turn on a device that has a motor and you hear noise, so people try to ground it. and it becomes a big problem in a trainer like this trying to make a high end audio system, so basically all we've used here is a shielded cat6 cable and everything is connected to the network, so it really We are only sending packages. audio, not analog audio, at any distance, so we can really reduce a lot of opportunities for that noise.
I really just wanted to use all the speakers and all the technology we had on the coach, so it was pretty simple in my opinion. As for scheduling, it was a little more difficult, but we made this work, so we basically have three areas in the room. Here we have the upper cabin where we have a 49-inch television. We have the living room that is 65 inches. TV and then we have the small TV in the dining room or the 32 inch TV so you usually have surround sound in the living room and then you have the TV speakers for the ceiling TV and you have the TV speakers for this 32 inch TV in the dining room.
What we've done is just built the system to prioritize the audio system, so if the ceiling TV is not on and the living room is not on this speaker here, we add everything to mono and whatever source is on this TV comes out of those speakers. In this case we have a better sounding TV speaker, if the living room is not on and the ceiling is on then we get the front right speaker and the rear right surround speaker in the living room becomes the left and right speaker for any audio that go to the tv or network plus the cabin subwoofer becomes the 2.1 channel sound system for the overhead tv its great and then if the lounge comes on it overrides everything and becomes a 5.1 surround sound system complete with cabin subwoofer too. and then if the cabin is on and all these zones are off, then it becomes the subwoofer for that system in the front, so just using all the products that we have here and moving the audio because we have that dsp sound system in the back end we can do that kind of stuff so it's really just programming and the ability to have the dsp so we can modify the system and just use things again this is what we do which is unusual to have a client that know about these kinds of things. things that want to help, so we have our music streamer here.
We have uh dvr for the cameras. We have two Apple televisions. We have two HD Direct televisions. So we have the HD satellite dish on the roof. We didn't get the moving satellite on this one because we only used it once on the King Air, so we only have the stationary one. We have a big Crestron switch here, so we have eight inputs, eight outputs, and we have all the cameras. it can be powered here we can show cameras on any of the tv's everything is over the network and then the processor and the ups so this is the heart of the beast right here and a lot of work went into this nice room yeah , so the design does not stop throughout the coach, what is happening here sir here in the bedroom? uh we chose the uh noel has a couple of options we chose a smaller bed this is the queen bed versus the king size bed um no I really don't need the king size so we wanted more cabinet space and Newell we felt like they were a little lacking in storage when we got to the front of the bus but as we got back there is so much storage in this one that I don't think we'll ever be able to fill it, it's just amazing we keep finding great storage pockets as well which is really cool, we have deeper cabinets here, so these are wardrobe cabinets, um cabinets on the bottom again, we did the lighted countertop here and the lighted countertop on the nightstands, which is nice, more space in the cabinets here, we have a basket, a built-in basket here, which is good, so what Newell has started to offer is you have three options, you have a TV that they can mount on the wall here. that's in the bedroom or you can do a pop up tv and if you do the tv here you miss the big window which is unfortunate if you do a pop up tv you miss all these drawers or they start making a projector so what I didn't like and it is mainly due to sheer laziness, if you are in bed and want to watch TV, you have to get up and open this cabinet to get to the projectors, the projector shines knowing good.
What I know is that we actually have a piece of projection glass. This is a dual anti-reflective glass that they

customized

and built in there so we can keep this case closed and have the projector turn on fine, so I think that's a first. I've seen it before, you know? If someone has done that before, I would put in a lot of money, maybe not that much money, but a lot of money that has never been done before. It's very unusual, seeing that it's mainly for, you know, movie theaters. or things like that where they have the projection in another room is the only real reason you would need something like that, but I didn't want the noise or having to open the door just to turn on the projector, we created it.
We 3D printed an intake manifold for the projector that pulls the cold air out of here and then we exhaust this whole enclosure through this enclosure to the back behind the material here for an outlet, so we create enough distance between the inlet and the exhaust to hold the projector is great, very nice, a lot of work went into it and noel was very happy with our desire to help them, you know, solve this problem and make it exactly what we wanted. Now I say that we did the 3D modeling and all the calculations. in the airflow that I needed and they were happy to install it, it was very nice, so we have the fish there, she has these books here, um, which I don't even know what they are yet, the year of fear and then we have the horse.
