he is a great finisher people don't give him credit because we see the half court shots he takes , but he's a great finisher with both hands, he makes contact well, so I'm serious. guy is this guy is phenomenal for the shots he takes is by far one of the toughest shots I've ever seen take wow let alone cross blood loan done exactly does it mean as much to us as to them absolutely and if that's the case so losing is absolutely going to hurt you know to the point where you would look at how I can do things differently he really is like that and it's amazing to see a superstar sacrificing who doesn't give a damn more than the group this employs calm and you have a serious, serious problem on your hands, so when I watch him play, that's what I see: Kirby gets his head because he's a champion, he's a MVP and in a moment, sean liverson just stopped, it was like I don't know if I've ever seen anything like this, but he's killing right now, he's so dominant right now, you know the things he's doing, he's bringing excitement to the game, I don't think it was a guy in our the league that can shoot the ball as well as he can. he does off dribbling or off receiving the ball and, you know, he creates so many different matchup problems for your defense and you always have to keep an eye out for them, how do you slow them down the same way you slow me down? can't steph curry to me he's a player i've never seen before you said steph curry changed the face of basketball itself that's what the game is and that's the effect of steph curry talk to steph curry he's ruining the game me i'm on the internet now i see a bunch of little kids dribbling 100 foot shots to warm up to start the game but he's doing something for them he's giving them a chance i've played against the best beat the best i've only seen something like this once you know growing up you see big guards mag ic johnson big or guys like that when i played big guards uh jordan penny hardaway lebron this guy reminds me where my thing is in this is what steph curry reminds me of when i see him he reminds me of a cute little baby i'm glad he's playing in this era because if he played an eye here on D-Wade, he would have to touch it up.

Steph Curry over Shaq and did it anyway. Shaq came out surprisingly so he's so little and so cute and he just wants to kiss him. him every time i'm sorry but he's killing right now he's so dominant right now you know the things he's doing he's bringing excitement to the game you know steph he's probably the most influential player when it comes to little people , yes, no one running. the lane they all stop at the three point line everyone i mean i train aau like i train the twins you know what i mean and like i said it's from the time they warm up that they're shooting from the line out of bounds instead of like doing layups and all g and that's literally the spin and the whole team shoots 3s now you know what I mean so that's the way the game moves so I understand like you said , giving little people a chance is what Steph is doing and giving them hope, but at the same time, like you said, there's a reason Steph is so good because he makes a lot of his shots, you know, I mean other People don't do that many and I used to hate him early in his career, but he.

I'm not going to do that but he kept proving him wrong which is why he's my best player and Steph is my favorite player because again this is something I've never seen before and when he first came I hated it. the guy that's sitting on the couch and when he goes to the corner and vomits no way he comes in and comes in and then you know, I hope, he's not going to make this neighbor go away and he finally earned my Respect and he's my favorite player. I like to be proven wrong. Yes, so my answer to these questions. ung cats when i say something probably wrong yeah take it to channel kobe what do you think when you see steph curry um, I see calm in him, I see your comments about him and I think it's something that a lot of players don't do.

I don't understand, I think so, I think it's very difficult for fans to really understand what I'm saying because most players don't understand it, but there's a great calm about it, which is extremely, he plays with a deadly chip. on his shoulder extra curry for three he's got it again he's feeling it and steph curry's got a dozen ah look at steph curry he'll be guarded by huh golden state had more shots moving in the midrange setting fire curry got it again 'cause he's not up, he's not down, he's not contemplating what just happened before or worrying about what's coming next, he's just there and when a player has the skills and has trained himself to have the skills to be able to shoot at the left, right, etc., and then that is mixed. with this calm ness in place and you have a serious serious problem so when I watch them play that's what I see we've talked about this with a few guys I think Draw most recently right before the playoffs started but Steph in particular, Draw was just him. he was just talking about how hard it is to protect him, you know, two guys specifically that you've been called the best defensive player in the league, steph, i think he did that recently, but i'm sure he said that before we talked. the hot hand and what happens when it starts to get crazy enough and nobody and steph do it all steph did it last night he does it all the time like the best defensive player in the league what do you do if anything to try to throw them out of that or there's nothing you can do everything i literally try to do everything the things he even tries the things he even tries yeah i'm like bro i wouldn't even consider it oh no but basketball wise i'm like he's putting this on heads little kids that's right it's okay to try no it's not okay to try alone he can do this alone he does this no one else steps back hand to face gets fouled from 38 feet out of sight i don't know if i don't would i felt like you would know better than i would have i dont have that when it comes to shooting on score i dont have that right even though its crazy is there a moment that stands out to you in terms of just like a shot?

