Soft Skills Explained! - Ultimate Escape From Tarkov Beginners Guide!

Feb 23, 2020
What's up guys? I just finished the exam. Welcome back to another Escape from Tarkov video. In this video we'll do a sort of overview of social

skills

in Escape from Tarkov. This definitely won't be a very deep dive. about each skill and how to level them up and how to max them out, there are some really amazing

guide

s that go into depth on

skills

and then particular skills, but I wanted to create something for people who are relatively new to this. the game that asks if you should even care about social skills, what are they and how do they impact your character while playing?

Extreme Escape from Tarkov on Twitch a few days a week. All my links will be below. I'd love to. So stop by if you have any questions, I'd love to be there to answer them, but with all that out of the way, let's go ahead and dive in, so here, from the character screen at the top, you'll see a skills tab. right here, if you click on that, you will get all the social skills and you will

escape

from Tarkov. Now, this is a good place to talk about how this system and the social skills right now are definitely not in their final state, so there are a lot of tweaks that left me done with this system, it's not a super accurate representation of the full and comprehensive view of what the BSG developers want to do with a

soft

scaling system, that's partly another reason why I don't want to go too deep. how they level up and all that kind of stuff because it can be subject to change and it's changed a lot even since I've been playing, but I think it's an important topic because it represents, you know, a really interesting aspect of the game, but I just wanted to make a note that it's not finished yet, even if you scroll down here you'll see a bunch of skills that are just locked and if you hover over the gloves it says it's not available in the beta, but the social skills for me are really It's exciting even though you know a lot of themes to change because it represents many of the RPG elements that will come in Escape from Tarkov and that already exist in Escape from Tarkov, so these are all similar skills to other RPGs that you level up . over time and they have small impacts on your character and as you level up more and more they give you more and more benefits for your character and this is really cool because this not only simulates the real life mechanics of the more you do something the better you do, so look at something like the DMR skill, you know what I mean, using a designated marksman rifle, the more you use that skill, in this case you will get a faster reload speed, a faster change speed weapon and a reduction.

More Interesting Facts About,

The recoil of the weapon is a small amount, but the more you use those types of weapons, the better you will get at them now. Soft skills are maxed out at level 51 and when you get a

soft

skill up to level 51, you unlock an elite perk. So for example, the search ability when you unlock that elite perk is that you can search for two different things at once, so let's say you kill a pawn and you go to loot his body. You can search for his backpack and chest rig at the same time. What can be incredibly useful as you try to loot the other excellent is that if you maximize your attention, you can have a fifty percent chance of instantly searching for whatever is in that bag or container, or instantly searching everything for these elite benefits.

They can be very useful, there are even some related to combat. One of the skills, when you level up, is unlocked as a crazy mode that basically gives you just a few seconds of painkiller when you're initially shot, which can be incredibly useful. where if you get shot in the leg and your leg turns black, you have only a few seconds to reach the hardcover before you start limping. Things like that, some of the skills are definitely broader, you know, skills like strength and stamina. They're not the ones where you'll have to use a specific weapon or something specific, you know, stamina, just that the more you run, the more you level up, but it has a pretty intense effect on your character, you know, even just that level sixteen here I have 32% more resistance than a level one character, so that can really affect your character, each skill is leveled differently obviously depending on what skill it is, but this gets into what we were talking about , where the way these skills are leveled and how quickly they level is subject to a lot of change.