I really like that horse, the only problem with the horse is that it blocks the jar a little bit, uh, but I really like the horse, so the horse will stay fine for now and then we have the plants, even the green plants, that that's all. and this comes all pre-glued here's another one of those rugs, yeah, in the front, so they have this configurator on this website that they send you to and you can choose the design you want and choose the colors you want on each of the different sections and design whatever you want so they are not cheap but this is like a fake cowhide so it is really durable and will hold up to a lot of traffic.
Yes, they just picked out all the pretty fabrics for us and me. They really like this blanket that, oh yeah, so I think we picked out this fabric in this fabric separately and they custom made these rugs or blankets for us, all the sheets and everything is made by Newell for the bed, they gave us a combines different sets of sheets which is really nice, a little bit different design with the rounded material so you don't have to worry about the sheets, pillows and everything that comes with it so it's al

most

ready to move in with the pack of Amber design with all the plates and the cups and everything, really very, very, very nice, yes, and the artwork here, I mean the red ones, very easy to match if you put them together, oh yes, they actually match and then they split them up for this, very good again.
This artist here is either a previous Newel owner or a current double owner. I'm not sure, but they have a relationship with the factory and they just gave them the color palette that we chose and they did their thing, yeah, and I see. that x there uh like in the painting there's another x here yeah, a lot of subtle little things um and then the door is this uh can we close that sliding door? This is a sliding door and this is the geometric shape I want. to show you outside in the paint that we use all the time, it's really cool, I think they call it a circuit, uh, circuit board pattern, um, it was what the manufacturer called this design, so a lot of newels, if you remember, maybe time 10 years ago they used that. hexagonal shape on the exterior paint so I wanted something that was a little different than the standard hexagonal shape so this circuit board works with what we do for a living in audio video technology and coach.
Good welcome to the bathroom, yes. huge back bathroom here and I'm in awe of every square inch of this coach what's going on here so first of all we like this pattern that Amber found for us for the tiles but because of Covid they couldn't. I didn't get it and we really liked it. I'm sure we could have chosen something else, so they found a manufacturer to make them the same tile that they had suggested to us in the design meeting and they custom made it for us, so again, um. We would have easily made an alternative choice, but Amber really wanted to go with this and then it moves on to the shower, um, and then the center tile just doesn't have grout around it, that's actually the shower drain, so I know. many of them, many people are using linear style drains.
This is, I think, a level above that, when you can't tell where the drain is right, I can literally see all the drains and all these new things that I'm trying to find it now, oh literally it took me so long to be able to find drain. Actually, it's right here, you could barely see it. That's, uh, that's something new that this coach has, that I haven't seen before. Something else and then what's happening? here, that's the same hexagon shaped panel or hexagon shaped sheet metal and then we have a backlight, so if you want to see the shower panels there, we can change them, this has full RGB lighting behind them, so if you really you want to go crazy. and you have different colors in your shower, you can do that nice trick that they suggested and then we put this moe and a digital control unit here, um, without wanting to open the shower completely, oh, that's cool, it's actually going to be like this.
It turns on and it's controlled by Alexa and it gives you your temperature and everything and you can have different presets which is kind of cool, we just didn't want the normal faucets we wanted a little more high tech and digital and then that marble. that she found for us from behind, it's really cool, very happy with it, yes, it's a shower unlike anything I've ever seen. What else is happening? So we have this cool little light. A leather lamp here. We decided to go. with the tubes there was a small homage to their old style trainers.
They had these glass tubes that light up and create that nice effect. We have a heated towel rail, which is super nice. We don't have one of these in I'm still home and I see this happening in our future, just more storage for stuff up here is just amazing, and then this area here is my storage for my clothes and then basically the rest off the couch, uh, it's my wife, so we have This all-cedar closet, we have a Dyson vacuum cleaner that they built for us. We have the stackable washer dryers, the Asco washer dryers, which are nice and they all go in to make all the extra space on the other. newels so really really good solid solid design this is the quartz again backlit another cool little faucet it's a cool little faucet she found for us just turn it oh that's it and it turns cold to hot , which is nice, very good.
