May 01, 2023
With the release of Bone Lab, you might want to go over the hi

story

of Boneworks, its prequel game, maybe you only have one quest and have never

play

ed Boneworks or maybe you're just like everyone else and reached the end of Boneworks not knowing nothing about the hi

story

because in any case, it didn't make sense, this video will present the complete history and lore of

boneworks

and part of the duck season to prepare it for the bone lab, so I present to you the complete history and lore of

boneworks

as far as we understand it before bone lab hey what is this? a video who's in the video Arthur Ford the director of security for a company called Monogon Industries is putting something on the computer with Gammon written on it that's probably important we'll come back to that later he puts on a headset the headset is heavily modified this It's not your standard Quest 2 you buy at Walmart, in fact you may notice the headset also says Gammon after donning the headset we carry in this world as Arthur Ford as part of his job as director of security. performs an audit of anomalous material by marking materials for archiving or incineration, obviously that's not how real cyber security works, but let's move on, but wait, what is this? whatever, let's take a break from our normal work and go to the break room.

Wait, something strange just happened. We don't know what happened, but it was dramatic and it messed things up. This is probably related to that USB stick from earlier. we will come. we will come back to that later but for now we leave our office and find ourselves in the technical demonstration museum here we learn a lot about this world we are in we are in a world called Mythos OS Mythos is a 3D operating system that is capable of simulating spaces infinite virtual worlds for people to live, work and

play

, people in the real world will be able to access Mythos through a VR headset, it's supposed to be a literal metaverse where people can exist outside of currently reality while you play through the story Mythos is in development and is about to be released to the public Mythos is being developed by a company called monagon Industries in the museum we can see a brief history of monagon they essentially started out as a company in the 1960s creating a tape player that they went on to develop more cassette tapes than laser disc players than game consoles and even computers are now involved in almost every industry including health food and of course virtual reality entertainment a remarkable monagon creation plus of the VR headset with Virtual Worlds, it was the poly system, a retro game. system that several years ago competed with another company, Gammon, remember that since before, Gammon had a great success with its game system called the king bit, a remarkable game of kingbit is duck season, that we can see and learn more about the game from boneworks prequel duck season much of the boneworks lore and easter eggs in the story are in the off season, but most relevant to boneworks is the use of voidway and void energy. void way or void for short is a mysterious alternate dimension that exists outside of space and time and Quantum vacuum energy particles can exist in multiple places at once.

More Interesting Facts About,

the full story of boneworks before you play bonelab...

The voidway is home to the powerful beings of Cryptids who are generally malicious. We meet several cryptids in Duck Seasons, like this clock cat and the sock monkey. the break room which is interesting Gammon discovered the voidway and used his void energy to develop the Duck Season game as part of the Duck Season plot. You discover a copy of the game that is haunted by a Void Weight Cryptid in the form of a dog. who tries to assassinate you but that is not important for our story right now, what is important is that King bit had a great success with his game console and monagon jealous of gammon's success with king bit is suspected to have reversed duck season engineering and thus discovered the void way for themselves after discovering the void way they focused their research on applications for the void way they ended up creating the boneworks engine which works similar to a game engine like Unity or unreal boneworks uses energy from the vacuum to create the mind of the void AI artificial intelligence capable of creating Virtual Spaces with Boneworks as the fundamental framework Monogon Industries develops Mythos OS to help keep things simple Think of Mythos as a virtual metaverse world that you can visit with a VR headset Boneworks is the engine or the virtual framework that uses energy from the void as a code to create Mythos and other worlds, the game also makes it clear that Monagon is connecting people's minds directly to the void through the Phone Works back-end and it is this back-end of Boneworks the one that guarantees that we will be resurrected in Mythos if we die in this metaverse, so with this Boneworks it works. two functions to connect the void to Mythos in a safe way and to prevent users from accessing the void directly because when that happens you end up with a murderous dog that kills everyone including you and your family just like in duck season.

