changed the course of women's history in the united states early in her career through her dedication to women's rights she was too much of a spy her arrest for voting in The 1872 presidential election and eventual trial paved the way for women's political rights. What I think she brought to the women's movement was tremendous faith. Susan B. Anthony was born in 1820 in Adams Massachusetts. She came from a close-knit Quaker family that believed in education. In the Quaker meetinghouse, men and women spoke equally, so Susan B Anthony thought that esteem was everywhere, the reality was that most women were uneducated, could not own property, had few rights legal and were subordinate to men and

For both sexes, Anthony met Elizabeth Cady Stem, the architect of the first women's rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York, and the duo came together and were responsible for all the rights we have as women today. Stanton had that suit, intellectual vision, he had a way with words and Anthony had from the beginning the vision of what it meant to build a movement. It was in 1872 that Anthony caused a national sensation when she voted illegally in a presidential election. Her trial had an all-male jury and Anthony was not allowed to speak on her behalf. defense the trial was rigged her vote did not count but got great publicity value Anthony was fined $100 which she never paid, however she continued to spread the rights of women in the US and Europe appeared in front of everyone Congress since 1869 Until 1906, the year she died, women were finally given the right to vote in 1920, sixteen years after Susan B.