I designed the light panel up here which is also an escape hatch. I guess if you're on your side, I'm not sure when you'd want to use it or need to use it. I hope I never use it, but again, really, really. quality hardware again, there's a leather line, red leather lined dividers and everything, it's just that they really went overboard and again the plants and the red soap were chosen by them just to give us that accent, so really, really, we are great. very happy, okay I'm impressed by the interior of this coach, but you want to take us on a tour of the exterior of the coach, let's do it Andrew, okay, there's a lot of interesting things happening, but let's take a look.
The interior of these basement compartments here is something special, Andrew, so we have the big grill here again with all that carbon that we saw inside, absolutely, so a front kitchen in compartment one here and that red carbon fiber , what an amazing look, I mean, really different than anything I've seen anyone do, wow, it comes out pretty far, you can access extra stuff, so we have storage here,we have an ipad for external control, we have all the roasting pans again, everything is all done, we have spider control. I can put up the awnings from here.
Nice, no, there is no hidden panel. I have all the barbecue utensils and stuff here. This is a cool feature, so this is a place here. Plug this in. This is a light, oh yeah, from a mixing console, so again we do audio and video, so this is a light that you would plug in for a mixing console, so we try to pay a little homage here to what we do to earn life. How nice, how's the barbecue? light so it's kind of cool yeah and then we have a big grill here with a griddle and a burner and then this Andrew has all these pop ups that give you a little bit more space you have one here a big extra countertop , there, wow.
I have built in trash so people knock their umbrellas out of their drinks you know they have a place to stop them so oh that's cool a little trash session I like it yeah well thought out there's a lot of equipment leaving bay one. there and we're going to talk more about this paint job, there's a lot going on in this paint job, but let's keep sailing around these bays on day two, Andrew, we've got what everyone likes, when you have your food, you should have your baby so bait two here's your Dometic fridge freezer and we opted for not the dual zone just the single zone get a couple more beers here Andrews yeah from the extra large space absolutely bay three It could be your electronics bay.
Yes, in this case, some people put a small toolbox here. I've even heard rumors about Mark Martin's little red toolbox that has tried to top it so this is just a Milwaukee package so maybe a little stop here but undo the stop and I could slide this one yeah and then I can remove any of these that I want if I want to get to plumbing, for example, I can remove the first two. I have all my plumbing supplies. nice, really, really cool, system and it's locked, so it's physically locked into this tray here, so it won't fall out.
Extra storage, so this is the plumbing compartment where the electrical compartment is, a little lock on that, yeah, entertainment compartment here. I have a 55 inch TV here and this is again on the motorized swing arm, yeah, and I immediately noticed that you have that red carbon fiber, which is a lot of that carbon fiber on this trainer, and it's funny, Andrew, he didn't. the trainer, any lighter, which surprised me with all the carbon fiber, yeah, well, so this is, this is the outside system part, so these are Myers speakers, they're from Berkeley, California, I imagine the Most of you haven't heard it. from Meyer before, but they make all the big touring sound systems, so Dave Matthews Metallica just uses the Meyer sound, really really good, so we have two of those in there and then we have a big 10 inch subwoofer in here, so This is truly an amazing outdoor sound system. nice hot water 675 yeah and you know, as we're going over this trainer here, I'm sure people on YouTube are looking at this paint job and all the different patterns here, it's not just the crazy paint. work but it isYou have these wheels with the lugs.
Do you want to tell us a little about your paint job and the entire exterior design of this coach. As you may have seen in one of your previous videos, I'm sure you'll leave a link. This is Linda Jordan's last trainer that she did with Newell um 1722. We just wanted something really different. There were a couple of coaches that we liked that she used as references and then we finally said, "Do something crazy and we'll see if we can." she liked it, so she came up with this paint scheme, really cool, so she uses reds, blacks, silvers and whites.
This is the same circuit board pattern that we saw on the inside that was mixed in here just to give us a little bit of geometric shape. the outside is a nice red, it's bright red in the center and then on each end it fades to a darker cabernet red, which is really cool and then we saw another coach that we liked, which was very very black, it was black matte and So we liked the concept of that, but we didn't know how to use it in our scheme, so what we did, Andrew, is we have this shape here, this irregular shape, and we actually matted just the irregular part, which which is a bit unusual. but we thought it worked well for us and then I liked how people do the ghosting now using the plain white and the pearl white to give it that ghosting effect, but of course I wanted to do something different so we're actually using two different ones.
