Feb 27, 2020
hi everyone i'm sharing here with you guys welcome to my channel so today i'm going to show you how you can transform these pretty plain white

candle

s that can pick up a

dollar

tree

into something really super cute now that i can't take full credit for this idea. In fact, I stumbled across it on Pinterest several years ago. It was one of those projects that I wanted to get to and just hadn't been able to until just before Christmas. I actually made a few of these adorable little ones.

snowman

candle

s which I'll insert a picture of right here so I think these turned out really cute and I wanted to bring these up today because I plan on making some

valentine

themed

snowman

candles so let's get started so first thing we'll do What you have to do is remove this little sticker here and if you have really really hot running water in the faucet like me it'll only take about a minute or not even get under it and then you can literally just take your fingernail and just rub t all his thing right away and the glue will come off very very easily if you don't have very hot water go ahead and just boil your kettle or something and pour it in there and like I said this will come right off so I I was able to remove those stickers completely and as I was doing that I also removed the ones at the bottom so now we can go ahead and put our cute little snowman face on our candle and to do that you can do it a number of different ways, but I prefer to use these permanent markers.

I have some markers that work great and you can get them in different colors so I'll probably use the orange one for the nose and then shoot from

also sells a occasion sometimes white is really hard to find but you can find these little pens of paint and these work great for this too now if you don't have permanent markers you can use some acrylic. Dollar Tree paint sells that and a little brush and a little steady hand and you can paint your little face right on the candle but I happen to have these little molds and this definitely makes this job so much easier now you just have to decide which which part of the sail you want to be the front because some of them are better and prettier than others so this one isn't too bad so i'm going to go ahead.

More Interesting Facts About,

simple dollar tree valentine snowman candle diy...

I'm going to take my black marker and find that I don't want to go too low from the top here and I don't want to make the eyes too big but again you can look for some inspiration just look for snowman faces and you can find someone you can be really fancy with this. I'm going to keep this really super

simple

and I found that just little bead eyes and just

simple

little dots for the mouth that's what I like the most, but by all means do what you want. like i said you can search pinterest first for inspiration or you can just like ev on google so i'm going to make a couple of fairly small circles and fill them back in like i said you could use paint and a brush to do this and it doesn't have to be perfect that's the whole idea about homemade things there's no such thing as perfection so that's okay so I have two little eyes of similar size here and the next thing I'm going to put in is a little nose again you could use some acrylic paint for this and again you can make your nose move any way you want.

I've been going like this. You can see now I find this permanent marker I almost have to do a couple different strokes just because it's not very dark and before I found this orange marker I was using the acrylic paint and it actually worked a little better it was darker again, just use whatever you have on hand I've gone through it a few times here so I've got my little nose in place there now and the last thing you can see how quick and easy these come together holy cow I'm just going to put in a few little dots here for the mouth again.

