Soft Skills Explained! - Ultimate Escape From Tarkov Beginners Guide!
What's up folks, I'm just a test. Welcome back to another
Tarkovvideo. In this video we are going to give a kind of general overview of the
Tarkov. This is definitely not going to be a super deep dive into every single skill and how to level them and how to minify them, there are some really amazing
guides out there that really dive deep into
skillsand then specific
skills, but I wanted to create something for people who are relatively new to the game just wondering if they should even care about
skills, what they are and how they affect their character while playing I extreme
Tarkovon Twitch a few days a week .
All my links are below. I'd love for you to drop by, if you have any questions I'd love to be there to answer them, but with all that out of the way we're going to go ahead and dive right in, so check it out right here from the character screen above a
skillstab right here when you click on it that will pull up all
tarkov. This is a good place to talk about that this system and
skillsare definitely not in their final state right now so I still have a lot of tinkering to do with this system It's not a very accurate representation of the full and complete vision of what the developers of BSG want to do with a
softscale system, which is partly another reason why I don't want to go too deep into how they level and all that stuff because it can change and a lot has changed , even since I've been playing but I think it's an important topic because it's a really cool aspect of the game, but I just wanted to make a note that it's not finished yet, even if you scroll down here you see a lot of
skillsthat are locked right now and when you hover over mitts it says it's not available in beta but the
skillsare kind of really exciting to me , although you know a lot of themes to change bec Because it represents many of the RPG elements that are coming in
Tarkovand that are already present in
Tarkov, these are all
skillsin other RPG
skillsthat you will learn over the course improve over time and have small effects on your character you level up certain ones they keep giving your character more and more perks and that's really cool because not only does it simulate real life mechanics, the more you do something the better you get You in it so that you look like With something like the DMR ability, the more you use that skill, you'll know what I mean about using a specific marksman rifle.
In this case, you get increased reload speed, increased weapon swap speed, and reduced weapon recoil. It's a small amount, but the more you use these types of weapons, the better you'll become at mastering them now. The
skillsare all maxed out at level 51, and when you reach a level 51
softskill you unlock an elite perk, for example the search ability when you unlock the elite perk is that you two search different things at the same time. So lets say you kill a peon see and you go to loot his body. You can search his backpack and chest rig at the same time, which can be incredibly helpful while you're trying to loot the other big thing, giving you a fifty percent chance of instantly searching anything in that bag or container , if you max your alertness combat related
skillsare one of those
skillswhen you get them all the way up that you unlock like a berserk mode which basically just gives you a few seconds of painkillers when you get shot initially which can be incredibly helpful , if you get shot in the leg and your leg turns black you only have a few seconds to get to the hardcover before you start limping stuff like that These aren't where you use a specific weapon or thing need, you know, stamina, just the more you run the more you'll level that up, but it has quite an intense effect a On your character, you already know that level sixteen here I have 32% more stamina than a level 1 character, so each character can really affect him.
Each skill will obviously level up differently based on what skill it is, but this kind of goes into what we talked about, where the way these
skillslevel up and how quickly they level up can vary greatly change. Strength is one that has been tinkered with a lot. It has quite a big effect on your character, allowing you to jump higher, sprint faster, hit harder, throw farther, and carry more weight. There were times in the past when everyone had strength and stamina during a wipe 51 and people ran around like Superman, and then there were other wipes where at the end of a five or six or seven month Y period p Ople had level 6 and 7, so there's a lot of tinkering with them to try and balance them out.
I think the
skillswill really flesh out as more of the game's core mechanics make it through and get balanced, so I wouldn't say that's their top priority, but if they balance those things, they'll start, kinda sinking into yourself unlocking more and they will now have more of an impact on your character as they really affect your playstyle is when you do the quests there are a few
skillsthat are required to complete certain quests to complete and these are sniper health, stress resistance, quest memory and charisma so these
skillshave specific quests associated with them, some of these
skillsare relatively easy and will happen passively in some way like memory.
I don't remember ever happily having to work on the memory ability as when this quest comes you will most likely have that ability leveled up but there are others that definitely require y if you want to focus on snipers there are three various quests as you progress through the game that require you to reach a certain level of sniper skill. If you want to complete these quests you need to use bolt action sniper rifles specifically and you will need to use them a lot, i found i loved this because it kind of taught me how to snipet and
tarkov, the more i played the more used I really get into the guns and some of these missions kind of forced you to use guns more often and learn them, but I'm saying that to say that if you're forced into, say, the cap container, in which you'll want to complete all the quests in the game there will definitely be a few you'll want to keep an eye on so I'll link the wiki below.
The wiki is going to be the absolute best place to go if you're looking to figure out what you need for a specific ability, how best to level it, and that kind of stuff and that stuff gets updated as often in between the wipes as itself change things and the like. Another thing that affects the
skillsis that here you can go to the hideout. So as you start upgrading your Hideout more and more you will actually see that you can use the Hideout to upgrade
skillsfaster two things especially the library which after the upgrade will give you a 30% increase in your handy
skills, and the air filter unit if you have an FP 100 filter in here will now give you a 40% increase in your physical abilities If we go back to the abilities section you can see how they break down the physical abilities: your strength and stamina health Metabolism Stress Resistance A lot of them you need quests and a lot of them have a big impact on your play style You practical
skillscan switch to combat
skillsand you know some of them have nothing right now like I believe there is nothing in the game Winter Special , but the stash you can use, I mean, even just knees right here, especially Di e air filter unit now is definitely like a later game hideout edition, but if you come here and can afford to update this by plugging in a couple of these when you play a long day or weekend you will get better These
skillsgain stamina health 40% faster.
So even if you've completed all the quests and are just trying to get your character to the bare minimum or get to some really good spot, this is a great way to hide out and then there's even a thing or two in the stash that require some level of
skillsi think like vince or something you need like our security you need level 4 strength at the time which will most likely change but know that die Not only does questing affect that, but also the hideout in the sense that some things require certain
skillsand by leveling up the hideout you can actually increase the rate at which you level up those
skillsand I think this is really cool because i think the
skillsare going to play a role in escaping the
tarkovendgame like they do in many other rpgs that try to build your character r really minimizing/maximizing so if you like sniping if you want to play like that I'm really curious how you want to do that because what I love about
Tarkovis that there are so many different types of games in one game and I see it as a really cool way of liking that realism aspect that they're going for even though it's still a game but adding some of that RPG element where it doesn't affect how much damage I do will do to you, it doesn't affect me The ability to kill you, you know, level one with the mosin can still drop from level 51, but it gives me a reason to keep playing, it gives me a reason to keep playing grind, and it feels rewarding when you've worked through it and you have high levels of strength and stamina and then a when a wipe happens you really feel those
skillsaffect your character, it's such tiny amounts during the Time but then when a wipe happens you really feel how big that was but that's kind of right so not super deep you know there's a lot of abilities here, there's a lot of others again
Guides and the wiki if you really want to pick a few of these and learn how to sharpen them or if there is a specific task definitely check out some other youtube people or the wiki but I hope this is the case helped to give you just a general overview of the
skillsyou know, if you care about them at all, you could totally talk about not caring about them at all, or if you don't care about that type of aspect of the Even like the game right now, even if they're still tinkering with it and it's not finished yet, if you like it, you can definitely incorporate this into your playstyle and grind out some of it and definitely get some benefits Alten thanks as always for Taki If you have any questions about this video about the
skillsor how they work please leave a comment below, also if there are other
guides you'd love to see if I do something here in the future You're confused about this, drop that below.
