The BEST 2020 Corvette C8 Configuration! (MUST HAVE OPTIONS)

Feb 27, 2020
With the ability to configure and customize so much on the upcoming

2020

Corvette, many people, including myself, are having trouble determining what exact specs to order. Hello everyone, welcome back to the daily downshift. I'm your host, Nestor, and today we'll be going over some of my favorite specs for the Corvette CA and talking about why I think these are objectively the

best

specs you can get. Of course, this is just an opinion piece, but I think this theory of mine will actually hold up in the future. we get into the exact builds. I do want to mention that if you're thinking about possibly upgrading to a 0-6 or zr1 version of the c8 then downplaying the

options

for the Stingray is really your

best

bet, but if you're going to stay in the car for more than five years then it's Well just load this car to the brim with

options

and features.

If that sounds familiar, a lot of this information may simply not apply to you at all, but if you're more like me and enjoy driving a wide range of cars and perhaps plan to upgrade in the near future and this guide is really ideal for you, first of all, I

must

mention that the reason we are trying to acquire the car as close as possible to the sticker, apart from the obvious savings, is the lower depreciation that the car will face in the first few years, little after the purchase, precisely when someone looking to upgrade to an 0-6 may decide to sell the vehicle, this is important because it means that not only will you spend less money to purchase a Corvette CA, but you will also lose much less money based on the vehicle depreciation.

More Interesting Facts About,

the best 2020 corvette c8 configuration must have options...

It is widely known that, for the most part, cars closer to MSRP lose less depreciation compared to a fully loaded equivalent. This effect in my opinion will be greatly magnified due to extremely high demand, while the supply of the vehicle remains the same as in previous years and generations. For example, Canada is only getting 2,000 Corvette seats for the

2020

model year, while there are easily more than 5,000 warehouses. at Chevrolet dealerships across the country, from what I hear from several dealers, this means that buying a Corvette CA as close to base as possible and selling it, a year or two later, for only a few percent lower, is a real possibility.

That's usually a very rare thing in the car industry as their values tend to sink like rocks, so with that out of the way, let's jump into the configurator and show you everything that I think is important and what, for Of course, they can be omitted completely. Don't look at my color preferences, since you can choose what you want. We will mainly focus on getting the best features that offer good value for the vehicle, first the performance exhaust, which will only work on 1195. This is a very small price to pay for an exhaust that sounds much better than the stock version and features an option to open and close the valves, in addition to the raw exhaust sound, you also get a small increase in performance, specifically five additional horsepower and a slightly faster zero to 60 time, this brings the power to a total of 495 and it's very close to that magic number of 500 and it also takes you from three seconds to 2.9 in terms of zero to sixty time, these are incredible numbers and all of this for only $59.99 five plus an exhaust that It basically costs twelve hundred dollars.

This option here is really a no brainer and I think everyone should get it now, of course this comes standard in the z51 package but it costs five grand. dollars and I think overall that package will only be worth it if you're going to track the car more than once in a blue moon. I made a video that specifically talks about whether or not this specific package is worth it, so yes I would like to watch that video right now. You can do this by clicking in the upper right corner of the screen. So far we

have

the base vehicle and the performance exhaust.
It sounds great and has the performance to match the sound but what about the appearance of the vehicle if you are someone who loves the look of the car without any spoiler then you don't really need to add one because it looks great without it but If you're looking for something a little meaner a little more aggressive and modified then the high wing spoiler is your new best friend. Personally, I'm a big fan of how the spoiler looks and I think it suits the car perfectly, we

have

n't seen one in the wild. still, but if they are anything like the configurator, then in my opinion they are worth the 1150, so now we have the sound, performance and, for the most part, the look of an exotic car, bringing it as close as possible to An exotic car is my personal goal with this setup.
There's only one thing missing and, in my opinion, it's the tires. I don't really like the stock rims or the carbon flash version, but they look just as bad in my opinion. The best option we have here is the Black Trident Spoke Wheels which look absolutely fantastic, they cost 2695 but for premium rims that cost is honestly pretty normal and almost average, this is great because you can use the standard rims for track use or during the winter if you live in a colder place. city in snow and then putting on the proven black spokes during the summer and spring, which is really awesome and gives you a little flexibility with the vehicle now that we have the base vehicle, the performance exhaust, a high wing spoiler if you're into that kind of thing and the upgraded wheels, in my opinion all we're really looking at now is just the color of the vehicle, the color of the seat, the color of the seat belt and last but not least , the color of the caliper and all that is really up to you, but what I definitely wouldn't recommend is getting the 2lt or 3 LT package, they come with a ton of awesome features.
Yes there is no doubt that the 2lt is great and has tons of technology inside the vehicle and of course they can do it. getting the front lift system has an added bonus if you get the T tool package of course which is optional so it has a lot of features and a lot of technology but my goodness it definitely really increases the price of the vehicle on my opinion, I don't think it's worth it simply because you're really elevating the car to another level. If you get that package, it starts to approach the 70s and 80s once you start piling on too many options and trim levels, which is why I would personally drive. sure, but again, if you're someone who's going to drive this car for more than five years and really take care of it and you know you won't be upgrading it anytime soon, then go all out for the fully loaded version, but here's the caveat.
What I would say is that if you are looking to get a higher trim level, then going for the 3 LT package makes the most sense. The 2lt package is about $7,500 as an upgrade from the 1 LT package, but the 3 LT package from the - LT package is only an increase of about three thousand nine hundred dollars in my opinion, the value really lies in getting 3 LT. If I personally bought a vehicle it would be 1 LT or 3 LT and nothing in between. I would go out of my way to make the car luxurious and have tons of features or I wouldn't even bother and stick close to the sticker price.
The 3 LT package has all the really cool technology that the LT package has and at the same time has an upgraded interior if you only look at a few. From the photos online, this 3lt interior really looks like something out of a Ferrari. I'm not even joking. I'm a big fan of European exotic cars and this interior is one of the best I've ever seen. So if you're going to spend the extra money on a higher trim level, I would definitely recommend the 3LT because it seems like a bargain compared to the price increase on the 2LT package.
Again, you get all the great stuff out there. in 2lt but of course the quality leather interior looks very luxurious and is something I really didn't expect from Corvette.