It is important to know that Ford is the director of security for Boneworks and not for all Mythos. He remembers his first mundane task of sorting incoming materials based on boneworks. He is supposed to prevent the void material from entering and infecting Mythos. As the director of security you can easily hack Boneworks using that USB stick of Gammon and Gammon's headphones activating that USB stick stops the clock locks everyone out of Mythos and causes void energy to leak into the city all of this occurs originally in 3 14 but then with a game update it happens in 6 20. Well that was a lot of backstory but now we can understand a little more about what Ford's goals are so he brings this virus in and out and he locks everyone out just as Ford walks into the break room. above this break room there are messages scrawled all over the wall written by Ford to himself there are messages written all over Mythos and we'll get into theories about who writes them and why later but these messages in the break room are 100 Ford writing to himself himself some of the writings tell us what his goals are to die over and over again with no repercussions what if immortality is possible the way of the void could allow immortality it is obvious from these posts that ford's goal is to achieve immortality accessing the void in the way that our minds are directly connected to the void.

The back-end of the bones is the only thing that prevents true death, but how would you bypass the bones and achieve immortality in the void theoretically? If we could somehow stop the system clock, we could shut down the resurrection field inside the Midwest Chambers. We could resurrect in a vacuum. So basically the first step Stop the system clock. We already did it with the Gammon USB stick. We stopped the system clock, blocked everyone, and gave ourselves a few hours to achieve our goal. Next, we need to turn off the Resurrection field. The resurrection field is part of the boneworks engine and is what allows you, the player, to resurrect each time you die.
You may notice that unlike other games, you don't respawn at a checkpoint and you can retry as if nothing happened when you die. you respawn and the enemies you already killed the things you have already done are still being done this is because you are resurrecting and picking up where you died with the events that happened in your previous life still occurring because of this Resurrection Many of the messages written all over the world are believed to be the world are messages that Ford wrote to himself after he died many of the messages are advice or suggestions to help us on our journey, so it makes sense that a previous life would leave messages as guidance to help future Fords finally have success on this journey now this is just a theory and other messages in the world are obviously written by other beings but that is just a theory about the effects of the resurrection field so anyway Ford believes that at disconnecting the resurrection field you can resurrect in the void and thus achieve immortality wonder if you die in the void how do you die in real life everyone is afraid to try if you die in the Mythos you come back that can't be good for our psyche so that he will try to do what everyone else is too afraid to try, access the void and achieve immortality and with this goal in mind we set off after leaving the Tech Demonstration Museum.
Ford stands in the city streets with no bodies lying everywhere in the museum we learned that the null bodies are unaware workers of the city created by the empty mind AI they are meant to be mindless workers to build the city when Ford started the lockdown from Mythos the nobodies were put into hibernation but by mysterious means they seem to be gaining sentience and Ford has to fend off them at the same time as the Omni projectors appear and attack the sentient null bodies The Omni projectors are essentially an antivirus sent out by a company from security called Saber Lake you You might recognize the Saber Lake logo from this briefcase that Ford originally had.
We'll see more about Saber Lake later. Regardless, the Omni Projectors are there to destroy all the anomalies in Mythos, including Fordham himself. Other NPCs found on the streets are Crablets who are a virtual reality viewer who tries to force himself on Ford while damaging his health they want to further immerse us in this world by putting us in a virtual reality world within a virtual reality world we also see Noel rats running around, but these are harmless creatures that seem to just stare at us, but they are considered corrupted as the Omni projectors attack them as well, look, those are pretty colors, but don't touch them, it's void energy seeping into the city, oh hey, a video feed from some random guy apparently. his name is hayes and i wonder what foreigner wants here how are you still in town? well, the board is calling an emergency meeting for all Monogon employees, all of Mythos is on lockdown, it's crazy in here, I have no idea how you weren't. kicked out like no one else can log in, frozen system clock might have something to do with it, so if you can get to the central tower you could manually reset it and allow us to get back in, obviously you don't know.
It was Ford who started the lockdown in the first place, oh hey there's a Ford down the hall who mysteriously throws a gun at us then slams the door. I wonder what that could be now, this is not the only Ford clone we have. you are going to play this game while there are many theories as to how there may be multiple ford clones the real reason is not clear but it could be that ford is time traveling and finding versions of himself or it could be that the void that exists outside of space and time is connecting multiple realities together causing a multiverse rick and morty situation but again these are just theories all we know is we see this ahead he gives us a gun and let's accept it and move on from the streets we head to the runoff where we go through more puzzles and kill a lot of enemies here is a big sign that says melons here these kind of signs seem to be written by null bodies who have a strange obsession with melons and specifically a drink made of melons called melon belly, in fact, it is this melon belly that is corrupting the null bodies and making them sentient along with messages about melon belly, we see other messages saying things like down with monogon, burn it all, etc. the null bodies that gained sentience and realized that Mytho was their prison and that they want to get out with some more signs that promote the melon belly we see a new enemy known as zombies or ford early exit based on the Cure game mode, these they appear to be versions of Fords that have been severely corrupted, this is evidenced at the end of the Cure game mode, where all zombie strikers turn back into normal Fords after being healed.