Metallic blacks here to give us kind of a comparison to that white ghost so this is the shiny shiny black it's a three layer black diamond it's a cadillac color from your cts-v and then a regular metallic black just to give it a There's a little difference between them and then with the matte on top, I think it looks really cool and this logo that's built into this matte stripe is actually the base of our corporate logo so it's hidden in there and it gives a little bit from Homage again without being too direct, yes, no, definitely when I saw this coach at the factory I couldn't get over this paint job.
I've never seen another coach that mixed matte colors with high gloss colors and then I also have to point out that these big drop shadows here there's a lot of intricate detail, I mean, that the camera doesn't necessarily pick up and then that ghosting and fading, You can see that this pattern slowly fades and then slowly disappears. here just an amazing awesome coach here yeah there's a lot of work on this Andrew over and over again so he did the paint and then ran out of paint and then they did the cutting and polishing I think because the awnings were delayed and then they had to leave Again with the awnings, paint the awnings, put all the stripes on the awnings because our graphics go over the awnings as you can see and then go back to cut and polish, then to ceramic and do the ceramic coating, then back to painting so that it remains matte, clean the irregularities. and tape everything back up so you spend a lot of time painting, yeah, yeah, so no, but the other thing is, you're talking about the big awning, so it has big bat wing-like awnings on both sides, but I do not know if.
I don't know if you guys on YouTube are noticing that there are no awnings on the windows, so it gives that completely flat look to the entire side of the car. What was your thought process on that, sir? Oh, we just ended up not using the window awnings. on the previous coach and again there was a lot of wind noise coming from those awnings so we are trying to reduce it and make it as quiet as possible especially at the front they normally have a big awning at the front door that sticks out and it just doesn't looks very attractive and then it's just with the window so we decided to remove it to make it a nice clean palette and I'm really happy with that and then I love the bat wing awnings.
I was so jealous every time I saw them, so we can put them three feet away on the slides and give us enough window shade and you can still have them that far away with a reasonable amount of wind. When you have them fully extended, the wind tends to lift them. Pick them up and put them back, so I think it's the best of both worlds. Yes it wasn't cheap but it was the best of both worlds but you have to thank Newell's for pre-wiring in case the next owner wants to add those awnings to the windows and we got a credit for the window awnings we didn't use, so it was very fair to work with us.
Okay, now these wheels. I've seen blacked out wheels, but they are a little different. What is the history of wheels? I really wanted something that was different and I've seen a lot of people do the black and then they did the high gloss black, then they did the powder coated matte black and I wanted to retain some of the shine and the depth, especially on these larger ones. drive axles so I found a shop in California called california chrome or cal chrome in valencia and they specialize in a process called black chrome plating so I actually got Newell they sent them the wheels and they polished them all and made this chrome finish black for and then they asked me if I wouldn't mind trying something different on the wheel lugs so they painted the wheel lugs the same color as the bright red here and then on these wheels this is just a plastic cap and they were able when you powder coat it you can't powder coat the plastic so you have to paint it and then it looks bad so they gave the lids a black comb finish here and then taped it on I glued the nut covers to make it look like the other dryback, so a lot of extra work went into those, um, just to make a difference, the big four here, uh, I have a little detour there on this paint job, but let's keep sailing through these bays, so this is just the other side of The diesel tank and the batteries, yes, again polish them.
Normally Newell gives you a cloth for the gas tank. I thought you know, if you're spending this kind of money, can you just add an extra one? They were forced to do it by throwing away the extra bibs on both sides, maybe they don't do this because they love the look of polished stainless steel, but anyway I just wanted an extra one and they were very happy to take care of it. of me on that, so we have the big house batteries there, I think there's six of them in this coach, six or eight, I'm not sure, so we have side access to the engine compartment, yeah, now we get this one running pressure washer. yesterday worked great, we tried to clean some of this stuff, we looked a little better, but even andrew in this case, the pressure washer, we hooked it up to hot water, so I didn't do it normally. do it in cold water, but obviously, as you know, clean hot water especially removes the oils that we get on the road, so they actually just hooked it up to hot water and with the diesel burner runner and the electric burner on high, this thing gave We had tons of hot water and we could see the coach, this newel, this is usually chrome here, it's darkened and then you also have a fade, from silver to black and then back to silver and then a pattern inside.