I mean, I know there's a ton, but like specific moments of what I don't get how this guy does what he does, so the first time we saw the peak of that, like when he was in Denver and we played him on a show, can do it? the playoffs at the pepsi center and we're on after that still looking got it oh they're on that elevator play that left open rope sprints we saw in practice the other day ain't it curry curry split double and a soft touch for the bucket let's go curry for three curry got the game three tie steph curry knocks him down and d um fired a shot in front of the dugout and the whole team is good in front of our dugout the whole team is freaking out like near him and he drops the ball and turns around and tells her to shut up the ball like it's airborne it's like it's not even near the rim 12 point warriors lead at halftime jack gives landry curry a fake slip and the whole team got like this it's the opposing team it was like i never seen that before during the game at the time but i'm a competitor i'm on the court like it's whatever i don't care that doesn't impress me It's just my nature competitive game, but in practice someday uh, you know it's fun because in practice, we've got Carlos, the bums, the scrubs, so second unit we'll always beat them good, so most of the time we got what best of them. like you know he was in and out of himself it was alright i'll score a bunch now or yo you know im chilling right now or a mod drake you know guys playing so many minutes you know they were just trying to get a good run two minute three minute races but we wanted to say we won most of the time but this One day in practice Steph freaked out like she didn't miss and it was like now we're blaming the the the the um the sub the substitute referee, so we will call the alternate representatives who come to help us, right? cursing him because he can't miss and then if he missed the call foul and I mean one time I got mad and forgot he was on my team and pushed him he still made the shot I mean we played about seven minutes man he had to have like 25 points man it was crazy and at one point sean liverson just stopped it was like I don't know if I've ever seen anything like this and I had to stop and it was like me that was that's different because when you're in the game playing with someone as good as you're not really seeing how good it is because you locked yourself in do whatever you have to do to make yourself miss out on greatness playing with greatness that's what's funny because when i saw steph last season i caught myself being a fan several times why do you think your name does not appear? in conversations it's like you know some of the best you know based on what you did in the league because you were losing 50 60 like curry they've been doing but no one really thinks about it do you think it's because they didn't see or you were in a market where people didn't see you or you felt like your career was cut short due to injury, the interrupted part, but I think success, winning comes with you, you know, so you got, you were putting up the numbers , but you.
I wasn't winning I wasn't winning so it was still this yeah okay yeah it has a lot of numbers but there aren't so what ends up happening is I said I opened up the market for curry the names to the Westbrook style of it. the point guard is a dominant scorer but t curry established it because he won, he won being a scoring point guard first and the fact that he won it fit well this is not just a hybrid player he is a point guard and let's compare the numbers of this point guard past numbers , so now you know somebody likes Steph, her numbers trump the scoring categories and all these categories over all these point guards that weren't scoring and were just trying to get the team involved so I saw something today that said uh, curry is the king of um change and i agree though im the guy who started the change shot walk away from the king by one ok ok like shoot and just walk away he was the one who shot he turned back before you know it. but i did it a couple times like yeah yeah i started it he overpowered it so he's the king he just runs off the floor yeah he's the king like yeah i gave him the idea but he took it to another level. level so i can't claim something i guess yes you can you did it first i did it first but he did it better he did it much better and in a different ending at different times like i did in game winners he hasn't done in game winners did it has done it all game ok curry that's a challenge right there they ain't even going to challenge you yeah yeah because you have to do it in a game winning thing is to do it over the course of the game in Florida, but to do it on a game winner who is a brother who is on another level but has done it a hundred times I understand a game winner who is on another level the fact that they were hitting the people were sitting in the third quarters he never really got chances i argued for him in the one where you know he was hitting everyone so he really had to get it right but i think that's why i get lost in the shuffle because when I was not doing it there was no real reference kirby gets head because he's a champion he's an mvp so because of the status he came with him that's where but he opens it up for trey young and everyone else too i have a close friend you know , evan turner is like my man and when we played them in the western conference finals evan was like brother i almost clapped when he made a shot like i forgot i was playing him he was like a man i never seen nothing like that, he was there because they were 18 above. game like no one no one is going to mention they were up 18 every game and he was like we know like steph or clay take a shot and they said ohhere he comes and they just kept looking at the scoreboard like and said steph did two threesomes one time he was like damn good but he was like master catch myself like oh I'm on I'm on the other team that sounds like that sounds like the most evan thing turner never btw exactly how would you describe yourself and lebron because it's obvious that when you're playing there's a rivalry?