One possible source of this corruption or disease is his addiction to melon belly, which is already known to corrupt null bodies, this is further supported by the fact that we usually see a lot of melon belly whenever you come across a large group. of these strong zombies; in any case, they are trying to kill us, so let's not let it. which we then find ourselves in the sewers, oh hey, another tv with a mysterious messenger, this time it's encryption specialist Boneworks, Alora, foreigner, you head to the tower to reboot. I've been obsessed with the possibility for weeks, and you acted first. he couldn't let you think you were the only one who saw it just leave a way for others to enter that's all i ask for our contributions leave a way he thinks he knows about our plan and i'm not sure what contributions she made but what ok let's keep going down the sewers, it's the main manufacturing point for all melon belly in Mythos and here you'll find yellow nolmen who have been drinking a ton of melon bellyand thus more than one clipboard has been corrupted we learn that a mysterious group called the lava gang taunts the bone makers by telling them that it was the lava gang that didn't teach anyone how to ferment melons with energy of the void, causing his sentience and corruption outside of this fact, not much is known about the lava gang supposedly residing in the void and having an unparalleled understanding of it they use this knowledge to wreak havoc on many realities as they are doing in Mythos giving the nobodies melon bellies after coming out of the sewers we find ourselves in a warehouse greeted by Haze again the foreigner is freaking out here uh there's a security rumor that someone broke into the complex and coordinated a gap and a myth.
I don't know why or who would know how, but uh, I think it's an inside job. I mean, these Saber Lake private security guys can't be trusted, so once you've reset the clock, we'll be able to get a better idea of what's going on. He still doesn't know who caused the virus, but he doesn't trust a group called Saber Lake security, he remembers them from before, we made our way through the warehouse and got to the Central Station, we almost made it to the time the Tower here at Central Station Elora speaks to us again abroad the reset is a beacon monagon will locate you in minutes what you can accomplish in minutes unless you are not worried they will find you willing to go and realized that to Ford he's fine with his real body dying once he accessed the void and achieved immortality after passing through the Central Station, we eventually find ourselves at the bottom of the Tower and somehow have to make it to the top along the way. of anime projectors and zombie fords try to stop us but we push our way through them and here for some reason a bunch of VR addicted strikers are having a rave.
This must be what Ford becomes if he lets the crabs control him oh and here's a reference to the stress level from Zero's first hoverjunkers game and here's our friend Haze alien again we can see what's going on and some it's definitely controlling the null men they're pulling gravity cores from the system clock maybe to open some kind of void door I I I don't know but all I know is this is super dangerous so good luck man they are a lot of words. so we finally get to the top of the Tower of Time and see the core of the system clock that we are supposed to destroy.
A pair of cult null corps worship the pyramid-shaped entity of the void. As we have seen before, everything is arranged in a perfect way, this must be where Mythos gets all the power out of him while fighting a group of enemies, we destroy the giant time core and we are transported to a mysterious corridor at the end of it. In the hallway is a mysterious empty entity and if you've been paying attention, it's appeared all over the game as a G-Man-like boot. We are completely sure who these empty entities are or what their goal is. They just watch us and run. far before we can get close to them behind the empty entity there is a door and if you play duck season you will recognize this door and the handle let's go through the door because you know why not go through the door we watch a video of our virtual version of Ford waking up in the same room where he first put on his VR headset at the same time we see the real Ford apparently knocked out with the headset still on his head our virtual horde grabs the stick with force grip and it's unclear if he's in a virtual version of the room or if virtual Ford now exists in reality, not really sure what's going on, but the theory is that it looks like here Ford has broken free of Mythos, has become a separate entity from his physical body.
We're not quite in the void yet, but we're leaving Mythos and going into the Boneworks Engine and now, with direct access to Boneworks, we can finally access the void. Remember before, Boneworks Engine acts as a medium between the void and Mythos boneworks prevents true access to the void and by putting on this VR headset, Ford is stepping into boneworks and continuing his journey into the void. yes, stress level 0 exists in his own universe. Fantasyland is an unfinished game, so parts of the game seem obviously unfinished. It has a medieval theme and is populated by dozens, perhaps hundreds of other Fords, but these Fords appear empty as if. they have lost a part of themselves one theory is that these fords have managed to reach the void where their mind has left them to enter the void leaving behind this shell of a body this would explain why this ford is staring at us he is so silly he is so dumb he can't even move until he sees us move and starts copying our actions we have to teach him how to move and walk and then he helps us escape from the melon belly he might have a little sway here on these fords as well as we can find melon belly bottle in fantasyland castle but without a