There's a lot going on there, yeah, so this is kind of um, I call it the RV seal. They didn't like that in Newell, but, you know, we just have the big x here that you can see again. Following the pattern we chose earlier, we have the AV Spaces logo up there on the mat and then that forms a W for my last name and then with the Newel logo because I didn't want Chrome, we moved. I turned it up a little bit more and then I put metallic paint on the newel and then added a matte vinyl to get kind of a nice outline of the shine behind the mat, so it turned out really, really well, which I may or may not have done.
It was an accident how they did it, but I think it turned out really well and then we have the camera on the top, so on this trainer we have the 360 camera, we have the left and right mirror. cameras we have the left and right fuel door cameras we have a front camera we have a separate rear camera we have two entrances for trailer um for trailer cameras we have an interior camera and then I added two more cameras on the roof so if you ever I go into somewhere where I don't know what the height is, if it's not marked or if I see some tree branches that I'm worried about, I can set up two separate cameras that just monitor the ceiling, if we ever hit something it'll be those cameras first.
Very nice, lots of cameras, lots of visual places to check things out and try to keep this paint job safe. You did something else on this coach that I have done. It has never been seen on any other Newell coach at the front. You absolutely want to show it to us, so it's a little hard to see in the sunlight, but as you can see, there's paint on both sides of the front cover and up there it's a little hard to see. with the camera, but what is happening here, sir? We have the kind of devil horns that we painted.
They weren't supposed to be double horns. They don't mean anything, but we only have some red ones. paint that comes in there to go with we wanted the front to be pretty simple, really simple, so we just put the it's pretty simple so i had them mount rgb lighting under the spoiler so we get the bottom part to glow and the top part to glow and it's on the same circuit as the rgb awning so it really wasn't a lot of extra work but it has rgb lights under that spoiler and they tell us these are the most rgb circuits they've ever put on a couch so it's got a lot of color this is a little different on this uh this has one of myfavorite features of the whole sofa, so again, this is the standard solution that they did here with the red carbon fiber and the new touch panel.
Yeah, what I wanted here in the clean and freshwater field, you normally get this plastic female connector. and you're screwing it and threading it or whatever, so these are actually quick release connectors that put in quick connections. It's great, you won't damage them, you'll never have to replace them and I can just screw them on. the adapter on the hose, um, they have a um, a water spigot here, just a water bib or whatever, but as you know, dogs constantly need to fill their water bowl, so I actually asked them to put a pot filling here, oh side. which pulls out so no water drips on the couch, simply pull out the pot filler, turn on the handle, and fill the dog bowl.
It's nice, I really like that feature they made for us. It has gray water bypass, which is convenient. if you don't have it, if you have a place to dump the gray water and then we choose the sanikon as our primary versus the gravity spillway, I just like the sanikons a little bit more, for our applications, we can pump it out if we need to. to a little further away so we have Santa plugged in as our main way of getting rid of debris and black paint so everything is nicely finished, I have the knobs to turn everything off, I'm very happy with the result.
Yes absolutely, and again this is real carbon fiber, it's not fake vinyl that's going to peel off, that's the real thing, these cameras are part of the 360 camera solution and by default they paint all housings of the black cameras and I said: Hello guys. Wow, I got a really nice red paint job, so they custom painted these two cameras for me. I love the way they didn't argue, they could see that it made sense and therefore they just went and did it, so I really appreciate it all. the extra extra effort they put into the factory to make this exactly what I wanted, well guys my favorite polish from Bae Adam is with all the stands really well made, Adam is not my company but I like their polishes and their bottle racks. uh, so we have our wash gloves, we have our windshield wiper scrubber here, uh, foam cannon and then a ladder for the roof, oh, and then we have this tray here, there wasn't much room after we got the big barbecue, like this I just wanted to use the space in some way and this worked out pretty well Hi Adam, I can't thank you enough for the opportunity to see this beautiful trainer.
Any other words you might have for the people on YouTube, that's fine, so I really appreciate you guys. reviewing this and we put a lot of work into this and I'm very proud of it and how it turned out and the guys at Newell did a great job and I appreciate that Andrew had a way to show everyone the coach and Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing so much great information and please note that you know Adam is the owner of the coach here not a seller so I really appreciate an unbiased opinion so I can't thank him enough for taking it up.
Time is extremely valuable so I really appreciate it, so I also really appreciate all of you on YouTube liking these videos and subscribing to the channel. I hope everyone is having a great day. Thanks again. Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
