, there are all types. There is a huge variety of eye protection and it's usually a bit tempting to buy something cheap because it's not that exciting to get it. It's protective and much more exciting to buy a magazine for a gun or something, so you have to make that decision, how cheap can it be?

Is everything equal or is some of it really not up to the task? So today is about trying this out. We have a full range of eye protection, nothing stupidly expensive, the most expensive pair we have here. of these, which weigh 25 pounds, about 30 dollars, nothing stupid, ridiculous, but we also have some really cheap stuff, like this crap. Here you are recognized, these things were used correctly to rent them like 10 years ago, I don't see it. Hey, I have this. eBay thing, I was intentionally looking for a cheap mask because if you're coming in like I was when I was 16 on a budget where you can barely afford anything, even game day is expensive so you look for something cheap and you come. I came across this on eBay and you think it's an

mask, no one looks and thinks it's anything else. I mean, it wasn't marketed as mask nests, it was often marketed as a survival game, but I don't imagine that's anything. Otherwise I can't imagine anyone looking at this and thinking of anything other than an airsoft mask and nowhere did it say it wasn't for airsoft so I'm a little terrified that these things exist and I hope you guys can join.

I put pressure on the players if you see them using these things and also the retailers that sell them, but we also had to go a step further, now obviously there's not much else you can do but shoot through it. with us Knight, but what we couldn't do because I ordered something especially for this test is put some ballistic gel behind it, you guys are familiar with these myth-busting things and all that kind of stuff, so we put it behind it and it's possible I think a ball wouldn't even penetrate the ballistic gel. Well, you may remember that ballistic gel is designed to represent flesh, not skin, so it's a little softer than just shooting someone's arm would be, a little more like maybe your eye, so here we are.

Wow, here's a quick test before you do anything else that's just shooting the ballistic gel with nothing in the way because it's a good comparison for what's about to happen and this is what happens when you put those goggles in front of you. Now, obviously, this is it. At worst these are the cheapest glasses against the highest SPF you can legally wear in the UK so in theory it can't be worse than this but accidents happen so this scenario could come up and it's terrifying, as I'm sure you can. I agree and like I said, we really need to stop people from using these things, even if it's because you're on a really low budget or even if it's an emergency, your main lenses break or you lose them, you know what they are.

I have these lying around, I'll just put one of those on, don't do it, so having started at the cheapest tier with probably the worst mask we could have found, this is a very extreme example of course, let's move up to something much less extreme so the first step that many people will go into is with a pair of polycarbonate glasses like these you can get as scientifically based safety glasses or these ones that are a little more airsoft II although they come with some intrinsic disadvantages because, for of course, this whole area underneath, here, this whole area and here, let's go over, it doesn't adequately cover your face, so I honestly wouldn't recommend them just from that angle, but let's also see how they hold up to the same thing. kind of tests, yes, oh the crack, we better have some sumac, oh yes, yes, there are, as you can see, they are actually doing quite well now with the spaces around the side.

I still wouldn't recommend them. I'm trying to find one. different style or maybe weight or some of the other glasses we tried but they hold up to punishment, pistol shots literally leave a bit of BB residue that wipes off and the sniper wallet eventually breaks them, it's the kind of scenario where We're putting it through extreme

and they still protect your eyes, you really want to replace them at that point and you wouldn't because there's a big crack in your vision, so I think they've done it pretty well. So another option when you're at that point, because a lot of people have problems with these polycarbonate lenses and them sticking out, especially when you're choosing glasses styles, etc., it's a hot day or a sweaty person.

Certainly, I'm full of steam. most of the time so another option is to go for the same price mesh material these have the benefit of really surrounding your eyes but there are some questions with these things there are a few things we are going to need to test not only do we need do the same tests as before, we can break them, but we must also test the fact that they are ramesh, these are the only ones, apart from the totally useless saying that could potentially let things through. It is often said that balls break and can go through this mesh so let's find out if that is really true and finally I also have a pair of these, they are a little bit older because the other thing with this mesh of course is metal , so it deteriorates in a way that plastic simply does not.

Plastic deteriorates sometimes in ultraviolet circumstances, so it deteriorates with light metal tenders from Syria with humidity like sweat coming off your face, salty sweat, you know, really bad. for corrosion, so we also have an old set that we can see what happens if you leave them a little longer. Oh that's right, with the sniper, the second shot actually breaks the metal, that's the first shot to open the metal and then from there, you see, the third shot just went straight through, it didn't really slow down. a lot and these are proper airsoft goggles, they are not like that, they are members of your guard or neutral, obviously they are a year old or They are very old, but now they are real airsoft goggles.

As we continue shooting we pick up a new spot and move it around to see if anything changes when we shoot at another spot and the six shots at this one clearly shattered into a bunch of pieces. We're going to want to turn around, have a little bit next to it and see if any of that comes through from what's happening behind it, but before we do that we have to keep shooting and finally somehow we manage to take this whole lens, right? where are they? Look at them, this thing he just shoved in there is a completely ruined pair of glasses, so let's reset things, go somewhere and see what's going on behind those glasses because it turned out to be super interesting but also a lot scarier.

What I expected now might be that these glasses are a little weaker than a standard set. They're old. We intentionally wanted to test a game that someone had used. You know, these are glasses that people have been using. We have been using these. things and see if a couple of years of use would make much difference or not. Now, in the side shots, you can see the volume of pain, the volume of rust, and the little bits of BB that come out are a little scary and the mess that is there. on that table behind everything, it's a little scary too, a lot of that may well be due to the fact that these are the oldest and just remember to inspect them because these didn't go away from that weakness until we started photographing them and just the paint It started to peel off the top and revealed this rust underneath, but beyond that there are clearly chunks of BB coming through again.

It is an extreme scenario. I have to keep saying this because I know people are. I'm going to say yes, but you are shooting at close range with the sniper rifle, of course that will happen, but it also happens with the pistol and wallet will definitely be an unusual scenario. I still don't feel that comfortable recommending that type of glasses. So that means we should move on to maybe some of the ones you might recommend. In this case we were

I'm not sure they are already so let's start with the Ballet ones here, unfortunately they are no longer available but as you can see from what's going on I don't mind getting BB gun marks shot off either, just clean it up. the sniper leaves little indentations in the lens, but it doesn't do much and it all makes a really interesting noise. I think what is happening is that the lenses are flexing inward slightly because they have interchangeable lenses, which I would do. I normally don't recommend it, but on something this big it has such a good connection point on the side that they don't go anywhere and it seems to be absorbing some of that impact, so these goons did very well, but unfortunately they can't be cheat those things.

I can't recommend them anymore at the end of the video, so let's move on to Sparky. These are SB twelve. These are current British military issues, so they are really cheap and easy to get, like I said in stop 25. Pounds 30 dollars and not only that, but I don't think they look that bad, they don't have any of those other defects of be a little difficult on the side and not have the right type of protection and with these and with these bodies. They don't vaporize or at least I haven't been able to get them to vaporize and you know you know me a little better oh that's a pretty high recommendation if average is enough anyway let's see what happens when we try those.

The interesting thing with these was that the polycarbonate on the lens is actually very hard and that means that when it comes to the gun, they were just bouncing straight off, they weren't even leaving a residue, they were just pinging, but when the sniper came with that force additional behind, it actually did more damage than we had on the bodies that broke the mark.