Strength is something that has changed a lot. It has a pretty big effect on your character, allowing you to jump higher, run faster, hit harder, throw farther, and carry more weight. and there were times in the past where, as you know, during a cleanse everyone had 51 strength and stamina and people ran like Superman and then there were other cleanses where at the end of a period Y of five, six or seven months people had level 6 and 7, so they are modified a lot to try to balance them. I think the soft skills will really develop as some of the core mechanics of the game are incorporated and balanced, so I wouldn't say this is like their top priority, but as they balance these things, they'll start to sink into theirs. , they will start to unlock more and have a greater effect on your character now another way they really affect your gameplay is if you do the missions there are some skills that are required to complete certain missions and those are sniper health , stress resistance, memory quest and charisma, so those skills have certain quests attached to them, some of those skills are relatively easy and will be written.
It can happen passively like memory. I don't remember ever liking to work on the memory skill. By the time that quest comes around, you'll most likely have that skill leveled up, but there are others that definitely require you to focus on. sniper in particular, there are three different missions as you play that require you to reach a certain level of sniper skill and if you want to complete those missions you will have to use bolt action sniper rifles specifically and you are going to have to use them a lot. I discovered that I loved it because he taught me how to shoot and

tarkov

.
The more I played, the more I got used to the weapons and some of these missions actually forced you to use them. weapons more often and learn them, but I say that to say that if you're forced to, say the lid bin where you want to complete all the missions in the game, there are definitely a few you'll want to keep an eye on. so I'll link the wiki below. The wiki will be the absolute best place if you're looking to find out what you need for a specific skill, how to level it, the best ways to level it, and all that kind of stuff.
Those things get updated so frequently between cleans when things change and stuff like that. Another thing that affects skills is that you can go to the hideout here, so once you start upgrading your hideout more and more, you'll find that you can use the hideout to level skills faster, so two things in particular: the library, once you upgrade it will give you a 30% increase in your practical skills and the air filtration unit, when you have an FP 100 filter here, will give you a 40% increase. To level up your physical skills now, if we go back to the skills section, you can see how the physical skills are broken down: your strength and stamina, health, metabolism, stress resistance, many of which you need quests and many which They have a big impact on your play style, you can switch to the combat ones, the practical skills and you know some of them don't have anything right now, like I don't think there is anything in the winter special game, but the hide and seek that you can use.
I mean, even just the knees here, especially the air filtration unit, now this is definitely like a later edition of Hideout, but if you can get here and afford to upgrade it by plugging in some of these if you're going to be gaming for a long day. or on a long weekend, you're increasing those skills, strength, stamina, health, 40% faster, so even if you've done all the quests and are just trying to max/minimize your character or get to a really good place, that will be a great way to do it for hiding and then there are even one or two hiding things to upgrade that require a certain level of soft skill like I think Vince or something you need like our security, you need level 4 strength at the time it will most likely change, but you should know that not only the quests affect it, but the hiding place affects it in the sense that some things need certain social skills and in the effect that by improving the hiding place you can increase the speed at which you upgrade those skills and I think it's really cool because I think skills will play a role in the ending of the

escape

from Tarkov game like they do in many other RPGs, trying to minimize/maximize your character, you know what I mean, like trying to become a sniper until the end. to 51 so you get all these really cool buffs so when you're shooting, if that's how you like to play, I'm really excited about how they want to do this because what I love about Tarkov is that it brings together so many different types. of games, all in one game and the social skills, I see it as a really cool way to achieve that aspect of realism that they strive for even though it is still a game, but add some of that RPG element to it that it doesn't affects the amount of damage I do.
What I'm going to do with you is not affecting my ability to kill you. You know level one with Mosin can still drop below level 51 person strength, but it gives me a reason to keep playing, it gives me a reason to keep working, and it feels rewarding. because if you've been working hard and have a high level of strength and endurance and then a cleanse happens, you really feel how those soft skills affect your character, they're such miniscule amounts over time, but then when a cleanse happens, you really feel like it was a big deal, but it's true, so it's not very deep.
You know there are a lot of skills here. There are plenty of other

guide

s and the wiki once again if you really want to pick up some of these and learn how to grind. them or if there's a specific quest, definitely check out other guys on YouTube or the wiki, but I hope this helped give you an overview of what the soft skills are that you know, if you're interested, you could totally play. talk about not caring about them at all or if you like this kind of aspect of the game even right now, although they are still playing with it and it's not finished yet, if you like this you can definitely incorporate them into your play style and work with some of these and you will definitely get some benefits.