He's on the road for me to get another trophy and I've been on the road for the last three years and you fight beyond that. we're two totally different people and a lot of different things happen at different times in our careers and things like that, so I don't go any further than the last three years I've tried to win a championship and he's been the other way, well, I mean we don't talk about it at all, but we do respect each other's game, how we approach the game, how they're off the court, um, you know, I think it's great, I've had a chance to talk. to him a couple of times on court in the past you're going to give my base three hesis you're going to go here here and then here again i'm like damn like three headed get my base three headed though for the airport bad boy how under uh drafted he was and uh you know so i led a davidson squad like that in the tournament and i actually got to see him three or four times in college i drove all the way to detroit to see him in the tournament he was in charlotte playing the hornets, what was the bob bobcats at the time i think and i got a chance to see him there and i thought he was special stephen curry fits puts 56 on the board and impresses everyone but more that man right there lebron james i thought he was a special kid in the that I'm very good I noticed the talent and I thought it was special then and you know obviously it is now you still know that a lot of people don't understand how good his motor is he never stops moving his ball managing his ability to throw the ball out of bounds dribble and catch the ball, you know it's amazing, I don't think there's ever been a guy in our league capable of shooting the ball as well as he can dribbling or catching the ball and you know he just it creates so many different games- it creates problems for your defense and you always have to be aware of them you know it's always been a respect a level of respect that goes even beyond the game of basketball the way i feel for steph everyone the account this year everyone says that well now that you know Clay is hurt can Steph lead a team um alone what can she do?
Can he lead a team by himself? Can you take a team to the postseason? Can you keep a team afloat? plus we all get into a record sometimes we get caught up in who has the best record and you know instead of saying who had the best season that year huh and Steph has in my opinion had the best season all year, Where do you think Steph stands in all of this? Where do you think he is his? Because people were questioning the legacy of him at the top of the season. Maybe he had to disapprove of his legacy.
So where would you say you are? someone who is with him close to him so t where you could see him in the pantheon. I don't know if there's ever been someone in history who calmed down the doubters on All-Star weekend, but just like you, you felt his presence there as if you knew Steph was there and he was there. an important way for you to know that i enjoyed it because you know he shut up and he had been talking he had been saying his part and i love that right with his game also i feel that um exactly i saw a quote that said uh i have nothing to prove that i There's a lot left to accomplish but nothing to prove how we go man take a step let me take a step that's what he's saying right now and I love that how to embody that where I see him on the right now is a

ly different place than what I i've never seen you know it's like he knows he knows it's cool you know how the statement said i have nothing to prove that's how it looks every day like i have nothing to prove i'm gonna keep showing y'all that I'm the goat you know I'm the b Better to do this sometime but I ain't got nothing to prove to you guys and stuff and that's what he shows me every day and you know when you talk about legacy everyone questions the beginning of us, people still question Lebron. james legacy i mean yeah if you're still questioning the lebron james legacy ok you're looking for something to talk about you're looking you know you're trying to get the click bait and if you're still questioning lebron james lex it's the same with steph yeah you still want to question steph's legacy people who question steph's legacy don't have a legacy of their own i honestly believe there are great shooters in the nba steph may be the best shooter we've ever seen and this has all been great i know that maybe definitely yes, so talk about it, you think steph is the best shooter, the best shooter we've ever seen, hands down, why do you feel so strongly about it?
I agree with you I just love you because the shots he takes are by far some of the hardest shots I've ever seen wow let alone cross let alone cross exactly behind the back just let him turn around, run the other way and this is nothing more. It has to be said when I let this go don't go for the rebound and that's right and that's extreme I mean not only is it extreme confidence but he's a talented man that's a talent to have his father obviously could be said to be one of the best. 15 20 depending on what you're going through as shooters, but for him to take all those dribble shots shooting from half court that the shot he took against Oklahoma City two years ago, crazy, there's always that debate about if you hate losing more than you love winning well and i feel like for me losing is the worst feeling in life in anything be it cars golf basketball whatever i hate losing i mean its not even a question but i mean i have to respect losing because losing is a part of winning yeah yeah you never just know how to win you have to lose to win it means both to us and to them absolutely and if that's the case then losing is going to hurt absolutely you know to a point where i would see how can i do things differently how can i change how can i improve this team and that's the thing about a team and you know this is also before you can look at someone else you have to look at yourself in the mirror because this is how things start and you have to be willing to change and you have to have a sense of pride in yourself it's not about the money it's not about anything else it's about pride and you know the best players dores whoever is playing better is going to win before we go do you have a favorite player in the nba today who you like to watch the most a player you know I like to watch the most is lebron james there you go but also kerry from golden state It's impossible I mean someone shoots like him haha I've never seen anything like this in my life look now you know how people feel about you.
