were left behind living cup and large rock shaped cocoons at the bottom of the ocean now a group of ontarians have returned to pick them up disguising themselves as

humans

they finish a house with a pool and carry the water with life force to give the ontarians in cocoons

to survive the journey home chart our bow from a local captain named jack who helps them retrieve the cocoons jack spies on kitty a beautiful woman on the crew who rented his boat as she strips naked in his cabin and discovers that she is an alien after the aliens reveal themselves to him and explain what is going on, he decides to help them next door the ontarians are renting their air retirement home three of their residents ben arthur and joe often trespass to swim in the pool next door absorb some of the life force, making them feel younger and stronger, eventually caught in the act, ontario leader Walter gives them permission to use the pool on the condition that they do not touch the cocoons or tell anyone else about it.

the three men begin to take advantage of the pool as they are relieved of their ailments while katie and jack row closer and decide to make love in the pool since she cannot do it the human way she introduces him to the ontarian equivalent in which she shares her life force energy with him the other residents of the retirement home become suspicious after witnessing the climate control of ben's wife mary his friend bernie reveals the secret of the attraction to the other residents running to the pool to swim in its waters when walter finds them they damage one of the cocoons he ejects them from the property the ontarians open the damaged cocoon and the creature inside shares its last moments with walter who begins to cry as he dies later that night bernie discovers that his wife Rose has stopped breathing and carries her body into the pool in an attempt to heal her only to be informed by Walter that the pool no longer works due to the other residents draining their strength in the rush to become young.

Walter explains that the cocoons may survive the trip back to Ontario, but they will. being able to survive on land with the help of jack ben arthur and joe ontarians put the cocoons back into the sea ontarians offer to live in the retirement home with them in ontario where they will never grow old and never die most of them accept the offer but bernie chooses to stay on earth as he leaves ben tells his grandson david that he and mary are gone forever as the residents leave david's mother susan learns of his fate and drives quickly to the retirement home where they find most of the rooms are empty and contact the local authorities while the police search the residence.

David notices Jack's boat with Ontarians and retired residents aboard starting and jumps to the side as it sails away the boat is being chased by the coast guard so with little time left David says goodbye with tears in ben and mary's eyes before jumping into the water the coast guard ship stopped to pick him up giving the others a chance to escape out of nowhere a thick fog appears and strands the remaining coast guard ships and they call off the chase when the incoming boat shows up walter pays jack for his services on the boat jack hugs kitty one last time and they share a kiss then says goodbye to everyone before jumping into an inflatable raft as the boat begins to soaring into ontario ship jack watches the ship disappear into the ship and return to earth a funeral is held for residents missing during the sermon david looks up at the sky and smiles the movie ends with the ontario ship heading towards a shiny object that is supposed to be a hyperspace gateway or portal leading to ontario thanks for watching you can see my other videos here