I find that smaller tends to look better, but again, everyone's preference is different. I'm going to let this dry and then I'm going to go back and put a little white dot for the center of the eyes so while it dries now we can dress up our little snowman here a little bit now Dollar Tree had these adorable pretty scarves here Not too long ago when I saw this I thought it would be perfect for Valentine's Day so I'm so glad I picked it up when I saw it because they're not there anymore and then around Christmas time I had also found these infinity scarves with the check Buffalo and I also have this one here and I've already used them and that's what I used for my little Christmas themed snowman candles so today I'm going to go ahead and just cut a little strip here no there's a lot of material here you can get a few little scarves for your snowman I'm going to cut this little fringe of wool here at the bottom we don't need it so I just cut a long strip here it's about what I wear I don't know an inch, inch and a half wide and I had already pre-measured just to see how much material I was going to need to go around my little snowman and it's just a matter of literally tying it to your snowman I mean It couldn't get any easier than that.
Now I'm going to show you how to make this a little fancier so that it looks like it has a little bangs. I only take very sharp scissors. and just take its end and make some thin little cuts here pretty long so it looks like a little bangs just be very careful not to cut yourself with your sharp scissors and then just flip it over and do the same thing on the other side here like so and then now you have a little scarf that has like these little fringes at the end so when you tie it around your little snowman it looks a little bit cuter now you could get really fancy here and make it a little longer and tie your tie your slightly different scarf if you want you can leave one end a little longer than the other it's really up to you how you want to do it but look at that how cute is that we just haven't embellished it yet other than putting a little scarf on it no it is that's super cute and now we can go ahead and embellish our little snowman that's the fun part so I pulled out an assortment of all sorts of things that I kept in my stash m any of the stuff came from Dollar Tree, of course, where it would otherwise come from they're selling these really cute little pieces as wood cutouts right now, so I bought them for Christmas?
I picked up these adorable little wooden mittens that were on these little clips and thought they might be kind of cute to somehow incorporate into the re. Dollar Tree was also selling these really cute snowflakes. I picked them up a long time ago at Dollarama. They are also very, very pretty. I mean, like I said, just go to your stash, try to find whatever you have. I have something from Baker. twine I have some little heart gems here, they work great. I also have some little flower gems as if I would just go and raid your stash.
I'm sure you have something you can decorate your little ones with and then me. I also have an assortment of snowflakes and other things. I really like these little wooden duels. the spot too or you can even make your own it's not hard to do that too these white ones look kinda cute. I also like the craft paper ones, these are a bit big for this little project, but I found these too. I've had these in my stash for a long time Cole I think I bought these at a stationery store probably staples so you get 50 of these they're actually little key tags and they're actually the perfect size perfect for this little project , so I would just remove this little piece of metal. and I think I'm going to use one of these I think it'll be perfect and then we can write whatever we want here as far as I know kind of a

valentine

theme goes so let's go ahead and I'm just going to throw this together and see what we can think of, so I've decided I want to wear these little gloves.
I thought about using the reds, but I think it just gets lost. It's too dark here. Yeah, so I think I'm going to use this kind of gold, the bronze that you colored here once, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take a butter knife and I'm going to pull out this little clothespin. back there we go so there's one so now we have our two little mitts and I'm going to attach just one little mitt with a little bit of this Baker's twine just put some glue here on the back hold my twine there and i thought this would look like little kids when they have their gloves wrapped around their neck so they don't lose their little bits in there tied to a little string.
I think this is going to look really nice, so I'm going to guess how much of this we're going to need. Let's go ahead and tie this right on oh my gosh. yeah that's going to look really cute so i'll put the other side in pretty much the same so here we go it looks really cute the only problem is of course that same thumb here whatever i'm not going to get too hung up on that and I don't think I actually need much more I could put in some little buttons you know how most snowmen have little buttons here on their foreheads so maybe we just put some of those in now you could use real buttons dollar tree actually sells all kinds of colored buttons but i think i'm going to use these little red ones either these or maybe these little wooden hearts will look kinda cute no they're too close to the same color as my gloves here, so I think I'm going to go with the little red one. button, so there's our little snowman.
I think it looks really cute and now it just needs a little sign so I'll just use one of these little key tags I have here. I'll just pull out this little piece of metal. I don't need it here we go and then I'm going to write something here and we'll attach it here to the side somehow so I decided to keep it simple I just put xoxo here and I have a I'm going to use a little piece of my baker's twine to attach this my little snowman under all of this and hang it on the side here so there's what we have I think it's really cute The last thing I need to do is just put a little white dot on the eyes here just to make them stand out a little little better and so i'm going to use my little white dot paint pen and i'm just going to put in a little tiny dot i don't need a really big one and again i go everywhere for inspiration on how big to make your little eyes but i find that just putting them in a little here in the corner looks great so here we go there's our little snowman candle I think it turned out really cute This would make a great little valentines gift or to put on maybe as a tiered tray or on your station coffee I think e that would be a really cute little addition so i hope it inspired you guys to make some of your own valentines candles and until next time happy crafting and i'll see you on the next one bye for now everyone