I mean, no, it's unbelievable, it's unbelievable when you look at it, yeah, that's something special. he just moves it up I mean he's like and no but of course you know he doesn't know lucky rebounds or anything like that I mean he's amazing I enjoy everything about it he's a very selfless player and he and he gives them to all his teammates. he also gets a lot of assists and everything else, I mean it's just you know he's a freak of nature, I mean I've never seen that, I don't think you'll ever see someone shoot like that again in all my travels.
I was like man, how did it feel in 94 for me those 25 points in the fourth quarter versus you know being in the zone? what is it like to be in your area? kind of way but it's one of the best feelings because I don't think much it's just looking for a little bit of daylight if the shot doesn't block it's coming in and it's such a continuous flow from the time I plant to the time I that loose and there's no thought in that move and that's such a liberating feeling to be in that zone is that it could be demoralizing for the opponent for whoever is protecting you what are some of the things that your opponents have said when you're in that stephen curry area at the moment there's not much because neither am I.
I'm doing a stupid dance on the way back and I'm out of earshot. A big part of that is that you'll get the ones and the layup lines. like the dumb foundation like the stairs have nothing to say those are the moments you live for that's almost unfair he's not human well i think the beautiful thing about steph curry right now is he's the best prospect when it comes to shoot good i i think maybe for a second or I think anyone would think for a second they're having a pretty good shooting season I'm doing this or that and then you see the stats this guy is putting up consistently and it's just that it's from another world, it's that I think in the last five games he has averaged more than nine 3-pointers per game, yes, I had a stretch last year where I think in three games I made 24 or 25 3-pointers and I legitimately felt that everything i threw up was going in i felt like i was throwing the ball into the atlantic ocean like i would never miss and this guy has done it 10 times i mean he has done nine a game for five games in a row its just u once in my career i've hit 10 3 pointers i think i struggled for the last five games he's done it it's like it's disgusting it's an absolute joke i think it's you look at his numbers and i think at this point he made it through his unanimous mvp season i don't care it's unbelievable what he's done it needs to be me n this mvp conversation um because when you see him play basketball he's one of the few players in the nba when you see him play where it's very clear no one more in the nba he can do what he's doing steph is he i've never seen anyone like him i told him last night i told him when you've played hard like i've never seen a player like you before he played hard tonight and the things you hear about steph as far as sacrificing and being selfless and caring about his teammates caring about other people is real not fake not a front he doesn't put the mask on with his suit every day to come here and pretend in front of you ed he really is like that and it's amazing to see a superstar who is sacrificing who doesn't care about anything but the group and obviously wants to play well obviously wants to show who he is because he's competitive but it's all about the group so when i ask them like you want to solve some guys want so you know keep it for them s but he says no let's work a bit on the whole segment it's just to marvel at steph curry you tried to protect this man i can't imagine why you coming to me so why wasn't shaq coming out and covering for steph so i just want to know it couldn't have been fun it had to be horrible no no um scary you're a little scared and not because you're scared of a guy just because you don't know what it's what he's going to do when a guy is up and obviously has amazing drive but when a guy can shoot from anywhere on the court when he shoots from the left and he shoots to the right and then we pick the ball up he's even more lethal with his slashes with his screen with his ability to get off screens i mean he's just impossible to guard so i've seen this guy i seen him shoot shots candice i'm like no no that's not a good shot and it's like but for steph that's a perfect shot and what I love about steph is obviously all the highlights that we see of him going down shooting, you know, shooting at these 50 feet but what What I love about him is his ability to give up the ball, his ability to play off the ball, his ability to pass the ball with both hands and also his ability to come in there and like us. he talked about how he's a great spiker people don't give him credit because we see the half court shots he takes but he's a great spiker with both hands he makes contact well so I want to say this guy is the great phenomenal player of this guy in the organization another Great player, he comes, that dwarfs your greatness and Steph took a back seat similar to what I did and we forgot about Steph Curry when Kevin Durant was there and he got hurt last year and now he says hello yeah , two. -time evp is back and he's back with you he knows a level we've never seen from a mvp twice he may not get mvp this year but it's definitely for him probably one of his favorite seasons of his entire career when all is said and done in the days i played this game i've never seen a guy other than maybe a reggie miller where you just didn't want him to touch the ball but steph has the defense so spread out 35 feet away from the basket, the threat and the pressure it puts on your defense night after night at no point in history have we seen a guy be able to spread out the team's