's pie this is what you're going to need to do you're going to need to get a skillet and put it on high heat and the skillet is the only thing we're going to be doing adding two pounds of ground beef we are going to give it a little scramble and while it cooks what we are going to do is chop a small onion into very small pieces like those right there once our ground beef has browned we are going to add the chopped onions to the ground beef and look at all that juice the ground beef produces its own juice and oil so we don't need to add anything to the pan other than ground beef so we're going to add the onions and we're going to add a big teaspoon of minced garlic now, if you don't have minced garlic you can use garlic powder, but fresh minced garlic gives it more flavor. you can actually flavor the garlic a little more when you add the minced garlic instead of adding garli c powder and make sure you add a little bit of that juice to a little bit of that garlic juice up there we're going to add a beef flavor cubed Boyan just to enhance the beef flavor now the beef flavor bullion cube has some sodium in it so we're not going to add a lot of salt because you're going to get some salt from the Boyan cube flavored meat so a teaspoon of salt you feel like you need more salt later you can add more we're going to add a teaspoon of black pepper.

I'm going to add too much pepper because we're going to add the paprika and we don't want it to be too hot, but if you like yours, like that spicy, then you can add a lot of pepper but a teaspoon of pepper a teaspoon of paprika that's going to give it color and flavor we're going to add like a half teaspoon of thyme leaves you can use fresh thyme if you have some and we're going to add sauce w 2 teaspoons of sauce w and we're going to add ketchup just to balance out all the flavors and we're going to add three to four tablespoons of ketchup I'm going to give it a good stir in all these seasonings and the seasonings are going to result in some very, very good, flavorful beef for your shepherd's pie look we're going to let it fry a little bit ok mmm it looks so good you are going to combine three large tablespoons of flour with two cups of water this is going to be our thickening agent we are going to create our water flour slurry and this is what is going to to thicken up our juice that's inside the meat and turn it into a sauce so here's our ground beef.