melon belly operation here they don't have access to enough stuff to become the zombie fords so anyway we use the stupid ford to help us escape from the zombie fords Ford King challenges us to a fantasy arena fight to gain an audience with them and after surviving these challenges we head to the castle which has many interesting artworks, the stained glass window seems to show Ford's journey into the void and the construction of this castle any pictures showing the R Fords being adorned with a Halo and the most interesting panel shows the system clock being destroyed with other Fords worshiping this moment in the castle the king challenges us to a fist fight and, Long story short, we beat the living pulp to a pulp. the king takes his crown and all the other Fords are delighted that we are now their King, but we are not here to become the king of Fantasyland, we are here to take the final leap into the void and achieve immortality behind the throne room . see a secret room where Hayes contacts us again laughs dude they found you in the old offices i mean as the physical world version of you how are you still in there that doesn't even make any sense i mean technically how you look get out there right now, since Laura predicted that the destruction of the system clock allowed, like a saber, to find our bodies in real life.
This means we need to hurry, unlike Mythos, which stays separate from the Void and only connects people's minds to the Void Duck Season and now Fantasyland are games built directly from Void matter. That's why Fantasland has this chamber with direct access to the void. In this room, we see many written messages warning us not to enter a vacuum. messages to us are warning us to stop it from going any further a ford version may have already made it to the void and these messages are their attempt to prevent other forges from making the same mistake but guess what? let's just ignore that entirely and move on as we look for a way to open this hole.
Allura contacts us once again and shows us that she found the USB stick that we used to hack the system and it starts all the lockdown to open the door we need to use this gravity manipulator and next to it is a message with this mysterious X symbol this symbol appears in another part of the game with messages that help us also appears in duck season X seems to be a void entity that is trying to help the player in both games and here seems to have provided us with the tool we need to access the void from a once and for all but at the same time sitting next to this tool is the duck season monkey Cryptid this Cryptid is meant to represent misdirection is he the one writing these messages telling us to back off or could it be him facilitating the journey into the void pretending to be X and helping us or has been ex all along regardless of whether we open the door and step into the void the consensus is that crossing this hole is the moment Ford's real body dies and his mind enters the void here you have to fight many enemies including a new one called king crab fighting these we make our way to camera 2 in the distance and here at the top of camera 2 we can observe that Saber Lake agents ambushed the real life.
We see the lever sitting there which confirms that this board is not the same as the one we saw earlier. destroying the system clock since 4 picked up the crowbar and put on an earpiece, we see the Saber Lake agents burst into the room along with the mysterious man with a hidden face waving towards the void entities that are in the room and then spin Cox's gun. and shoot Ford's lifeless body and with that you're ready to play bone lab. I want to point out that I left out an Easter egg from duck season that people used to think of at that level of stress.
The next three Zero games there is essentially a section of the game where you come across three doors, the first is the Boneworks door we found earlier, the next is a door titled Dead FM and then a machine titled King originally thought they would be the company's next three titles but obviously the next game release is called bone lab not dead FM who said bone lap might still have something to do with this door and specifically the Cryptid cat watch from duck season that seems to have entered through that door. I guess these three gates don't refer to three games. rather they refer to three different things that are important to this universe.
The Bonework story refers to the Boneworks engine and not the game specifically, so Dead FM and Machine King should be references to other major plot points and not games themselves. but outside of these suspicions we have no more knowledge about these three gates, the Cryptid or even the fate of Arthur Ford, we know that Arthur Ford will appear in the bone lab and hope