defense like this guy, I mean a guy who's 6-4 the pressure he put on a team defense night after night and it's unbelievable that they're going back to the finals again, that's unheard of and how you defend that and that's what really impressed me the most is how he was able to get to the vanguard finals in this series and kevin durant not e be there and all attention was directed to thestealth reminds me where the warriors were Four years ago what Steph can do is I don't like that point he can shoot from far away but at the same time what Steph and I have in common is we weren't the ones we were beating the weirdo athletes, okay? we were beating the giants and i have a lot of respect for him so now my the only thing i was telling you i'll tell you here today's game favors guards and small game the era i won the rules were aimed at the bigger players they changed the rules so the little guy can dominate ok the rules weren't set for me as a little person to dominate and that's the difference but do you see steph curry you can tell after four or five? years that he's the best shooter we've ever seen I don't know if Chris Mullen was pretty good and how about the price of the brand yeah I mean you know there's I mean I always thought he would be a deep shooter the curry it's one of the best is it's not unlike any gym you walk into when you walk in there all the ki ds are shooting 3 pointers if there's a 3 point line the kids are going to be out there but i know the respect mark has for steph and he has as much as me and had the honor of coaching him steph curry is a great basketball player can you imagine the amount of time he has invested on the gym floor honing his skills and playing the way steph curry plays is probably right now our best player and what champion right now from what I've seen? it's easy for me to say he's the best I've ever seen shoot.
I've seen great shooters, but you know we have this conversation all the time about generations, uh, what we've seen, you know who's the best in their particular position or their ability, you know, you know as well as I do every year, the generation when they change the game changes so I really put it in the category on its own because the way it plays the game. He knows how to be a point guard who can handle the way he handles the ball and the way he can throw the ball and the way he throws it and I think right now people are watching Steph play and these little kids are now growing up and he's setting the bar for those little kids at point guard, what fun is that now that the game is over, think about the matchup you have with steph curry, man, he can shoot that ball right, man, I felt like I was as close as you could get to him but a lot of credit to steph man he he plays hard he plays the right way but that's a good team win for us. i'm happy we got up for this game we even looked at steph's three point contest i mean she missed the first four four or five shots and it was like nothing and you know connie was like 28 or seven she just went on and i got to two uh three points like the green balls I had this year and then I did all of his uh two point balls and then like he just and took the last shot to win it was like I don't know what he missed makes it easy makes it seem so easy I mean honestly as a fan of the game it's I like to see you enjoy watching them throw the ball like that and it's very special I mean that's why these guys are so great how do you do that?
One thing you practice is your hips are your core whatever and he just broke it down for me he did his exercises like he does but more importantly he says at the end of every workout he actually practices those shots when he's most tired to make him feel like when he's in a game and he's new you know he can take those shots but to do what he does with those two guys is just ridiculous but even the shot he took against okc i mean who takes that in the playoffs here, it's like winning this series and you like it that way. confidently take it to me i mean confident i think it has to have a great par t on it too but i mean it was one of the most amazing shots i have ever seen when i saw it i just stood there and stared at the tv and it was as expected what happened like this is how this is not normal this doesn't happen like this in a lot of ways steph is our franchise you know i think when people think of warriors they think of steph we got four stars and we are tremendous talent and great players um amazing PR guy and raymond ritter but what people really think is steph curry you know that's the first thought and I think it also embodies who we are in terms of playing style and the joy with which our players play the game and um and everyone plugs into the stuff fans kids when I was in Phoenix as a GM we were desperate to draft Steph and one of our front office thoughts was: you know? all the little kids in the valley in phoenix are wearing steve nash jerseys but we need we need the next player you know who that player might be the kids are going to buy the jerseys and uh i kept imagining these steph curry sons jerseys and all uh scottsdale and phoenix and uh you just had something about him coming out of college that you knew like you knew nobody knew he was going to be an MVP but you could tell people would connect with them because he looks like you or me Or do you know that he is a normal guy. and yet he has this electric ability and amazing personality so put all those things together and he is the fate of the franchise and i hope you guys enjoyed the video feel free to hit the like button really support the channel, be sure to subscribe if you enjoy the video for more episodes like this and comment below which player you'd like to see next without further ado here are two videos you won't want to miss and i'll see you on the next one one peace and UNED
